Abstract

AbstractMillenial generation, is a generation who born and live in current development and advanced technology. It makes them one step beyond from previous generation. However, millennial generation is to busy with their world, so that their so care less with their social environment, or surroundings. Especially at Rokan Hulu, where there are rural communities, named Bonai Tribe. Bonai tribe has so many traditional arts and culture which is required to be known and studied by millennial generation. Abstract

ABSTRAKManusia tidak pernah lepas dari kebudayaan dan adat istiadat, kebudayaan berfungsi sebagai identitas dan ciri khas masing-masing daerah. Kebudayaan bersifat turun-temurun, dari generasi ke generasi terus diwariskan. Di Desa Ulak Patian terdapat budaya dan seni tradisi yang diwarisi oleh masyarakat Suku Bonai, karena Desa Ulak Patian merupakan pusat pemukiman suku terasing di Rokan Hulu yaitu Suku Bonai. Lembaga yang berwenang sebaiknya melakukan pembinaan terhadap Suku Bonai yang memiliki seni tradisi yang sudah ada sejak lama, terutama Tari Cegak. Karena jika pembinaan tidak dilakukan, maka akan dikhawatirkan kesenian tradisi yang ada pada Suku Bonai akan punah ditelan perkembangan zaman yang semakin berkembang dari waktu ke waktu. Pembinaan Tari Cegak dilakukan oleh Dinas Pariwisata Kabupaten Rokan Hulu untuk melestarikan dan menjaga kebudayaan serta tradisi-tradisi yang ada di Rokan Hulu khususnya di Desa Ulak Patian. Cegak Dance Development by Rokan Hulu Department of Culture and Tourism ABSTRACT Culture and customs can’t be separated from humans. Culture has functioned as a character and identity for each region. Culture is hereditary, it is still inherited from generation to generation. In the village of Ulak Patian, there are cultural and artistic traditions were inherited by Bonai tribal society, because Ulak Patian Village is the centre of isolated settlements in Rokan Hulu, which is the Bonai Tribe. Bonai Tribe should be coached by the authorized institution because they have traditional art that has been around for a long time, especially Cegak dance. If they don’t act, it will be feared that traditional arts that exist in the Bonai Tribe will be extinct. Cegak dance can be done coaching by the Department of Culture and Tourism at Rokan Hulu to preserve the culture and traditions that exist in Rokan Hulu, especially at Ulak Patian Village.

Abstract

Bukoba Tradition is an oral tradition that delivers news in the form of verse, and the verse contains words and meanings to be conveyed accompanied by music. Bukoba is a tradition that contains values which should be recognized by the younger generation. Bukoba contains educational, religious, social, and traditional values. Educational value is an invitation to listeners to preserve customs, culture and tradition which had been long gone. Religion value is in the form of conveying to the audience for always carrying out acts of worship and never forgetting Allah SWT. Social Value is when the audience can meet their relatives and old friends who haven't seen them for a long time. Traditional value is a medium to inherit traditional values. Introduction to values in Bukoba must be instilled to the younger generation of Rokan Hulu so that they can be nurtured and not eroded by globalization.Keywords: Bukoba, Values, Oral Tradition

Abstract

ABSTRAKTari Gambyong asal mulanya berdasarkan nama seorang penari jalanan. Nama seorang penari ini adalah Gambyong. Tari Gambyong merupakan salah satu bentuk tari tradisi yang hidup dan berkembang dalam kehidupan masyarakat Jawa Tengah di Batam. Tari Gambyong memiliki  unsur-unsur   tari seperti:   tema,   gerak,   musik,   kostum, desain  lantai,  dinamika,  tata  rias,  dan lighting yang tidak dapat dipisahkan satu sama lain. Eksistensi Tari Gambyong di Sanggar Duta Santarina sangat diterima dan diminati oleh masyarakat Batam pada umumnya dan masyarakat Jawa yang tinggal di Batam khususnya. Tari Gambyong di Batam saat ini populer bagi masyarakat Jawa yang berdomisili di sana. Dalam setiap acara, Tari Gambyong sering ditampilkan terutama untuk menyambut tamu agung atau untuk memperkenalkan budaya Jawa Tengah di Kota Batam.ABSTRACTThe origin of Gambyong Dance is based on the name of street dancer. The name is Gambyong. Gambyong Dance is one of traditional dance which is live and growing in the life of Central Java’s people at Batam. Gambyong Dance has elements like theme, movement, music, costume, floor pattern, dynamics, cosmetology, and lightning, which are cannot be separated each other. The existence of Gambyong Dance at Duta Santarina Studio is very welcome by the people of Batam in general, and particular for Javanese people who live in Batam. Nowadays, Gambyong Dance is very popular for Javanese people who live in there. In every event, Gambyong Dance often performed to welcome grand guests or to introduce Central Java’s culture in Batam. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method, data collection technique using observation, interview, and documentation.

