Abstract

This study aimed to find out the mechanism of Direct Cash Assistance (BLT), the challenges and solutions faced, and the implementation of the social justice principle in the Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) in Bulakrejo Village, Sukoharjo Regency. A qualitative descriptive method was used to collect data through observation, interviews and documentation. The series of research activities were divided into three stages, namely research planning, research implementation, and research report. The results of this study showed that the mechanism of data collection for prospective Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) was carried out by the Sukoharjo Regency Social Service using the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) while the distribution mechanism was carried out at the post office by postal officers or at the Bulakrejo Village by the Kaur/Kasi. The obstacles in the distribution of Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) in Bulakrejo Village included the Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) acceptance was not on target, there were data errors in the form of National Identity Number (NIK), and difficulties in meeting prospective Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) recipients. The implementation of the Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) program in Bulakrejo Village requires follow-up efforts to realize the principle of Social Justice for All Indonesian People

Abstract

Wind energy extraction gains more attractiveness as the development of renewable energy progresses and the reduction of fossil fuel usage becomes imperative. Consequently, numerous efforts have been made to enhance turbine performance, such as with the Darrieus H-Rotor type, through numerical studies. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has become a prevalent tool for these studies, utilizing various approaches, including the eddy viscosity model based on the Boussinesq hypothesis, which underpins turbulence models. This research evaluates the performance of the Darrieus H-Rotor Wind Turbine via 2D CFD modeling using the Realizable k–ε turbulence model. The study also considers simulations with the Double Multiple Streamtube (DMST) model and other turbulence models applied to similar turbine geometries, with experimental data serving as validation benchmarks. Approximately 140,000 cells were utilized in the meshing process to balance simulation duration and the accuracy of the Cp value. The results indicate that the Realizable k–ε turbulence model performs satisfactorily, particularly in producing accurate Cp values in the pre-stall region. The comparison of average Cp values against experimental data across eight tip speed ratio points further supports the effectiveness of the Realizable k–ε turbulence model in simulating the aerodynamic performance of the Darrieus H-Rotor Wind Turbine. Nonetheless, the Realizable k–ε turbulence model fails to enable the Darrieus H-Rotor Wind Turbine to achieve positive Cm values across the entire azimuthal angle at lower tip speed ratios, thus not reaching effective self-starting conditions.

Abstract

Vegetasi riparian memiliki banyak peran penting, namun keberadaanya semakin berkurang akibat alih fungsi lahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbedaan struktur vegetasi riparian antara daerah binaan (Sangga Buana), daerah pemukiman dan daerah kebun campuran. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Lebak Bulus, Jakarta Selatan, dari Maret 2011 sampai dengan September 2011. Sebanyak 12 plot digunakan untuk melihat struktur vegetasi riparian. Penelitian tersebut menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 81 spesies dari 39 famili. Nilai Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) tertinggi di daerah kebun campuran adalah Gigantochloa apus (91,3%), di daerah perumahan adalah Pinus merkusii (61,8%), dan di daerah binaan adalah Gigantochloa apus (98,2%). Nilai Indeks Keanekaragaman (H’) menunjukkan sedang di daerah perumahan (H’=2,9), dan tinggi di daerah kebun campuran dan daerah binaan (H’=3,4). Nilai Indeks Kemerataan Jenis (E’) menunjukkan nilai sedang (0,6) di ketiga lokasi. Nilai Indeks Kesamaan Komunitas Sorensen menunjukkan rendah di daerah kebun campuran-perumahan (0,48) dan di daerah kebun campuran-binaan (0,39), namun nilainya agak tinggi di daerah perumahan-binaan (0,51). Profil vegetasi riparian ideal meiliki 3 zona. Hanya daerah binaan Sangga Buana yang memiliki zona ideal dengan lebar riparian mencapai100- 200 m. Daerah binaan memiliki jumlah spesies pohon terbanyak (21 jenis) dibanding kedua daerah penelitian lainnya (daerah perumahan 15 jenis dan daerah kebun campuran 13 jenis). Daerah binaan merupakan daerah riparian yang dapat dijadikan model untuk daerah konservasi riparian sungai dari segi lebar riparian dan spesies tumbuhannya.

