Abstract

Tari Katumbu merupakan tarian yang menceritakan tentang proses pengelolaan panen, sebagai bentuk suka cita masyarakat kecamatan Tongkuno terhadap keberhasilan hasil panen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk pelaksanaan tari katumbu pada masyarakat Muna Kecamatan Tongkuno. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dalam proses pelaksaan tari Katumbu terdapat bentuk penyajian tari Katumbu yaitu, Gerak tari Katumbu, Pola lantai, Alat music, Penari, Kostum, Tata rias, Properti. Proses pelaksaan tari Katumbu diantaranya, pada saat pesta panen, acara resmi dan pada saat acara pernikahan. Eksistensi tari Katumbu di antaranya, Sejarah tari Katumbu, Keberadaan tari Katumbu saat ini, Upaya mempertahankan tari Katumbu

Abstract

Adapun tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dari cerita rakyat keberadaan Panning, dan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam rakyat keberadaan Panning pada Etnis bugis di Desa Lambandia Kecamatan Lambandia Kabupaten Kolaka Timur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode analisis deskriptif dengan sumber data yang diperoleh adalah data primer berupa catatan observasi, hasil wawancara dengan informan serta dokumentasi berupa video, foto dan data sekunder. Teknik penentuan informan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Terdiri dari 5 orang informan yang terdiri dari Tokoh masyarakat yang diambil secara sengaja (Purposive sampling). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik observasi (pengamatan), wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bentuk cerita rakyat keberadaan Panning merupakan Legenda. Dimana bukti sejarahnya dari cerita keberadaan Panning ini adalah satu jenis binatang yang dari dulu hingga saat ini dengan setia tinggal menetap di kota Soppeng. Isi dari cerita keberadaan panning ini memiliki suatu dampak yang positif bagi anak-anak yang mendengarkan cerita ini serta sangat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat suku Bugis. Nilai-nilai dalam cerita keberadaan Panning ini mengacu pada teori psikofungsi Folklor yang diungkapkan oleh Kluckhon dalam sebuah nilai budaya yang terpancar melalui wujud folklore salah satunya yaitu, man-nature yang artinya adalah hubungan manusia dengan alam sekitar. Nilai sosial budaya yang terdapat dalam cerita keberadaan Panning yaitu: nilai tolong menolong, nilai dapat dipercaya, nilai kebenaran dan nilai religius

Abstract

Suku Tolaki adalah etnis terbesar yang berada di Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Suku Tolaki merupakan etnis yang berdiam di jazirah Tenggara Pulau Sulawesi. Seperti halnya etnis lain yang memiliki keragaman tradisi dan budaya, etnis tolaki juga memiliki tradisi mondutu o ra’i pada masyarakat tolaki di Kecamatan Tirawuta Kabupaten Kolaka Timur. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan bentuk-bentuk adat mondutu o ra’i (menutup malu) di Kecamatan Tirawuta Kabupaten Kolaka Timur, Mengetahui dan menjelaskan perubahan adat mondutu o ra’i dan strategi pewarisannya di Kecamatan Tirawuta Kabupaten Kolaka Timur. Jenis penelitian ini deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui Observasi atau pengamatan, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Teknik dalam penentuan informan menggunakan purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan empat tahap yakni, Pengumpulan data, Reduksi data, Paparan data dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pengetahuan mengenai tradisi mondutu o ra’I sudah jarang di lakukan karena adanya perubahan dan pergeseran makna dan kebanyakan masyarakat sudah tidak memahami makna dalam adat mondutu o ra’I,prosesi adat mondutu o ra’i bersumber dari permasalahan yang terdiri dari batalnya perkawinan dan menuduh. Dari kedua permasalahan tersebut di selesaikan dengan tradisi adat mondutu o ra’i, dan upaya dalam pewarisan tradisi mundutu o ra’i pada masyarakat Tolaki di Kecamatan Tirawuta, dilakukan melalui proses pembelajaran melalui Lembaga Adat Tolaki.

Abstract

Many values are implied in the pingkama'a-ma' tradition but many people do not understand it so this study aims to determine the process of implementing the pingkama'a-ma'a tradition, the values in the pingkama'a-ma'a tradition, as well as changes in the pingkama'a-ma'a tradition. pingkama'a-ma'a tradition process. This study uses qualitative research methods, data collection is carried out by observation techniques, the second is interviews with sources or informants, and the third is documentation. The tools used in the field research are special notes and recording devices. Data analysis techniques take place continuously at each stage of the research until it is complete. The process of implementing the pingkama'a-ma'a tradition is carried out after completing the Eid al-Fitr prayer or Eid al-Adha prayer. When the pingkama'a-ma'a tradition takes place, there are no restrictions on anyone who wants to join in on the fun. The benefits of the pingkama'a'a-ma'a tradition are as entertainment for the community, as a place of friendship between fellow humans and as a place to find a mate for young people.

Abstract

The Barzanji tradition is a custom or ritual that must be carried out at every celebration so that it still survives today. This study aims to understand the pattern of inheritance and examine the meaning contained in the tradition. This type of research is a qualitative research whose data is obtained from the results of observations, interviews, and documentation and uses the theory of semiotics. The results of this study indicate that the process of implementing the Barzanji tradition consists of several stages, namely preparation, implementation and the final stage. The Barzanji tradition is understood by the Bugis people as a good tradition to maintain its existence. This is because in its implementation it provides benefits for their lives and as an expression of gratitude, grounding shalawat, and as a forum for Islam.

