Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memastikan preferensi belajar siswa sains SMPN 1 Pasangkayu serta bagaimana preferensi ini mempengaruhi hasil belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kuantitatif. 527 siswa di SMPN 1 Pasangkayu menjadi populasi penelitian. Prosedur pengambilan sampel acak digunakan. Kuesioner tentang nilai dan gaya belajar siswa berfungsi sebagai alat penelitian. Kuesioner menjalani uji reliabilitas dan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji ANOVA sebelum digunakan. Menurut temuan, 51 siswa (38,6%) 53 siswa (40,2%), dan 28 siswa (21,2%) memiliki gaya belajar visual, audio, dan kinestetik secara berurutan. Gaya belajar tidak mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa dalam topik sains secara signifikan, menurut hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji ANOVA (nilai signifikansi 0,638 > 0,05, dan H0 diterima)

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' problem-solving skills through the application of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) at SMA Negeri 5 Model Palu. This study is a classroom action research (CAR) with two cycles, each consisting of two meetings, conducted in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The research subjects were 28 students from class X M6 at SMA Negeri 5 Palu, consisting of 10 male and 18 female students. The research instruments used were student problem-solving ability tests and observation sheets of teacher and student activities. The learning tools used consisted of teaching modules using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model and student worksheets (LKPD). The data were analyzed based on the results of observations of teacher and student activities and problem-solving ability tests. The results showed that applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model could improve students' problem-solving abilities, with an average score of 73.04 with a percentage of 71% (incomplete) in cycle I to 87.50 with a percentage of 96% (complete) in cycle II. Applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model also increased teacher teaching activities and student learning activities. Thus, the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model can improve the problem-solving skills of grade X M6 students at SMA Negeri 5 Palu.

