Abstract

This research is based on the problem of gaps in teacher distribution in Wajo Regency, there are schools that have an excessive number of teachers, but there are also schools that experience a shortage of teachers in several areas of Wajo Regency. The aim of this research is to analyze the condition of teacher equality in terms of recruitment, placement and distribution of teachers in Wajo Regency, the factors causing teacher inequality and the efforts made by the regional government to overcome this problem. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection methods are interviews, observation and document study. Data sources were obtained from the Head of the Wajo Regency Cultural Education Service, the Secretary of the Wajo Regency Education and Culture Service, the Chair of the Wajo Regency PGRI, school supervisors and school principals from Tempe District, Bola District and Gilireng District. The research results found that the condition of equal distribution of teachers in Wajo Regency still needs attention. It was found that several schools still lacked teachers and there were still many teachers who did not meet the specified qualifications. This is based on the geographical conditions and inadequate school infrastructure, especially schools in rural areas.  The Wajo Regency Government continues to make efforts optimizing the distribution of teachers so that there is no longer a gap in teachers within a school. This will certainly have a big influence on educational progress in Wajo Regency.

Abstract

Implementing E-Rapor (Electronic Report) in education has become an exciting research topic that has captured the attention of numerous researchers. Based on the findings of a literature review, E-Rapor aims to bring benefits and positive impacts to the field of education, promoting its growth in the current digital era. However, researchers have also noted several limitations in using the E-Rapor-based information system, including difficulties in its application for information processing, competence planning, and data management. This research seeks to analyze gaps in the learning outcomes achieved by students when the E-Report application system is implemented compared to traditional or manual assessment methods. The data collection method employed in this study is a literature review, which involves gathering secondary data from various reputable sources. As for the research instrument used, the researchers have formulated five research questions that serve as valuable guides throughout the data collection process. The results of the discussion show that E-Reports are useful for regularly assessing student abilities by educators and school employees, allowing quick intervention when necessary, and increasing overall educational efficiency. Due to this, the author recommends further research to understand the impact of using E-Reports on learning outcomes and educational management to be comprehensive.

Abstract

Contract cheating is a serious problem faced by universities today that must be prevented immediately. This academic crime is mostly committed during the final project by students so so that each campus must have a clear policy to overcome this problem. After implementing the policy, it is necessary to conduct an evaluation to see whether the policy needs to be continued or not. The research design used is mixed methods, with a goal-oriented evaluation model. Quantitative data collection techniques were carried out by conducting surveys to alumni and qualitative data collection techniques used were interviews and documentation studies.  The evaluation results show that this policy has a positive impact in reducing and preventing the practice of contract cheating in students' final projects. This result is also supported by campus assertiveness towards staff involved in this fraudulent practice.

Abstract

This study examines strategies employed by high schools in Tarakan City to prepare for accreditation and ensure quality standards. A qualitative approach was adopted, involving seven key informants: accreditation coordinators from SMA Negeri 4 Tarakan City, SMK Negeri 4 Tarakan, and SMA NU 1 Tarakan City; two assessors from BAN-S/M North Kalimantan Province; the chair of BAN-S/M North Kalimantan Province; and a representative from the Education and Culture Office of North Kalimantan Province. Data were collected through interviews and document analysis and processed using an interactive model comprising data collection, condensation, display, and conclusion drawing. The study identified three key strategies: (1) forming an accreditation team to coordinate efforts, (2) managing data and information systematically, and (3) maintaining adequate facilities and infrastructure. These strategies underscore the importance of comprehensive preparation before accreditation assessments. The findings highlight the critical role of government support, team coordination, and infrastructure adequacy in addressing accreditation challenges. However, external factors such as geographical conditions, community involvement, and policy effectiveness were not explored, presenting a limitation. This study provides actionable insights for improving school accreditation processes and ensuring sustainable quality assurance. Future research should consider external and environmental factors to develop more comprehensive strategies.

Abstract

Fee-free education has become crucial to global efforts to achieve the Education for All (EFA) goals. This policy has been implemented in Indonesia through various programs, including the School Operational Assistance (BOS) and Indonesia Smart Program (PIP), to support underprivileged families. However, there still needs to be more funding that parents must cover to support their children's education. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of fee-free education in Bantul District, Yogyakarta, and explore the financial needs that parents still have to meet. The research employs a qualitative method with an exploratory, descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews with parents, school principals, and teachers in 16 elementary schools in Bantul. The results indicate that the funds provided by the government through BOS and PIP are insufficient to cover the full education costs, particularly for students with special needs. Parents still face additional fees, such as uniforms, books, and transportation. In conclusion, while the fee-free education policy is in place, increased funding allocation is necessary to ensure that all children, especially those from disadvantaged families, can access quality education without financial burdens.
