Abstract

One effort to improve the implementation of student-centered learning is through inquiry learning models. This study aims to describe the application of a guided inquiry learning model assisted by the SEQIP Kit in improving student learning outcomes in science subjects in the sixth grade of SD Inpres Bumi Bahari. The research method used classroom action, which consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research was conducted at the SD InpresBumi Bahari. The research subjects were 28 students. The data collection technique uses observation and tests. Data analysis was carried out by analyzing data qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that there was an increase in teacher activity and student activities. Teacher activities in the first cycle were 61% enough, and cycle II increased to 81% in the excellent category. Student activities in the first cycle were 58% enough, increasing in the second cycle to 79% in the good category. Data on student learning outcomes with classical absorption (DSK) cycle I was 63.5% and classical learning completeness (CBC) was 60.5%. These results increased in the second cycle where DSK became 87.5% and KBK 87%. Based on these results, it was concluded that the application of a guided inquiry learning model assisted by the SEQIP Kit could improve science learning outcomes in the sixth grade of SD Inpres Bumi Bahari.

Abstract

This study aims to map the knowledge of biology teachers about the use of the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) learning framework in public high schools in Palu city. The intention of this study was that the steps and policies can be formulated regarding the use of the TPACK learning framework. By doing so, teachers can present interesting learning for students thus they are motivated to take part in learning biology which in turn can improve their learning outcomes. TPACK is a learning framework that combines technology, pedagogy and learning material content. The research method used descriptive exploratory. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The data were collected using questionnaire distribution that was given to high school biology teachers across 10 public high schools in Palu city with the total of 21 respondents. The data analysis used descriptive percentage. The results showed that the knowledge of biology teachers at SMA Negeri Palu was 54.3% in the criteria of “knowing enough” about the implementation of the TPACK learning framework.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pembelajaran saat ini mengharuskan pembelajaran daring/online serta melaksanakan social distancing dengan adanya wabah Covid-19. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan wawasan dan kemampuan calon mahasiswa PLP Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi dalam penggunaan aplikasi Google Classroom untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran online Era Pandemi Covid-19. Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan yang dilakukan memanfaatkan aplikasi Google Classroom. Materi yang diberikan pada kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan ini mulai dari pengenalan aplikasi dan software, membuat langkah-langkah pembelajaran, penyajian materi, membuat daftar hadir, serta evaluasi. Pelatihan ini dilakukan dalam dua tahap. Tahap pertama adalah sosialisasi dan pengenalan aplikasi software dan tahap kedua adalah simulasi penggunaan aplikasi dalam mengelola pembelajaran dan dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan ini adalah meningkatnya wawasan, kemampuan calon mahasiswa PLP dalam menggunakan aplikasi Google Classroom baik pada android maupun menggunakan laptop serta menerapkannya pada proses pembelajaran di sekolah, baik dalam masa pandemi Covid-19 maupun situasi normal.

Abstract

Root and soil interactions will alter the biochemical status of the rhizosphere, the acquisition of nutrients and impacted to plant growth. The biochemical of the rhizosphere is strongly influenced by the agriculture input e.g. fertilizer, herbicides and farm management system. Application of fertilizers, their effects are robust and difficult tobe quantified. The effect of fertilizer on the biochemical status rhizosphere and plant growth is different depending on the type of fertilizers, growth media, plant species, and also the environment condition, while the effect on plants will be specific to each plant. This research investigated on the effect of N inorganic fertilizer inputs from two sources namely Urea (CO(NH2)2) and Ammonium Sulfate or ZA ((NH4)2.SO4), and different fertilization method (homogenous and localized). Experiments showed application of N-Urea and N-ZA fertilizers reduced the rhizosphere pH until 1,4 point. However, acidity of the rhizosphere reduced microorganism colonies and respiration rate.

