Abstract

WHO announced a new outbreak disease, COVID-19, as a public health emergency that has plagued the world since January 30, 2020. Critical readiness and response are needed, such as equipping healthcare workers and facility management with important information, procedures, and tools to be safe and working effectively in responding to the outbreak. One of the critical hospital's services facilities is an isolation room/inpatient room. This room needs to be sterilized using a disinfectant regularly. The use of disinfectants, such as chemical fluids can only kill vegetative cells from microbes/viruses. Microbes/viruses, especially in the form of vegetative cells, could be killed by ultraviolet exposure. The objectives of this service program are: (1) Improving the cleanliness of hospital inpatient rooms so that they can be used immediately in treating patients (2) Speeding up the process of cleaning/sterilizing hospital inpatient rooms/isolation given the increasing number of patients in monitoring for covid-19 cases. The problem with inpatient sanitation/isolation in hospitals is usually many microbes in the indoor air. Clean and sterile inpatient/isolation rooms are needed in the patient's care. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the process of cleaning /sterilizing the inpatient room/isolation in the hospital by using UV exposure.

Abstract

Pangambatan Village, as part of the Lake Toba National Strategic Area and a tourist destination, still lacks facilities, infrastructure, and professional human resources to manage its cultural and tourism potential. An initial mapping of the conditions and potential of the area is needed to drive tourism in Pangambatan Village towards sustainable tourism. This can be done by mapping environmental conditions and tourism potential in Pangambatan Village, providing recommendations for sustainable tourism management, and providing environmental management facilities. The study was carried out using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology. UAV technology offers new opportunities for fast and efficient remote environmental monitoring and the collection of high spatial and temporal resolution data. The benefits of this mapping can be used to see environmental conditions and environmental pollution that may occur because of tourist activities. In addition, the use of this technology is expected to help related parties in making decisions and planning.

Abstract

Belawan II is located in Medan Belawan District – North Sumatra, which often experiences tidal floods. The low ground level, the use of pump wells as a source of clean water, the behavior of throwing garbage into the river and poor drainage conditions make tidal flooding uncontrollable, including in. The potential increase in the threat of tidal flooding in Belawan II has an impact on increasing the vulnerability of people's lives and livelihoods. But on the other hand, local leaders and communities accept tidal flooding as a natural phenomenon in coastal areas, so they do not consider this threat a disaster. Belawan II has never planned a disaster risk study to seek mitigation that is oriented towards increasing awareness and ability to deal with, reduce, and overcome the impact of tidal flooding. Reducing the risk of tidal flood threat problems in Belawan II is carried out with a community-based approach. The development of the resilient city program in Belawan II is a solution by facilitating increased knowledge, awareness, and ability of local communities. The activities include assessing, analyzing, handling, monitoring, evaluating, and reducing disaster risks in the Belawan II area.

Abstract

Nagari Magek Village in Agam Regency, West Sumatra, faces significant challenges in managing clean water resources. To address these challenges comprehensively, a holistic approach is essential, involving through area analysis, water treatment, and evaluation of distribution networks to ensure efficient and equitable water distribution. It is crucial to adhere to the principles of water resource conservation, utilization, and management as stipulated in Law Number 17 of 2019 on water resource management, which must be observed to ensure legal clarity in water management practices. The community service team handles clean water problems in Nagari Magek by designing a clean water treatment system that includes aeration, sedimentation, and filtration units. This process improves water quality by reducing yellowish color and eliminating unpleasant odors. However, the capacity of the treatment plant is not able to meet the increasing water demand, while the galvanized pipe distribution network has not been functioning optimally. Based on simulations using EPANET 2.2 software, it was found that the water flow speed in the pipes was still below the optimal range due to the diameter of the pipes being too large. The solution applied was to increase the processing discharge to 10 L/s (0,01 m3/s), which succeeded in increasing the flow rate according to the regulatory criteria. This recommendation improves the efficiency of the distribution system and ensures better water quality for the people in Nagari Magek.

Abstract

Community empowerment is very important in developing businesses to increase their income. In empowering the community, it needs to be motivated by conducting motivational training. The purpose of the Community Service activities carried out is to motivate the community, especially in increasing palm sap water processing business activities and increasing knowledge and business skills independently by utilizing natural resources in the village. The method of this activity is education and motivation in the form of material delivery and training in assisting the community to develop business. The results of the activity based on questionnaires, the participants were motivated and would participate in the development of the palm business according to their capacity, especially in processing palm sugar sap water into palm sugar processing business. It is expected that the implementation of this activity can improve the creative economy of the community.

Abstract

Penelitian memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar sekolah untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran bahasa Arab, Inggris, Melayu yang umum diajarkan di sekolah untuk peserta didik di Ma’had An Nikmah Al Islamiyah Phnom Penh Kamboja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, mengumpulkan data, dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran sekolah dengan kemampuan peserta didik yang berbeda-beda, juga menjadi faktor sulitnya guru untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran bahasa di Ma’had An-Nikmah Al-Islamiyah, dengan sistem belajar di sekolah yang masih menggunakan metode lama. Guru tetap berupaya semaksimal mungkin untuk terus memeberikan pembelajaran bahasa yang ada dalam mata pelajaran sekolah mereka dengan baik. Untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran guru setiap bulan melakukan pertemuan untuk meningkatkan program belajar mengajar.

Abstract

Peran wakaf untuk pendidikan tidak dapat terpisahkan dari sejarah peradaban Islam yang dibangun atas wakaf dasar. Dengan memanfaatkan property wakaf, maka didirikan lembaga yang bertanggung jawab atas pembuatan aturan dasar untuk konsep pendidikan di lingkungan desa. Persyaratan yang harus dipenuhi juga harus berdasarkan hukum islam yang hakiki. Literasi wakaf merupakan kemampuan seseorang dalam mengolah dan memahami informasi mengenai wakaf. Dalam memberikan literasi wakaf dapat dilakukan dengan cara sosialisasi terkait wakaf kepada masyarakat umum, serta dasar pendidikan dapat juga dijadikan sebagai acuan dalam pelaksanaan wakaf yang efektif dan efisien demi kemakmuran seluruh masyarakat desa suka rakyat
