Abstract

Air bersih merupakan kebutuhan pokok yang selalu dikonsumsi masyarakat dan berpengaruh pada kelancaran aktivitas masyarakat. Masyarakat Desa Vokasi Mranak Kabupaten Demak mengalami kesulitan untuk mendapatkan air bersih yang sehat dan berkualitas  secara  berkelanjutan.  Air  bersih  masih  sangat  susah  didapatkan  didaerah  ini karena masih banyak masyarakat yang sumber airnya berasal dari sungai. Padahal air sungai masih dalam kondisi banyak bakteri, logam berat, kotor dan sebagainya. Permasalahan timbul ketika terjadi musim kemarau, dimana sumber air tanah dan sungai kecil mengalami penurunan   kuantitas. Kondisi ini menyebabkan   kondisi kesehatan masyarakat menurun. Pemanfaatan  air  sungai  menjadi  air  bersih  sangat  dianjurkan.  Teknologi  yang  dapat mengatasi permasalah tersebut adalah nano filtrasi. Alasan menggunakan teknologi ini karena ketika buntu filternya dapat dilakukan perawatan yang murah.   Oleh karena itu salah  satu solusi untuk meningkatkan  mutu air bersih pada masyarakat di daerah Mranak, Kabupaten Demak adalah dengan menerapkan   teknologi pengolah air sungai menjadi air bersih dan bebas bakteri. Air yang  dihasilkan alat ini dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menghasilkan air bersih dan sehat untuk dikonsumsi rumah tangga. Metode pelaksanaan program dibagi menjadi tiga bagian, tahap sosialisasi, tahap praktek dan pendampingan, tahap evaluasi dan pembentukan kepengurusan. Tahap sosialisasi merupakan bagian untuk mensosialisasikan keberadaan alat teknologi  pengolah  air  sungai  menjadi  air  bersih  dan  bebas  bakteri  kepada  masyarakat sasaran untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai pengolah air sungai menjadi air bersih. Pada tahap ini juga dijelaskan bahwa alat teknologi pengolah air sungai juga mudah dalam perawatan sehingga sangat murah untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut. Pada tahap praktek dan pendampingan merupakan tahap terpenting dari program ini. Tahap ini akan dilakukan proses produksi teknologi pengolah air sungai dan tahap penerapan langsung alat. Selanjutnya pada tahap pendampingan dilakukan pendirian kepengurusan Desa Mranak sebagai langkah untuk menghimpun masyarakat yang mau   merawat dan mengembangkan menjadi anggota dari program ini. Tahap evaluasi bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar peningkatan penerapan teknologi pengolah air sungai menjadi air bersih dan bebas bakteri yang dapat dilihat dari segi kualitatif air sungai (mutu air bersih).

Abstract

The nutritional status of adolescent who live in Islamic boarding schools on average is lacking. Poor nutritional status can be directly influenced by food intake and food acceptability. The implementation of food in Islamic boarding school is a benchmark for the achievement of good nutritional status. The purpose of this research is  to determine the relation of food acceptability and nutritional intake with the nutritional status of female students in Modern Islamic Boarding Schools Assalam Sukoharjo. The study used a cross-sectional design and the sampling used simple random sampling techniques. Sample total was 45 students. The independent variable and the dependent variable were analyzed by using correlation test. Descriptive analysis results shown 68.9% of students had less acceptance, 91.1% of students had energy intake that is classified as severe deficit and 66.7% of students had protein intake that is classified as over. The result showed that there is no relation between food acceptability (p = 0.690), energy intake (p = 0.629), and protein intake (p = 0.985) with nutritional status. The result shown that the nutritional status of a person who live in a boarding school was not influenced by food acceptability and nutritional intake but the presence of other factors such as body image (p = 0.007), appetite (p = 0.026), and outside food (0.019). Food providers at the Islamic boarding school should  pay attention to the variety of food processing that will be served to student so that student do not feel bored and the importance of providing education related to proper dieting methods to maintain optimal nutritional status

