Abstract

PT X is agro industry that engaged in animal feed. This research is shown to help the correction of plant audit invention in PT X with guidance of ISO 22000:2005. The correction of plant audit invention is especially for warehouse department. The result of plant audit invention that founded in warehouse department is ten results in total. Correction of plant audit invention is done by obrserving and doing interview to related parties. Correction is done through SOP replacement, procedure addition, cleaniness, checklist creaction, and suitable right place transfer.

Abstract

PT. X is a company which produces packaged drinking water. The company was established in June 2005. Production of cup was conducted in June 2006 and gallon in July 2006. Distributions of product are using pickup, truck and fuso. Company has thirty four pickups, nine trucks and one fuso. Company finds that delivery order does not exceed demand and distribution capacity. Products that can’t be sent indicate the need to reduce loading time so the amount of not delivered product can be reduced. PROMODEL 10 is used to solve the problem. Adding one capacity powered belt conveyor has the lowest investment cost and saves Rp 3.545.000,00 per month for ten years. This proposal reduces average loading time by 0,77 minute (3%). Adding two capacity powered belt conveyor reduces average loading time 5,96 minute (20%). The investment cost of this proposal is Rp 625.000,00 per month for ten years. Adding electric hand pallet and powered belt conveyor (two capacity) reduce average loading time 10,31 minute (34%). The investment cost of this proposal is Rp 4.862.500,00 per month for ten years.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengurangi biaya peralatan pemindahan material (MHE) yang dimiliki oleh PT. Trias Sentosa yang mencapai 4.3 milyar per tahunnya. Salah satu peralatan pemindahan material yang perlu diefisiensikan adalah forklift. Forklift yang dimiliki PT. Trias Sentosa saat ini berjumlah 20 buah tetapi 5 buah forklift tersebut tidak perlu untuk disimulasikan karena rusak atau sudah memiliki tugas yang spesifik. Efisiensi ini menggunakan simulasi dengan program ProModel. Hasil simulasi diubah menjadi Pareto Chart dan akan dicari lokasi dan forklift yang paling bermasalah. Lokasi yang perlu diefisiensikan berdasarkan Pareto Chart adalah gudang bahan baku dan gudang barang jadi sedangkan untuk forklift adalah forklift baterai. Solusi yang paling optimal dari simulasi ini adalah mengurangi 4 buah forklift baterai, menambahkan 1 buah forklift disel dan menugaskan 1 forklift disel ke gudang packaging. Solusi tersebut dapat mengurangi biaya sebesar Rp. 100.799.879,08.

Abstract

PT. X is a company engaged in the cigarette industry in Indonesia. This research was conducted at PT. X and focuses on the Secondary Processing department. Secondary Processing Department produces cigaretterod to become a shipping case. During the process, Secondary Processing Department always produces tax stamp waste and claimable waste, and sometimes this waste exceeds the target company. Improvements need to be done within this company so that the tax stamp waste and claimable waste can be reduced and not exceed the target. The improvement and data processing used in this research is using DMAIC. DMAIC assists this research by finding the root cause and making improvements to the root causes that have been discovered. The tool used to assist in finding the root of the problem is fish bone diagram. The fish bone diagram helps this research in order to fix the problem down to its roots so that the possibility of such problems may occur again are smaller. The result of all improvements that already done can reduce tax stamp waste and claimable waste to be below the target.

Abstract

PT.X is a company that working on Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) section. This company has more than 100 selling area that located in all over Indonesia. There are various selling system or distribution system in this company and one of them is Pre Order system (PO). The vehicle types that used for delivery on this system are blind van, Colt Diesel Engkel (CDE), and Cold Diesel Double (CDD). The purpose of this research is to discovered route optimitation so it can shows how many vehicles are needed for the delivery. It also can decrease the operational cost for the delivery. This route optimitation simulation is based on the existing route but it had been optimized with arranging the delivery using the Nearest Neighbor Insertion (NNI) concept where the delivery route will be using the shortest route. This PO delivery system also using the combination of Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows (VRPTW), Vehicle Routing Problem with Heterogenouse Fleet of Vehicle (VRPHFV), and Vehicle Routing Problme with Multiple Trips (VRPMT).The result of this simulation is the total number of vehicles that can be decreased in one week are 34 unit. In Bogor, Ciracas and Pulo Gadung, 1 unit of vehicle can be removed for Senin until Thursday (1*4*3=12). In Sunter, there are 3 unit of vehicles that can be removed for Monday until Thursday (3*4) and lastly in Tangerang there are 2 unit of vehicles that can be removed for Monday untul Friday (2*5=10). The distances that should be taken are decreased from 9,604 km to 8,028 km with total duration 1372,01 hours when it actually should be taking 1484,3 hours. The reducing of distance and time become a great additional benefit for the company because the company can save more fuel that can also reduce the polution of CO2. For the saving of the cost in this simulation is from Rp. 948,017,052.66 become Rp.797,589,503.62.

