Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is purposed to describe Minangkabau phonetic characteristics in Sungai Pagu district Solok Selatan regency. Phonetic characteristics described in this research were: (1) vocal, (2) consonant, (3) diphthong, (4) vocal distribution, (5) consonant distribution, and (6) diphthong distribution. The type of this research was qualitative research with descriptive method. Data for this research was words used by people in Sungai Pagu district. Minangkabau phonetic characteristics in Sungai Pagu district were: (1) there were 6 vocals, i.e. [i], [e], [ə], [a], [u], and [o], (2) there were 6 consonants, i.e. [p], [b], [t], [d], [k], [g], [?], [c], [j], [f], [s], [ɣ], [h], [r], [l], [m], [n], [ñ], [ƞ], [w], and [y], (3) there were 10 diphthong, i.e. [iu], [ia], [ua], [au], [ai], [ui], [ie], [ou], [əu], and [ue], (4) there were 5 vocal distributions could be used in all positions and 1 vocal distribution could not be used in all positions, (5) there were 8 consonant distributions could be used in front, middle, and end positions and 1 vocal distribution could not be used in all positions, and (6) there were 1 diphthong distributions could be used in all positions and 9 diphthong distribution used narrowly. Kata kunci: fonetik, vokal, konsonan, diftong, bahasa Minangkabau

Abstract

ABSTRACT The objectives of this study were to describe (1) the types of masters found, (2) the types of majas that emerged, (3) the slightly emerging type of masters, (4) knowing the types of majas that never appeared, (5) the short story text students of SMAN 2 Payakumbuh class XI. The data in this study is the masters which is contained in the text of the students of the class XI SMAN 2 Payakumbuh. the source of this research data is an official document in the from of the text clusters of students class XI MIPA 3 SMAN 2 Payakumbuh which is collected and archived by Indonesian teachers semester one academic year 2017/2018. Data were collected using documentation study. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that (1) found 13 types of masters used; (2) the emerging masters are hyperbolic masters; (3) the slightly emerging masters are antitheses, litotes, paralipsis, zeugma, metonimia, allusions, and inversions; (4) the types of majas that never arise are allegory, irony, paranomasia, sinekdoke, euphemism, ellipsis, gradation, alliteration, antanaclasis, and kiasmus; and (5)  there are findh seven atmosphere of appearance of majas in the text of short story of student of class XI SMAN 2 Payakumbuh. Kata kunci: teks cerpen, majas, suasana

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article aims to look at the effects of describe the effect of the use of cooperative learning model Think Talk Write (TTW) aided image media against the argument essay writing skills class X SMA Negeri 5 Padang. This research data is the result of the test scores argument essay writing skills of students before and after using cooperative learning model TTW assisted image media. Instruments used in this research that tests the performance. The results showed that: First, the argument essay writing skills of students before using cooperative learning model TTW aided by media images that are in the qualification Fair (C) with an average value of 64.06. Second, the argument essay writing skills of students after using cooperative learning model TTW aided by media images that are in the qualification Good (B) with an average value of 81.08. Third, the use of cooperative learning model Think Talk Write TTW aided image media significantly influence the argument essay writing skills class X SMA Negeri 5 Padang. Kata kunci: pengaruh, model, pembelajaran, kooperratif, Think Talk Write,                        media, gambar, karangan argumentasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was to (1) describe the level of reading comprehension skills of the text exposition of the eight grade students of SMP Negeri Pembangunan Padang (2) to describe the skill level of writing the exposition text of the eight grade students of SMP Negri Pembangunan Padang; and (3) to describe the correlational of reading comprehension skills of the exposition text skill of writing text exposition of student of class VIII of SMP Negeri Pembangunan Padang Padang.Theories used in this research are skill, reading comprehension of exposition text, writing skill of exposition, correlation skill reading comprehension text exposition to skill of writing text exposition of student class VIII SMP Negeri Pembangunan  Padang. This research type is quantitative research by using descriptive method. An escriptive method with correlation approach. The population in this study is the students of class VIII of SMP  Pembangunan Padang registered in the academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 168 students. The sample of this study amounted to 40 students. The sampling of this research was done by propotional random sampling technique. The data of this research is score of skill reading comprehension result in the form of objective test and score of skill writing skill in the form of performance test of class VIII student of  SMP Negeri Pembang

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article is written to know the relationship of reading comprehension skill with the skills of writing expositions of student of class X SMA Negeri 1 Pulau Punjung Kabupaten Dharmasraya. The type of this research is quantitative research. The method used in this research is descriptive method which uses correlational research design. The population is the students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Pulau Punjung Kabupaten Dharmasraya which consist of 191 students who are divided into six classes. The samples of this research are 30 students. This research consists of two variables, which are independent variable (reading comprehension skill of the exposition of the class X SMA Negeri 1 Pulau Punjung Kabupaten Dharmasraya) and dependent variable (writing skill of  expositions students of SMA Negeri 1 Pulau Punjung Kabupaten Dharmasraya). The research’s results show that for the skill of expository writing is required the comprehension skill of reading expository. From the result of the research, it can be concluded that there is significant relation (meaningful) between the reading comprehension skill with the skills of writing expositions of students class  X SMA Negeri 1 Pulau Punjung Kabupaten Dharmasraya on degree of freedom n-1 at significant degree 95 % which the tcount is bigger that ttable, which is 5,652 > 1,70. Kata kunci: membaca pemahaman, menulis teks eksposisi

