Abstract

The development of the web-based Public Service Mall (MPP) application aims to enhance the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of public services in Pringsewu Regency. Utilizing the Extreme Programming (XP) methodology, which focuses on iterative and collaborative software development, the application follows five main phases: planning, design, coding, testing, and release. Key features of the application include a service search function, a booking code-based queue system, service history tracking, and a user dashboard for seamless interaction. The implementation results demonstrate that the application significantly simplifies access to various public services, reduces physical queues, and improves transparency throughout the service process. System testing confirms that the application operates according to specifications, with a user satisfaction rate of 87% and a notable improvement in service response times. Therefore, this application serves as an effective digital solution that supports the transformation of modern public services, making them more responsive and accessible to the community's needs.

Abstract

Discrete mathematics learning is an important part of higher education, especially in the context of computer science and information technology. Several studies have shown that many students face difficulties in solving complex mathematical problems, which constitute a significant challenge in the learning process. Therefore, it is important to apply a comprehensive learning approach and pay attention to student needs, because this can help overcome weaknesses related to understanding discrete mathematics and improve interest or motivation. The results of this research highlight the potential of the Discovery Learning model as an effective approach in improving discrete mathematics learning. The practical implication of this research is that integrating the Discovery Learning model in discrete mathematics learning design can increase student engagement and their academic achievement. Thus, future studies could further explore the long-term impact of implementing this model or compare it with the use of other learning approaches.

Abstract

In the era of rapidly developing technology, innovation is important to facilitate human life. Water is the main need for all living things, especially humans, so it needs to be managed efficiently. Water filling in reservoirs is usually still done manually, which can cause a waste of clean water. Manual water filling requires humans to control the pump as needed. However, it often happens to forget to turn off the pump after the reservoir is full, which can cause a waste of water and electrical energy. To solve this problem, the idea is to make an automatic system with Arduino ESP 8266 called "Design of Automatic Water Filling System on Arduino ESP 8266 Based Water Reservoir". This system uses ultrasonic sensors to measure the water level in the reservoir. When the water reaches a certain level, the system will activate the water filling, and the user can monitor the water level in real time through a mobile device. This research aims to design and test this automatic water replenishment system to avoid water waste. The result is expected to be an efficient solution better than the manual system and beneficial in clean water management. This research will answer important questions about this system's design, workings, and test results. The main conclusion of this research is the need for improvements in the design and implementation of automatic water filling systems. Further analysis, adjustments, and retesting are needed to overcome the obstacles encountered.

Abstract

Busy Book merupakan salah satu jenis mainan edukatif yang terdiri dari berbagai aktivitas dan permainan yang dirancang untuk merangsang perkembangan kognitif dan motorik anak-anak usia dini. Dalam kegiatan pelatihan busy book, pemateri mempunyai kesempatan untuk mengajarkan teknik-teknik pembuatan busy book kepada guru PAUD Aisyah. Pembuatan busy book melibatkan berbagai bahan seperti kain, kertas, kancing, resleting, dan aplikasi-aplikasi pendukung lainnya. Tim pengabdi memberikan panduan langkah- langkah kepada peserta pelatihan, mulai dari perencanaan desain hingga proses pemotongan dan penjahitan. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam menciptakan mainan edukatif yang bermanfaat bagi perkembangan anak-anak. Selain itu, guru yang mengikuti pelatihan juga akan mendapatkan manfaat signifikan, seperti kreatifitas dalam membuat media pembelajaran dan kemampuan untuk menstimulus keterampilan motoric anak. Kegiatan pelatihan PKM busy book ini dapat mencakup analisis tingkat keberhasilan dan kepuasan peserta, serta dampak positif yang dihasilkan dalam perkembangan anak-anak. Kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan busy book merupakan salah satu contoh nyata bagaimana kreativitas dan inovasi dapat memberikan kontribusi yang berarti dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Abstract

