Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan bagaimana framing media online lampost.co terhadap 10 berita yang diterbitkan selama periode Oktober – November 2024 terkait kasus pelecehan seksual terhadap anak dengan menggunakan model analisis framing Zhongdang Pan dan Gerald M.Kosicki. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini antara lain pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lampost.co membingkai isu kekerasan seksual dengan fokus utama pada aspek hukum, menggunakan tiga jenis koherensi. Sebagian besar narasumber yang dikutip berasal dari pihak kepolisian dan otoritas hukum, sementara perspektif korban dan konteks sosial yang lebih luas kurang mendapat perhatian. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa framing yang digunakan cenderung membentuk persepsi publik bahwa kekerasan seksual hanyalah persoalan individu dan kriminal, bukan bagian dari masalah sosial yang lebih luas

Abstract

This research explores the interpersonal communication experiences and social relationships formed through the use of online loan applications among residents of RT 05 Kelurahan Kelapa Tiga Permai, Bandar Lampung. The rapid growth of digital lending platforms, particularly in Lampung, has created new financial behaviors and communication patterns among users, especially in economically pressured communities. This study employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to deeply understand how borrowers interpret and experience their interactions before, during, and after using online loans. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation from selected informants, including key community figures, active borrowers, and individuals impacted by these financial practices. The findings reveal that online loans are not solely understood as financial tools but also as social phenomena embedded in daily interpersonal interactions. Social relationships play a critical role in shaping perceptions, building trust, and spreading both accurate and misleading information regarding the use of online loans. Peer influence, emotional support, and communal narratives significantly contribute to the decision-making process. Moreover, experiences shared among neighbors and family members often determine how the service is perceived either as a convenient solution or a trap with long-term consequences. The study concludes that online loan experiences are shaped not only by economic needs but also by cultural communication practices that construct meaning and influence behavior in a digitally connected society.

Abstract

Communication patterns refer to the form of relationships between two or more individuals in the process of sending and receiving messages, which are associated with two components: a framework or plan that includes the steps of an activity, and components that play an important role in establishing communication relationships between individuals or groups. The purpose of this research is to identify the managerial communication pattern within the existence of PT Radio Rajawali Terbang and to understand the condition of managerial communication led by a single leader who must manage three regions in Lampung Province, namely Bandar Lampung City, Metro City, and Kotabumi, North Lampung. As a result, several branches have experienced a decline in work effectiveness, a lack of program innovation, and limited cross-location collaboration. This research used a qualitative method, aiming to explore, collect, and analyze information in depth. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The validity test in this study employed triangulation, specifically technique triangulation and source triangulation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of communication management in overcoming communication barriers experienced by Javanese transmigrants in destination areas, particularly in Lampung Province. The identified barriers are multidimensional, including language differences, cultural gaps, limited access to information, and psychological factors. These barriers have the potential to hinder social integration and the success of the transmigration program if not managed systematically. The research employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method to explore the subjective experiences of transmigrants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, and then analyzed using thematic techniques. The findings reveal that communication management, which includes planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling stages, effectively reduces communication barriers. Strategies applied involve designing messages based on local wisdom, forming social groups as interaction media, implementing participatory communication through village forums and digital platforms, and controlling through monitoring and evaluation. These strategies positively impact increased transmigrant participation, reduced social conflicts, strengthened economic cooperation, and improved self-confidence among transmigrants. This study contributes scientifically to the development of communication for development and intercultural communication, offering a communication management model based on local wisdom that can be adapted to other transmigration areas. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for policymakers and communication practitioners in designing inclusive and sustainable communication strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the social construction of the Bakung TPA community towards non-formal education organized by the Jendela Lampung Community (KJL). The intended social construction is how they view the importance of non-formal education and how this can contribute to improving their quality of life based on the theory adapted by Peter L. Berger through three stages: externalization, objectivation, and internalization. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. This study uses purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques with several informants consisting of the coordinator and founder of the Jendela Lampung Community, parents and children who are active and inactive, and village officials. The results of the study show that the idea of non-formal education, which was initially a community initiative, developed into an activity that was accepted and supported by the wider community, including parents, community leaders, and the village government. Non-formal education was then internalized as an important need that complements formal education, especially in increasing learning interests and academic and social abilities of children in the environment, especially those who lack access to education. The implications of social identity theory and symbolic interactionism are also evident in the process of identity formation as a solid learning community. This research provides recommendations for the government, society, and future researchers to continue developing and supporting non-formal education as an inclusive and sustainable alternative and complement to formal education.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the social media management techniques used by @demarapictures to attract consumer interest in the digital era. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach focusing on promotional activities and digital communication through the Instagram platform. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with photographers and editors involved in content management, direct observation of the photo and video production and editing processes, as well as documentation of internal communication in the form of digital messages and work notes. The data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns, techniques, and challenges encountered in building audience engagement. The expected results of this study are aligned with its objectives, namely to identify and analyze the social media management techniques applied by the @demarapictures account to attract consumer interest. This research is expected to uncover content techniques, types of media used, posting frequency, and effective ways of interacting with followers to increase engagement, followers, and consumer purchase interest. In addition, the study aims to determine the most influential techniques in capturing consumer attention and to provide recommendations for optimal social media management so that @demarapictures can maximize the potential of social media as a promotional and communication tool with its target market.

