Abstract

 ABSTRACT   In  the  learning  process  the  teacher  as  the  facilitator  should  be  able  to  use  the  varyingstrategies and media, so that stud ents learn more in the spirit and learning process more interesting,so that student learning outcomes for the better, because of the low student learning outcomes arecaused  b y many factors, both factors of students and factor of the teacher. Therefore, teachers canuse  a  variety  of  strategies  and  media  are  varied,  so  that  the  goal  can  be  achieved  with  goodlearning.  One  of  them  is  the  use  o f  interactive  media  with  charging  TTS,  This  study  aims  todetermine  the  effect  of  the  use  of interactive med ia with  charging TTS  on learning outcomes inbiology  class  XI  student of SMAN  2  Lengayang, This  research  is  an  experimental  study  with  adesign  Rando mized  Control  Group  Posttest  Only Design. The  population  in  this  study  were  allstudents  of  class  XI  in  SMAN  2  Lengayang  enrolled  in  the  second   semester  of  academic  year200 13 /2014.  Sampling  was  done  by  p urposive  sampling  technique.  Then  by  using  purposivesampling obtained experimental class ( XIIA1 ) and control classes ( XIIA2  ). Data were analyzedusing t-test. Fro m the results of the study revealed that the experimental class had an average value( 74,91 ) is higher than the average value of the control class ( 59,8 ).  After the data were analyzedby t test, obtained the price thi t ung  7, 16 and tt ab e l  1, 67. Thus t c oun t  > t t a bl e ,  which means that H1  isaccepted. In other words, it can be concluded that the use of interactive media  with charging TTShas  an  influence  on  learning  outcomes  in  biology  class  XI  student  of  SMAN  2  Lengayang.

Abstract

The result of research interviews with biology teacher at SMPN 2 Sungai Limau, Padang- Pariaman district revealed that, when the teacher explains the material in human digestive system, teachers only explain lessons using media board. Though these materials, demanding to know the structure of the digestive organs and the digestive process. In addition, the average value of students for the material is still below 65, while KKM. The KKM is 77. So that the material presented by the teacher cannot be understood by the students well. Besides this, materials contained in these schools is not sufficient for the number of pupils and students only have worksheets that are not in accordance with the applicable curriculum. The purpose of this study is to look at the validity of the media images with applications movie maker in human digestive system materials for junior level. This research is development research and the data processed by descriptive statistik. Results of this study was to test the validity of media images with applications movie maker in human digestive system materials for junior high school is very valid with the average of 89.75%. And concluded that the validity of the media image with movie maker app on the human digestive system materials for junior high schools categorized as very valid with a average is 89.75%.

Abstract

Media merupakan salah satu perantara yang digunakan untuk menyampaikan pesan dari komunikator kepada komunikan. Dalam dunia pendidikan, media dikenal sebagai perantara yang digunakan untuk menyampaikan pesan agar mahasiswa memahami materi yang disampaikan oleh dosen kepada mahasiswanya agar tujuan pembelajaran tercapai. Proses perkuliahan menuntut mahasiswa untuk mampu memahami beberapa standar kompetensi, kompetensi dasar, indikator dan tujuan pembelajaran yang ditetapkan oleh berbagai materi. Termasuk materi perkuliahan perkembangan hewan. Perkuliahan perkembangan hewan membahas mengenai pengertian biologi perkembangan, teori-teori perkembangan dan prinsip-prinsip perkembangan, gametogenesis, fertilisasi, cleavage dan blastulsi, gastrulasi, neurulasi, membran ekstra embrio dan plasenta, organogenesis, metamorphosis, regenersi dan kelainan perkembangan. Hampir semua materi pada mata kuliah ini menunjukkan suatu proses atau mekanisme pembentukkan, yang sukar diamati secara langsung dengan kasat mata dan hanya pada beberapa organisme tertentu (yang tidak dilapisi cangkang) yang dapat diamati di laboratorium. Uji efektivitas ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah media interaktif pada materi neurulasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Efektivitas suatu produk dilihat dari aktivitas belajar, dan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Dari keseluruhan aspek pada hasil pengamatan aktivitas mahasiswa dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran dalam bentuk media interaktif memperoleh nilai 79.16% dengan kategori efektif, yang bisa diartikan bahwa media interaktif berorintasi konstruktivisme ini dapat membuat aktivitas pembelajaran menjadi efektif.

