Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using the reasoning and problem solving model in learning poetry writing skills for class VIII students at SMPN 12 Bandung. Lack of mastery in writing ideas and messages in poetry is often encountered, while writing poetry is one of the writing skills that students are interested in. The research method used was a quantitative experiment, involving an experimental class and a control class. The data obtained from the pretest and posttest results of both classes were processed using descriptive statistics. The analysis results showed that the experimental class, which received learning using the reasoning and problem solving model, had a minimum pretest score of 28 and a maximum posttest score of 92. While the control class had a minimum pretest value of 24 and a maximum posttest value of 72. The average value of the experimental class was 68, while the control class was 42.13. From the results of the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, it was found that in the experimental class there was 1 student who experienced a decrease in learning outcomes, 28 students experienced an increase, and 1 student who had the same score on the pretest and posttest. Whereas in the control class, there were 4 students who experienced a decrease in learning outcomes, 17 students experienced an increase, and 9 students who had the same score on the pretest and posttest. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that learning using the reasoning and problem solving model can effectively improve the ability to write poetry of class VIII students at SMPN 12 Bandung. This contributes to the strengthening of the Pancasila learner profile.

Abstract

The low ability of students in receptive language is because, in the online learning process, students tend to use gadgets more to play than to study. This research aims to develop teaching materials and learning media for Android-based receptive language skills using smart apps creator application technology for Indonesian Language and Literature education students. This research belongs to the type of development research which was developed using the 4D model. The subjects involved in this research were learning media experts and Indonesian language and literature study program students. Data collection in the study was carried out using trial methods, tests, observations, questionnaires, and validation, with research instruments in the form of media validation sheets and tests of receptive language skills. The data obtained in the study were then analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques and processed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The data analysis showed that the media validity test results were 83, which was feasible. The average student attitude observation results were 3.74, which was in the very valid category, and the product implementation results showed 98.7% of students agreed with the display presentation, ease of understanding of the material, and the attractiveness of the design used. Based on these results, teaching materials and learning media for Android-based receptive language skills with the Smart Apps Creator application technology are in the valid category and feasible to develop in the learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini  bertujuan untuk menganalisis konteks sosial tokoh dalam novel Pada Sebuah Kapal karya Nh. Dini yang kemudian dimanfaatkan sebagai alternatif bahan ajar bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dengan menjabarkan  data yang telah diperoleh secara rinci. Metode penelitian tersebut dipilih untuk menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan, di antaranya: 1) Bagaimana konteks sosial tokoh dan  penokohan  yang terdapat dalam novel Pada Sebuah Kapal karya Nh. Dini ditinjau dari analisis wacana kritis; 2) Bagaimana makna kritik sosial pada novel Pada Sebuah Kapal karya Nh. Dini dilihat dari konteks sosial tokoh dan penokohan berdasarkan analisis wacana kritis; 3)  Apakah novel Pada Sebuah Kapal karya Nh. Dini dapat digunakan  sebagai alternatif bahan ajar LKPD bahasa Indonesia di SMA kelas XII.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel tersebut mempresentasikan konteks sosial tokoh dilihat dari peristiwa, latar, situasi dan kondisinya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut kemudian dijadikan sebagai alternatif bahan ajar bahasa Indonesia kelas XII SMA berupa LKPD yang diseseuaikan dengan kompetensi dasar 3.8  yaitu Menafsir pandangan pengarang terhadap kehidupan dalam novel yang dibaca.Kata kunci: analisis wacana kritis, konteks sosial, novel, bahan ajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur kepribadian tokoh, psikologi pengarang, unsur penokohan, unsur ekstrinsik, sampai kepada relevasinya sebagai alternatif bahan ajar apresiasi sastra pada novel Temukan Aku dalam Istikharahmu karya Adi Rustandi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan psikologi sastra, penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pada penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, hasil dari data berupa kata-kata dan dideskripsikan secara teliti dan analisis. Sumber data pada penelitian ini ialah novel Temukan aku dalam Istikharahmu karya Adi Rustandi, wawancara dengan penulis, beberapa buku sumber, jurnal terkait, dan penelitian terdahulu. