Abstract

Forests are natural resources that have enormous benefits for the continuity of human life for now and in the future. The community around the forest has a big role in determining the sustainability of the forest because all community activities related to meeting the needs of daily life are very dependent on the existence of the forest. The people's behavior and actions are closely related to the community's perception of the forest. Communities in treating forests are also influenced by their experience and knowledge. Educational Forests or Special Purpose Forest Areas (KHdTK) are areas designated by the government for forestry research and development. University of Muhammadiyah Malang was appointed as the manager of Special Purpose Forest Areas (KHdTK) printed 43A, 44I, 44K-1, 44K-2, and 44L of Kedung Rejo RPH BKPH Pujon KPH Malang where the area is included in the status of production forest area and protected forest. This study aims to determine the perceptions of the surrounding community towards the plan to manage forest areas with specific objectives of UMM in plots 43A, 44I, 44K-1, 44K-2, and 44L, to determine the behavior of surrounding communities towards the plan to manage forest areas with UMM specific objectives in 43A plots, 44I, 44K-1, 44K-2, and 44L. The results of this study indicate that public perceptions of the KHdTK strategic plan by UMM were very well received. There is an inappropriate behavior of the community, namely the farming community in protected forest in 43A, but with prior approval from Perhutani, the behavior in managing the forest always considers the sustainability of the forest and the community always respects the applicable regulations, even though there is behavior that does not comply with the law but the community do that with the approval of Perhutani. The forest is the economic foundation of the surrounding community. In the future, UMM as the manager must be able to work together with the community and restore 43A plots according to their function, namely protected forests and rearranging farmers in KHdTK.

Abstract

Kebakaran merupakan penyebab kerusakan hutan yang paling besar, yang mana dalam waktu singkat dapat menghancurkan kawasan yang cukup luas. Kebakaran hutan ternyata lebih banyak menimbulkan dampak negatif daripada dampak positif terhadap sifat-sifat tanah dan terutama terhadap erosi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui besarnya sedimentasi, dan mengetahui hubungan antara curah hujan dengan sedimentasi yang terjadi pada kawasan bekas kebakaran hutan TAHURA R.Soerjo Blok Ledug. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2018 di Kawasan bekas kebakaran hutan TAHURA R.Soerjo, dengan estimasi ketinggian 1100-1200 mdpl. Terdapat 13 kejadian hujan pada bulan Desember 2018. Curah hujan tertinggi 68,2mm, dan curah hujan terrendah 2,5mm. Nilai muatan sedimen terbesar yaitu 0,94 kg/ha, serta nilai muatan sedimen terkecil yaitu 0,29 kg/ha, dan nilai muatan sedimen rata-ratanya yaitu 0,48 kg/ha rendahnya nilai sedimen yang didapatkan dipengaruhi oleh baiknya kualitas tanah pada lahan tersebut, dan juga dipengaruhi oleh keadaan vegetasi yang rapat dan di dominasi oleh ilalang.

Abstract

The Ledug Block is one of the areas in TAHURA R Soerjo which is experiencing fire. The fire causes the existing land cover to change or decrease, with the reduced land cover, the land will be easily exposed to surface runoff. This study aims to calculate the erosion rate in the TAHURA R Soerjo Ledug Block using the USLE equation, visual presentation of erosion using the Goegraphic Information System (GIS). This research was conducted in December 2018 in the rehabilitation area of Tahura R Soerjo Priug Ledug Block, Pasuruan. The method used is the Geographic Information System (GIS) whose data is sourced from calculations with the USLE method. The results of the study are the rain erosivity index (R) obtained from the month rainfall in 2018. The soil at the study site in each SUL is dusty clay. The vegetation in the research location in each SUL is in the form of bushes and added to SUL 3 there are several trees. The average erosion rate is 0.034 tons / ha / year. Erosion hazard classes that occur at the research location are included in class I (very mild). Enriching the land cover by planting trees with tree stands needs to be done so that the land is tightly closed and better withstand surface runoff.