Abstract

 Teaching materials are part of all forms of written materials used to help the teachers in carrying out learning activities. A professional teacher is also required to produce teaching materials. Based on the observation, the teachers only utilize teaching materials in the form of a worksheet (LKS). LKS used for teaching is not in accordance with the curriculum needed and many images are not clearly visible. Thus, it has been developed teaching material in form of Student Worksheet (LKS) on Living Organizational System topic that has done validity test with validation result is 85.27% (criterion is very valid). For next, research to test the practicality which is a continued of the development stage. This research is a research development (Research and Development) with four D models. Data obtained are analyzed by descriptive analysis. From the result of the research, the value of practicality from teachers is 94,94% (very practical) and from a student is 87,01% (very practical). Then it can be concluded LKS based on learning cycle 5-e approach on Living Organization System topic developed is very practical.

Abstract

Genetika merupakan salah satu mata kuliah Keilmuan dan Keterampilan dalam bidang Biologi danmerupakan mata kuliah wajib di program studi pendidikan Biologi STKIP PGRI Sumbar Padang.Konsep-konsep genetika sulit dipahami mahasiswa. Selama perkuliahan mahasiswa hanyamengharapkan informasi dari dosen padahal fasilitas perpustakaan dan wifi sudah tersedia.Mahasiswa tidak mampu menyelesaikan soal-soal genetika yang lebih banyak membahas soal-soalhitungan layaknya matematika. Selama ini belum tersedia lembar kerja mahasiswa yang memadai.Akibatnya proses belajar tuntas (Mastery learning) tidak terlaksana dan hasil belajar mahasiswa masihrendah pada mata kuliah genetika. Tujuan penelitian ini mengembangkan lembar kerja mahasiswaberbasis Mastery learning pada mata kuliah genetika yang praktis dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini,penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan 4-D models. Teknik analisis data yang digunakanadalah analisis deskriptif yang mendeskripsikan hasil uji kepraktisan dan keefektifan lembar kerjamahasiswa berbasis Mastery learning. Hasil uji kepraktisan lembar kerja mahasiswa berbasis Masterylearning pada mata kuliah genetika berada pada kriteria 80,33% dan 80,14% yang berarti lembar kerjamahasiswa ini praktis digunakan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa. Lembar kerja mahasiswa berbasisMastery learning efektif karena dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar mahasiswa.Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah lembar kerja mahasiswa berbasis Mastery learning pada mata kuliahgenetika dinyatakan praktis dan efektif.   Genetics is one of the subjects that must be followed by students in Biology study programe. Abstract

