Abstract

Educational tools are very important to be implemented in the learning process. This is because educational tools can increase students' learning motivation so that learning is more meaningful, innovative and creative. However, the reality in the field is that when the learning process is in the classroom, teachers do not use learning media such as educational tools. This results in low student interest in learning mathematics, which also makes students' mathematical abilities low. Therefore, the community service team carried out community service activities regarding the use of educational tools in classroom learning. This community service activity aims to increase students' interest in learning and also their mathematical abilities. This community service activity was carried out at MIS Nurul Hidayah Medan. Participants in this activity were grade IV students consisting of 32 students. This activity was carried out on May 7, 2025. The methods used in this community service activity were preparation and planning, implementation and evaluation. The results of this community service activity were that students were more interested and enthusiastic in using educational tools with picture cards (flash cards) and there was an increase in students' mathematical abilities after using the educational tool.

Abstract

Pelatihan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan tentang pentingnya pendidikan karakter dalam menghadapi tantangan moral di era digital. Dilaksanakan melalui Zoom Cloud Meeting, pelatihan melibatkan dosen dan mahasiswa dari empat provinsi: Pontianak Kalimantan Barat, Medan Sumatera Utara, Jambi, dan Banjarmasin Kalimantan Selatan. Inisiatif ini melibatkan fase persiapan yang komprehensif, termasuk penilaian kebutuhan, desain modul, dan pemilihan narasumber ahli. Pelatihan, diimplementasikan dengan sesi interaktif dan diskusi kelompok, menekankan pada aplikasi praktis nilai-nilai seperti kejujuran, tanggung jawab, etika digital, dan toleransi. Pendekatan kolaboratif antarprovinsi memfasilitasi perspektif yang beragam terhadap tantangan moral setempat. Hasil yang diharapkan mencakup pemahaman yang mendalam, implementasi nilai-nilai karakter yang sukses, kolaborasi antarprovinsi, penyebaran positif nilai-nilai, dan dampak berkelanjutan pada perilaku. Proyek ini berkontribusi pada pembentukan generasi yang mampu menjelajahi lanskap digital secara etis.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan salah satu pelajaran yang kurang disukai siswa karena dianggap sulit dan membosankan. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan aplikasi pembelajaran agar pembelajaran menjadi menyenangkan seperti aplikasi kalkulator grafik. Pada kalkulator grafik, siswa diberi kebebasan untuk mencoba berbagai pertidaksamaan garis, mengamati berbagai bentuk garis, arah arsiran sesuai dengan bentuk pertidaksamaan, dan titik potong yang terbentuk dari dua garis atau lebih. Melalui aplikasi ini, siswa akan lebih mudah memahami materi program linear dan tidak merasa bosan belajar di kelas. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah metode pendampingan dan praktik langsung. Setelah dilaksanakan pelatihan, 85% siswa telah mampu menggunakan aplikasi ini dan hasil angket menyatakan bahwa 95% siswa merasa pelatihan ini sangat bermanfaat. Pelatihan ini memberikan informasi yang baru kepada siswa bahwa belajar matematika tidak sesulit yang mereka bayangkan.

Abstract

Bullying is one of the serious problems in the world, where it can damage the physical and mental well-being of the parties involved. The problem of bullying cannot be ignored, especially in a school environment where at those ages a person is experiencing growth that is very important for their future. Prevention of bullying can also be done through activities in schools, one of which is the Pancasila Student Strengthening Project (P5) program. This research was conducted by describing findings in the field related to P5 activities in preventing bullying behavior. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection through socialization (workshops), field observations, provision of diagnostic and formative assessments, and in-depth interviews with informants of research objects. Data analysis is carried out in stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Build their mind and body to be able to provide information about bullying so that participants can respond wisely in the future. The methods used are socialization (workshop), observation, discussion, brainstorming, challenges and project benefits. The selection of students at vocational schools as the object of research is due to the rampant bullying of students in schools

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of classroom discussion activities on the ability to master statistical learning materials in sharia accounting students. The method used in this study is quantitative, with data collection through a questionnaire distributed to 19 respondents. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant positive relationship between class discussion activities and material mastery ability. This study indicates that the application of the discussion method can improve students' understanding of statistical materials, as well as encourage critical and analytical thinking skills. These findings make an important contribution to the development of more effective learning strategies in the academic environment.

Abstract

Literasi membaca merupakan keterampilan fundamental yang harus dikuasai siswa sebagai dasar pembelajaran sepanjang hayat. Namun, minat baca siswa di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah, termasuk di MIS Nurul Hidayah Medan. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan minat literasi membaca siswa melalui implementasi program sudut baca. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi persiapan dan perencanaan, pembuatan dan penataan sudut baca, pelaksanaan program literasi, monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan minat baca siswa yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya frekuensi kunjungan ke sudut baca, antusiasme siswa dalam meminjam buku, dan perkembangan kemampuan literasi siswa. Program sudut baca terbukti efektif sebagai strategi praktis untuk menciptakan budaya literasi di lingkungan sekolah. Keberhasilan program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model bagi sekolah lain dalam mengembangkan literasi membaca siswa. Kata kunci: Literasi membaca, Minat baca, Sudut baca

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the level of students' understanding of concepts in Statistics courses and examine the impact of applying presentation methods in the learning process. The study uses a descriptive approach and was conducted in the Sharia Accounting class in Semester 3 at UINSU Medan in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research subjects were students in class AKS 3B, while the research object was a questionnaire designed to measure students' conceptual understanding of statistics material. The data obtained were analysed descriptively to describe the trends in students' conceptual understanding levels. The results showed that the average level of students' conceptual understanding ranged from 2.41 to 2.71. This range falls within the neutral category, i.e., between 2.1 and 3, indicating that students' conceptual understanding of statistical material through the presentation method is not yet fully optimal and still needs to be strengthened through more varied learning strategie
