Abstract

Thoyyiban halal food is a fundamental requirement for the Muslim community in terms of fulfilling nutritional needs. The significance of halal and thoyyiban food lies not only in its role as a source of nutrition but also in its contribution to mental and spiritual well-being. Presently, there is a pressing issue within the community concerning the lack of attention during the selection of processing materials and procurement efforts. Natural ingredients serve as an alternative to address this issue. Consequently, community empowerment aims to socialize and provide training in the production of food based on halal and thoyyiban principles using natural ingredients in the Merjosari village, Malang. The type of community service carried out involves engaging the community not only as the object but also as the subject of the community service. The participants in this activity include the representatives of the Women's Welfare Movement (PKK) from sub-districts 3 and 4 of Merjosari, Lowokwaru, Malang. The community members are provided with socialization and training regarding the production of food based on halal and thoyyiban principles using natural ingredients. The results of this community service activity demonstrate a positive response from the participants. Data indicates a good level of understanding among the participants regarding the content and practices, amounting to 75%. This is evidenced by the participants' ability to select halal and thoyyiban ingredients and create flavor enhancer products using shrimp shells and health drinks

Abstract

Majapahit Java has customary law, namely rules prohibiting "kembar manten" marriages, namely two bride and groom couples marrying at the same time, and the walimah party is held together with the symbol 'kuwade' in one 'terop'. This study employs empirical legal methodologies, incorporating a phenomenological and anthropological approach. Meanwhile, the analytical tools encompass notions related to natural law, justice, and the anthropology of Islamic law. The collection of primary data was conducted through interviews of traditional authorities, religious leaders, knowledgeable individuals in the customary laws, and marriage practitioners who perform 'Kembar Manten' marriages in Mojokerto. The examination was conducted utilizing Thomas Aquinas' theory of natural law and justice, joining with the anthropology of Islamic law. In order to achieve justice in the natural law, it is necessary to have a policy and proportionality when making the walimah ursy, which is specifically created for a single wedding pair. In the field of the Islamic law anthropology, the 'Kembar Manten' refer to customs and customary laws that are regarded obligatory and advantageous. They are intended to promote the welfare of both the bride and groom's families. Neither the Qur’an nor the Hadith provide any instructions suggesting that the walimah ursy is meant for more than one couple during a single walimah. The ban of 'Kembar Manten' in the framework of  Islamic legal anthropology is a customary practice within the community aimed at achieving well-being and security. Provided that the rules are designed to promote goodness and safety, it is imperative to preserve the values of local wisdom rules as a valuable cultural heritage of the nation. This article aims to enhance understanding of the customary law and local wisdom values in the Indonesian marital law.

Abstract

Green mussels, or Perna viridis, are a well-liked fishery product in the community. It can grow happily in a loch, seabord, or mangrove downstream. Through its eggshell, it takes in metals, including mercury (Hg). This study measures the effect of temperature and digestion composition on the amount of mercury (Hg) in green mussels using reflux digestion by cold vapour absorption spectrophotometry (CV-AAS). Utilizing Cold Vapour Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (CV-AAS) at a wavelength of 253,7 nm, the study's methodology entails figuring out the ideal digestion composition and temperature for various HNO3 p.a.: H2O2 p.a. destructor compositions (1:0; 2:1; 4:1; 10:3). The results of the investigation indicated that the optimal temperature was 800C. With a p-value (0,023) > a (0,05), the t-test result demonstrated a significant effect utilizing the variation in digestion composition. The general public can still safely consume green mussels from Muncar Beach because the sample, which was taken at the ideal temperature and with different digestion variations, contained 0.359 parts per million of mercury. The Indonesian National Standard's maximum limit is not met by these results.

Abstract

Nanoparticles are small particles that can penetrate physiological barriers in the body and circulate in the circulatory system. Nanoparticles are very small, just like atoms, which cannot be seen directly by the eye and require a microscope to see them. Nanoparticles are made with a very small size to overcome difficulties in dissolving active substances, improve poor bioviability of compounds, and directly modify drug delivery systems to specific areas. The Qur'an does not specifically discuss nanoparticles, but the Qur'an explains it implicitly in the word zarrah which is repeated 6 times. The repetition of the word zarrah is in Q.S An-Nisa'/4 verse 40, Q.S Yunus/10 verse 61, Q.S Saba'/34 verse 3, Q.S Saba'/34 verse 22, and Q.S Al-Zalzalah/99 verses 7-8. This research method uses thematic interpretation, namely the method of interpretation through the collection of verses of the Qur’an with the same topic to be studied. Scholars and commentators interpret zarrah as a small seed or red ant head or something small in size. Modern commentators always associate zarrah with atoms because of their very small size. Along with the times, there is currently a new technology in the medical world that uses small particles such as atoms known as nanoparticles

Abstract

Consumer selection of quality food ingredients is an important part in determining the thayyib of food. This is not without reason considering that only quality food with the right quantity can support health. Therefore we need food that is safe for consumption, therefore choosing the right food is the focus that must be considered. Islam regulates this both normatively and operationally. This paper tries to review the thayyib narrations explained in the Koran which are then related to science. The method used in this study is thematic interpretation using a scientific approach. The results of the study show that the word thayyib does not only mean good and useful but is also selective in choosing the right food, whether it is to be consumed in the form of food that has been served or in the form of food ingredients.

Abstract

The scientific miracles in the Quran indicate God's ability to create the universe and humanity. The ayat alkawnia illustrate the stability of natural phenomena and link these Ayat to the divine cause. The stages of human creation are represented, starting from clay to the sperm, then the Elaqa, the Madagha, the bones, and finally the blowing of the spirit. Many surah, such as Al-Mu'minun and Al-Hajj, clarify these stages. These ayat reflect a scientific understanding that was not available at the time of the Quran's revelation, enhancing its status as a book of truth and affirming the connection between science and faith.

Abstract

The Qur'an is an extraordinary miracle for the universe that provides guidance to humans, and contains scientific signs and information that can be verified through advances in scientific methods and discoveries in the modern era. The use of medicinal plants/herbs in healing diseases is prominent in Islamic teachings, such as the fig plant (Ficus carica L.). This research uses a qualitative descriptive method by collecting data from various library sources, including journals, books and other literature. The fig plant (Ficus carica L.) belongs to the Moraceae family and has potential as a source of bioactive chemicals. Allah has mentioned figs in Surah At-Tin verse 1 and mentioned their benefits in preventing hemorrhoids and useful for bone diseases, as conveyed in the Hadith by the Prophet Muhammad Saw., through Abu Dzar. Fig plants contain phytochemicals such as flavonoids, polyphenols, saponins, xanthol, and ꞵ-setosterol, and contain iodine, calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, sulfur (phosphate), chlorine, malic acid, and nicotinic acid. Fig plants have an important role in maintaining health by fighting oxidative stress from free radicals, preventing cancer, avoiding blood vessel disease, reducing the risk of paralysis, maintaining respiratory function, reducing liver inflammation, warding off leprosy, relieving headaches, and maintaining a healthy nervous system.
