Abstract

Fertile soil is a prerequisite for plants to grow well. Fertility level can be influenced by the intensity of the water it contains. In order for plants to grow properly, watering needs to be done every time and continuously. This tool aims to replace manual work to automatic. The benefit of this tool is that it can facilitate human work in watering plants. This tool uses a soil moisture sensor that functions as a soil moisture detector and sends commands to Arduino nano to turn on the relay driver so that the pump can flush water according to the needs of the soil automatically.

Abstract

Suhu tubuh didefinisi kan sebagai salah satu tanda vital yang menggambarkan status kesehatan manusia. Pengukuran suhu tubuh sangat bermanfaat sebagai salah satu petunjuk penting untuk deteksi awal adanya suatu penyakit. Rangkaian desain pengukuran sebagai acuan dalam pembuatan alat pendeteksi suhu tubuh menggunakan infrared dan Arduino. Perangkat keras yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah sensor imfrared (MLX 90614), Arduino uno, Lcd dan Buzzer. Sistem ini dibangun untuk mendeteksi suhu tubuh menggunakan sensor suhu infrared dan Arduino secara tak sentuh.

Abstract

A vehicle suspension system must be able to isolate or reduce the vibration of vehicle body due to unevenness of the road surface. To solve the situation as above, it was needed a controller on the actuator (active suspension) to dampen oscillations of body. In this study, it was designed a controller at a quarter of the suspension system bus using control LQR (Linear Quadratic Regulator) and compared it with PID control. This system will be modeled by State Space and Transfer Function models using Matlab 2011. The results obtained were LQR control system was better than the PID. In LQR, the value of ? was 0.1 and in PID, the value of gain is Kp = 832 100, Ki = 624 075 and 208 025 on the Kd = PID. LQR controller slower reach steady state compared with PID controllers. Stable conditions will be achieved within 30 seconds before the control and after using controller, time of stability to be 3 seconds.

Abstract

The Sawit Jaya Village Unit Cooperative (KUD) in Tapung District, Kampar Regency, Riau still uses a manual cashier system in the sales transaction process, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Therefore, innovation is needed by building an electronic cashier system that can improve the performance of the Sawit Jaya KUD business. The aim of this community service is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the sales transaction process of the Sawit Jaya KUD by implementing an electronic cashier system. The methods used in this community service include discussions, data collection, system design, system development, system implementation, training, and report writing. The results of this community service show that the electronic cashier system has successfully improved the performance of the Sawit Jaya KUD business and can help in producing more accurate and efficient sales reports. Thus, the implementation of an electronic cashier system can be a solution to improve the business performance of the Sawit Jaya KUD.

Abstract

In early March 2020, Indonesia experienced an outbreak of the virus known as Corona Disease 2019 or covid-19 and has been declared by the World Health Organization as a pandemic on March 9, 2020. To prevent the transmission of the virus, the use of masks is a solution that is considered effective and efficient enough to prevent the spread of the covid-19 virus. But the use of this mask is sometimes still an unusual thing among the public. Detection of the use of masks so far is only done manually through observation by officers and this has some limitations that cannot be done every time and every place. For this reason, researchers make a mask-using precision detection tool made using machine learning. Machine learning works to classify data in the form of images then matched with the image of the face that has been captured, after which the data is sent to arduino as an output. If the facial data is not masked then LCD, red LED and Buzzer will light up. This python program is able to detect mask wearers with an accuracy of 100% at a distance of 50 cm. These results indicate that the problem can be solved properly.

Abstract

Posyandu yang berada dilingkungan kerja Puskesmas Bangkinang Kota masih banyak terdapat kendala dalam pengolahan informasi kepada masyarakat, karena masih menggunakan cara manual. Proses manual yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan pelayanan posyandu tersebut dimulai dari melakukan pencatatan kehadiran anak, melakukan pencatatatan data imuniasasi, melakukan penimbangan berat badan anak. Bentuk kegiatan tersebut masih dilakukan dengan pencatatan dikertas atau buku KIA, dan untuk informasi penjadwalan posyandu berikutnya belum tersedia. Kendala yang dihadapi bagi masyarakat jika ingin mendapatkan informasi secara cepat, sering terkandala dengan jam kerja pegawai Posyandu Puskesmas Bangkinang Kota dan pada saat sosialisasi yang dilakukan oleh pegawai Posyandu tidak semua masyarakat hadir atau mengetahui informasi tentang kegiatan Posyandu. Oleh karena itu solusi yang ditawarkan pada usulan program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yakni dengan pembuatan sistem informasi rekap data imunisasi Puskesmas Bangkinang Kota. Serta pelatihan penggunaan sistem kepada setiap petugas posyandu dilingkungan Puskesmas Bangkinang Kota.