Abstract

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a collection of physical, psychological and emotional symptoms associated with a woman's menstrual cycle. Calcium and magnesium affect the hormone estrogen. Vitamin B6 has an important role in the formation of serotonin associated with premenstrual syndrome.The aim of this study to analyze the relationship of nutritional knowledge, nutritional status, calcium, magnesium, vitamin B6 intake and physical activity with premenstrual syndrome. This research is a quantitative research with cross sectional approach. Samples were taken using total sampling technique with 40 respondents. Data were obtained by interview using nutrition knowledge questionnaire, Shortened Premenstrual Assessment Form (sPAF), 2x24 hour physical activity recall sheet and Semi Quantitative FFQ sheet. Data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate using Rank Spearman and Pearson Product Moment test. The results showed that 70% of respondents had enough knowledge category, 57.5% of respondents had normal body mass index (BMI), 50% of respondents had mild activity level, 55% had premenstrual syndrome with moderate to severe symptoms, 62.5% of respondents had less calcium adequacy, while the magnesium adequacy (70%) and vitamin B6 (67.5%) were adequate. The results showed there was no correlation between nutritional knowledge with calcium, magnesium and vitamin B6 intake (p>0.05). There was a relationship between nutritional status and premenstrual syndrome (p <0.05) and no association between calcium intake, magnesium, vitamin B6 and physical activity with premenstrual syndrome (p>0.05).

Abstract

The condition of family food security is influenced by the ability of the family to fulfill their food needs and result in the lack of nutritional fulfillment of family members, including toddlers. This type of research is analytical research using cross sectional approach. The population and the sample in this study were 43 toddlers aged 24-59 months selected with purposive sampling method. Data were analyzed using Pearson and Rank Spearman trials. The results of this study indicate most (65,1%) family food security in the category of not food resistant. The average food diversity score was 4,86 with moderate category (67,4%). The level of energy consumption was less than 48,8% and level of protein consumption was excessive (53,5%). Nutritional status of children under five by BB/TB was mostly (86%) normal, BB/U was in good nutrition (86%), and TB/U was normal (81,4%). There were correlations of food security with the level of energy consumption (ρ=0,000), protein consumption’s level (ρ=0,048), BB/U (ρ =0,036), and TB/U (ρ=0,010); level of energy consumption with BB/TB (ρ=0,006); levels of protein consumption with TB/U (ρ=0,005). There were no correlations between food type diversity with energy (ρ=0,129) and protein (ρ=0,376) consumption level; energy consumption level with BB/U (ρ=0,785) and TB/U (ρ=0,382); levels of protein consumption with BB/TB (ρ=0,091) and BB/U (ρ=0,240); food security with BB/TB (ρ=0,324). It was suggested for the children under five’s family to utilize the soil with garden plants or to raise livestock to fulfill households needs while also improving socio-economy so that nutritional needs can be fulfilled.

Abstract

In 2017, 95.26% of 21,098 blood donor candidates was failed to donate their blood because the hemoglobin level did not meet the requirement. Nutritional status is one of the factors that influences hemoglobin level. The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship of protein, iron, vitamin C, phytate, and tannin intake towards the hemoglobin level. The research method used was explanatory research with cross-sectional design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with samples as many as 46 subjects of male blood donors in Blood Donor Unit of Indonesian Red Cross in Semarang City. The data were collected through interview method with structured questionnaire and the data of nutrition intake were collected with semiquantitative FFQ. The normality test used Shapiro-wilk. Data analysis used correlation test and Chi-Square test. The results showed average BMI of the respondents 26.6±4.57 kg/m2 and hemoglobin level of 15.2±1.48 g/dL. The results also showed the average of protein sufficiency of the respondents 44,4±22,25%, 78,4±32,71% of iron, 20,6±6,94% of vitamin C, 1056,7±227,89 mg of phytate intake, 2±1,6 mg of tannin intake. There was a relationship between the total of sufficiency level of protein (r=0,466 p=0,000), iron (r=0,423 p=0,003), vitamin C (r=0,352 p=0,017), and intake of tannin (r=-0.555 p=0,000) towards hemoglobin level. There was no relation between the intake of phytate (r=0,008 p=0,957) towards hemoglobin level. The conclusion, the sufficiency level of protein, iron, vitamin C and the amount of tannin intake related with the hemoglobin level.