To help the School achieve SNP, enterprise architecture modeling brings its business strategy and technology together. The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) can be used as the framework to organize the structures and objects related to the organization in architectural modeling. A method, such as the Architecture Development Method (ADM), is also used to determine the Enterprise Architecture in detail.The goal of information system architectural design analysis is to get a clear image of the information system and better communicate to users how it will operate. In this study, a generic architectural model design connected to the organization's vision and goal was generated using the TOGAF technique as a tool for building and designing enterprise architecture. The study's findings point to a connection between various types of architecture, starting with business architecture, application architecture, and information system architecture, which can create a framework for constructing and developing integrated information systems in schools that can be used as a guide by all organizational units. The outcomes of combining the three primary activities' information system planning and application efforts will be used as tools to support the school's vision, purpose, and goals.

Abstract

The use of digital technology has become an integral part of everyday life, including in the fields of security and law enforcement such as in the Pringsewu Police Resort. However, challenges in adopting and utilizing digital communication skills are still faced by many members of the Pringsewu Police Resort. Therefore, this community service aims to enhance the digital communication skills of Pringsewu Police Resort members through a series of training sessions. The methods used in this service include observation/interview methods, lecture methods, training methods, and the use of relevant digital resources. The results of this community service are highly effective in providing value in terms of knowledge, understanding, and application of digital communication skills by Pringsewu Police Resort members. They become more proficient in using various platforms and digital tools to communicate effectively, both internally and externally. Furthermore, active participation of members in the training demonstrates a high level of concern and enthusiasm for self-improvement and service to the community. By enhancing the digital communication skills of Pringsewu Police Resort members, it will directly contribute to the positive impact on the effectiveness and efficiency of law enforcement tasks and service to the community. The next step is to maintain continuity and expand the scope of the program to ensure sustainability and maximize the benefits obtained.

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan digital di Indonesia telah mendorong pertumbuhan eksponensial sektor e-commerce. Namun, sistem pembayaran dominan yang terpusat—seperti transfer bank dan dompet digital—masih menghadapi tantangan fundamental terkait keamanan data, biaya transaksi yang tinggi akibat perantara, dan minimnya transparansi. Sebagai solusinya, teknologi blockchain hadir menawarkan revolusi melalui prinsip desentralisasi, transparansi, dan imutabilitas. Penelitian ini menganalisis potensi implementasi blockchain untuk memperkuat keamanan, efisiensi, dan inklusi keuangan di ekosistem transaksi online Indonesia. Melalui studi literatur, ditemukan bahwa keunggulan esensial blockchain terletak pada kemampuannya memfasilitasi transaksi peer-to-peer. Hal ini secara drastis menekan ketergantungan pada perantara, meminimalkan biaya, serta mengakselerasi penyelesaian transaksi, terutama yang bersifat lintas negara. Walaupun demikian, adopsi blockchain di Indonesia dihadapkan pada tantangan multidimensional. Permasalahan teknis seperti skalabilitas ("Trilema Blockchain") dan interoperabilitas menjadi rintangan utama. Selain itu, kerangka regulasi yang masih terus berevolusi menjadi hambatan. Analisis terhadap regulasi yang ada, termasuk transisi pengawasan aset keuangan digital dari Bappebti ke OJK dan Bank Indonesia (sesuai UU P2SK) serta inisiatif Rupiah Digital, menunjukkan upaya pemerintah untuk menata ekosistem, sekaligus menyoroti kompleksitas yang menyertainya. Kesimpulannya, potensi transformatif teknologi blockchain bagi lanskap pembayaran online di Indonesia sangatlah besar. Namun, untuk mewujudkan potensi tersebut, diperlukan kolaborasi strategis antar pemangku kepentingan guna menanggulangi hambatan teknis, merancang kerangka regulasi yang adaptif, serta meningkatkan literasi digital di tengah Masyarakat.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has intensified the need for information technology skills among students, particularly in mobile application development. A training program held at SMK Negeri 1 Bandung in May 2024 served as a concrete initiative to bridge the gap between industry demands and student competencies. This study aims to describe the training process, instructional methods, and its impact on participants. A descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design was applied. Data were collected through direct observation during the training, interviews with 20 students, and documentation of final projects. The training covered material on Android Studio, Kotlin programming, UI/UX design, and Firebase integration. Findings revealed that the use of learning by doing and project-based learning methods effectively enhanced students’ technical skills and creativity. Participants successfully developed prototype applications such as local product catalogs, food ordering systems, and school task managers. Additionally, the training increased students' interest in pursuing careers in information technology. Strong institutional support and experienced facilitators were key success factors. In conclusion, mobile application development training positively contributes to strengthening students’ digital competencies. It is recommended that similar programs be conducted regularly, with expanded collaboration between schools and local tech industries to ensure the applicability and market relevance of training outcomes.