Abstract

      Tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS) yang merupakan sumber gula mengandung selulosa yang tinggi (75-80%), sehingga memiliki potensi besar untuk dijadikan bioetanol. Tujuan penelitian adalah menggunakan kembali tandan kosong kelapa sawit sebagai bahan utama dalam pembuatan bioetanol generasi II dengan melakukan pengembangan proses. Proses pertama yaitu pretreatment dengan menambahkan NaOH dan H2SO4 2%, dilanjutkan proses fermentasi menggunakan perbandingan Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Aspergillus oryzae dengan perbandingan 5,10,15 dan 20% selama 7 hari. Terakhir adalah proses destilasi pada suhu 79 oC. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, larutan NaOH lebih banyak menurunkan kadar lignin dan hemiselulosa sebesar 12.22% dan 45.17%, sedangkan selulosa mengalami kenaikan sebesar 71.34%. pada proses fermentasi, maka didapatkan variasi  konsentrasi dan waktu optimum proses fermentasi pada penelitian ini adalah penambahan konsentrasi Saccharomyces cerevisiae  5%, dengan volume bioetanol yang dihasilkan sebesar 14.4 ml,  densitas 0.8757 g/ml dan kadar glukosa yang tertinggal sebanyak 8.48%.

Abstract

The nickel smelting industry in Morowali, Central Sulawesi, contributes significantly to the economy but faces substantial challenges in occupational safety. Recurrent fires in these smelters highlight deficiencies in the implementation of occupational health and safety (OHS) policies, as well as their impacts on workers and the surrounding environment. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of public policies in mitigating fire risks in smelter industries, focusing on identifying root causes, policy implementation, and the role of oversight. The study adopts a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, analyzing regulatory documents, fire incident reports, and media articles. The analysis reveals that the primary causes of fires include procedural negligence, inadequate safety infrastructure, and weak OHS implementation. Insufficient government oversight and inadequate employee training further exacerbate the issue. Key findings indicate that existing regulations are not fully effective due to inconsistent implementation in practice. The study recommends strengthening oversight, enforcing strict penalties, and enhancing safety training for workers. In conclusion, with integrated improvement measures, fire risks can be minimized, creating a safer and more sustainable working environment.

Abstract

Kumantan Village is a village administratively located in Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency. Kumantan Village has an area of 16 km² with a population of 6,146 people. The dissemination of information in Kumantan Village has not been digitalized, where information is distributed through RW and RT assistance or directly to residents. Public service activities in Kumantan Village are still conducted manually. This situation results in suboptimal public services and information dissemination. The proposed solution to address this issue is the development of a public service information system to streamline correspondence management and broaden information dissemination. The community service program for implementing the public service information system has been conducted and is expected to resolve the identified problems.

Abstract

Perangkat mikrokontroller saat ini telah banyak diaplikasikan untuk membantu pekerjaaan atau permasalahan yang dihadapi terutama yang berkaitan dengan sistem otomasi. Pekerjaan yang dilakukan dengan sistem otomasi akan membuat pekerjan lebih mudah, efektif dan efesien. Salah satu aplikasi dari perangkat mikrokontroller adalah data logger yang dapat merekam suatu data secara terus menerus dan berkala selama 24 jam. Pada penelitian ini dibuat sebuah prototype data logger untuk suhu dan kelembaban. Sistem perekeman data (data logger) suhu dan kelembaban dilakukan secara otomatis dengan menggunakan arduino uno dan disimpan ke sebuah SD. Arduino merupakan salah satu varian modul mikrokontroller yang mudah dimengerti, open source dan dasar pemogramannya menggunakan bahasa C. Sistem ini menggunakan sensor SHT11 untuk mengukur suhu dan kelembaban, RTC (Real Time Clock), Modul SD card, Kartu Memori, LCD dan Wifi.