Abstract

Keberadaan produktifitas tanah semakin hari semakin menurun, hal ini disebabkan oleh laju erosi. Karakteristik lahan yang tidak sesuai peruntukannya juga akan mengakibatkan produktifitas lahan tersebut menjadi menurun. Peningkatan laju erosi dapat membuat sedimentasi pada sungai dan waduk semakin besar. Desa Sumber Brantas termasuk desa yang berada dalam kawasan rawan longsor, kekeringan dan banjir bandang. Alat dan bahan yang digunakan untuk mendukung keberhasilan penelitian ini yaitu alat tulis, cetok, plastik, kertas label, kamera, clinometer, GPS, ArcGIS 9.3, WEPP versi 2012, dan, Microsoft Office. Pengambilan data di lapangan yang diperlukan sebagai data primer adalah data sampel tanah berupa tekstur tanah, kedalaman tanah, albedo, % pasir, % liat tanah, % bahan organik, nilai Kapasitas Tukar Kation, % batuan, dan albedo. Data sekunder berupa data curah hujan, topografi, jenis tanah dan penggunaan lahan. Total nilai laju erosi yang terjadi pada Desa Sumber Brantas Kecamatan Bumiaji adalah sebanyak 657,700 ton/ha. Total nilai erosi tersebut berasal dari 364,715 ton/ha untuk lahan pertanian, sebanyak 8,898 ton/ha untuk lahan wanatani, sebanyak 283,200 ton/ha untuk pemukiman dan lahan hutan sebanyak 0,882 ton/ha. Total nilai erosi tanah yang terjadi di Desa Sumber Brantas Kecamatan Bumiaji adalah 657,700 ton/ha. Nilai erosi tersebut tergolong ke Kelas Bahaya Erosi V yaitu sangat berat.

Abstract

Information on the condition of the springs debit is a decisive aspect in sustainable forest management so that the appropriate method of measuring the flow of a spring shall be known. The formulation of this research problem is the effectiveness of the floating method and the floating method and which method is more effective to be used in the measurement of the spring discharge. How the condition of the existing spring in the rehabilitation area by PT. Gudang Garam TBK Prigen Block Forest Park Raden Soerjo. Methods used in data collection with field observation techniques, documentation, interviews, and questioners based on Antecedent aspects, Implementation aspects and aspects of Outcome. This research was conducted from December 2017 to January 2018 in the rehabilitation area by PT. Gudang Garam TBK Block Prigen Raya Forest Park Raden Soerjo. The results obtained on the aspect of Antecedent in terms of easy procurement tool on the method of catch is quite easy with the scoring interval of 83.33% and floating method is very easy with scoring interval 76.67%. The cost of procurement tool is a very cheap method of catch with scoring interval 85,56% and cheap floating method with scoring interval 73,33%. The result of the measurement of the springs debit on the Implementation aspect is the method of the catch has a working performance of 4.85 springs/hour and the floating method has a working performance of 4.65 springs/hour. The data processing of springs debit using the method of the catch has a working performance of 62.57 springs/hour data and floating method has a working performance of 48.59 springs/hour data. The result on the outcome aspect of the difference of the measurement result of the debit method of catch is slightly having the interval score of 77.78% and the floating method has an interval score of 68.89%. Around the study site, there are six springs namely the water of Kubisan 1, Kubisan 2, Alap-Alap, Grojokan Pring 1, Grojokan Pring 2 and Jeding Pendem. The measurement of the discharge of spring water using the catch method is generally more effective than the floating method so that the use of the catchment method in the measurement of the spring discharge is preferred. The condition of the springs based on observations has a good physical condition.

