Abstract

This research is originated from the current efficiency level of product distribution in PT. X which is considered low. This motivates the company to consider other transportation to distribute their products, which is train. PT. X sees train as a new opportunity as now there is double track in the system. On the other hand, train tends to have cheaper delivery costs than truck as the delivery distance increase. Method used to analyze the efficiency of both transportations is simulation. Observation has been made and the results shows that 50,55% of delivery route in Java and 77,97% of delivery route from Java to Sumatera can be replaced by train. Improvement and solution has also been proposed as a support for train distribution system so that the increase of overall efficiency can be achieved. The analyze of the system improvement shows result that the use of two point railway stations will reduce overall cost by 4,70%, while the use of three point railway stations will save overall costs by 5,02%.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the location of potential aid depot at the time of the annual flood disasters in Gresik Regency. Determination of the location of potential aid depot is applied using mathematical models and involving BPBD of East Java and BPBD Gresik. Linear programming is applied and solved using solver excel software. The constraint of this mathematical model made are time constraint, the number of vehicles, dan the amount of potential aid depot. The function of the purpose of mathematical model is abaout handling maximize the number of victims dan minimized the total time of delivery relief. The result of research shows that to determine the location of potential assistance or post depot influenced by some obstacle that is the time constraint, the number of vehicles, and the objective function.

Abstract

PT XYZ is having difficulty in giving the exact completion time. Sales department always says that the order will be finished in eleven working days. Because the promised processing time always constant, 22.27% of the orders between June 2014 and November 2014 are late. Therefore, the aim of this research is to produce a system for production planning and inventory control, so that the company can estimate completion time accurately. The improvement is the company must estimating completion time before determining processing time in the sales order. Therefore, a detailed production schedule that can be accessed by sales department is needed. Scheduling is created by using the first come first served method, and paying attention to the raw materials availability. The lot size for ordering raw materials is determined by using fixed order quantity method. Production report is created more detail by reporting the actual production daily. The implementation of the improvements can reduce order fulfillment delays, because the processing time in sales order is determined by considering the remaining capacity. The scheduling is made based on the actual condition, therefore can be used to estimate the remaining capacity. The production report can also be used to check whether an order is produced according to the schedule or not.

Abstract

Production scheduling in a manufacturing company is an important point to control the production process movements. PT. XYZ doesn’t have a scheduling system which fit for their daily production process. This research intends to make a production scheduling system which fit for PT. XYZ. Production scheduling is useful for minimizing delays in delivery as a result of delays in the production process. Scheduling method used in this study is earliest due date method. Earliest due date method is chosen in aim to minimize the maximum tardiness which happened in a project. Scheduling system was made starting from the making of the schedule up to controlling process of the schedule.

Abstract

This study was conducted to give the proposed model of humanitarian logistics coordination for the handling of natural disasters in Indonesia by involving the private sector. The private sector, involved in disaster management, is DHL. The analysis techniques used are the competitive profile matrix to evaluate the performance of each agency involved and RASIC analysis to determine the role of each institution in each activity. The results showed that the private sector is still less involved in Indonesia’s disaster management and the role of some institutions in some activity is still not quite right. DHL is proposed to be involved because it has sufficient capacity to be involved in disaster management. Activities that can be roled by DHL are involving in the delivery and distribution of relief and to help receive relief from foreign parties. Activities that need to be changed is the provision of funds, the making standardization relief, and assessment.

Abstract

PT. Asri Indah adalah sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang produksi bahan bangunan gypsum. Setiap lis gypsum yang diproduksi memiliki jenis dan ukuran yang berbeda sehingga mengalami kesulitan dalam menentukan harga pokok produksinya (HPP). Pada bagian produksi juga memiliki masalah yaitu seringnya terjadi kesalahan dalam pertukaran data yang berujung pada miskomunikasi antara produksi dan gudang bahan baku dan kesalahan dalam penjadwalan produksi. Pembuatan laporan yang dibutuhkan perusahaan juga masih dilakukan secara manual. Oleh karena itu, berdasarkan masalah yang dipaparkan di atas, maka dibutuhkan sebuah sistem informasi (SI) yang mampu mengolah data-data dari proses produksi menjadi informasi berupa penentuan harga pokok produksi, penjadwalan produksi dan laporan yang dibutuhkan oleh perusahaan PT. Asri Indah Surabaya.Sistem ini akan dibuat berbasis website menggunakan bahasa pemrograman HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX serta menggunakan database MySQL. Sistem Informasi akan dibagi menjadi 5 hak akses yaitu Admin, Produksi, Gudang Bahan Baku, Gudang Barang Jadi, dan Pimpinan. Masing- Masing hak akses akan memiliki fitur sesuai kebutuhannya.Realisasi sistem ini menyimpulkan bahwa harga pokok produksi pada PT. Asri Indah dapat terhitung secara otomatis dan sudah terbukti melalui perbandingan pehitungan manual dan sistem, penjadwalan produksi secara FIFO dapat dilakukan secara otomatis, laporan yang dibutuhkan oleh perusahaan dapat terpenuhi, sehingga mempermudah perusahaan dalam melihat informasi produksi. dan berdasarkan hasil kuesioner yang dibagikan, untuk tampilan aplikasi 80% responden memberi nilai baik dan 20% responden memberi nilai sangat baik, untuk kemudahan memahami aplikasi 60% responden memberi nilai baik, 20% responden memberi nilai sangat baik dan 20% responden memberi nilai cukup, untuk menjawab kebutuhan 100%  responden memberi nilai baik, dan untuk keseluruhan aplikasi 100% responden memberi nilai baik.