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah studi kepustakaan, studi dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini berupa struktur kepribadian tokoh dalam novel Temukan Aku dalam Istikharahmu dengan jumlah Id, Ego, dan Superego, unsur psikologi pengarang pada saat menulis karyanya, unsur penokohan berupa protagonis, antagonis, dan tritagonis, dan unsur ekstrinsik berupa latar belakang penulis, latar belakang masyarakat, sampai nilai-nilai kehidupan. Selanjutnya, hasil analisis disesuaikan dengan tuntunan Kurikulum 2013 yaitu Kompetensi Inti dan Kompetensi Dasar 3.9 Menganalisis Isi dan Kebahasaan Novel, dan dijadikan sebagai alternatif bahan ajar apresiasi sastra dalam bentuk Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dan Modul Pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan peserta didik kelas XII dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia mengenai materi Teks Novel.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the intrinsic elements in the novel Rembulan Sinking di TFacemu by Tere Liye. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive with a structural approach. Data collection techniques used include recording and reading techniques, as well as documentation. The results of the study are, (1) the intrinsic elements contained in Tere Liye's novel The Moon Sinks in Your Face include theme, plot (early stage, middle stage, and final stage, setting (place, time, and atmosphere), characters and characterizations, point of view (third person), and language style (sarcasm, hyperbole, personification, metaphor, simile, parallelism, allegory, metonymy, and repetition), (2) the conflicts of characters contained in the novel Rembulan Sinking di TFacemu by Tere Liye include inner conflicts and physical conflicts, as well as internal conflicts and external conflicts.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low ability of students in writing short stories. This is due to the lack of awareness of educators in choosing the right model and learning media. The use of good learning models and media can improve the learning outcomes of learners. One of the learning models that can be used is Project Based Learning (PjBL) and Plotagon Story media in learning to create short stories in class XI students of SMAN 22 Bandung. The research method used is quasi experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Desain. Subjects used were two classes XI SMAN 22 Bandung with each class consisting of 30 people. Data analysis techniques used are normality test, homogeneity test, and non-parametric test because the data is not normally distributed. Data testing is done using the help of SPSS 23 application to facilitates data processing. The results of the research are the average pretest experimental class of 61.33 and the value of the control class pretest of 57.66; the average value of experimental class posttest of 79.83 and the average value of the control class posttest of 67.16. The results of non-parametric statistical calculations in form of Wilcoxon signed ranks test and mann whitney-u test with Asymptotic results. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 IE <0.05. So, based on these facts, it can be concluded that learning to create short stories using the model of Project Based Learning (PjBL) media-assisted Plotagon Story application on grade XI students of SMAN 22 Bandung, has been implemented and successfully.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the difficulty of student in writing text reviewer. It is characterized by the difficulty of students in developing written language, ideas and ideas in writing the contents of the reviewer’s text. The existence of a connection with the background described, that this study aims to determine the presence or absence of significant differences between students in learning by using the modelof problem based learning and discovery learning model of writing text reviews. This study uses a quatitative approach with quasi-experimental methods (quasi exsperimental). The design of this study is nonequivalent control group. Variables in this study are the independent variables in the form of problem based learning model and the dependent variable is the ability to write text reviewer. The population of this study were students of class XI in SMA Pasundan 7 Bandung. Based on the results of consideration, it was determined that class XI IPA-1 as an experimental class and class XI IPS-3 as a control class. Data collection techniques are tests and nontes (trials, observations, documentation and literature review). The results of the homogeneity test have been carried out data posttest both experimental and control classes declared equal or homogeneous distribution. Futher data were analyzed using non-parametric tests with Wilcoxon test and Mann-whitney U test. The results of the calculation of the test statistic of the Wilcoxon test in experimental and control classes both obtain Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.05, it is concluded that there are differences in student learning outcomes writing text reviewer. In the mann-whitney U test results in the experimental class and the control class refers to the value of posttest obtained value of Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05. It can be concluded that there is effectiveness on student learning outcomes in writing text skills experimental class reviewer using problem based learning model.

