Abstract

The main motive of a consumption is to obtain a utility/satisfaction. However, in Islam there are many rules of consumption that can be restrict for consumer’s freedom. The purpose of this article is to find out how Islam manages consumer and how a Muslim obtains maximum utility in his consumption. The method of this research is literature study by reviewing books, scientific journals, and articles from relevant official websites. The results of the research shows that Muslim consumer still gets maximum utility even though there are many rules that regulate him. Even, his maximum utility is not influenced by his financial capabilities.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are: (1) examine the impact of organizationalcommitment to job performance of faculty member in Surakarta; (2) examine the impact of Islamic work ethic to job performance; and (3) examine the moderation role of institutional-base on the impact of Islamic work ethic to job performance. The results show that organizational commitment and Islamic work ethic had significance effect to job performance, but institutional-based had no moderating role in the effect of Islamic work ethic to job performance

Abstract

Yayasan Li Ulil Albab is one of the foundations in Karanganyar Regency that keep growing and contribute in educating the nation's life as well as building the character of the next generation of intelligent, religious by managing. To be able to carry out this noble task, it is necessary to continuously improve the work ethic of teachers and employees as an important element in improving the quality and achievement of school. Based on these considerations, lectures, counseling and various activities for coaching in order to improve the work ethic of teachers and employees is important to do. This event is attended by 46 Teachers and School Workers under Yayasan Li Ulil Albab Karanganyar. The purpose of this activity is that the work ethic of teachers and employees of schools under Yayasan Li Ulil Albab Karanganyar can be improved, and maintained, so that teachers and employees will be motivated in working, discipline, always positively to the task and work and able to build good cooperation with fellow teachers and employees to realize the process of learning and teaching is good and able to produce graduates qualified and character. This activity is expected to provide benefits to various stakeholders of the school under Yayasan Li Ulil Albab Karanganyar, namely: First, for teachers and employees, this activity is useful to provide enlightenment and motivation so that it will increase the work ethic in carrying out its duties. Second, for the students, this activity will provide indirect benefits to the students, because with the work ethic of teachers and employees of high students will get a better service of teaching and learning process. Third, for the Yayasan Li Ulil Albab Karanganyar, this activity will provide indirect benefits on improving the quality of the institution because it is supported by teachers and employees who have a good work ethic. The result of this coaching activity is the increasing work ethic of teachers and school employees under Yayasan Li Ulil Albab Karanganyar with an indicator of increasing morale, and discipline of teachers and employees in teaching and providing services to students that impact on student's learning achievement.Keywords: work ethic, teacher discipline, service to students

Abstract

This study aims at analyzing and determining the influence of religious workethic on deviant behaviour and mediating the role of ethical atmosphere.Thestudy design is a corelational research. The variables of this research aredeviant behaviour as the dependent variable, religious work ethic as anindependent variable and ethical atmosphere as the mediating variable. Thepopulation in this study were employees of government offices, universities,hospitals and schools in the region of Surakarta. The samples of this study are100 people participant with convenience sampling techniques. The researchinstrument used is questionnaire. The analysis applied in this research is pathanalysis with multiple linear regressions. Theoretically, this study is expectedto provide benefits in developing a model that describes the concept of thereligious work ethic with deviant behaviors of human resources in anorganization. Practically, this study is expected to give benefits in decisionmakingby the head of the institution that is the object of this research. Theresults show that there is a negative and significant influence religious workethics and ethics atmosphere on deviant behaviour, there is a positive andsignificant influence religious work ethic on ethical atmosphere. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of work stress conflicts and organizational culture on employee performance. The first hypothesis examines whether conflicts have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The second hypothesis examines whether job stress has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The third hypothesis examines whether organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The population in this research is 475 employees at PT Duta Plast in Sukoharjo. This research is a census study using proportional random sampling technique. The sample used was 119 people by referring formula from arikunto because of the large population. Methods of data collection using questionnaires and documentation. Analyzer used in this research is multiple linear regression and absolute difference test. The results of the research instruments show that the overall variables of conflict, work stress, organizational culture and employee performance are valid and reliable. The results of the classical assumption test show that the free data multicollinearity, free autocorrelation, free heteroscedasticity and normal distributed data. The result of the research instrument test shows that work stress conflict, and organizational culture have a significant effect on the performance of PT Duta Plast in Sukoharjo.Keywords: Conflict, work stress, organizational culture, employee performance