Abstract

Groundwater management at groundwater basins Sumowono needs to be done because of the increasing development of the area. This research is oriented to analyzing groundwater conditions, compiling groundwater conservation zones, and explaining conservation zones' suitability with spatial maps. The method used is mapping hydrogeological conditions such as surface observation of rock types, inventory of hydrogeological points of interest, knowing the patterns and directions of groundwater flow, groundwater utilization, and groundwater sampling to measure the degree of acidity and electrical conductivity. From the mapping results, it is found that the lithology is composed of tuffaceous sandstones and volcanic breccias. Based on the free groundwater table analysis, the free groundwater flow pattern follows the topographic slope, flowing from the high topography on the south and southeast sides to the low topography on the north side of the area. The utilization of groundwater is used for irrigation, domestic and fishery purposes. Measurement of groundwater samples' quality for the degree of acidity is between 5.32-7.98 while the electrical conductivity is between 36-550 µS / cm, and the level of damage due to groundwater utilization is included in the safe zone. The groundwater conservation zone consists of recharge areas and spring protection zones. The result of overlapping between the groundwater conservation zone and the spatial plan map shows suitability as a protection zone.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Praktik pemberian ASI eksklusif wajib dilakukan pada bayi usia 0−6 bulan. Persentase capaian pemberian ASI secara eksklusif di Kabupaten Semarang masih lebih rendah dari target nasional. Penyebabnya karena masih rendahnya pelaksanaan inisiasi menyusu dini dan pemberian makanan prelakteal masih banyak dilakukan karena kebiasaan setempat menganggap bayi tidak cukup hanya diberi ASI. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan praktik ASI eksklusif di daerah pertanian Kabupaten Semarang.Metode: Penelitian cross-sectional dengan pengambilan sampel secara purposive di Desa Banyukuning, Kecamatan Bandungan, Kabupaten Semarang. Sampel sebanyak 27 ibu menyusui yang memiliki bayi usia 0-6 bulan.Hasil: Proporsi praktik ASI eksklusif di daerah pertanian Kabupaten Semarang sebesar 37%. Ibu menyusui pada penelitian ini 81,5% berusia 20-35 tahun, 85,2% IRT, 70,4% menyelesaikan pendidikan dasar, 51,9% multipara, 74,1% IMT tidak normal, 88,9% kadar Hb normal, 92,6% menerima dukungan tenaga kesehatan berupa kunjungan postpartum, 85,2% melahirkan di praktik bidan, 96,3% persalinan normal, 85,2% tidak melaksanakan IMD, 63,0% bayi menerima makanan prelakteal, dan 51,9% tidak terpapar promosi susu formula. Variabel yang berhubungan dengan praktik ASI eksklusif yaitu status gizi ibu berdasar IMT, pelaksanaan IMD, bayi menerima makanan prelakteal, dan terpapar promosi susu formula. Variabel yang tidak berhubungan yaitu usia ibu, status pekerjaan ibu, tingkat pendidikan ibu, paritas, kadar Hb ibu, dukungan tenaga kesehatan, tempat persalinan, dan cara persalinan.Simpulan: Status gizi ibu berdasar IMT, pelaksanaan IMD, bayi menerima makanan prelakteal, dan terpapar promosi susu formula merupakan faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan keberhasilan praktik ASI eksklusif di daerah pertanian Kabupaten Semarang.Kata kunci: ASI eksklusif, pertanian, prelakteal, inisiasi menyusu dini (IMD), Kabupaten Semarang ABSTRACT Title: The Factors Related to Exclusive Breastfeeding Practice in Agricultural Area of Semarang Regency (Studies in Mothers of Infants Aged 0−6 Months)Background: Exclusive breastfeeding practice is mandatory for infants aged 0−6 months. The percentage achievement of exclusive breastfeeding in Semarang Regency is still lower than the national target. The reason is the implementation of early initiation was still low and prelacteal feeding was still widely practiced because local customs consider that’s not enough for infants to be breastfed. This study aims to analyze the factors related to exclusive breastfeeding practice in agricultural area of Semarang Regency.Method: Cross-sectional study with purposive sampling in Banyukuning Village, Bandungan District, Semarang Regency. Samples were 27 breastfeeding mothers who had infants aged 0-6 months.Result: Proportion of exclusive breastfeeding practice in agricultural area of Semarang Regency is 37%. Breastfeeding mothers were 81.5% aged 20-35 years, 85.2% housewives, 70.4% completed basic education, 51.9% multiparous, 74.1% overweight, 88.9% normal Hb levels, 92.6% received postpartum visits, 85.2% gave birth at a midwife, 96.3% normal deliveries, 85.2% weren’t implemented early initiation, 63.0% infants received prelacteal food, and 51.9% weren’t exposured of formula milk promotion. Variables related were maternal nutritional status based on BMI, implementation of early initiation, infants received prelacteal food, and exposured of formula milk promotion. Variables weren’t related were maternal age, mother’s employment status, mother's education level, parity, maternal Hb levels, support from health workers, place and mode of delivery.Conclusion: Maternal nutritional status based on BMI, implementation of early initiation, infants received prelacteal food, and exposured of formula milk promotion are factors related to the success of excluisve breastfeeding practice in agricultural area of Semarang Regency.Keywords: Exclusive breastfeeding, agricultural, prelacteal, early initiation, Semarang Regency

