Abstract

Abstract

The era of the internet of things (IoT) changes activities to digital or referred to as digitization. The convenience offered by digitization has an impact on the convenience of daily activities such as administrative activities, also referred to as administrative digitization. However, there are several exchanges of this administrative data as well as opening up opportunities for digital crimes in the form of theft of personal data in the digital space. Law No. 27 concerning Personal Data Protection is necessary to address the rampant data leakage. This regulation, which has not been ratified for a month, has not yet received public attention. In fact, public attention to this regulation is needed considering that personal data crimes continue to occur. Based on this need for expansion of attention, the service team conducted a socialization of understanding of the Personal Data Protection Law on the internet. The counselling was conducted in Baros Village, Baros District, Serang Regency by involving local communities that use social media for their daily activities. The socialization activity was carried out with a series of activities in the form of a pre-test, a presentation lecture, and an evaluation in the form of a post-test distribution. The results showed that the socialization increased participants' understanding of the importance of personal data protection and the important contents of the Personal Data Protection Law.

Abstract

In the 21st century there are still many cases of violation of children's rights which are quite concerning. Apart from economic demands, this problem arises due to the lack of knowledge about children's rights. Yet these rights are protected both nationally and internationally. Not to mention the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which consist of 17 global goals that also encourage the fulfillment of children's rights. Therefore counseling on children's rights that is carried out at the Yayasan Al Kamilah is one of the means to prepare children to know their rights. So that in the end they are able to implement these rights in various fields. In addition, an understanding of children's rights within the framework of the SDGs is also expected to be able to protect oneself well from various threats of violations of children's rights, such as violence and exploitation.

Abstract

Indonesia, being the top global CPO producer, makes CPO as one of their national interest due to the great contribution of CPO to Indonesia’s economics as well as to their citizens. This brings Indonesia to utilize regional forums, viz. Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), in order to build Indonesia’s CPO image and also to gain from tariff reductionto 5% or less through the Environmental Goods (EGs) intiative in 2012. Lack of success in Indonesia’s diplomacy in the EGs initiative have failed its goal to have CPO included in the EGs list. Hence, in 2013 Indonesia managed to shift its strategy by initiating the Development Products which also have CPO included in the products list Indonesia proposed. Up until 2017, no decisions and deals were made among the APEC countries regarding Indonesia’s Development Products initiative. This research aims to analyze the negotiations process which Indonesia had done through EGs to Development Products using the qualitative research approach. This research finds that the result of this negotiation is the result of the power structure between Indonesia and their opponents during the negotiation of both EGs and Development Products.

Abstract

Indonesia suffered losses in the electronics sector due to excessive imports of mobile phone products from China and entered easily through the ASEAN-China Free Trade Area agreement throughout 2018-2021. The government makes efforts internally and externally by implementing the Program for Increasing the Use of Domestic Products (P3DN), implementing efforts to use the Indonesian National Standard (SNI), registration. International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI), implementing the Prohibition and Restriction of Goods (LARTAS), and entering into agreements with foreign electronics companies namely Huawei, Lenovo and ZTE Cooperation to improve the quality of Indonesian mobile phones. The government also plays an important role as a forum for foreign companies that want to build their factories and invest in Indonesian electronic products in order to advance Indonesian technology so that they can compete with other electronic products in the free market around the world, both with fellow ASEAN members and with China itself.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a country with abundant natural resources, faces serious challenges related to the use of non-renewable natural resources such as petroleum. Negative environmental impacts and the risk of depletion of these resources have triggered the need for a transition to renewable energy. We use an inductive qualitative method through document research as data collection. Given the International Energy Agency's (IEA) role in supporting national energy sustainability and reviewing Indonesia's energy policies, a pertinent question arises regarding its role in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the concrete role of the International Energy Agency (IEA) in supporting the sustainability of renewable energy supply in Indonesia with reference to SDG 7. This study finds that the role of the IEA in striving for a renewable energy transition in Indonesia centres on providing analysis of the potential and challenges as well as policy recommendations to direct the government in developing strategies for implementing renewable energy. The IEA also facilitates international cooperation, technology transfer, and investment in the renewable energy sector. Indonesia is committed to achieving the targets of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7, which focuses on universal access to affordable, clean, and sustainable energy. Cooperation with the IEA will continue to be key in achieving this goal, especially to achieve the net-zero emissions target by 2060 and ensure the availability of a sustainable renewable energy supply.

Abstract

Digital transformation is one of the priority programs during Joko Widodo's administration. Digital transformation brings the government bureaucratic governance system into the e-government era. This digital transformation in the bureaucratic sector makes public services easier and is a means of data transparency. The digitalization of bureaucracy also facilitates government performance in certain fields, especially administration. However, bureaucratic digitalization efforts are faced with challenges in the form of data breach crimes. As a result, there are still doubts in society regarding the bureaucratic digitalization system. Socialization regarding understanding the PDP Law is an effort contributed by educational staff which aims to spread awareness about the law itself and the importance of maintaining the security of personal data. The aim is to increase people's caution in handing over their personal data in the digital realm. This socialization was carried out in Serua Village, Depok City involving members of the Healthy Village Working Group. The results of the outreach activities showed an increase in participants' understanding and awareness of the benefits of the PDP Law and the importance of protecting personal data. After receiving socialization, the participants became knowledgeable about what features are useful for protecting their data on their respective devices. Apart from that, participants also viewed that the PDP Law could protect their personal data because the law reflected law enforcement efforts for people's personal data.

Abstract

This activity aims to explain and disseminate the consequences and circulation of illegal narcotics circulation and the role of youth. This activity also explains the factors that cause massive illegal narcotics trafficking in Indonesia. This activity was carried out at the Cilandak Branch of the Aisyah Orphanage Foundation in South Jakarta from May to November 2019. This activity took the form of socialization and discussion with the orphanage children and orphanage administrators. This activity involves lecturers and practitioners. This research describes the consequences of narcotics' excessive trafficking from various scientific perspectives such as social, political, legal, cultural, and economic. The result obtained is that children from orphanages are vulnerable to illegal drug trafficking. Life experience before entering an orphanage is a vulnerability for them to be contaminated. Thus, the researchers provided the orphanage children with the knowledge and formed a unit of anti-narcotics officers who functioned as informants in the event of irregularities in the illegal distribution of narcotics. Hopefully, this program can be expanded and increase the knowledge of many people so that narcotics will no longer threaten Indonesian society's stability and security.

Abstract

In dealing with the conflict in Papua, the Indonesian government has made various efforts, one of which is changing the status of the Free Papua Organization (OPM) which was originally defined as an armed criminal group, then changed to a terrorist group. The focus of this research is the change in the status of the OPM to the terrorist organization. This research is analytical with an explanatory approach that explains the reasons behind the policy taken by the Indonesian government to change the status of OPM to a terrorist organization. In collecting data to build arguments in this study using a literature study approach, where data is obtained from various literature sources such as books, journals, documents or reports, and also from internet sources that are considered relevant. The findings of this study can be illustrated that the Indonesian government's policy to change the status of the OPM to a terrorist organization has been motivated by several reasons, including: OPM has met the definitive requirements as a terrorist; expanding the space for the Indonesian government to deal with the OPM, including facilitating the tracking and blocking of funding for the OPM movement; To gain legitimacy from any efforts or steps taken to confront OPM; Using the "war on terror" norm to reduce the perception of human rights violations committed by the Indonesian government.