Abstract

The aim of the study was to examine the quality of services provided by the Slamet Riyadi Surakarta University Library with the viewpoint of users (users / members) with the Quality Function Deployment method of the House of Quality matrix which is a top priority. The quality measured here is in 5 service mixes, namely tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy with the types of qualitative and quantitative data. The population in the study of active and registered students became members of the library from 2015 - 2018 which were taken to be used as samples and used purposive sampling and non probability sampling techniques. Instrument which is the priority of repairs with technical solutions according to the preparation of QFD methods sequentially starting from the main priorities, namely: neatness of the arrangement of the location of books, reading rooms, and interior design. This is indicated by the raw weight calculation contribution value and normalized raw weight which is used to show the amount of improvement in a criteria or customer need.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the model and characteristics of the queue system and analyze service optimization throught queue analysis in the employment service process at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Surakarta. The type of data used is quantitative data and qualitative data. Data sources used are primary data and secondary data. The population in this study were BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Surakarta customers who came and queued to get service. The sampling technique uses non probability sampling techniques by using paul leddy formula as manis as 100 customers. Data analysis technique use queuing model formula, software microsoft exel, sosftware SPSS 21, and software QM for windows. The results of the study show that the queuing model that is applied in the service process of document inspection and service stages uses the M/M/S model. Queue characteristic in the service process have a random arrival pattern and FIFO queue discipline so that customers who come first will be served first. The result of the analysis of the queuing system indicate that there is a nedd to add customer service to the first stage of service facilities namely the document checking stage because the results of the queuing system analysis result show a negative value while in the second stage of service proces namely the service stage shows that the services performed are optimal.

Abstract

ABSTRACTPoverty is a social problem that cannot be resolved by every country. Poverty is also the precursor to the emergence of other social problems related to the welfare of people's lives. The same thing happens in Indonesia, which is a developing country with a large population which of course cannot avoid the problem of poverty. Poverty in Indonesia also triggers conflicts in people's lives such as hunger and low levels of public health, low quality of human resources due to limited access to education, inadequate living and even the rise of crime, so that the high and low levels of poverty in a country greatly affect the level of welfare of life. public. Poverty is also a problem that will not escape the attention and discussion of Islamic religious teachings, because empirical facts show that there are many countries with high levels of poverty where the majority of the population is Muslim. Discussions about poverty are found in the Al-Quran, especially in the study of al-faqir and al-miskin which reconstructs theology in viewing poverty. So as to build mutual understanding and awareness that work ethic is also very important in alleviating poverty. This research was conducted to find out how efforts can be made to stage poverty based on Islamic law. The method used is descriptive qualitative by examining sources from books and journals.Keywords: poverty; social problems; staging povertyABSTRAKKemiskinan merupakan sebuah problematika sosial yang belum dapat dituntaskan oleh setiap negara. Kemiskinan juga merupakan cikal-bakal munculnya permasalahan sosial lainnya yang berkaitan dengan kesejahteraan kehidupan masyarakat. Sama halnya dengan yang terjadi di Indonesia, yang merupakan negara yang sedang berkembang dengan jumlah penduduk yang besar yang tentunya tidak dapat terhindar dari masalah kemiskinan. Kemiskinan di Indonesia juga memicu konflik-konflik dalam kehidupan masyarakat seperti kelaparan dan rendahnya tingkat kesehatan masyarakat, rendahnya kualitas sumber daya manusia karena keterbatasan akses pendidikan, kehidupan yang tidak layak bahkan maraknya kriminalitas, sehingga tinggi rendahnya jumlah kemiskinan suatu negara sangat sangat memengaruhi tingkat kesejahteraan kehidupan masyarakat. Kemiskinan juga merupakan sebuah problematika yang tidak akan luput dari perhatian dan pembahasan ajaran agama islam, karena fakta empiris menunjukkan bahwa banyak ditemukan negara-negara dengan tingkat kemiskinan tinggi yang mayoritas penduduknya adalah beragama islam. Pembahasan tentang kemiskinan terdapat dalam Al-Quran kususnya dalam kajian al-faqir dan al-miskin yang merekonstruksi teologi dalam memandang kemiskinan. Sehingga membangung pemahaman dan kesadaran bersama bahwa etos kerja juga merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam mementaskan kemiskinan yang terjadi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengatahuai bagaimana upaya-upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mementaskan suatu kemiskinan yang berdasarkan syariat islam. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualutatif deskriptif dengan mengkaji sumber-sember dari buku dan jurnal-jurnal.Kata Kunci: kemiskinan; permasalahan sosial; mementaskan kemiskinan.

Abstract

Risk is a certainty that cannot be trusted. Every risk inherent in life will be diverse and varied settlement solutions. Likewise in animal husbandry which is often a problem. Risk management on farms in the perspective of maqashid syariah is a must. Because animal husbandry is actually a profitable business but also a high potential risk. This study aims to describe risk management from the perspective of sharia maqashid which focuses on livestock business which is considered as an unstructured business and regulations that are the solution. This study used description analysis with library research method. The results showed that there are several risks to livestock, one of which is financial risk. In the concept of maqashid sharia, the main purpose of carrying out economic activities is not only limited to financial benefits but is benefit with the value of welfare and goodness of life. The concept of sharia maqashid also advocates an element of prudence in running a livestock business to avoid uncertainty. In this case, researchers found one of the regulations that is a solution to the financial risks in livestock businesses, namely sharia-based livestock insurance.