Abstract

AbstractCucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) is a nutritious and healthy vegetable that is commonly consumed by Indonesian people. To fulfill self-sufficiency for household scale needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, cucumber cultivation can be carried out in home gardens, using containers such as polybags. Growing cucumbers on limited land requires a carefully optimized planting media composition by applying Effective Microorganism 4 (EM4) to the polybag media when planting. The research has been conducted which aims to determine the best EM4 dosage for the growth and productivity of cucumbers. The study used a Randomized Block Design consisting of control and three treatment doses of 10% concentration EM4, namely 20, 40, and 60 mL per polybag with six replications. The planting media used is a mixture of loam soil and goat manure. NPK fertilizer is given as an additional nutrient. The EM4 application is done by pouring it every eight days into the planting media in polybags. The results showed an increase in growth parameters and productivity of cucumber plants namely plant height, leaf chlorophyll content, time of flower emergence, number of flowers, and number of flowers that form fruit. 40 mL EM4 is the dose that showed the highest growth and productivity.AbstrakMentimun (Cucumis sativus L.) merupakan sayuran bergizi dan menyehatkan yang banyak dikonsumsi masyarakat Indonesia. Untuk memenuhi swasembada kebutuhan skala rumah tangga di masa pandemi COVID-19, budidaya mentimun dapat dilakukan di pekarangan rumah, dengan menggunakan wadah polybag. Menanam mentimun di lahan terbatas memerlukan optimalisasi komposisi media tanam secara cermat dengan menerapkan Effective Microorganism 4 (EM4) pada media dalam polybag. Telah dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui dosis EM4 terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan produktivitas tanaman mentimun. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang terdiri atas kontrol dan tiga perlakuan dosis EM4 konsentrasi 10% yaitu 20, 40, dan 60 mL per polybag dengan enam ulangan. Media tanam yang digunakan adalah campuran tanah lempung dan kotoran kambing. Pupuk NPK diberikan sebagai unsur hara tambahan. Penerapan EM4 dilakukan dengan cara disiram setiap delapan hari sekali ke dalam media tanam di polybag. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan parameter pertumbuhan dan produktivitas tanaman mentimun yaitu tinggi tanaman, kandungan klorofil daun, waktu munculnya bunga, jumlah bunga, dan jumlah bunga yang membentuk buah. Dosis yang menunjukkan pertumbuhan dan produktivitas tertinggi adalah 40 mL EM4.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui komposisi dan gulma yang dominan di piringan perkebunan kelapa sawit tanaman menghasilkan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di perkebunan kelapa sawit milik rakyat Dusun VII, Kecamatan Aek Songsongan, Kabupaten Asahan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis vegetasi petak kuadrat dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Jumlah plot keseluruhan sebanyak 8 plot. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 19 total gulma yang terdiri atas, gulma berdaun lebar dengan INP tertinggi terdapat pada Adiantum trepeziforme sebesar 31,95 %, gulma berdaun sempit dengan INP tertinggi terdapat pada Axonupus compressus sebesar 18,71 %, dan gulma teki-tekian dengan INP tertinggi terdapat pada Cyperus difformis sebesar 10,47 %.

Abstract

Peripheral nerve blocks are crucial regional anesthesia techniques, particularly for patients with cardiac dysfunction who are at high risk for general anesthesia. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of combining proximal sciatic nerve block and single-shot lumbar plexus block as an anesthetic method for above-knee amputation procedures in patients with compromised cardiac function. This combination technique seeks to provide optimal pain control while minimizing hemodynamic instability often associated with general anesthesia. This is a case report involving a patient with a history of cardiac disease undergoing above-knee lower limb amputation. The results indicate that the combined block technique provided adequate anesthesia throughout the procedure, maintained hemodynamic stability, and ensured faster and safer postoperative recovery. This approach is recommended as a safe and effective anesthetic alternative for high-risk patients with cardiac dysfunction.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kebutuhan guru, laboran dan peserta didik terhadap media infografis keselamatan laboratorium, serta menentukan karakteristik dan kelayakan media hasil pengembangan. Penelitian ini menerapkan Design Based Research (DBR) yang terdiri dari tahap (1) identifikasi masalah; (2) pengembangan desain; (3) siklus berulang; (4) refleksi. Analisis kebutuhan dilakukan pada 20 peserta didik, 5 laboran, dan 5 guru SMA di Kota Yogyakarta dan Kabupaten Bantul. Konten produk divalidasi oleh dosen jurusan kimia serta diujikan ke 10 reviewer dan 5 peer reviewer. Uji keterbacaan dilakukan terhadap 20 peserta didik SMA di Kabupaten Bantul. Hasil pengembangan diperoleh infografis yang memuat tentang keselamatan kerja di laboratorium dengan lima topik bahasan, yaitu aturan laboratorium kimia, kebakaran, bahan berbahaya dan beracun (B3), limbah B3, dan penanganan luka bakar. Karakteristik infografis tersebut diantaranya: 1) dibuat dengan jenis flat design; 2) mempunyai barcode untuk memuat materi lengkap; 3) disertai statistik dan persentase; 4) materi infografis berisi fakta, mitos, perbandingan, dan solusi alternatif. Kualitas infografis setelah direview tergolong kategori Sangat Baik (SB) dengan rerata skor 68,1 dan respon peserta didik tergolong kategori Sangat Baik (SB) dengan rerata skor 52,8.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the leading causes of premature death in Indonesia, with the number of cases continuing to increase annually. Low public knowledge and persistent belief in traditional medicine myths pose challenges in hypertension prevention and control efforts. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of health education through increased herbal concoction production in improving public knowledge, attitudes, and behavior regarding hypertension prevention. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a pre- and post-test plan without a control group. The study subjects were 40 residents of Banjar Seminari Village, Dayun District, Siak Regency, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The intervention was provided through health education and hands-on practice in making herbal concoctions. Data were collected using questionnaires before and after the intervention, then analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge (1.2 ± 0.6 to 4.6 ± 0.5; p < 0.001), attitude (2.1 ± 0.5 to 4.3 ± 0.4; p < 0.001), and behavior (1.5 ± 0.6 to 3.8 ± 0.7; p < 0.001). Therefore, interactive education-based health socialization through herbal concoctions has been proven effective in increasing understanding, forming positive attitudes, and encouraging hypertension prevention behavior in the community.