Abstract

The integration of solar powered IoT irrigation systems in precision agriculture offers a sustainable solution to address water scarcity and enhance crop productivity. By leveraging real time data from soil sensors, weather APIs, and machine learning algorithms, these systems optimize irrigation schedules and improve water use efficiency. This research explores the potential of integrating renewable energy sources, such as solar power, with edge computing in smart irrigation systems to promote sustainable agricultural practices. The study aims to evaluate the performance of the proposed system in terms of water savings, crop yield, energy efficiency, and adaptability to varying climate conditions. Literature Review: Previous studies highlight the importance of smart irrigation systems in reducing water waste and improving crop yield through real time monitoring and automated decision making. However, existing systems often lack the integration of renewable energy and edge computing, which are critical for ensuring sustainability and operational efficiency in rural agricultural settings. The combination of renewable energy with IoT devices offers a promising solution to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions, while edge computing enhances real time data processing, ensuring prompt and accurate irrigation adjustments. Materials and Method: The proposed system integrates solar powered IoT devices, soil moisture sensors, weather data APIs, and edge computing devices to manage irrigation. Machine learning algorithms and evapotranspiration models are used to predict irrigation needs and optimize scheduling based on real time data. The system's performance is evaluated through metrics such as water savings percentage, crop yield improvements, and energy consumption, with a comparative analysis against traditional irrigation methods. Results and Discussion: The results indicate that the system successfully reduces water usage by 30% to 40%, increases crop yield by 25%, and operates with energy autonomy, powered entirely by solar energy. The system's adaptability to varying climate conditions ensures optimal crop growth, even under environmental stresses. The integration of renewable energy and edge computing significantly enhances the sustainability and efficiency of irrigation systems.

Abstract

Monkeypox is a zoonotic viral disease with increasing global concern due to its rapid spread and potential public health impact. Accurate and timely detection is crucial, yet the development of machine learning-based detection systems is often challenged by class imbalance in clinical datasets, leading to biased predictions towards majority classes. This study systematically evaluates the effectiveness of various class imbalance handling techniques, including SMOTE, Borderline-SMOTE, SMOTE-ENN, and SMOTE-Tomek, on the performance of ensemble learning algorithms, specifically Random Forest and Gradient Boosting, for monkeypox detection. Using a dataset of 25,000 synthetic patient records with 11 clinical features, models were trained and validated through stratified 5-fold cross-validation. Performance metrics including accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and Area Under the Curve (AUC), along with ROC analysis, were employed to assess the impact of each augmentation method. Results indicate that hybrid methods, particularly SMOTE-ENN, significantly improve recall and F1-score, improving the detection of clinically important monkeypox-positive cases while maintaining adequate discriminative ability. Standard SMOTE and SMOTE-Tomek provide stable performance across metrics, whereas Borderline-SMOTE shows lower recall despite high precision. These findings highlight the importance of selecting appropriate class imbalance handling strategies tailored to the clinical objective, emphasizing sensitivity in detecting positive monkeypox cases. The study provides practical guidance for implementing reliable and robust machine learning models in early monkeypox detection, contributing to improved clinical decision-making and public health interventions.