Abstract

This study aims to identify rice field weeds in Salumpaga Village, North Tolitoli District. Rice field weeds are wild plants that grow in rice fields and are undesirable to farmers because they inhibit the growth of rice plants. The method used was descriptive with purposive sampling techniques. The weeds identified were those that already had complete organs such as roots, stems, and leaves. The results of the study identified 25 types of weeds, namely, the Asteraceae family (Synedrella nodiflora (L.), Erigeron sumatrensis (Retz.), Ageratum conyzoides (L.), Tridax procumbens (L.), Sphogneticola trilobata (L.), Chromolaena odorata (L.) King & H.Rob, Mikania scandens (L.) and Mikania mikrantha (Kunth.)). Fabaceae family (Mimosa pudica (L.) and Crotalaria pallida (Var.)). Euphorbiaceae family (Euphorbia hirta (L.) and Macaranga peltata (Roxb.)). Cyperaceae family (Kyllinga brevifolia (Rottb.) Hassk. and Cyperus compressus (L.)). Lamiaceae family (Hyptis brevipes (Poit.) and Gmelina arborea (Roxb.)). Convolvulaceae family (Ipomoea aquatica (Forssk.) and Ipomoea triloba (L.)). Poaceae family (Hymenachne amplexicaulis (Rudge.)). Oxalidaceae family (Oxalis stricta (L.)). Rubiaceae family (Oldenlandia corymbosa (L.)). Onocleaceae family (Matteuccia sturthiopteris (L.) Tod). Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of video-based learning media on student learning outcomes in Biology class X at SMA Negeri 5 Palu. The background of this study is based on the low student learning outcomes caused by the use of learning media that are still predominantly conventional, such as lectures and textbooks. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of 66 students, divided into an experimental class (X M1, 33 students) with video-based learning treatment, and a control class (X M2, 33 students) with conventional methods. The research instruments included a questionnaire to determine student responses and learning outcome  tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. Data analysis was carried out through validity tests, reliability tests, swimmer tests, and non-parametric tests (Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann-Whitney U Test) with the help of SPSS. The results showed that both the experimental and control groups experienced an increase in learning outcomes from pre-test to post-test, but the experimental group obtained a higher average score with a significant difference (p < 0.001). The questionnaire reliability test produced a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.826 which is included in the very reliable category. The Mann-Whitney test showed a mean rank of the experimental group of 50.00, higher than the control of 17.00. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of video-based learning media has a significant effect and is more effective than conventional methods in improving students' understanding of Virus material in Biology subjects.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in Biology subjects through the use of animated video media in improving science learning outcomes of grade IX A students at SMP Negeri 1 Balaesang. The method used is this research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) design with four stages, namely planning, implementation, teacher observation, and student observation. The research subjects amounted to 28 students. The data collection instruments in this study used teacher observation sheets, student observation sheets, and posttests. The research will be conducted in July 2025. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the use of animated video media in science subjects has proven to significantly improve student learning outcomes. This is aimed at the results of data analysis that has been carried out in the implementation of the Iyang cycle, showing that the level of student learning outcomes of learning completeness reached 67%, while in cycle II it increased to 100%. In addition, students' responses to learning using animation media were very positive. Thus, it can be concluded that animated video media is effective in helping to understand science material and increasing student involvement in the learning process.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan tanaman mentimun berkisar pada umur 34–46 hst dan dipanen saat mentimun telah memenuhi syarat panen. Pertumbuhan tanaman ini membutuhkan dukungan lahan tanah yang subur sehingga berdampak pada hasil tanam yang maksimal. Pupuk organik cair cangkang telur ayam merupakan salah satu pupuk organik yang kaya akan unsur hara dan berpotensi memenuhi kebutuhan hara tanah untuk pertumbuhan tanaman mentimun. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik cair dari cangkang telur ayam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman mentimun, serta menentukan konsentrasi terbaik yang memberikan pertumbuhan maksimal dan hasil mentimun yang terbaik serta menghasilkan media pembelajaran dalam bentuk e-modul flipbook. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 5 taraf perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan, dilakukan dipekarangan rumah jalan Ahmad yani pada bulan desember sampai bulan september. Data dikumpulkan dari pengamatan pertumbuhan tanaman yaitu tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah cabang produktif, jumlah daun dan lebar daun, serta hasil tanaman yaitu panjang buah, diameter buah, jumlah buah pertanaman, dan berat buah pertanaman. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji ANOVA dengan bantuan program SPSS-26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik cair dari cangkang telur ayam pada 7 hst, 14 hst, 21 hst, dan 28 hst tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, dan jumlah daun, sedangkan untuk jumlah cabang produktif dan lebar daun berpengaruh signifikan. Untuk komponen hasil tanaman mentimun pada 42 hst tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap panjang buah, diameter buah, dan berat buah pertanaman, sedangkan pada jumlah buah pertanaman memberikan pengaruh signifikan. Pertumbuhan terbaik dan hasil maksimal ditunjukkan pada 28 hst dan 42 hst pada konsentrasi 60 ml POC dan 80 ml POC. Hasil penelitian ini diaplikasikan dalam bentuk media pembelajaran berupa e-modul flipbook dan dinyatakan sangat layak dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran oleh ahli desain, ahli media, ahli isi dan kelompok mahasiswa dengan persentase rata-rata 84%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the diversity of seagrass species found on the coast of Malanggo Pesisir Village, South Tinombo District, Parigi Moutong Regency. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with a linear quadratic transect technique conducted at three observation stations. Each station was observed to determine the type and number of seagrass individuals found. The data obtained were then analyzed using the Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H’) to determine the level of seagrass species diversity at the study site. The results showed that there were five seagrass species found, namely Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Halodule pinifolia, Halodule uninervis, and Cymodocea rotundata. The total number of seagrass individuals obtained was 8,548 with a diversity index value (H’) of 1.518 which is classified as moderate. This value indicates that the seagrass ecosystem in the waters of Malanggo Pesisir Village is in a relatively stable condition and is able to support the existence of several seagrass species. However, human activities around the coastal area have the potential to put pressure on the balance of the seagrass ecosystem. Therefore, efforts are needed to manage and preserve seagrass ecosystems sustainably so that their ecological function is maintained.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the observed morphological characteristics consisting of mangrove types or species, soil substrates, roots (root types, root modifications and root colors), stems (stem color, stem texture and diameter), leaves (leaf shape, leaf texture, leaf tips, leaf color and leaf length), fruits (fruit types and fruit shapes), flowers (colors and shapes) of true mangrove species in the Karosondaya tourist area of Sausu Tambu Village. This type of research is a descriptive type of research conducted by determining the research location by purposive sampling which is divided into 3 observation stations. Sampling was carried out by exploring and free collection. The results of the study showed that there were 11 mangrove species identified in the Karosondaya tourist area of Sausu Tambu village. The types of mangrove plants found consisted of Rhizophora apiculata (Blume), Rhizophora stylosa (Griffith), Ceriops decandra (Griff), Ceriops tagal (Perr) C.B. Rob, Ceriops zippeliana (Blume), Bruguiera gimnorhiza (L). Lam, Xylocarpus granatum (J. Keonig), Sonneratia alba (J.E.Smith), Sonneratia ovate (Backer), Avicennia germinans (L), Lumitzera rasemosa (Willd). With the dominant species being Rhizophora apiculata (Blume), Rhizophora stylosa (Griffith), Avicennia germinans (L), while the rare or rarely found species were Lumnitzera racemosa (Willd) and Ceriops tagal (Perr.) C.B. Rob.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the influence of parental income on students' learning motivation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this study consisted of 30 students in grade VII. The results showed that the majority of students came from families with low incomes, and this had an impact on students' low learning motivation. The level of parental income influenced the learning motivation of students in the subject of science (Biology) in grade VII at SMP Negeri 20 Sigi. The researcher found several students whose parents had low incomes so that it influenced the students' learning motivation, from the 30 samples that the researcher used, there were 26 students with low incomes with incomes <Rp.500,000 and those with high incomes were 4 students with incomes of Rp. 1,000,000 - Rp. 1,999,999. The average student learning motivation only reached 36%, which is included in the very low category. Internal factors (31%) and external factors (42%) both play a role in decreasing students' learning motivation. Interventions such as scholarships and support from parents and schools are needed to increase students' enthusiasm for learning. Thus, it can be concluded that the learning motivation of class VII students at SMP Negeri 20 Sigi is very low.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the amount of macronutrient content contained in Moringa leaf crackers (Moringa oleifera). This study used a Complete Random Design (RAL) and was an experimental study using moringa leaf flour formulations, namely F0 (0%), F1 (10%), F2 (15%), and F (20%) each treatment was repeated 3 times. The analysis data with the Analysis Of Variance (ANOVA) statistical test showed the real difference between treatments. Determination of protein content using the Anthrone method, protein content using the Biuret method, and determination of fat content using Soxhlet. The results showed that the carbohydrate content in the formula of 10% moringa leaf flour was 0.47%, the formula of 15% moringa leaf flour was 0.41%, the formula of 20% moringa leaf flour was 0.34%, the protein content in the formula of 10% moringa leaf flour was 0.262%, the formula of 15% moringa leaf flour was 0.313%, and the formula of 20% moringa leaf flour was 0.322%. The fat content in the 10% moringa leaf flour formula is 10.28%, the 15% moringa leaf flour formula is 13.76% and the 20% moringa leaf flour formula is 28.26%.