Abstract

Faktor utama dalam keberhasilan pembelajaran sains yaitu dituntut untuk memiliki pengetahuan dan kemampuan profesional dalam memilih dan menggunakan metode serta model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa dalam menyampaikan materi dengan baik, sehingga tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran saintifik berbasis metode eksperimen untuk meningkatkan kualitas belajar sains pada materi energy bunyi di kelas IV SD Inpres Perumnas. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas desain Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Penelitian dilakukan di SD Inpres Perumnas, dari bulan Januari sampai Maret 2019. Subjek penelitian yaitu 25 siswa, yang terdiri dari 10 siswa laki-laki dan 15 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan tes. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menganalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktivitas guru dan siswa. Aktivitas siswa pada siklus pertama yaitu 70,45% atau cukup, dan meningkat pada siklus kedua menjadi 89,77% atau sangat baik. Aktivitas guru pada siklus pertama yaitu 70,83% atau baik, dan meningkat menjadi 91,67% atau sangat baik. Daya Serap Klasikal (DSK) siklus I yaitu 57,5% dan pada siklus kedua menjadi 77,5%. Ketuntasan Belajar Klasikal (KBK) dari siklus pertama sebesar 66% meningkat pada siklus kedua menjadi 86%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan ilmiah berdasarkan metode eksperimen dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran sains di kelas IV SD Inpres Perumnas.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the effect of tofu waste as liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and production of tomato plants (Lycopersicum esculentum) and its use as a learning media in the form of posters. This research was conducted at the Green House Biology FKIP UNTAD from November 2020 to February 2021. The method used was an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) one factorial experiment consisting of 4 levels of treatment (P0 = control, P1 = 200 ml, P2 = 400 ml, P3 = 600 ml) and 3 replications. Parameters observed in this study were plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, number of fruits, and stem diameter at 15 DAP, 30 DAP, 45 DAP, and 60 DAP. The calculated parameters were the number of fruit and fruit weight at 60 DAP. The results of this study showed that the best growth and production was P1 treatment with a dose of 200 ml of liquid organic fertilizer tofu waste. This can be seen in the analysis of variance for each parameter, namely plant height with Fhit 4.90 > Ftab 4.07, number of branches Fhit 8.14 > Ftab 4.07, number of leaves Fhit 7.13 > Ftab 4.07, stem diameter Fhit 12.92 > Ftab 4.07, number of fruit values Fhit 11.83 > Ftab 4.07, and the weight of the fruit is Fhit 11.36 > Ftab 4.07, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that liquid organic fertilizer from tofu waste can affect the growth and production of tomato plants with the best dose of 200 ml at 60 DAP. Based on the validation test and has been tested on students, the overall results of the study are very feasible to be used as learning media with an average percentage of 81.84%.

Abstract

Pengisian Beban Kerja Dosen (BKD) melalui aplikasi SISTER diberlakuan oleh Kemenristekdikti dan menjadi kewajiban setiap dosen. Minimnya  wawasan, pengetahuan, dan kemampuan dosen dalam mengisi BKD berbasis SISTER secara mandiri Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan wawasan, pengetahuan, dan kemampuan dosen dalam mengisi dan mengupdate data serta melaporkan BKD berbasis SISTER secara mandiri. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian meliputi persiapan dan sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan, evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Materi yang diberikan pada kegiatan kegiatan ini adalah pengenalan aplikasi, mengoperasikan aplikasi, mengisi dan mengupdate data serta mengisi BKD menggunakan apalikasi SISTER. Berdasarkan pelaksanaan pengabdian ini diperoleh hasil adalah meningkatnya wawasan, pengetahuan dan kemampuan dosen dalam mengisi dan mengupdate data BKD melalui aplikasi SISTER secara mandiri.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the improvement of the ability of Biology Subject Teachers' Deliberation teachers through training in the technique of examining answer sheets on android-based multiple choice questions. The research subjects were 16 people. The method used is descriptive research. Data were analyzed descriptively. The activity was carried out by presenting the material, then installing the application program, the practice of using smartphones and their applications on the student answer sheets being tested, reading and interpreting the analysis results from the examination of the application program, reporting the examination results and sending the examination results from the application program. This activity is planned to be carried out programmatically with a training model that integrates theory and practice. The results of the research on increasing the ability of Biology Subject Teachers' Deliberations through training in the technique of examining answer sheets on android-based multiple choice questions in the criteria of being able to be 63% based on the aspects measured.

Abstract

Fenomena yang terjadi adalah dosen masih sulit dalam mengaplikasikan, mengisi serta menghasilkan data yang akurat dan berkualitas dalam pelaporan BKD. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan dosen P. MIPA FKIP Universitas Tadulako dalam mengisi dan memenuhi BKD sesuai kewajiban khusus dengan data yang akurat dan berkualitas. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, maka sangat perlu dilakukan pendekatan berupa pelatihan dan pendampingan bagi dosen dengan judul Optimalisasi Pengisian BKD Berbasis Aplikasi SISTER Melalui Pelatihan dan Pendampingan. Materi yang diberikan pada kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan ini mulai dari mengoperasikan aplikasi, mengisi dokumen tertentu sesuai item dan kredit nilai, serta evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan Optimalisasi Pengisian BKD Berbasis Aplikasi SISTER Melalui Pelatihan dan Pendampingan Bagi Dosen muda P.MIPA FKIP Universitas Tadulako adalah meningkatnya wawasan, pengetahuan dan kemampuan dosen muda dalam mengisi dan melaporkan data akurat pada Beban Kinerja Dosen (BKD) dengan menggunakan aplikasi SISTER. Perolehan hasil persentase angket Google form bahwa lebih dari 75,0% peserta mampu dan 25,0 %  kurang mampu dan menyatakan sangat menbutuhkan pendampingan lebih intensif.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe and to analyze effect the profesional ity and work motivation with performance of elementary school teachers in Palu Timur. The research is quantitative research used survey method on distributed 571 teachers in Palu Timur. The sample teachers were 142 persons. The research data were collected by using a questionnaire and analyzed by SPSS 14.0 version and MS Excel. Based on the analyses: (1) there is a significant effect between profesional ity and performance; (2) there is a significant effect between work motivation and performance; and (3) there is a significant effect between profesional ity and work motivation together with work performance of the elementary school teachers at Palu Timur.
