Abstract

This study is conducted because water quality is a crucial factor in the sustainability of marine and brackish aquaculture, which faces various environmental challenges and the need for increased production. The main objective of this research is to map and review the latest technological innovations used for water quality management in such aquaculture, particularly in the period 2022–2025. The method used is a scoping review of scientific literature discussing sensor-based technologies, biofilters, and integrated water management systems. The study results indicate that these innovations are effective in reducing water pollution, enhancing fish health, and strengthening the resilience of aquatic ecosystems. Furthermore, the application of these technologies significantly contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goals SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG 14 (Life Below Water). The conclusion of this study emphasizes that widespread adoption of water quality management technologies is crucial to expanding and successfully sustaining aquaculture. Thus, these innovative technologies not only support sustainable fishery production but also preserve the aquatic environment, which is the foundation of marine life and the coastal community's economy.

Abstract

Mangroves play a dual important role in sustainable development, serving as blue carbon storage and supporting food security through fisheries support. Research on the contribution of mangroves to climate change mitigation and food security is increasingly relevant in the pursuit of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 2 (Zero Hunger). This study aims to synthesize the latest research results from 2022–2025 related to mangrove ecosystem services, particularly in supporting carbon sequestration and fisheries productivity. The method used is a systematic review of relevant national and international scientific publications during that period. The results of the study show that mangrove conservation and restoration significantly enhance carbon sequestration capacity in coastal areas while improving fish catches. This contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and increases the income and food availability of coastal communities. However, policy integration linking climate and food agendas remains limited and requires further attention. In conclusion, integrated mangrove management will strengthen the contribution of mangroves to achieving SDG 13 and SDG 2, necessitating synergy between sectors in formulating policies based on scientific evidence.

Abstract

This study investigates the factors influencing employee performance at PT. Indolakto Pandaan, East Java, by examining work motivation and job satisfaction as independent variables and work discipline as a mediating variable. Employing a quantitative research design, data were collected via a survey involving 183 respondents selected through saturated sampling techniques. The questionnaire utilized a five-point Likert scale, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results reveal that both work motivation and job satisfaction significantly affect work discipline, which in turn mediates their impact on employee performance. Additionally, motivation and satisfaction exert direct effects on performance. Optimizing these factors, motivation, satisfaction, and discipline, can enhance workforce effectiveness. The findings offer valuable practical implications for PT. Indolakto Pandaan and similar organizations in formulating human resource management strategies aimed at improving employee performance.
