Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Pertama, mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF. Kedua, mendeskripsikan implikasi nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF terhadap pembelajaran teks novel kelas XII SMA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah data tentang nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF. Data tersebut berupa frasa, kata dan kalimat yang terdapat dalam novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF, yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2020 oleh penerbit RDM Publisher dengan tebal 256 halaman. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri dengan bantuan tambahan format lembaran pencatatan dan mendeskripsikan data yang ditemukan dalam bentuk analisis. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu Pertama, membaca dan memahami novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF. Kedua menandai kajian-kajian kalimat yang merupakan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat di alam novel. Ketiga mencatat data-data yang sesuai dengan masalah penelitian (nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter) yang terdapat di dalam novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF. Keempat, mengklasifikasi data yang berhubungan dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter berdasarkan indikator dalam novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF. Teknik pengabsahan data yaitu uraian rinci. Teknik analisis data yaitu Pertama, reduksi data. Kedua penyajian data. Ketiga verifikasi data. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan, ditemukan Sembilan jenis nilai pendidikan karakter dalam novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF. Pertama, nilai pendidikan karakter religius. Kedua, nilai pendidikan karakter jujur. Ketiga, nilai pendidikan karakter disiplin . Keempat, nilai pendidikan karakter kerja keras. Kelima, nilai pendidikan karakter mandiri. Keenam, nilai pendidikan karakter rasa ingin tahu. Ketujuh, nilai pendidikan karakter bersahabat/komunikatif. Kedelapan, nilai pendidikan karakter cinta damai. Kesembilan, nilai pendidikan karakter

Abstract

THE EFFECT OF THE PROJECT BASED LEARNING MODEL ASSISTED BY AUTHENTIC MEDIA ON THE NEWS TEXT WRITING SKILLS OF GRADE XI STUDENTS OF STATE HIGH SCHOOL 5 MERANGIN This study aims to describe the news text writing skills of class XI students of SMA Negeri 5 Merangin before and after the implementation of the Project Based Learning model assisted by authentic media and analyze the effect of its implementation on improving news text writing skills. This type of research is quantitative research with an experimental method using a one group pretest-posttest design. The study population was all class XI students of SMA Negeri 5 Merangin in the 2025/2026 academic year, totaling 192 students, while the study sample was 32 class XI F6 students selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was a performance test of news text writing skills assessed based on indicators of news text structure, completeness of 5W + 1H elements, and reading journalistic language and EYD. The results showed that the average value of students' text writing skills before treatment was 55.53 with an Almost Sufficient qualification, while after treatment it increased to 78.51 with a Good qualification. The results of the t-test show that the calculated t_value > t_table (7.97 > 1.697) at a significance level of 0.05, so it can be concluded that the application of the Project Based Learning model assisted by authentic media has a significant effect on the news writing skills of class XI students of SMA Negeri 5 Merangin.

Abstract

This study has the following objectives. First, to describe the planning for implementing the GI Cooperative Learning Model in writing poetry texts for eighth-grade students at UPT SMP N 1 Pancung Soal. Second, to describe the implementation of the GI Cooperative Learning Model in writing poetry texts for eighth-grade students at UPT SMP N 1 Pancung Soal. Third, to describe the evaluation of the implementation of the GI Cooperative Learning Model in writing poetry texts for eighth-grade students at UPT SMP N 1 Pancung Soal. This research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. The results indicate that: First, the planning for implementing the GI Cooperative Learning Model in writing poetry texts for eighth-grade students at UPT SMP N 1 Pancung Soal is optimal. The teacher has determined the learning topic and subtopics, compiled a module containing the syntax of the GI Cooperative Learning Model, created an assessment rubric, prepared learning media, and teaching materials. Second, the implementation of the GI Type Cooperative learning model in writing poetry texts for class VIII students of UPT SMP N 1 Pancung Soal has been carried out by the implementing teacher. Third, the evaluation of learning skills in writing poetry texts using process and outcome evaluation with assessment and observation rubrics, found that the implementation process was in accordance with the planning. Thus, it can be concluded that students' poetry writing skills have been at a good category level in accordance with the rules for writing good and correct poetry texts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by Canva media on poetry writing skills in eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 3 X Koto Singkarak. The PjBL model was chosen because it encourages students to actively design real-life projects, stimulates creativity, collaboration, and in-depth idea processing. Canva media is used as an organizational tool and a medium for conveying material about poetry texts in an engaging manner. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected through poetry writing tests before (pretest) and after (posttest) the application of the PjBL model assisted by Canva media. The research instrument was an assessment rubric that covered the suitability of the content to the theme/title, the use of diction and imagery, and the physical and spiritual structure of the poem. Data analysis included the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene's homogeneity test, and a paired sample t-test to determine significant differences between the pretest and posttest. The results showed a significant improvement in students' poetry writing skills after implementing the Canva-assisted Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. Students' average scores increased from 58.01 to 80.92. A paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Canva-assisted Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model is effective in improving students' poetry writing skills. This model not only provides knowledge and understanding of poetry but also facilitates the development of students' creativity, critical thinking, collaboration skills, and digital literacy. The use of Canva also provides visual and interactive support that facilitates students' understanding of poetry, making learning more engaging and meaningful.

Abstract

This study tested the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in teaching writing fiction review texts. This study took place in the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year using a quasi-experimental pre-test post-test single group design in class XI SMKN 3 Padang. The population of this study were students of class XI TKJ 2 who participated in learning activities to write fiction reviews before using the PjBL model and who participated in learning to write fiction reviews after using the PjBL model and submitted fiction review writing tests in each learning activity. They numbered 34 students. The sample was determined to be 32 students based on a statistical formula developed by Slavin. Data on writing fiction reviews were collected using a test for work on one of two short story texts provided. The test was compiled using a systematic and objective procedure using eleven indicators. The answer sheet was scored using a scoring rubric involving eleven indicators containing 80 maximum scores and 0 minimum scores. A checklist was used to internally validate the scoring results and the results of the data analysis. The research data were analyzed using parametric inferential statistical procedures, namely a one-sample t-test for each test result and a paired sample t-test to determine the effectiveness of the PjBL model in learning to write reviews of fictional works. The results of the study: 1) the results of learning to write fictional work review texts before using the PjBL model were in the low category; 2) the results of learning to write fictional work review texts after using the PjBL model were in the high category; 3) the PjBL model was effective for use in learning to write fictional work reviews in class XI of SMKN 3 Padang.