Abstract

Inventory is the thing to consider in ordering. Inventories have a variety of properties, one of which is a level of decline. Many researchers have done research on multi-item inventory but not with inventory are deteriorating and assume constant demand. The real condition that occurs today is that the company sells multi-item inventory in the presence of stochastic deterioration and demand. The situation is approached by building a model of inventory simulation using real data in Pin'kan Bakery. The simulation model is done with the help of monte carlod simulation and evolutionary algorithm. This study will compare two ordering modes, namely continuous review and periodic review. The results show that the continuous review method is an appropriate ordering method for multi-item inventory ordering with stochastic degrees and demand.

Abstract

PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) is an automotive company in Indonesia that operates as a manufacturer and exporter of Toyota products and spare parts. One of TMMIN’s export activity is Component Part Order (CPO). CPO handling is done using the help of the system, but the current system has problems, which is the occurrence of system errors. The current system is also not able to display tracking order visualization so there is often a process delay occurs in handling CPO. Analysis of the cause of process delay is done using Toyota Business Practice (TBP) and Ishikawa Diagram. Improvements made is to design a new system so that system error problems that occur in the old system can be eliminated. The system is also designed to have an order tracking function so that every process of CPO handling can be recorded in the system. Improvements to deal with CPO operational issues are also designed in the system. Goals of this improvement is to achieve a smooth and on time CPO handling. Another expected advantage of this improvement is the saving of 2244 hours / year of work time required to solve the problem.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find the root of problem by using CP8211 natural color product as research object. The problem was identified with using lean manufacturing philosophy concept. The 5 Whys Analysis technique is used to identify existing problems. An outline lateness can occur due to two things, namely problems in scheduling and problems in the stamping process itself. Scheduling problems, whether errors in the determination of dates or errors in determining the length of processing time, can occur due to inaccuracy of operator scheduling PT. X itself. Processing problems can occur because the machine's working efficiency does not match the minimum engine capacity of 80%. Inefficient (under 80%) machines can occur due to several factors. The inefficient causes of the engine are identified by using the Cause and Effect Diagram. The results of this study indicate that the factors causing lateness that occur due to scheduling errors in the process of up-down stamping and engine damage are suspected due to engine age of more than 10 years. The solution provided for the scheduling problem is the scheduling operator of PT. X must be more careful in recording data that has been scheduled in order to avoid misunderstandings. The solution for machine efficiency is PT. X can replace parts of the machine that often damage with a new or replace the old machine with a new one. The new machine still uses the same workings as the old machine, which involves human labor to operate it.

Abstract

In meeting market demands and competition, many companies focus their attention by making various efforts to market their products, gain the largest market share, and increase company profits by improving, improving, or developing the systems they have. Companies with fast distribution, such as the retail business sector, need adequate warehouse facilities so that the needs of consumers or stores can be met optimally. PT. Clandys is a company engaged in the retail of baby and household equipment. The main problems that exist at PT. Clandys are the warehouse system that is still poorly coordinated and the inventory checking that still uses the manual system. With the problems in the PT. Clandys warehouse, a good warehouse system. is needed. The warehouse system that has been created can connect the central warehouse and branch warehouses to each other, provide notifications, as well as automatic matching for goods receipt transactions and stock taking. In addition, a warehouse system was also created to develop other transactions in the PT. Clandys warehouse. Other transactions at PT. Clandys such as mutations, returns, and pre-orders of goods can be coordinated between warehouses and the warehouse system  created.

Abstract

This final project is done to design a Production Planning and Inventory Control system (PPIC) system for Bed Sheet X company. Currently, Bed Sheet X company does not have yet a PPIC system. Company is produced the products only to fulfill their maximum stock.  The design of the PPIC system in this final project includes forecasting, designing Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Material Requirment Planning (MRP), and calculating lot sizing. Some forecast methods are compared in term of  Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) value. The Winter's Multiplicative method is the best method for each type of fabric. The Winter’s Multiplicative MAD value is 71.875. The lot sizing method used is Wagner Whitin Algorithm (WWA). The total cost of raw materials’ procurement is Rp. 34,968,493. After designing the PPIC system, a Visual Basic Application (VBA) is made to make it easier for users to do a production planning.
