Abstract

A work accident is an unexpected event or event that can cause harm to the work process, causing human and property casualties. Therefore prevention must be carried out by reducing hazard factors that lead to accidents, taking into account unsafe action, unsafe conditions, and safety management: system, the worker's mental condition, and the worker's physical condition. The method in this research is descriptive-analytic with a cross-sectional design. We took a sample of 45 respondents. The sampling technique is the total population. We performed a logistic regression test using the Stata 14 application in this study. Results study could concluded there is a significant relationship between the use of PPE ( P-value = 0.001 , OR = 14.14, CI = 2.86 – 60.21 ) and unsafe acts (P-value = 0.015, OR = 5.5, CI = 1.39 – 21.71) with work accidents in the District Johan the Hero of West Aceh Regency in 2022.  We suggest that welding workshop owners provide protective equipment for their workers to create comfort, work safety, and reduce potential hazards while working. We also recommend using n methods to increase self-confidence so that you can focus and be careful when welding.

Abstract

The achievement of pregnant women implementing DDHB in North Sumatra province in 2023 was 37.37%, not yet reaching the target of 95% and North Sumatra is the province with the lowest achievement in Indonesia in 2020-2022. The aim of the research is to provide an overview of the implementation of the DDHB program for pregnant women using CIPP theory. The research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach and evaluative design. The informants consisted of a key informant, namely PJ hepatitis, 2 main informants, namely hepatitis staff and a supporting informant, namely the head of the P2PM section. PThere is an aspect of the context of not achieving the target of pregnant women implementing DDHB due to the impact of previous Covid-19, pregnant women doing many visits 1 at health facilities such as clinics which do not report to the health service, and Padang Sidempuan, West Nias and Nias Regencies do not carry out DDHB . In the input aspect, budget shortages cause limitations in carrying out interventions. In the process aspect, there was a delay in reporting by districts/cities due to the inability to use the Sihepi application so it was done manually. In the product aspect, pregnant women implementing DDHB did not reach the target, namely 37.37%, with the 2023 RENSTRA target of 95%, and districts/cities implementing DDHB did not reach the target, namely 93.93%, with the 2023 RENSTRA target of 100%, and the achievement of Hepatitis B reactive pregnant women in 2023 is 0.83, indicating a decrease from the previous year of 1.1%. ImplementationDDHB for pregnant women in North Sumatra Province has not gone well. So that it is necessary to carry out in-depth advocacy, outreach, surveys and interventions with all parties involved such as pregnant women, health workers in health facilities, and district/city health offices, and increase cross-sector collaboration.

Abstract

Hearing loss is one of the health problems that risks reducing worker productivity. Someone who suffers from hearing loss, not only can be seen from several things such as difficulty speaking, but also can be seen from the physiological condition of the worker himself. Hearing loss can be caused by several factors including noise intensity, compliance with the use of personal protective equipment. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of SOP compliance in the use of PPE and noise intensity on hearing complaints in production workers at PT Beurata Subur Persada. This type of research is quantitative with a cross sectional design. The research location was at PT Beurata Subur Persada. The population in the study were all workers in the production department as many as 96 workers and a sample of 49 workers. Data were analyzed with the chi square statistical test. Results: based on the results of the analysis that has been done, there is a relationship between noise intensity with subjective hearing complaints (pvalue = 0.027) and there is a relationship between SOP compliance with subjective hearing complaints (pvalue = 0.000). It is recommended that companies establish hearing conservation programs and audiometric tests for workers to prevent deafness and complaints of hearing loss due to noise exposure.

Abstract