Abstract

ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Dismenorea primer banyak ditemui pada wanita usia sekitar 17-24 tahun dan masih menjadi permasalahan yang dikeluhkan bagi remaja putri karena dapat menyebabkan terganggunya aktivitas sehari-hari dan tertinggalnya mata pelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan tingkat stres, status anemia dengan dismenorea primer pada siswi kelas XII di SMAN 1 Nganjuk.Metode: Penelitian dengan desain cross sectional ini dilakukan kepada 74 siswi dengan metode proportional stratified random sampling dari 213 siswi kelas XII SMAN 1 Nganjuk. Variabel bebas yang diteliti adalah tingkat stres dan status anemia, sedangkan variabel terikat adalah dismenorea primer. Data karakteristik seperti usia menarche, lama menstruasi, riwayat keluarga, dan kebiasaan sarapan diperoleh dengan wawancara terstruktur. Profil status gizi seperti IMT/U, kecukupan kalsium, magnesium, Fe dan vitamin E dan status anemia, berturut-turut, diperiksa dengan pengukuran antropometri, formulir semi-FFQ dan food picture, pengukuran kadar hemoglobin menggunakan Hemochroma. Penentuan tingkat aktivitas fisik, tingkat stress dan  persepsi dismenorea primer, berturut-turut, dilakukan dengan kuesioner IPAQ, DASS 42, dan MSQ.  Uji bivariat dianalisis menggunakan Chi Square dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,05.Hasil: Sebanyak 34% remaja putri mengalami dismenorea primer, anemia 71,6% dan yang mengalami stres 56,8%. Terdapat hubungan antara tingkat stres (p=0,002; C=0,339) dan status anemia (p=0,001; C=0,552) dengan dismenorea primer. Lama menstruasi (p=0,008; C=0,293), riwayat keluarga (p=0,010; C=0,287), tingkat kecukupan kalsium (p=0,001; C=0,640), tingkat kecukupan Fe (p=0,009; C=0,639) serta tingkat kecukupan vitamin E (p=0,001; C=0,596) juga berhubungan dengan dismenorea primer.Simpulan: Dismenorea primer remaja putri berhubungan dengan tingkat stres dan status anemia. Namun demikian, dismenorea primer juga dipengaruhi oleh lama menstruasi, riwayat keluarga, tingkat kecukupan kalsium, Fe dan vitamin E. Kata kunci: tingkat stres, status anemia, dismenorea primer, siswi SMA, Nganjuk ABSTRACT Title: Relationship between Stress Level and Anemia Status with Primary Dysmenorrhoea in Class XII Students at SMAN 1 Nganjuk Background: Primary dysmenorrhoea is mostly found in women aged around 17-24 years and is still a problem that is complained of for young women because it can cause disruption of daily activities and lagging subjects. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of stress levels, anemia status with primary dysmenorrhoea in class XII students at SMAN 1 Nganjuk.Method: This cross sectional design study was conducted on 74 students using proportional stratified random sampling method from 213 students of class XII SMAN 1 Nganjuk. The independent variables studied were stress level and anemia status, while the dependent variable was primary dysmenorrhoea. Data on characteristics such as menarche age, menstrual period, family history, and breakfast habits were obtained by structured interview. Nutritional status profiles such as BMI /U, adequate calcium, magnesium, Fe and vitamin E and anemia status, respectively, were examined by anthropometric measurements, semi-FFQ forms and food pictures, measurement of hemoglobin levels using Hemochroma. Determination of the level of physical activity, stress levels and perception of primary dysmenorrhoea, respectively, was carried out with the IPAQ questionnaire, DASS 42, and MSQ. Bivariate test was analyzed using Chi Square with a significance level of 0.05.Results: As many as 34% of adolescent girls experienced primary dysmenorrhoea, anemia 71.6% and those experiencing stress 56.8%. There is a relationship between stress level (p = 0.002; C = 0.339) and anemia status (p = 0.001; C = 0.552) with primary dysmenorrhoea. Menstrual duration (p = 0.008; C = 0,293), family history (p = 0.010; C = 0,287), calcium adequacy level (p = 0,001; C = 0,640), adequacy level of Fe (p = 0,009; C = 0,639) and adequate levels of vitamin E (p = 0.001; C = 0.596) are also associated with primary dysmenorrhoea.Conclusion: Primary dysmenorrhoea in adolescent girls is associated with stress levels and anemia status. Abstract

