Abstract

Nowadays, looking attractive and beautiful has become a daily necessity, especially for the face when attending big events such as graduations, weddings, engagements or other events. A Makeup Artist (MUA) is someone who has a profession as a make-up artist. In Pematang Gajah Jambi there is one make up artist who offers his services, namely Fitriafztmakeup art. However, the ordering process is still done manually, these mua usually offer or promote their services only through social media accounts and by word of mouth. Therefore, a system was developed that can assist the ordering process for customers and provide information on the services provided at Siti Mariatun Makeup. The methods used in this research are observation and interviews. The system development method used is Prototype as the design process. This research produces a system that can order make-up services via the website and can see what services are provided as well as the prices of each make-up service available at Siti Mariatun Makeup to make ordering make-up services easier

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve students’ competencies in the installation and configuration of operating systems through a practice-based approach at Universitas Muhammadiyah Jambi, involving 25 participants. The problem faced by the participants is the low level of practical skills in independently performing operating system installation and configuration, caused by the dominance of theoretical learning and the lack of direct practical experience. Therefore, a learning approach that integrates theoretical and practical aspects in a balanced manner is required. The method used in this activity is hands-on training combined with direct mentoring through the stages of preparation, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. During the implementation stage, participants were provided with basic materials, demonstrations, and direct practice under the guidance of the implementation team. Evaluation was carried out by comparing pre-test and post-test results as well as observing participants’ skills during the activity. The results show a significant improvement in students’ competencies, indicated by the transition from conceptual understanding to the ability to independently perform installation and configuration of operating systems. In addition, participants demonstrated improvement in basic troubleshooting skills, learning engagement, and confidence during practice. This activity produced outputs in the form of improved technical skills relevant to industry needs and the development of independent problem-solving abilities among students. Therefore, practice-based training methods are proven to be effective in improving student competencies in the field of information technology and have the potential to be further developed in advanced training programs.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted at Universitas Muhammadiyah Jambi, involving students from the Information Systems study program as the primary participants. The main problems identified among participants included a limited understanding of the structure of scientific articles, inadequate paraphrasing skills, and a lack of competence in using reference management applications. In addition, the utilization of digital technology to support scientific writing was not yet optimal, despite the availability of adequate technological facilities. This activity aimed to improve students’ competencies in writing scientific articles in accordance with journal standards and to enhance their ability to utilize digital technology as a supporting tool for writing and publication. The method applied was a training-based approach combined with intensive mentoring. The training materials covered the structure of scientific articles, proper academic writing techniques, paraphrasing strategies to avoid plagiarism, the use of reference management tools, and the application of digital technology in scientific writing. The contribution of this activity lies in strengthening students’ practical academic skills while fostering a productive and technology-oriented academic culture. The results indicated a significant improvement in students’ understanding and skills. The average score increased from 54.25 in the pre-test to 79.63 in the post-test, representing a 46.78 percent improvement. Furthermore, most participants were able to independently produce draft scientific articles with a more systematic structure and effectively use reference management tools. The activity also contributed to increased motivation among students to write and publish scientific work.

Abstract

Before an information system is implemented, usability evaluation is essential to ensure that the system is easy to learn, efficient to use, and aligned with user needs. This principle was applied to the prototype of the Bank Sampah Bangkitku Information System, a web-based platform developed to support waste bank operations in Jambi City. This study aimed to evaluate the usability level of the prototype by involving five administrators and five customers. Testing was conducted using Maze to assess learnability, efficiency, and error aspects, while the Single Ease Question (SEQ) questionnaire was employed to measure user satisfaction. The results showed a Maze Usability Score (MAUS) of 98 for administrators and 97 for customers, both falling into the “excellent” category. Most SEQ scores ranged between 6–7, indicating that users considered the system easy to use, efficient, and satisfactory. The evaluation also highlighted design strengths, including intuitive navigation, clear function labeling, and effective visual cues. With high usability scores, the prototype is proven feasible for real-world implementation as a digital solution to enhance waste bank management effectiveness and promote sustainable community participation.

Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah merupakan isu lingkungan yang memerlukan perhatian serius, terutama di wilayah perkotaan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan sistem bank sampah digital berbasis website sebagai solusi inovatif dalam meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan operasional dan transparansi transaksi di Bank Sampah Bangkitku, Kecamatan Kota Baru, Kota Jambi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada Agustus–November 2025 dengan melibatkan 46 peserta yang terdiri dari pengurus, masyarakat, serta tim pengabdian. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan tahapan sosialisasi, pelatihan, implementasi teknologi, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Pengukuran keberhasilan dilakukan melalui perbandingan kondisi sebelum dan sesudah implementasi berdasarkan indikator partisipasi masyarakat, kemampuan penggunaan sistem, serta efisiensi operasional. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat dari 40 menjadi 54 nasabah aktif (meningkat 35%), peningkatan efisiensi pencatatan transaksi dari rata-rata 10 menit menjadi 5 menit (efisiensi 50%), serta peningkatan kemampuan mitra dalam pengelolaan data secara digital. Selain itu, sistem digital juga mendukung promosi produk daur ulang secara daring.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi mendorong pelaku usaha untuk mengadopsi sistem terkomputerisasi dalam mendukung kegiatan operasional, termasuk dalam pengelolaan persediaan barang. Kedai Kopi Kind Comfy Pleasure masih menghadapi kendala dalam pengelolaan persediaan barang karena pencatatan dilakukan secara manual, sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan kesalahan data, keterlambatan informasi stok, serta kurang efektifnya pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun Sistem Informasi Persediaan Barang Berbasis Web pada Kedai Kopi Kind Comfy Pleasure dengan menggunakan metode System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Metode SDLC digunakan sebagai pendekatan pengembangan sistem yang meliputi tahapan analisis, perancangan, implementasi, dan pengujian sistem. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi persediaan barang berbasis web yang dibangun mampu membantu pemilik dan karyawan dalam mengelola data persediaan secara lebih efektif dan efisien. Sistem ini juga dapat menyajikan informasi stok barang secara akurat dan tepat waktu, sehingga mendukung kelancaran operasional serta pengambilan keputusan pada Kedai Kopi Kind Comfy Pleasure.