Abstract

PT. X is a distributor of spare parts with 128 customers for Surabaya City and Sidoarjo City. Number of delivery vehicles owned by PT. X is 15. Determination of delivery route owned by PT. X is completed manually based on driver experience. This research is to make a model of determining the route with minimum cost by considering the travel time and the capacity of the vehicle. Model formation is accomplished in accordance with the PT X policy that each colleague can only be served by one vehicle and the maximum shipping time of 7 hours. The model formed is Heterogeneous Fleet Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows (HFVRPWTW). The settlement method used is Evolutionary Algorithm (EA) by reviewing 3 cases. The number of vehicles decreased by the model is  with an average difference of 1.67 vehicles. The shipping cost generated by the model is lower than the company for case 1 of 3,155 IDR and case 2 of 25,005 IDR. This condition indicates the model will use less number of vehicles with low shipping costs and large container utilities in 2 cases.

Abstract

PT X adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dalam perakitan industri sepeda. Perusahaan saat ini mampu menawarkan lead time pemenuhan pesanan yakni sepanjang tiga sampai empat bulan. Lead time ini lebih panjang dibandingkan dengan pesaingnya yang mampu menawarkan lead time sepanjang dua hingga tiga bulan. Hal ini menunjukkan lead time di PT X berpontensi untuk dioptimalkan. Permasalahan panjangnya lead time PT X tersebut diperparah dengan adanya keterkaitan antar departemen yang menyebabkan permasalahan menjadi rumit dan sulit diketahui akar permasalahannya. Akar permasalah yang sulit diketahui tersebut dapat dianalisis dengan metode DEMATEL. Metode DEMATEL mampu menganalisis hubungan antar faktor sehingga dapat diketahui faktor utama dari permasalahan. Metode DEMATEL dilengkapi dengan menggunakan influential relation map. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi faktor lain adalah “komponen tidak lengkap atau tidak kompatibel”, “Bill of Material kurang lengkap (kuantitas atau kompatibilitas) mengakibatkan komponen kurang sehingga produksi shutdown”, “tidak ada standar waktu pengerjaan development, tidak adanya sampling ulang untuk komponen yang disubstitusi”. Faktor utama penyebab lead time yang paling besar pengaruhnya terhadap faktor lain adalah tidak adanya standar waktu pengerjaan development.

Abstract

PT Bina Megah Indowood (BMI) is a company that provides high quality solid wood floors, with a choice of thicknesses to meet various needs. PT. BMI itself has several warehouse divisions with different functions. However, with such a large warehouse area, the obstacles often experienced by companies are still minimal use of information technology, such as for example manual data processing, and errors in recording, and as a result the recording process by PPIC is disrupted and the company's business processes are a little late.With this background, it will be done to find a solution by designing an inventory information system at PT. Bina Megah Indowood. With the application of information technology, it is hoped that PT Bina Megah Indowood can correct errors that often occur in the field, shorten existing data processing, so as to improve labor efficiency and minimize data input errors that occur in the field.The test results on the manufacture of the Inventory Control and Monitoring system at PT. Bina Megah Indowood show that the system can perform data calculations correctly. So that the data obtained can meet precise and controlled calculations and can reduce errors that occur in the field. Testing for reports from inventory control is also successful, as evidenced by the resulting reports that can calculate all the stock owned by each warehouse properly and accurately. This is useful so that the company will no longer have trouble seeing and monitoring the stock they have.