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kekhususan gaya bahasa dalam cerpen Kabut Negeri si Dali karya A.A. Navis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan retoris dan  kiasan  dalam  kumpulan  cerpen  Kabut  Negeri  si  Dali  karya A.A.  Navis.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Data penelitian ini adalah kata, frasa, klausa, atau kalimat   yang dapat dirumuskan sebagai gaya bahasa retoris dan kiasan. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah kumpulan cerpen Kabut Negeri si Dali karya A.A Navis. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara : (1) membaca dan memahami gaya bahasa retoris dan kiasan dalam kumpulan cerpen Kabut Negeri si Dali karya A.A. Navis, (2) mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasi data yang berhubungan dengan gaya bahasa retoris dan kiasan. Hasil penelitian dalam kumpulan cerpen Kabut Negeri si Dali karya A.A. Navis adalah sebagai berikut ini: (1) Gaya bahasa  retoris  dalam  kumpulan  cerpen  Kabut  Negeri  si  Dali  yaitu,  pleonasme, eufimisme,  erotesis/pertanyaan  retoris,  hiperbola,  klimaks,  antitesis,  dan  paradoks. Gaya bahasa retoris yang dominan dalam kumpulan cerpen tersebut adalah hiperbola. (2) Pendayagunaan gaya bahasa kiasan dalam kumpulan cerpen Kabut Negeri si Dali di antaranya alusio, simile, metafora, personifikasi, sinekdoke, metonimia, sarkasme, ironi, sinisme,  dan  alegori.  Gaya  bahasa  kiasan  yang  dominan  dalam  kumpulan  cerpen tersebut adalah metafora. Retoris dan kiasan dalam cerpen dapat diimplikasikan dalam dunia pendidikan. Dengan mempelajari retoris dan kiasan, pendidik dan peserta didik diharapkan mampu menghargai dan mengindahkan kehadiran bahasa dalam cerpen Indonesia. Semua hal tersebut dapat diterapkan dalam pendidikan formal, baik ditingkat sekolah menengah pertama atau menengah atas. Kata kunci: retoris, kiasan, cerpen, implementasi

Abstract

Theories used in this research are skill, reading comprehension of description text, writing skill of description, correlation skill reading comprehension text description to skill of writing text description of student class VII SMP Negeri 27 Padang.This research type is quantitative research by using descriptive method. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research there are three. First, to mendeskripsi and explain the level of writing skills text about a student of class X of SMAN 3 Bukittinggi before applying the scientific approach based modeling techniques. Second, to mendeskripsi and explain the level of writing skills text about a student of class X of SMAN 3 Bukittinggi after applying the scientific approach based modeling techniques. Third, to analyze the effect the application of the technique of modeling-based scientific approach towards writing skills text about a student of class X of SMAN 3 Bukittinggi. Type of this research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The draft study was One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. The population in this research is the grade X SMAN 3 Bukittinggi listed year lessons 2017/2018 as many as 238 people. The sample in this study as many as 34 students that are defined by using purposive sampling technique. The research of the variable is a text biography writing skills using the technique of modeling-based scientific approach. The results of the research there are three, i.e. as follows. First, the text of the biography writing skills before using engineering modeling based approach to saintifk grade X SMAN 3 Bukittinggi is at more than enough qualifications (LdC) with an average of 66.62. Second, the skills of writing the text of the biographies after using the technique of modeling scientific-based approach students class X SMAN 3 Bukittinggi is at Good qualifications (B) with an average of 78.83. Third, based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H_1) received on the standard of 95% and significant degrees of freedom (dk) = (n_1 n_2 +)-2, ttabel > thitung because IE 9.07 > 1.70. Kata kunci: teknik pemodelan berbasis pendekatan saintifik, teks biografi, SMAN 3 Bukittinggi

Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) to describe the skill of writing a short story class IX students of SMPN I Padang gelugur Pasaman of before and after using the learning method cooperatif Type Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition. (2) describe the effectiveness of teaching methods CIRC against short story writing skills class IX students of SMP Negeri I Padang gelugur Pasaman district. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental methods (quasi experiment). Data of this study was the result of tests short story writing skills of students before and after using cooperative learning methods CIRC (posttest) class IX students of SMP Negeri I Padang gelugur Pasaman district. Based on the results of the study, concluded the following three points. (1) short story writing skills before using cooperative learning methods CIRC class IX students of SMPN I Padang gelugur Pasaman is currently on qualification More than Enough (LDC) with an average value of 63.31. (2) the skill of writing short stories after using cooperative learning methods CIRC class IX students of SMPN I Padang gelugur Pasaman is currently on the qualification Good (B) with an average value of 82.79. (3) based on the t-test results, it was concluded that the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted at level siginifikansi 95% and degrees of freedom (df) = n - 2 for thitung> t table (3.22> 1.70). Keywords:  efektifitas, kooperatif tipe CIRC, menulis cerpen
