Abstract

This research is based on the problem of gaps in teacher distribution in Wajo Regency, there are schools that have an excessive number of teachers, but there are also schools that experience a shortage of teachers in several areas of Wajo Regency. The aim of this research is to analyze the condition of teacher equality in terms of recruitment, placement and distribution of teachers in Wajo Regency, the factors causing teacher inequality and the efforts made by the regional government to overcome this problem. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection methods are interviews, observation and document study. Data sources were obtained from the Head of the Wajo Regency Cultural Education Service, the Secretary of the Wajo Regency Education and Culture Service, the Chair of the Wajo Regency PGRI, school supervisors and school principals from Tempe District, Bola District and Gilireng District. The research results found that the condition of equal distribution of teachers in Wajo Regency still needs attention. It was found that several schools still lacked teachers and there were still many teachers who did not meet the specified qualifications. This is based on the geographical conditions and inadequate school infrastructure, especially schools in rural areas.  The Wajo Regency Government continues to make efforts optimizing the distribution of teachers so that there is no longer a gap in teachers within a school. This will certainly have a big influence on educational progress in Wajo Regency.

Abstract

Implementing E-Rapor (Electronic Report) in education has become an exciting research topic that has captured the attention of numerous researchers. Based on the findings of a literature review, E-Rapor aims to bring benefits and positive impacts to the field of education, promoting its growth in the current digital era. However, researchers have also noted several limitations in using the E-Rapor-based information system, including difficulties in its application for information processing, competence planning, and data management. This research seeks to analyze gaps in the learning outcomes achieved by students when the E-Report application system is implemented compared to traditional or manual assessment methods. The data collection method employed in this study is a literature review, which involves gathering secondary data from various reputable sources. As for the research instrument used, the researchers have formulated five research questions that serve as valuable guides throughout the data collection process. The results of the discussion show that E-Reports are useful for regularly assessing student abilities by educators and school employees, allowing quick intervention when necessary, and increasing overall educational efficiency. Due to this, the author recommends further research to understand the impact of using E-Reports on learning outcomes and educational management to be comprehensive.

Abstract

Contract cheating is a serious problem faced by universities today that must be prevented immediately. This academic crime is mostly committed during the final project by students so so that each campus must have a clear policy to overcome this problem. After implementing the policy, it is necessary to conduct an evaluation to see whether the policy needs to be continued or not. The research design used is mixed methods, with a goal-oriented evaluation model. Quantitative data collection techniques were carried out by conducting surveys to alumni and qualitative data collection techniques used were interviews and documentation studies.  The evaluation results show that this policy has a positive impact in reducing and preventing the practice of contract cheating in students' final projects. This result is also supported by campus assertiveness towards staff involved in this fraudulent practice.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to describe the role of university students in improving the quality of technology-based education in elementary schools through the kampus mengajar program. This qualitative research employed a phenomenological approach and was conducted in three partner schools located in Ngaglik, Sleman, Yogyakarta: SDN Ngebelgede II, SDN Brengosan II, and SDN Clumprit. Research subjects included Kampus Mengajar students, principals, mentor teachers, and field supervisors (DPL). Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles & Huberman interactive model. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. Findings show that the roles of kampus mengajar students fall into three key aspects: as educators and facilitators of technology-based learning, administrative assistants, and technology literacy instructors for teachers. Students contributed to improving students’ literacy and numeracy using tools such as animated videos, canva, and the AKM assessment. They also supported administrative tasks, including grade processing, formatting documents, and developing school media. Teacher technology literacy training was implemented at SDN Clumprit through the use of moodle, as part of the broader effort to support digital transformation in elementary education.

Abstract

This study is aimed at exploring and describing the factors discouraging Laos students from schooling at a secondary school in various contexts such as  classroom and school, individual student, family, and community contexts. Descriptive qualitative approach was used, and the framework of the study was formulated around the aspects of school and classroom situation, principal's management process, teachers' teaching organization and performance, parents' involvement and perception, and community's involvement and perception. The data were collected through observation, document analysis, and interview from 10 students, six teachers, one principal, one vice principal at Phonsyneua Junior Secondary School, and seven parents whose children were studying at this school. The finding shows that among the factors involved in students' schooling at secondary school, several factors discourage them. The teachers' performances were not perfect yet and some students' competency was not qualified enough. The students' parents were not highly committed and involved in their children's schooling. The community had little trust in schooling since they perceived that schooling costs a lot of money. To improve these discouraging factors, several actions should be taken into consideration. The principal should ask all the teachers to communicate the vision and missions to the students, or the vision and mission should be published and socialized in the school. The observations on teachers' instruction should be done by both the principal and senior teachers.
