Abstract

The lack of appreciation among students at SMK Saraswati and SMA Kristen Satya Wacana in Salatiga towards instructors during lessons, coupled with the limited use of instructional materials (primarily textbooks), which are often solely held by educators and not accessible to students, prompted this research. This study aims to develop and evaluate a media-based Scout learning guide to enhance teaching effectiveness on Scout topics such as Scouting History, Morse Code, Semaphore, and Knotting. Currently, these topics lack sufficient media resources, leading to student difficulties in comprehending and mastering the material. This research employs the ADDIE model, comprising the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation, to ensure a systematic and comprehensive development process. The instruments used include practicality questionnaires for Scout instructors and students, validation questionnaires from content and media experts, and tests assessing students' understanding of Scout topics. Validation results show that the guide received scores of 76% from media experts, 86% from content experts, and 74% from prospective users. Overall, the guide achieved an average score of 72% in terms of practicality and feasibility, indicating that it falls into the "highly suitable" category for use in secondary school settings. These findings suggest that the ADDIE model-based learning guide is not only feasible but also effective in helping students better understand Scout topics and fostering their interest in Scouting activities. Therefore, it can be concluded that developing media-based learning materials using the ADDIE model results in a guide that is both feasible and effective for use in secondary school Scout education.

Abstract

Kualitas pembelajaran yang rendah disebabkan karena guru kurang mengembangkan kemampuan profesionalnya. Kemampuan professional guru menjadi tanggungjawab kepala sekolah dalam melakukan supervise pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh pelaksanaan supervisi akademik oleh kepala sekolah terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran guru dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subyek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru bagian kurikulum, tim supervisi yang berjumlah 5 orang, guru mata pelajaran IPS dan PPKn sejumlah 5 orang serta peserta didik kelas VIII yang berjumlah 179 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara dan tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi akademik oleh kepala sekolah berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran guru dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Supervisi akademik telah dilakukan mulai perencanaan, pelaksanaan, monitoring dan tindaklanjut sesuai dengan buku pedoman supervisi dan penilaian kinerja guru. Supervisi yang dilakukan kepala sekolah berdampak pada peningkatan kemampuan professional guru dan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran. Implikasi penelitian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi professional guru dan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran yang ada di kelas sehingga mutu pendidikan semakin baik.

Abstract

Calon guru yang dalam hal ini mahasiswa FKIP perlu mengikuti perkembangan kurikulum merdeka. Modul ajar sebagai salah satu perangkat pembelajaran dalam kurikulum merdeka yang perlu dikembangkan dengan dukungan media pembelajaran yang berbasis digital. Dengan menggunakan teknologi digital, mahasiswa dapat menyusun media pembelajaran inovatif. Pengabdian ini meliputi tahapan penyampaian materi, pendampingan penyusunan modul ajar dan pendampingan pelaksanaaan. Hasil kegiatan ini yang berupa Pendampingan Penyusunan Modul Ajar Kurikulum Merdeka memanfaatan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Digital Bagi mahasiswa FKIP UKSW untuk meningkatkan pemahaman peserta melalui kegiatan yaitu pendampingan penyusunan modul ajar kurikulum merdeka berbasis IT telah berhasil dilaksanakan.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang efektif ditunjukkan dengan adanya hubungan timbal balik antara siswa dan guru saat proses pembelajaran melalui penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang inovatif dan kreatif. Namun ditemukan guru masih menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang tidak melibatkan siswa dan tidak memotivasi siswa untuk aktif belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis metode index card match untuk meningkatkan keaktifan dan motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran PPKn Kelas X. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus yaitu tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa TPM B kelas X SMK. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode flashcard match dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan motivasi belajar siswa yang meningkatkan aktivitas dan motivasi belajar siswa dari pramenengah (20,58%) hingga Siklus I (61,76%) dan siklus II (82,35%). Simpulan penelitian menunjukkan penerapan metode pembelajaran Index Card Match (ICM) dalam pembelajaran PPKn materi hubungan Pancasila dan UUD 1945 di kelas X dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan motivasi belajar siswa. Implikasi penelitian ini yaitu dapat menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan sehingga membuat siswa akan aktif, sehingga dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar.