Abstract

This research discusses the issue of writing biographical texts in Indonesian language lessons. In the Merdeka Curriculum, every learning achievement requires students' writing skills. The need for biographical text writing skills does not match the conditions of class X students at SMAN 9 Bandung. Indonesian language lessons are often considered boring by students, which is due to teachers still using outdated methods and media that do not follow modern developments. This study aims to determine: the writer's ability to design, implement, and evaluate biographical text writing lessons using the MIKIR method assisted by flippity media,the students' abilities before applying the MIKIR method assisted by flippity media,the students' abilities after applying the MIKIR method assisted by flippity media, the difference in students' abilities before and after applying the MIKIR method. With using a quantitative experimental design with a quasi-experimental design, the study found: 1) the writer was able to implement biographical text writing lessons using the MIKIR method with an average score of 4. 2) the condition of students before receiving the MIKIR method and flippity media. 3) the condition of students after receiving the MIKIR method and flippity media. 4) the difference in students' abilities before and after receiving the MIKIR method.This study aims to improve the writing skills of students in Indonesian language lessons by using the MIKIR method assisted by flippity media, which is expected to enhance students' engagement and motivation in learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students in reading comprehension of advertising texts. The purpose of this research is to test the ability of researchers to plan lessons by applying the flipbook-assisted problem-based learning model in teaching reading comprehension of advertising texts; to describe students' abilities before using the flipbook-assisted problem-based learning model in learning to read comprehension of advertising texts; to describe the ability of students after using the flipbook-assisted problem-based learning model in learning to read comprehension of advertising texts; as well as to describe differences in abilities in learning to read and understand advertising texts among students in the experimental and control classes. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method. The results of this study proved that researchers were able to plan, implement, and assess the application of flipbook-assisted problem-based learning models in teaching reading comprehension of advertising texts. This is evident from the acquisition of a score of 38 with an average of 3.8 for the experimental class, while for the control class it was 40 with an average of 4. Before using the flipbook-assisted problem-based learning model, students' ability to read and understand advertising texts was still lacking. Good. This is evident from the results of the pretest score with an average of 67.4. The ability of students after using the flipbook-assisted problem-based learning model in learning to read and understand advertising texts increased. This is evident from the results of the posttest score with an average of 83.4. There is a significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes. Based on the results of this study, the researchers concluded that the application of the problem-based learning model was effectively used in teaching reading comprehension of flipbook-assisted advertising texts.

Abstract

Transformasi sastra merupakan salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk memperkaya bentuk sastra agar terus berkembang tanpa meninggalkan esensi bentuk awal. Selain itu, kegiatan sastra dapat dijadikan rujukan bahan ajar bagi siswa dan tenaga pendidik dalam proses pembelajaran untuk menumbuhkan kreativitas sastra di sekolah. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan proses transformasi sastra dari biografi Seabad Ismail Marzuki: Senandung Melintas Zaman karya Ninok Leksono menjadi drama musikal Payung Fantasi karya Garin Nugroho dan penggunaannya sebagai bahan ajar drama di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Penulis mengumpulkan data dengan observasi terhadap sumber data yang diteliti, yaitu buku biografi dan drama musikal terkait. Selain itu, penulis melakukan uji validasi terhadap bahan ajar yang telah disusun berdasarkan hasil penelitian. Kedua, ada indikator yang jelas sebagai penanda suatu bentuk transformasi sastra. Ketiga, musik yang digunakan dalam musikal memiliki harmoni dengan 21 tema dalam buku biografi. Keempat, berdasarkan hasil validasi 2 validator Modul Ajar dan LKPD yang telah disusun maka Modul Ajar dan LKPD dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar alternatif di kelas XI kurikulum SMA merdeka. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku biografi SIMSMZ dan drama musikal PF dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar alternatif di SMA, tepatnya di kelas XI.
