Abstract

Management of national borders has become one of the main agenda of the government. The government has the priority to develop Indonesia from the periphery by strengthening regions and villages within the framework of a unitary state. The threat of national sovereignty and security disturbances at the border becomes a crucial national issue. The purpose of this study is to design the development of potential areas owned by Natuna Regency. Based on the results of the location quotient analysis, the base sectors in Natuna Regency are the Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries sectors. The results of the Shift-Share analysis, there are five leading sectors, namely 1) Mining and Quarrying; 2) Processing Industry; 3) Construction; 4) Wholesale and Retail Trade, and Repair of Cars and Motorcycles; and 5) Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security. Based on the results of the Inverse Distance Weighted analysis, the pattern of regional development focuses on four growth poles locations, namely Ranai, Kelarik, Strait, Midai, and Serasan. As a district with a special military zone, the development of the Natuna Regency requires synchronization between the potential of the region's natural resources, the regional government, the national army, the private sector and the community.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) was a disease caused infection by dengue virus. It transmitted through the bite of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus. In 2015 according to Minister of Health Regulation No. 1501 / Menkes / Per / X / 2010 expressed as Extraordinary Events in Ngawi City. IR ( Incidence Rate) DBD District of Ngawi reached 59.9 per 100,000 population. Environmental and behavioral factors thought to be a risk factor for the cause of occurrence of dengue fever. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation of environmental factors and mosquito eradication practice with incidence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever ( DHF) in the District of Ngawi. This study was observational analytic methods and case control design. The Case in this study were patients who visit Ngawi’s health centers and Ngawi Purba’s health centers on January to December 2015 which amounted to 154 ( cases ) and then the communities around cases within ± 100m from home cases to be a control. Statistical analysis used chi square test with proportional stratified simple random sampling. The results showed there were association between the presence of breeding place (p=0,0001 OR=9,6), the presence of vegetation (p=0,002 OR=6,01), Container Index ( CI ) (p=0,0001 OR=16,5), the practice of 3M (p=0,0001 OR=6,03), and the use of mosquito nets (p=0,001 OR=0,031) with the incidence of DHF. Based on these results the health center of Ngawi City collaboration with Ngawi’s health center and Ngawi Purba’s health center increase program outreach to the community about the practice of mosquito nest eradication and the promotion of larva monitoring as a precaution occurrence of dengue fever.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the physical environment, the presence of breeding places, the behavior of using of insecticides with the incidence of dengue in the city of Semarang and to describe the espondents's stress level. This type of this research is an analytic observational with case control approach. Samples of this study are patients with DHF in March until May 2016 in  Semarang. The case group were 41 respondents and the control group were 41 respondents. Data analysis using chi square test and the magnitude of the risks by using odds ratios (OR). The results showed there are no relationship between the house temperature (p = 1,000 OR = 0,488), the house humidity (p = 0.440 OR = 0.5856), the existence of breeding places  (p=1,000 OR=1,000), and the behaviour of using insecticides (p = 0.258 OR = 1.860).

Abstract

One of the agricultural products in Munjul Village that has the potential to improve community welfare is cassava. These harvests have not been used optimally due to the lack of community knowledge in processing agricultural products. Therefore, we carry this out to the local community through socialization and assistance in the form of processing cassava into mocaf flour (Modified Cassava Flour). The implementation method that we use is to provide counseling, practice, and distribution of educational media in the form of a leaflet and BIMO-CF enzyme starter. This activity was warmly and enthusiastically welcomed by the participants and resulted in plans for further development of mocaf flour and processed products.