Abstract

Media sosial telah menciptakan ruang interaktif baru yang memungkinkan terbentuknya komunitas virtual yang melampaui batas geografis, dengan ikatan yang dibangun melalui kesamaan minat, nilai, dan tujuan. Dinamika komunitas virtual menunjukkan bahwa pola komunikasi dan struktur percakapan merupakan faktor penting dalam memperkuat rasa memiliki dan kohesi sosial di ranah digital. Namun demikian, kajian mengenai peran media sosial dalam membangun komunitas virtual pada konteks lokal, khususnya pada Payungi Kampung Kreatif, masih tergolong terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran media sosial dalam membangun dan memperkuat komunitas virtual Payungi Kampung Kreatif di Kota Metro, sekaligus menelaah sejauh mana media sosial mampu menumbuhkan kebersamaan, memfasilitasi pertukaran gagasan, dan mendorong kolaborasi antaranggota komunitas. Media sosial, khususnya Instagram, telah menjadi salah satu platform yang paling populer karena kemudahan dan fleksibilitasnya dalam menyajikan pesan melalui teks, gambar, dan video. Saat ini, Instagram tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai platform berbagi foto, tetapi juga telah berkembang menjadi alat komunikasi visual yang membentuk pola interaksi pengguna melalui fitur-fitur seperti feed, story, reel, dan siaran langsung. Melalui fitur-fitur tersebut, pengguna dapat membangun komunikasi yang lebih personal dan emosional sehingga membentuk gaya komunikasi yang khas. Gaya komunikasi, yang merujuk pada cara individu menyampaikan pesan dan mengekspresikan diri, memiliki peran strategis dalam membangun citra diri sekaligus meningkatkan keterlibatan audiens. Gaya komunikasi yang efektif mampu menarik perhatian, memperkuat ikatan emosional, dan mendorong interaksi yang lebih intens. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Validitas data diuji melalui triangulasi, member check, serta penggunaan dokumen pendukung. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis gaya komunikasi pimpinan dalam penyelesaian konflik internal di Slara Komputer Bandar Lampung. Konflik internal umumnya muncul antara tim pengembang dan pihak manajemen terkait pengambilan keputusan strategis serta penerapan teknologi baru, yang berdampak pada produktivitas, kualitas kerja, dan hubungan profesional. Laporan selama tiga tahun terakhir menunjukkan adanya peningkatan konflik antar divisi yang menimbulkan tantangan signifikan bagi manajemen. Hambatan utama dalam penyelesaian konflik meliputi komunikasi yang tidak efektif, kurangnya umpan balik yang konstruktif, serta prosedur penyelesaian konflik yang tidak jelas, sehingga menurunkan moral karyawan dan memengaruhi iklim kerja serta inovasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap karyawan yang terlibat langsung dalam konflik maupun dalam proses penyelesaiannya. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengelompokkan, mendeskripsikan, dan menarik kesimpulan dari pola-pola gaya komunikasi pimpinan yang ditemukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pimpinan menerapkan gaya komunikasi yang terbuka, persuasif, dan kolaboratif. Dalam kondisi kerja normal, komunikasi berlangsung secara santai namun tetap tegas, sehingga menciptakan suasana kerja yang nyaman dan mendorong karyawan untuk menyampaikan pendapat. Pada saat terjadi konflik, pimpinan menyesuaikan gaya komunikasinya menjadi lebih berfokus pada pemecahan masalah, seperti pembagian tugas, tekanan kerja, dan miskomunikasi. Pimpinan secara aktif mendengarkan, memberikan kesempatan kepada karyawan untuk menyampaikan pandangan, serta menekankan prinsip musyawarah. Gaya komunikasi ini terbukti efektif dalam meredakan konflik, menjaga keharmonisan hubungan kerja, serta memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap motivasi, kenyamanan, dan kinerja karyawan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis efektivitas strategi fear appeal dalam pemasaran produk cat di PT Jotun Indonesia. Persaingan yang semakin pesat dalam industri cat menuntut perusahaan untuk menjadi lebih kreatif dalam mengelola promosi guna meningkatkan volume penjualan dan loyalitas pelanggan. Penggunaan desain pesan fear appeal, yang memanfaatkan unsur rasa takut untuk menciptakan rasa urgensi, dianggap mampu menarik perhatian konsumen dan mendorong keputusan pembelian. Namun, penerapan strategi ini dalam industri cat, khususnya dalam konteks budaya Indonesia, masih jarang diteliti, karena penelitian sebelumnya lebih banyak berfokus pada produk kesehatan atau asuransi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini penting untuk memahami dampak fear appeal terhadap perilaku konsumen serta mengoptimalkan strategi komunikasi pemasaran produk cat di pasar Indonesia.
