Abstract

This study analyzes the value addition of soybean processing into tempe in Guntung Paikat, South Banjarbaru District, Banjarbaru City, using a case study of Mr. Suparji’s enterprise. The objective of the research was to determine output value, input value, labor utilization (measured in workdays), and to identify challenges encountered in tempe production related to value addition. A quantitative method with a case study approach was employed, conducted from March to June 2025, involving two respondents: the owner and his son as a worker. Data were analyzed descriptively, and value addition was calculated using the Hayami method. Results show that tempe production was carried out through simple processes including sorting, washing, soaking, peeling, boiling, inoculation with yeast, wrapping, and fermentation. The value addition, defined as the difference between output value, other input contributions, and input costs, was IDR 20,133 per kilogram, with a ratio of 71.90%. This high ratio indicates strong economic feasibility, as it exceeds the 40% threshold.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of price and product quality on consumer purchasing decisions for local rice, utilizing a case study approach and multiple linear regression analysis. The objectives are to determine (1) the partial impact of price and product quality, (2) the extent of their individual influence, and (3) the combined effect of these variables. The findings reveal that both price and product quality significantly and positively affect consumers’ decision-making, both when evaluated independently and jointly. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.375, indicating that 37.5% of the variation in consumer decisions can be explained by the combined influence of price and product quality. This highlights the relevance of economic and qualitative factors in shaping consumer behavior, suggesting that improvements in either attribute could enhance market competitiveness for local rice. Overall, the results emphasize the strategic importance of understanding and leveraging pricing and product standards in agricultural marketing efforts.

Abstract

This study was conducted over one year of production in 2024 to evaluate the feasibility of a layer chicken farming enterprise. The research employed a survey method with a case study approach, supported by descriptive and financial analyses. The financial assessment utilized the Revenue-Cost (R/C) Ratio to determine total costs, revenues, profits, and overall business viability. Results revealed that the enterprise incurred a total annual cost of IDR. 193,466,071, while generating revenues of IDR. 225,900,000. Consequently, the net profit amounted to IDR. 32,433,929 per year. The calculated R/C Ratio was 1.16, exceeding the threshold of 1.0, which indicates that the business is financially feasible and profitable. These findings suggest that the enterprise can be sustained and potentially expanded, as the profitability ratio demonstrates economic viability. The study contributes to the understanding of financial performance in layer chicken farming and provides a reference for similar agribusiness ventures.

Abstract

This study investigates the technical and economic aspects of Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) production at CV. Banua Sejahtera Lestari in Danau Karya Village. Using a case study approach, the analysis covers production methods, cost structure, profitability, and operational challenges. PGPR production follows strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), utilizing laboratory-grade equipment in hygienic conditions under supervision by qualified personnel. Each cycle spans 15 days and is repeated twice monthly, yielding 200 liters per cycle. The production cost per cycle is IDR 2,600,000, while revenue reaches IDR 4,000,000, resulting in a net profit of IDR 1,400,000. The Return Cost Ratio (RCR) of 1.53 indicates economic feasibility and a favorable return on investment. Challenges include maintaining consistent product quality and managing production risks. Overall, PGPR production at CV. Banua Sejahtera Lestari demonstrates strong potential for sustainable agribusiness development in Barito Kuala Regency.

Abstract

This study evaluates the financial performance of Ciherang rice farming using certified and non-certified seeds in Ulu Benteng, Marabahan Subdistrict. Cultivation follows standard agronomic practices such as seedbed preparation, planting (tegel system), fertilization, and harvesting. Certified seed farming incurs explicit and implicit costs of IDR 4,924,024 and IDR 4,221,471 respectively, yielding revenue of IDR 15,026,477, with income of IDR 10,102,465 and profit of IDR 5,880,976. In contrast, non-certified seed farming incurs slightly lower costs (IDR 4,567,240 and IDR 4,098,846), but generates lower revenue (IDR 12,577,846), income (IDR 7,748,308), and profit (IDR 3,911,760). The profit gap of IDR 1,969,216 confirms that certified seeds deliver better financial outcomes, supporting their use to enhance farm profitability and sustainability.