Abstrack: Cough ≥ 2 weeks are the main symptoms of tuberculosis diagnosis accompanied by phlegm.Symptoms that accompany the cough bleed, decreased appetite,weight loss, night sweats (no activity) and no signs of infection. Tuberculosis is a disease of the lungs caused by gram-positive rod bacterium (Mycobakterium tuberculosis). This research is a descriptive nature experiment is to determine the presence of bacteria mycobacterium tuberculosis in sputum of patients cough ≥ 2 weeks in the Internal Medicine Clinic Dr BLU. Prof. Dr. Kandou with smear using Ziehl Neelsen.The results are 50 samples, 23 (46%) positive and 27 (54%) negative.Presentation by gender with the most positive smear on male sex 65.2% from than 34.8% of women.Presentation of the age group with the highest incidence of smear positive cases in the age group 55-74 years old 39.3%. Conclusion: Examination of acid fast bacilli in the sputum of patients cough ≥ 2 weeks needs to be done in order to determine the existence of bacteria mycobacterium tuberculosis.Tuberculosis is most common in males than in females in the age group 55-74 years old.Keyword: cough more than two weeks, tuberculosis, BTA.Abstrak: Batuk ≥ 2 minggu merupakan gejala utama diagnosis penyakit tuberkulosis yang disertai dengan dahak. Gejala yang menyertai yaitu batuk yang mengeluarkan darah, nafsu makan menurun, penurunan berat badan, keringat pada malam hari (tanpa aktifitas) dan ada tanda-tanda infeksi.Tuberkulosis paru ini adalah penyakit yang menyerang paru yang disebabkan oleh bakteri batang gram positif (Mycobakterium tuberkulosis).Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskritif bersifat ekperimen yaitu untuk mengetahui adanya kuman mycobacterium tuberkulosis pada sputum penderita batuk ≥ 2 minggu di Poliklinik Penyakit Dalam BLU RSUP.Prof. Dr. Kandou dengan di lakukan pemeriksaan BTA mengunakan pewarnaan ziehl neelsen.Hasil penelitian terdapat 50 sampel, 23 (46%) positif dan 27 (54%) negatif. Presentasi berdasarkan jenis kelamin dengan bta positif terbanyak pada jenis kelamin laki-laki 65,2% daripada perempuan 34,8%. Presentasi kelompok umur dengan bta positif terbanyak terjadi pada kelompok umur 55 – 74 tahun 39,3%. Simpulan: Pemeriksaan basil tahan asam (BTA) pada sputum penderita batuk ≥ 2 minggu perlu dilakukan agar mengetahui adanya kuman mycobacterium tuberkulosis. Tuberkulosis paling sering terjadi pada laki-laki dibandingkan perempuan pada kelompok umur 55 - 74 tahun.Kata Kunci: batuk lebih dari 2 minggu, tuberkulosis, BTA.

Abstract

The effectiveness of animal physiology practical book based on guided inquiry model is the essential factor to achievement student understanding a about animal physiology concepts. The purpose of this study was to observe the effectiveness of animal physiology practical book based on guided inquiry model in Padang State University. The variables measured were affective, cognitive, psychomotor, and students? activities. The data of this pre-experimental research were analyzed using averaged, percentage and standardized with Institutional assessment criteria. The results showed that the mean values were: 90.56 for affective competency (Criteria A), 82 for knowledge (Criteria A), and 89.66 for skills (Criteria A). Meanwhile, the percentage of student activities was 90.74% with very active category. It can be concluded that the effectiveness of practical book based on guided inquiry model was very effective to optimized student competences.

Abstract

Based on the writer’s interview with lecturers of animal development, to explain of cleavage and blastulation matter which most of it includes a process, difficult to explain the material to students. Medium on the market have been not compatible with curriculum. Therefore, a medium that will be used to visualize cleavage and blastulation process as a whole should be considered in order to make students’ understanding to this material can increase. The purpose of this research is to produce interactive medium with constructivism orientation, that is valid, practical and effective for cleavage and blastulation material. This research is categorized as development research. Model and procedure of the development apply 4-D(four-D models) that consists of define, design, develop, and disseminate stage. The data of this research that are going to be used in deciding the validatiy of interactive medium with constructivism orientation are derived from validation sheet.  The data requied to determine practicality  was obtained fom questionnaire of lectures and student. Effectiveness data was obtained fom activity. This research showed that  the average of validity, practicality, and effectiviness. Obtain the  validation average 88.8%, average of practicality from lecturer 75.9% and from students 75.82%, and the average results in terms of effectiviness of student activities 75.9%, and the average of their lesson outcomes 57.9. It is concluded that the development of interactive medium based on constructivism of cleavage and blastulation material in animal development subject is valid, quite practical, and quite effective.

Abstract

. This research aims to produce biology e-module teaching materials equipped with a valid and practical Quick Response (QR) Code for SMA/MA Phase F students. The research carried out is developmental research. The model applied is a 4-D model which consists of 4 stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate, due to limited cost and time, research was carried out only up to the develop stage. Data was obtained directly from 5 validators. The research subjects were 2 biology teachers and 28 students in class XII Phase F of SMA Negeri 1 Pulau Punjung. Based on the validity value by strategy, media and material validators, the criteria were very valid with an average value of 92,31%. The results of practicality tests carried out by teachers and students obtained very practical criteria with an average of 95% by teachers and 91,70% by students. Based on the research that has been carried out, teaching materials in the form of e-modules have been produced on the transport and exchange of substances in humans for Phase F SMA/MA which are very valid and very practical.
