Abstract

The objective of this research is to create a Quick Response Code equipped learning module on the human reproductive system that is applicable, doable, and efficient in enhancing student learning results. Students class XI from SMAN 3 Dusun Selatan served as the research subjects. research method Learning modules are created utilizing the ASSURE paradigm, which includes the following steps: (1) Analyze the Learner; (2) State Standards and Objectives; (3) Choose Methods; Media or Materials; (4) Utilize Media and Materials; (5) Require Learner Participation; and (6) Evaluate and Revise. The effectiveness of the instructional module and the students' cognitive learning results are both included in the observed data. Student learning outcomes were determined using the methods of observation, product assessment questionnaires, and tests. The results reveal that the module developed during this learning process received module assessments of 4.28 and 4.68 (feasible criteria were used) from material experts and media experts, respectively. It is possible to increase the module's effectiveness by The learning results for the experimental class's students were computed using the effectiveness formula, and they came out at (74.15%) in the very good effectiveness category. While students' learning results in the experimental class gain a score of 0.67 (medium category), those in the control class receive a score of 0.24. (low category). As a result, it can be said that the learning module created can effectively and practically increase student learning results.

Abstract

Orchid (Orchidaceae) is one among the plants that grow in Taman Wisata Alam (TWA) Bukit Tangkiling, Central Kalimantan. The lack of information about orchid species in that area makes an inventory crucial. The purpose of this study was to inventory the species of orchids in the TWA Bukit Tangkiling area, as well as to learn about the environmental characteristics and distribution patterns of these plants. The research was conducted from October 2022 to March 2023. This research used the exploratory method and the sample was taken using the purposive sampling technique. Seven orchid species were identified as a result of this study: Acriopsis sp., Arachnis sp., Cymbidium finlaysonianum, Dendrobium crumenatum, Bulbophyllum purpurascens, Bromheadia finlaysoniana, and Dipodium pictum. Five species grow on plant stems (epiphytic), while two species grow on soil (terrestrial). Since each species was discovered less than 100 meters above sea level, they were all categorized as lowland orchid species. Dendrobium crumenatum is distributed randomly. The distribution of Bromheadia finlaysoniana, Bulbophyllum purpurascens, and Cyimbidium finlaysonianum is clustered. While the distribution pattern of the rest could not be determined because only one individual was found.

Abstract

The Ngaju Dayak tribe in Tewah Village still uses plants as medicine to cure various diseases. This study aims to identify the species and parts of medicinal plants used by the Dayak Ngaju tribe in Tewah Village, as well as the processing methods and use values of these plants. This descriptive study uses qualitative and quantitative approaches (mixed methods research) and was conducted in Tewah Village. The stages of the research process consist of field observations and the selection of informants to be interviewed, with the latter being determined by the established criteria. The interview was conducted using a semi-structured interview technique, in which plant samples were obtained with the assistance of informants. The plant samples found are then documented, described, identified, and added to a herbarium collection. The result of the research obtained 44 species of medicinal plants that have been utilized for medicinal purposes by the Ngaju Dayak Tribe. The various components of plants that are utilized for medicinal purposes include roots, stems, leaves, fruits, branches, twigs, and sap. The processing of the plants utilized in this method encompasses a variety of techniques, including boiling, heating, pounding, squeezing, baking, and soaking. There are 2 species of medicinal plants, namely plants kayu sambung maut (Condiaeum variegatum) and kangkawang kapas (Leea indica), that have a Use Value (UV) higher than the other 42 plant species. The Relative Use Value (RUV) of the 4 plant species that were predominantly utilized was 4.19.

Abstract

Ramin (Gonystylus bancanus (Miq) Kurz) is a peat swamp plant with commercial value in both national and international markets. However, the existence of ramin is threatened with extinction, due to the imbalance between regrowth and utilization, making it increasingly difficult to obtain ramin seedlings naturally. One of the efforts to propagate ramin is by cuttings. This study aimed to determine the optimum concentration of IBA (Indole Butyric Acid) growth regulator used in supporting the growth of ramin cuttings. The research method used a Randomized Group Design (RGD) consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replicates. The treatment consisted of P0 (control/0 ppm), P1 (IBA concentration 1000 ppm), and P3 (IBA concentration 1500 ppm). The data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results showed that the provision of IBA affects the growth of ramin cuttings. Based on the percentage of cuttings that successfully grew, P0 successfully grew by 50%, P1 successfully grew by 83.33%, P2 successfully grew by 100% and P3 successfully grew by 100%. The average number of shoots of ramin cuttings that successfully grew in the treatment of P0 amounted to 0, P1 treatment amounted to 1, then P2 amounted to 2, and the highest number of shoots was in the treatment of P3 with 3 shoots. It can be concluded that the concentration of IBA 2000 ppm gives the best results when compared to other concentrations based on the percentage of cuttings that managed to grow and the average number of shoots.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the understanding of ecosystem concepts, improve practical skills, and technological literacy of students at SMA Negeri 2 Kahayan Tengah through socialization and training in making environmentally-based terrariums innovated by Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The implementation method includes preparation, training, mentoring, monitoring, and evaluation involving 25 students and 5 teachers. Data was obtained through activity documentation, pre-post tests and student response questionnaires. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in student knowledge with an average pre-test score of 50.83 increasing to 82.40 in the post-test, achieving an N-Gain of 0.61 categorized as medium. Student responses were also highly positive, with 85% rating the activity as engaging, 82% reporting increased environmental awareness, 75% feeling more motivated to learn science, and 80% considering the program relevant to the Merdeka Curriculum. The terrarium products created by students reflected creativity and potential to be further developed as both innovative learning media and marketable products. This program contributes to the implementation of the Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) while introducing IoT applications as an innovation in environment-based education.