Abstract

Physical Characteristics and Durability of Cemara Gunung Wood (Casuarina junghuniana) in the Mt. Bromo Probolinggo. The purpose of this study is to find out the physical characteristics of Cemara Gunung wood and to know the durability of Cemara Gunung wood toward termite. The using methods knew the water content, density, and the development of wood thickness. Meanwhile, the selecting of wood durability test without the picking of using soil termites (Macrotermes gilvus) against the three wood samples by using (SNI) 01-7207-2014 regarding the durability of wood test towards wood-destroying organisms. The deriving results showed that the moisture content of the sapwood portion was more significant than the heartwood, based upon the highest density test on the heartwood, which was 1.24 g/cm3, the density of sapwood I and sapwood II was almost equal to 0.81-0, 82g/cm3. The higher the density value, the stronger the wood. The full development is directly proportional to density, the total development value of the two treatments is not too high due to hard Cemara Gunung wood. Based on the termite test showed the average weight reduction in the wood core test sample <3.52% (very resistant) class I. For testing sapwood, I and sapwood II (preservative) were not much different because it was included in the privileged class (3, 52-7,50) (class II). From the three trials of termite in bottles, the 15-day test (the bottle I) was the most effective followed by bottle II and bottle III.

Abstract

Sengon plant (Paraserianthes falcataria (L) Nielsen) in Indonesia is one of the types of plants developed in the development of Community Forestry especially in Wagir District, Malang Regency. This study was conducted to analyze the effect of environmental conditions, especially temperature and humidity on stomata density and chlorophyll levels in the plant Sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria (L) Nielsen) and analyze the soil nutrient content under the Sengon stand (Paraserianthes falcataria (L) Nielsen) on plant physiology in Sukodadi Village, Wagir District, Malang Regency. The techniques used are field surveys, leaf sampling to measure physiological properties (stomata density and chlorophyll content), and soil sampling to measure soil chemical properties (macro nutrient content), as well as direct observations in the field to measure environmental factors (temperature and humidity). Analysis of the data used is multiple linear regression in SPSS to determine whether there is influence of temperature and humidity on the physiology of stomata and chlorophyll as well as descriptive analysis on soil factors. Research result is that temperature and humadity have an effect on chlorophyll. This support to possibility of temperature and humadity system in the region so that agreed crops will affect the concentration of chlorine.

Abstract

UPSA (The Natural Resources Conservation Effort is one of BPDAS Brantas Sampean’s RHL (Forest and Land Rehabilitation) progams which are carried out in 3 places namely Pujon Hill, UB Forest and Wajak, Malang Regency. Collaboration between stakeholder is the main key to the succes of policy produts and their sustainability. Discourse is present as a tool that is able to provide an explanation of sosial conditions. Aim of this research is how the perspectiveof stakeholder influences the follow-up action pf the progam.  Data collection uses observation, interviews document analysis related to UPSA. Discourses analysis begins with the result of interviews that have been recorded and then transcribed into writing and data analysis by the Nvivo12 software. The result of the data re then explained descriptively. Our findings show that the perspective of each stakeholder towards the UPSA Progam Influences land management. The Occurrence of domination of power, a sense of ownership and openness among stakeholders has the potential to create new conflicts. Keywords : Social Discourse, Stakeholder, UPSA

Abstract

This study analyzes the roles and positions of stakeholders in decision-making processes within the National Forestry Council (Dewan Kehutanan Nasional, DKN), a forest-related multistakeholder platform in Indonesia. It considers stakeholders’ power, legitimacy, and urgency. The research employed a qualitative case study, centered around in-depth interviews with 27 key informants with diverse backgrounds involved in the DKN. The study found that despite being designed to facilitate democratic and inclusive decision-making, the engagement of stakeholders in the DKN is heavily dominated by powerful government actors. Several stakeholder groups, such as NGOs and academics, may actively participate in decision-making processes, but they do not meaningfully influence and capacity to determine the organizational policy directions. This is related to an imbalance in the distribution of power among stakeholders in DKN. Even though this organization promotes the principle of inclusivity, the reality is that the presence and influence of the government are still the dominant factors in determining policy directions. This study confirms the importance of the stakeholder salience analysis approach in the context of multistakeholder initiative organizations such as the DKN, which allows recognition of power dynamics and domination among stakeholders within the DKN so that decisions made truly reflect the common interests of all parties involved.