Abstract

Event Organizer atau biasa di singkat EO merupakan salah satu wadah komunikasi yang efektif untuk melakukan kegiatan promosi dewasa ini. EO seperti merupakan sarana komunikasi, promosi dan pemasaran yang sudah banyak dilakukan oleh perusahaan- perusahaan atau pelaku-pelaku usaha baik skala kecil, menengah, dan atas. Kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh EO merupakan kegiatan yang bersinggungan dengan promosi, product launching, press conerence, image building, hingga untuk memperoleh good wiil, kerjasama, dan kepercayaan dari pihak luar. Tujuan dari EO sendiri tidak lain merupakan jalan bagi sebuah organiasai atau perusahaan untuk berkomunikasi dan menarik khalayak yang potensial sehingga dapat menguntungkan bagi kedua belah pihak. EO sendiri hingga saat ini dibutuhkan oleh banyak pihak bukan hanya perusahaan atau organisasi di perkotaan melainkan juga dibutuhkan oleh organisasi atau perusahaan didaerah-daerah, terutama daerah yang memiliki potensi wisata untuk dikembangkan sehingga kemudian hari akan menghasilkan keuntungan bagi daerah tersebut

Abstract

Meranti district community consists of a variety of ethnic groups, including Melayu, Tiong hoa, Minang, and others. One of the tribes that still exists in Meranti district is Asli Tribe. Asli Tribe has numerous arts that flourish and develop in their culture. The art that exists in Asli Tribe is Joget Bontek dance, Joget Bontek is a dance of joy and entertainment that is usually performed at wedding receptions, circumsicion ceremonies, welcoming guests, and others. Joget Bontek dance is comprised of dance movements, floor patterns, music, dynamics, themes, makeup and costumes that combined, make Joget Bontek dance become more interisting. To obtain accurate and precise data, the author uses analysis descriptive method using qualitative data. Data collection techniques in this research using non-participan observations, guided interviews, documentation using camera to take photographs and recordings of Joget Bontek dance in an effort to strengthen the research results obtained from secondary sources.

Abstract

Yoga is a meditation activity where someone decides whole mind to control five senses and body as a whole. Yoga members at Dewata Studio do yoga that is done with breathing exercise, body exercise, and meditation. All these exercises have benefits increase body fitness and overcoming depression. But many yoga members are having trouble to understand basic yoga movement. There are so many reasons why yoga members having trouble to understand basic movement, on of the reason is because COVID-19 pandemy, they can’t go to the Dewata Studio, so they can’t understand and explore basic yoga movement. As we know, basic yoga movement is the most important basic if we want to learn about yoga. There are 15 basic yoga movements at Dewata Studio that all yoga members must mastered before moving on to the next stage. This research help yoga members to understand and explore basic yoga movement by using an android application based on augmented reality. The application using by each member of Dewata Studio yoga member and give an explanation each movement. Using this application must under supervision of yoga trainers at Dewata Studio. With this application it is hoped that all yoga members at Dewata Studio can understand and explore basic yoga movement.

Abstract

Silat Pangean is an art form that features martial arts movements. Silat Pangean has an important role in various traditional ceremonies, especially in Kota Baru Village, Riau Province. Silat Pangean is inseparable in the procession of Panggak Adat where Silat Pangean becomes part of the custom in Kota Baru Village which becomes one unit.  Silat Pangean is performed early in the Panggak Adat procession which aims to welcome the arrival of the groom as a form of friendship between the two parties. The function of the fighter after the silat performance is over is to guard the bride and groom while the Panggak Adat is taking place. This research aims to find out how the series of Silat Pangean performances in the procession of traditional wedding Panggak in Kota Baru Village, Riau Province. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that Pangean Silat in Kota Baru Village is not only a martial art, but also an entertainment silat that has an important role in the Panggak Adat procession in Kota Baru Village. The form of Silat Pangean performance is seen from several elements such as clothing, musical accompaniment, audience, stage and players. This research is expected to contribute to the development of cultural studies and local traditions, as well as increase awareness of the importance of preserving cultural heritage in Indonesia, especially in Riau Province.

Abstract

This thesis aims to find out the Space Contemporary Dance by Mu'ammar Ghadafi in Pekanbaru, Riau. This dance was created in 2020. It was first performed at the PASTAKOM (Contemporary Dance Market) event at the Pekanbaru Cultural Park. This research uses a descriptive method by using qualitative data. The data collection is taken by observation, interviews and documentation. In this study, the research subjects consisted of 5 people. They are 1 choreographer (Mu’ammar Ghadafi), 3 dancers (Muhammad Sukri, Izadri and Iqbal), and 1 musician (Sulaiman). It used Soedarsono's theory. Space Contemporary Dance has some elements in the movements such as igal, acrobatics, jumping, body writhing, hand and zapin fist movements. The music used is a digital musical instrument. The dramatic design in this dance is in the form of a single cone dramatic design because the stages of the flow in this dance are increasing towards the climax and slowly continuing to the decreasing stage. The dynamics in this dance are changes in level and tempo. The main theme is about the relationship between human social life and God of the universe. The clothes used in this dance only uses black shorts without top. This dance uses beautiful and bold make-up. It does not use props, only shawl accessories.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of sign language in dance learning in deaf students at the junior high school level at SLB Negeri Siak. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the use of sign language in dance learning for deaf students at the junior high school level at SLB is very effective in improving their understanding and skills. Teaching methods that use SIBI and BISINDO sign language help deaf students to more easily understand dance movement instructions. . The findings make an important contribution to the development of more inclusive and effective teaching methods in SLB, as well as providing practical guidance for teachers in teaching dance to deaf students.