Abstract

Nationalism is a character trait that reflects attitudes, values, and behaviors demonstrating love, pride, and responsibility towards the nation and the state. Nationalism is not just about love for the homeland, but also includes a commitment to maintaining unity, advocating for common interests, and respecting the diversity present in society. As the next generation, youth bear a significant responsibility in balancing modernization with the preservation of local traditions. This study aims to analyze the role of youth in cultivating the character of nationalism while preserving local wisdom amidst globalization. The research uses a qualitative approach with literature study and in-depth interviews involving youth, community leaders, and cultural practitioners. The focus of the study is on how youth can be a driving force in integrating local wisdom values into daily life without neglecting innovation and progress. The research was conducted in the Tabaggunung Hamlet, Brongkol Village, Jambu Subdistrict, Semarang Regency. This location was chosen because the local culture and wisdom are still thriving. The study began with coordination with the head of Tabaggunung Hamlet, followed by a Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Subsequently, FGDs and in-depth interviews were conducted with several youths, community leaders, and cultural practitioners. The researcher also planned a cultural performance or local cultural attraction presented by the community as a simple demonstration of local culture. This cultural attraction supports the research data regarding the role of youth. The research findings are: (1) Fostering the younger generation in developing and preserving local cultural wisdom, (2) Preserving local cultural wisdom through local arts, (3) Building character education for the community through local arts.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar PPKn siswa dalam proses pembelajaran daring disebabkan karena kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar PPKn siswa menggunakan aplikasi quizizz. Penelitian ini tergolong kedalam jenis penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus penelitian, dimana pada masing-masing siklus penelitian terdapat empat tahapan yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini yakni siswa kelas VII SMP yang berjumlah 34 siswa. pengumpulan data dalam penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode tes, observasi, dan wawancara dengan instrument penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar PPKn. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Adapun indikator keberhasilan ditentukan sebesar 90% peserta didik hasil belajarnya tuntas KKM ≥75. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase ketercapaian yang tuntas KKM pada pra siklus adalah 47% menjadi 56% siklus I dan 100% pada siklus II. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar setelah penggunaan aplikasi quizizz.

Abstract

The development of local wisdom-based character education training modules is included in R & D research. This development research uses Sugiyono's development model with the following steps: (1) potential and problems, (2) data collection, (3) product design, (4) design validation, (5) design revision, (6) product testing and (7) product revision. In this study, trials were limited to 10 teachers. Data collection with interviews, questionnaires and validation. Next, the data analysis uses the normality test, hypothesis test, likert scale. The results of the data analysis obtained normal data, in which the hypothesis test concluded that there was a difference between the pretest and posttest training, the questionnaire results showed a value of 3.2 was said to be feasible. Furthermore, the validation test obtained the number 77, 5% in the category worthy of being tested. This module consists of modules for trainers and modules for participants along with plans for implementing training. Principals are advised to carry out training with local wisdom-based character education training modules, for teachers it is recommended to participate in training.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of batik with the Shibori technique in strengthening nationalistic character through the preservation of local wisdom. Batik, as Indonesia's cultural heritage, carries deep aesthetic and philosophical values, while the Shibori technique, originating from Japan, has been adapted by Indonesian batik artisans to create new works that still uphold traditional values. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design, involving interviews, observations, and literature reviews in several well-known batik-producing regions in Indonesia, such as Solo, Yogyakarta, and Pekalongan. The results of the study indicate that the Shibori technique in batik can enrich Indonesian textile art products and strengthen nationalism by fostering pride in local cultural heritage. Furthermore, batik with the Shibori technique also has the potential to introduce batik to younger generations while showcasing Indonesia's cultural richness on the international stage. However, the main challenge is maintaining a balance between preserving traditional techniques and innovating in batik development. The study concludes that Shibori batik plays an essential role in strengthening nationalistic character through the preservation of local wisdom, which can shape the nation's identity and enhance pride in Indonesian culture

Abstract

The present study examines the traditional art of Kuda Lumping through the perspective of character values reflected in the principles of Pancasila. As a traditional Indonesian cultural practice, Kuda Lumping represents a local heritage with aesthetic appeal and deep moral significance relevant to social life. However, its existence faces increasing threats from globalisation and modern lifestyle changes, mainly due to a lack of artist regeneration. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method, data were collected via in-depth interviews with Kuda Lumping artists, community figures, art observers, and elementary school teachers and students, alongside direct observations and a review of relevant literature. The research aims to identify character values within Kuda Lumping that align with Pancasila, analyse factors influencing its sustainability, and explore strategies for its preservation as a medium for cultural and character education. The findings emphasise the importance of maintaining Kuda Lumping as part of the national cultural identity and a tool for fostering Pancasila values, especially among elementary students. The study also proposes strategic recommendations, including arts-based education programmes, digitalising performances, and enhancing support from government and cultural communities. It is hoped that Kuda Lumping will continue to flourish as both a cultural heritage and a means of character development aligned with Pancasila.

Abstract

The rapid pace of globalization has resulted in a decline in the younger generation's concern for the values of nationalism and the preservation of local wisdom. In addition, the lack of active involvement of the younger generation in character education efforts and the preservation of traditional culture widens the gap between expectations and reality in the formation of national identity. This study aims to analyze and evaluate the role of the younger generation in strengthening nationalism-based character education while preserving local wisdom as a strategy for forming the nation's cultural identity. This research uses qualitative research with a case study design. The research subjects consisted of 40 youths as the main informants. Data collection methods included interviews, observations, and documentation, with instruments in the form of interview sheets, observation sheets, and documentation sheets. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the active participation of the younger generation in character-based education and local culture preservation is able to strengthen their love for the country, preserve traditional arts such as kuda lumping, wayang, and ketoprak, and foster their responsibility as successors to the nation's culture. Thus, it can be concluded that the younger generation plays a strategic role in internalizing the value of nationalism and preserving local wisdom so that it remains alive in the midst of modernization. The implication of this research is the need to develop character education programs based on local cultural.