Latar belakang: Pola makan beragam dan memenuhi kecukupan gizi akan mempengaruhi status gizi ibu menyusui. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan keragaman pangan dengan kecukupan gizi dan status gizi ibu menyusui di daerah pertanian Kecamatan Karangreja Kabupaten Purbalingga.Metode: Jenis penelitian observasional analitik dengan desain cross-sectional. Sampel sebanyak 60 ibu menyusui bayi usia 0-6 bulan dengan pengambilan sampel secara purposive. Keragaman pangan diukur menggunakan MDD-W dari FAO, kecukupan gizi diukur menggunakan food recall 2x24 jam, status gizi menurut IMT dan ukuran LILA, serta persen lemak tubuh dihitung menggunakan rumus prediksi Paul Deurenberg. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson dan Rank Spearman.Hasil: Ibu menyusui berusia 20-35 tahun, 61,7% menyelesaikan pendidikan dasar, 88,3% IRT, 86,7% menggunakan kontrasepsi hormonal, 63,3% pendapatan keluarga <UMR, 66,7% jumlah anggota keluarga ≥ 4 orang, rerata skor keragaman pangan 5,57 (beragam), tingkat kecukupan energi, tingkat kecukupan protein, tingkat kecukupan karbohidrat ≤89% AKG (kurang), tingkat kecukupan lemak 90-110% AKG (normal),  tingkat kecukupan vitamin A ≥77% AKG (cukup), 65% persen lemak tubuh normal, 48,3% IMT kategori obesitas, dan 96,7% tidak berisiko KEK. Ada hubungan keragaman pangan dengan tingkat kecukupan vitamin A (p=0,000). Ada hubungan tingkat kecukupan protein dengan LILA (p=0,024). Ada hubungan persen lemak tubuh dengan IMT (p=0,000) dan LILA (p=0,000). Tidak ada hubungan keragaman pangan dengan IMT (p=0,426) dan LILA (p=0,433).Simpulan: Status gizi ibu menyusui tidak dipengaruhi secara langsung oleh keragaman pangan, namun, dipengaruhi oleh tingkat kecukupan protein, vitamin A dan persen lemak tubuh.Kata kunci: Keragaman Pangan; Kecukupan Gizi; Status Gizi; Ibu Menyusui; Daerah Pertanian ABSTRACTTitle: Relationship between Food Diversity with Nutritional Adequacy and Nutritional Status of Breastfeeding Mothers in Agricultural Area of Karangreja, Purbalingga RegencyBackground: The nutritional intake of breastfeeding mothers is still less than the nutrition adequacy rate because this is due to a less diverse diet. Consumption of various foods must be by the nutritional needs to achieve an ideal nutritional status. This study aims to analyze the relationship between food diversity with nutritional adequacy and nutritional status of breastfeeding mothers in agricultural area of Karangreja, Purbalingga Regency.Method:This type of research is analytic observational with a cross sectional design. Sample of 60 breastfeeding mothers infants aged 0-6 months with purposive sampling. Measurement of food diversity variables using Minimum Dietary Diversity for Women (MDD-W) from FAO, nutritional adequacy using food recall 2x24 hours, nutritional status using Body Mass Index (BMI) and Mid Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC) measurements, and percent body fat using Paul Deurenberg's predictive formula. Data analysis used the Pearson correlation test and Rank Spearman.Result: The average food diversity score was 5.57(various); average energy adequacy, protein adequacy, carbohydrate adequacy level ≤89% RDA (lacking); average fat adequacy level 90-110% RDA (normal); average vitamin A adequacy level ≥77% RDA (adequate); as much as 65% percent of body fat is normal, 48,3% of BMI is obese, and 96.7% is not at risk of chronic energy deficiency. There was a relationship between food diversity and the adequacy level of vitamin A (p-value=0.001). There was a relationship between the protein adequacy level with MUAC (p-value=0.024). There was a relationship between percent body fat with BMI (p-value=0.001) and MUAC (p-value=0.001). There was no relationship between food diversity with BMI (p-value=0.426) and MUAC (p-value=0.433).Conclusion: Nutritional status of breastfeeding mothers was not directly affected by food diversity. Abstract

