Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan harapan orang tua siswa yang menyekolahkan anaknya di SDSN dan SD Eks RSBI. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian komparasi. Populasi penelitian adalah orang tua siswa kelas I SDSN dan SD eks RSBI di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY). Sampel 322 orang tua siswa SDSN dan 226 orang tua siswa SD eks RSBI ditentukan dengan cluster random sampling technique. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa kuesioner harapan orang tua siswa. Instrumen penelitian dikembangkan berdasarkan enam kategori fungsi sekolah yaitu: (1) fungsi mengembangkan kecerdasan pikiran dan memberikan pengetahuan, (2) fungsi spesialisasi, (3) fungsi efisiensi, (4) fungsi sosialisasi, (5) fungsi konservasi, dan (6) fungsi transisi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik non-parametric, dengan menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan antara harapan orang tua siswa SDSN dan SD eks RSBI di DIY. Hasil analisis uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,666 yang berarti bahwa hipotesis Ho diterima. Artinya, harapan orang tua siswa SDSN dan SD eks RSBI mengenai fungsi sekolah di DIY adalah sama. Secara keseluruhan baik orang tua siswa SDSN maupun orang tua siswa SD eks RSBI mengharapkan sekolah yang mereka pilih untuk anaknya bisa melaksanakan fungsinya dengan baik. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ A COMPARATIVE STUDY ON THE EXPECTATION OF THE PARENTS OF STUDENTS OF SDSN AND EX-RSBI SD IN YOGYAKARTA SPECIAL TERRITORY ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the differences in the expectations of parents who send their children to SDSN and SD Ex RSBI. This study uses the quantitative approach to the type of compa-rative research. The study population was parents of the students of elementary school class I SDSN and ex RSBI in Yogyakarta Special Territoy (YST). A sample of 322 SDSN students’ parents and 226 Ex RSBI SD students’ parents was established using the cluster random sampling technique. The research instrument used was in the form of a questionnaire on the expectations of the students’ parents. The research instrument was developed based on six categories of school functions, namely:(1) function of developing intelligence of the mind and providing knowledge, (2) specialization function, (3) efficiency function, (4) socialization function, (5) conservation function, and (6) transi-tion function. The data were collected using a questionaire with Likert scale and analyzed using the non-parametric statistics of Mann-Whitney test. Based on the results, it can be concluded that there is no difference between the expectations of parents of the students of SDSN and that of ex-RSBI in YST. The results of the Mann-Whitney test analysis showed a significance value of 0.666 which means that the hypothesis H0 is accepted. This means that the expectations of the parents of SDSN students and that of the parents of Ex-RSBI SD students in terms functions in YST are the same. Overall both SDSN students’ parents and ex-RSBI SD students’ parents expect that the schools they choose for their children to carry out their functions properly.Keywords: expectation, parent, SDSN, SD eks RSBI.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengevaluasi ketercapaian program pendidikan karakter pada tingkat sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Kulon Progo, (2) memberikan rekomendasi baik kepada guru, sekolah, maupun pemerintah untuk perbaikan program pendidikan karakter. Jenis penelitian adalah evaluasi program (evaluasi formatif) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian meliputi: (1) empat sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Kulon Progo, yaitu SDN 4 Wates, SDN 6 Bendungan, SDN Kriyan, dan SDN Selo; (2) Pengawas SD Kecamatan Kokap dan Pengawas SD Kecamatan Wates; dan (3) Di-nas Pendidikan Kulon Progo. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis data Milles Huberman meliputi: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) kesiapan sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Kulon Progo untuk mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter baik, dinilai dari kurikulum yang telah terintegrasi pendidikan karakter, namun masih kurang dalam hal pengelolaan sarana prasarana pendukung dan banyak guru memerlukan lebih banyak pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang pendidikan karakter; (2) implementasi pendidikan karakter belum tampak pada kegiatan pembelajaran; (3) dukungan dari pemerintah dalam sosialisasi atau pelatihan dirasa masih kurang oleh sekolah; (4) monitoring dan evaluasi pendidikan karakter masih terbatas pada kurikulum dan dilakukan melalui pembinaan pengawas di setiap sekolah; dan (5) kendala yang umum dihadapi sekolah adalah penilaian sikap siswa yang belum terdokumentasi, kurangnya pemahaman guru untuk mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter, dan tidak adanya sinergi antara pendidikan di sekolah dengan pendidikan di rumah.A PROGRAM EVALUATION OF CHARACTER EDUCATION IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OF KULON PROGO REGENCYABSTRACTThis study aims to: (1) evaluate the progress of character education program in the elementary schools in Kulon Progo Regency, and (2) give recommendation to teachers, schools, and the government about the character education program’s improvement. This research used a program evaluation of Scriven’s formative evaluation model with the qualitative approach. The research subjects comprised: (1) four elementary schools in Kulon Progo, i.e. SDN 4 Wates, SDN 6 Bendungan, SDN Kriyan, and SDN Selo, (2) elementary school’s superintendents of Wates and Kokap, and (3) the education department of Kulon Progo. This research used the qualitative data analysis from Miles Huberman, consisting of data reduction, data display, and verification. The conclusions of this study are that: (1) the readiness of school for implementing character education is good, assessed from their curriculum integrated with character education, but still not good enough in terms of facility management, and the number of teachers in need of more knowledge and skills about character education; (2) the implementation of character education does not happen yet in the classroom learning activities; (3) the sample schools consider that the support from the government is insufficient especially for character education training; (4) the monitoring and evaluation of character education are still limited to the curriculum and done by the school’s superintendents; and (5) the constraints at character education are undocumented students’s behavior assessment, lack of teacher’s understanding to implement the character education, and there is no synergy between education at school and education at home.Keywords: program evaluation, character education, elementary school

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) pemahaman guru tentang KTSP, (2) kemampuan guru mengimplementasikan KTSP, dan (3) ketersediaan faktor penunjang dan faktor penghambat pelaksanaan KTSP pada sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Detukeli. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian populasi, sehingga semua guru yang menerapkan KTSP menjadi subjek penelitian. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru SD di Kecamatan Detukeli yang berjumlah 116 guru. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian evaluasi diskrepansi, yang datanya dikumpulkan menggunakan angket. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa pemahaman guru tentang KTSP pada sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Detukeli, Kabupaten Ende masih rendah, dengan skor rata-rata tingkat pemahaman 2,462 (dalam skala lima). Kemampuan guru mengimplementasikan KTSP yang terdiri dari: kemampuan dalam penyusunan silabus dan RPP masih rendah dengan skor rata-rata tingkat kemampuan 2,374. Kemampuan dalam pelaksanaan pem-belajaran masih rendah, dengan skor rata-rata tingkat kemampuan 2,374. Kemampuan melaksanakan evaluasi kegiatan pembelajaran masih rendah, dengan skor rata-rata tingkat kemampuan 2,440. Ketersediaan faktor penunjang pelaksanaan KTSP sangat kurang. Kata kunci: guru, KTSP, implementasi, diskrepansi.

Abstract

The School Literacy Movement program launched by the government has not yet been to be implemented optimally. One of the factors that influence it is related to the leader"”in this case, the principal. Therefore, this study aims to identifying the traits and skills of effective leadership in the success of literacy programs in schools. This research employed a qualitative case study research. Questionnaires and interviews were done to collect data. Respondents of this study were teachers who were members of the professional education program in positions at Yogyakarta State University in 2023. This study employed interactive analysis techniques for its data analysis. This study shows that the traits and skills of effective leadership for the success of literacy programs in elementary schools are personality, motivation, and skills, respectively.