Abstract

This study aims to design a web-based incoming mail registration system to improve the effectiveness of document archiving at BRI KCP Jelutung. Currently, incoming mail records are managed manually using an agenda book, resulting in slow archive retrieval and increasing the risk of document damage or loss. The research was conducted through observation and user requirements analysis of the incoming mail management process. The result is a web-based system design capable of recording incoming mail data in a complete and structured manner. The system is also equipped with an integrated document scanning feature, allowing physical documents to be digitized and stored automatically in a database without requiring a separate upload process. Scanned documents can be accessed at any time through the system, making archive retrieval and management faster and more efficient. The proposed system is expected to create a more efficient, organized, and transparent mail administration process at BRI KCP Jelutung. Furthermore, the research results can serve as a reference for future system development and implementation within the institution.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to utilize digital media as an effective marketing tool. The Pineapple Agrotourism area in Tangkit Baru Village, Jambi, has significant economic potential through various pineapple-based products; however, conventional marketing practices have limited the reach of product promotion. This study aims to analyze requirements and design a website as a digital marketing medium to improve the visibility and marketing reach of MSMEs in the Pineapple Agrotourism area of Tangkit Baru Village, Jambi. The research method consisted of the requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and review and feedback stages. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The results indicate that the designed website includes key features such as a homepage, agrotourism information, an e-commerce dashboard, a product catalog, a shopping cart, and educational content pages. The proposed website is expected to support MSME digital transformation, enhance the competitiveness of local products, and expand digital-based marketing reach.

Abstract

The increasing tax burden each year poses a significant challenge, particularly for people with limited education and job seekers who struggle to find suitable employment, as most job openings prioritize bachelor's degree holders with work experience, while even graduates often face difficulties since companies typically require prior experience as a primary qualification; as a result, many graduates choose to start their own businesses, which in turn require employees to support their operations. This condition highlights the need for an intelligent solution that connects job seekers—including graduates and those without work experience—with vacancies matching their qualifications. To address this issue, this study designs the Moilme application, which integrates AI-based job matching through Google's Talent Solution API and GPS technology to generate intelligent job recommendations based on job seekers' qualifications while also displaying nearby job locations, with the Black Box method applied to simplify the development process and improve system performance in delivering relevant recommendations. The results show that the designed application successfully provides intelligent job recommendations matching users' qualifications and displays nearby job locations, thereby helping accelerate the job search process for job seekers as well as recruitment for companies and SMEs. The novelty of this research lies in combining AI-based qualification matching with GPS-based location intelligence within a single application, offering smarter and more personalized job suggestions. It is concluded that Moilme has the potential to expand job opportunities for those in need of work while helping companies and SMEs find suitable employees quickly and efficiently.

Abstract

Surat menyurat ialah kegiatan operasional yang dilakukan oleh setiap organisasi atau instansi, seperti dilingkungan Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jambi. Pada saat ini kegiatan surat menyurat pada Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jambi agar berjalan dengan baik, walaupun kegiatan surat menyurat masih dilakukan secara manual yaitu dalam bentuk kertas. Sistem yang akan dikembangkan dengan metode yang diimplementasikan dengan basis data MySQL. Sistem ini mampu melakukan transaksi surat masuk dan surat keluar secara elektronik, serta mampu melakukan pencarian surat. Di saat penelusuran di Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jambi, dilakukanlah kuesioner teradap karyawan Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jambi, serta didapatkan hasil bahwa rata-rata karyawan setuju bahwa aplikasi ini dikembangkan serta diterapkan, demi proses kegiatan surat meyurat, serta membantu menyimpan surat agar mudah ditemukan. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan, bahwa aplikasi ini dapat membantu mempercepat proses surat menyurat serta menyimpan surat dapat dikendalikan dan dapat menyimpan untuk mudah ditemukan. Setelah aplikasi ini dikembangkan, maka aplikasi ini dapat digunakan oleh bagian Teknologi Informasi pada Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jambi untuk sistem surat menyurat secara elktronik dan juga membantu memenuhi struktur birokrasi di Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jambi.