Latar belakang: Kandungan Air Susu Ibu (ASI) yang memiliki fungsi penting dalam mencegah morbiditas hingga mortalitas bayi adalah protein. Protein dalam ASI berfungsi dalam perkembangan, imunitas, antibakteri, antiinflamasi, dan antiinfeksi. Kandungan protein dalam ASI dipengaruhi oleh beberapa hal yaitu asupan protein ibu dan status gizi ibu menyusui. Sumber protein yang dikonsumsi ibu menyusui akan diserap oleh tubuh dan kemudian dialirkan ke dalam kantung ASI untuk selanjutnya digunakan dalam pembentukan protein ASI. Ibu yang memiliki status gizi baik akan menyerap asupan protein dengan lebih baik sehingga kandungan protein dalam ASI lebih optimal. Tujuan dari penelitian studi literatur ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan asupan protein, status gizi ibu menyusui dan kandungan protein yang terdapat dalam ASI.Metode: Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah studi literatur menggunakan sumber data yang berasal dari hasil pencarian pada database online antara lain SCOPUS, Science Direct, Google Scholar, Proquest, dan Portal Garuda yang memuat jurnal nasional dan internasional terakreditasi.  Hasil: Pencarian artikel berdasarkan kata kunci didapatkan sebanyak 7389 artikel. Hasil akhir didapat 18 artikel yang memenuhi syarat untuk direview. Terdapat 9 artikel terkait asupan protein ibu menyusui terhadap kandungan protein ASI dan 13 artikel terkait status gizi ibu menyusui terhadap kandungan protein ASI.Simpulan: Terdapat 4 dari total 9 artikel menyatakan adanya hubungan antara asupan protein dan kandungan protein ASI. Terdapat 8 dari 13 artikel menyatakan ada hubungan antara status gizi ibu menyusui dan kandungan protein ASI. Asupan protein memiliki hubungan secara tidak langsung terhadap kandungan protein pada ASI dikarenakan penyerapan asupan protein pada ibu dan produksi protein ASI dipengaruhi oleh status gizi ibu serta hormon. Status gizi ibu menyusui memiliki hubungan secara langsung terhadap kandungan protein pada ASI. Ibu yang memiliki status gizi baik akan menyerap protein dari makanan dengan lebih optimal serta akan menghasilkan ASI dengan kandungan protein yang optimal.Kata kunci: Ibu Menyusui; ASI, Protein; Asupan Protein; Status Gizi ABSTRACT Title: Relationship Between Protein Intake, Nutritional Status of Breastfeeding Mothers and Protein Content in Breast Milk: Literature ReviewBackground: The content of human milk (ASI) that has an important function to preventing morbidity and mortality for infant is protein. Protein in human milk has many functions such as development, immunity, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-infective. The protein content in breast milk is influenced by several things, there are maternal protein intake and nutritional status of breastfeeding mothers. The source of protein consumed by breastfeeding mothers will be absorbed by the body and then flowed into the breast milk bag for further use in the formation of breast milk protein. Mothers who have good nutritional status will absorb protein intake better so that the protein content in breast milk are being optimal. The purpose of this literature study was to determine whether there was a relationship between protein intake, nutritional status of breastfeeding mothers and protein content in breast milk.Method: The type of research is a literature study because researcher using data sources from online databases, including SCOPUS, Science Direct, Google Scholar, Proquest, and the Garuda Portal which contains accredited national and international journals.Result: There are found 7389 articles based on keywords. The final results obtained 18 articles that meet the requirements for review. There are 9 articles related to protein intake of breastfeeding mothers on protein content of breast milk, 13 articles related to nutritional status of breastfeeding mothers on protein content of breast milk, and 4 articles regarding protein intake and nutritional status of breastfeeding mothers on protein content of breast milk.Conclusion: There are 4 out of a total of 9 articles stating a relationship between protein intake and protein content of breast milk. There are 8 out of 13 articles stating that there is a relationship between the nutritional status of breastfeeding mothers and the protein content of breast milk. There are 2 out of 4 articles stated that there was a relationship between protein intake of breastfeeding mothers and protein content in breast milk, and there was no relationship between nutritional status of breastfeeding mothers and protein content in breast milk. Protein intake has an indirect relationship to protein content in breast milk because the absorption of protein intake in the mother and protein production in breast milk is influenced by the nutritional status of the mother and hormones. The nutritional status of breastfeeding mothers has a direct relationship to the protein content of breast milk. Mothers who have good nutritional status will absorb protein from food optimally and will produce breast milk with optimal protein content.Keywords: Breastfeeding Mother; Human Milk; Protein; Protein Intake; Nutritional Status