Abstract

The Kabasano Sumanga tradition is a tradition used by the Muna community to pray for the souls of deceased family members to rest in peace and not disturb the living family. The aim of this study is to identify the process, functions, and factors that affect the change in the Kabasano Sumanga tradition among the Muna community. The method used in this study is qualitative, by collecting data through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review, then analyzing the data. The results of the study show that the process of implementing the Kabasano Sumanga tradition begins with visiting the grave and haroa. The implementation of Kabasano Sumanga has personal, social, and religious functions. Factors that can affect changes in the Kabasano Sumanga tradition include population migration, economy, education, and understanding factors.

Abstract

The study was conducted in the village of Darawa, South Kaledupa District, Wakatobi Regency with the aim of describing the process of performing the tuko belai ritual (placement of the king's pole) in the village of Darawa, South Kaledupa District, Wakatobi Regency and explaining the symbolic meanings contained in it. The research method used was qualitative with the determination of informants using snowball sampling, then data was obtained through observation, interviews, and communication and then analyzed. The results of this research showed that the process of performing the tuko belai ritual consists of the initial stage, implementation, and final stage. The tuko belai ritual has the meaning of avoiding evil spirits or supernatural creatures that can disturb the life of the inhabitants of the house later, as a repeller of misfortune (Bala'a), a prayer for safety (doa selamat), blessed with health, blessed with prosperity, and given a long life.

Abstract

The Bada Kupat tradition (eid ketupat) is a tradition carried out by the people of Banyuwangi, East Java, who live in the village of Penanggo Jaya. This tradition is held on the 7th of Shawwal after Eid al-Fitr every year. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of implementing the bada kupat tradition in Penanggo Jaya Village and the meaning contained in the implementation of the bada kupat tradition in Penanggo Jaya Village. In this study, data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The technique of determining the informants in this study used a purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed using the following techniques: data presentation, data reduction, data verification and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the process of carrying out the bada kupat tradition consists of (1) the preparation stage, at this stage consisting of preparing tools and materials to carry out the bada kupat tradition, the process of making diamonds, there are 2 types of ketupat made namely onion ketupat and sinto ketupat ( Java), the process of making lepet as a side dish for ketupat and the process of making young jackfruit vegetables (Don't be fussy). (2) The implementation stage of the ater - ater, where at this stage after the ketupat and its accompanying food are ready to be served, it will be delivered or distributed to the family and neighbors around. (3) The final stage, in the final stage, salvation is carried out as a closing activity in the implementation of the bada kupat tradition and carrying out prayer together and eating together. In the bada kupat tradition, it contains meaning in every stage of its implementation, namely expressing gratitude, giving alms and friendship

Abstract

This study aims to answer the formulation of the problem, namely how the process and function of the Mapparola tradition in the Bugis community in the Wawotobi Village, Konawe Regency by analyzing and describing the data on these traditions. The mapparola tradition is one of a series of processions in Bugis wedding customs which are carried out after the ceremony. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method. Data collection was carried out using observation techniques, in-depth interviews and document studies. The informant determination technique in this study was carried out by purposive sampling. The data analysis technique uses three stages, namely (1) data reduction; (2) data display (data display); (3) drawing conclusions/verification (conclusion drawing/verifwing). The results of this study indicate that the Mapparola procession of carrying out the Mapparola tradition is still carried out with stages of implementation that have been passed down from generation to generation. While the functions contained in the tradition include; The Whole Functioning (stating the function of mapparola as the integration of the entire tribe community), Function of the System (functioning of the unity of political, cultural, economic systems, etc.), and Sociological and biological functions (cultural preservation not only on biological heritage, but Mapparola's sociological heritage as well very influential).

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of carrying out the Poancino Buku ritual for the community in Marobo Village, Marobo District, Muna Regency and describe the symbolic meaning contained in the Poancino Buku ritual. as well as describing the prohibition of the Poancino Buku ritual for the community in Marobo Village, Marobo District, Muna Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Primary data was obtained through in-depth interviews, namely to those who have been found using purposive sampling techniques. As well as direct observation in the field. Secondary data was obtained from data collection through documents and literature related to the research topic. The data collected was then analyzed by means of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are: (1) the process of carrying out the Poancino Buku ritual includes: the notification stage to the village shaman, the family gathering stage, the preparation stage, namely gathering materials and tools to be used in the Poancino Buku ritual. the implementation stage is the reading of prayers in the yard guided by a village shaman. And the final stage / closing. (2) the symbolic meaning of the Poancino ritual The book has meaning in the offerings provided including hono lapi (lapi leaves) as a symbol of the Koran, kahoho (sirik leaves), kowala (janur) & ma'keno me'a (areca nut) as a symbol of connecting with God Tallah. Oci (rice), unteli (eggs) & kenta katamba (katamba fish) have symbolic meanings as carriers of sustenance for certain people. incense (incense) as a symbol of notification to Allah SWT, that the community is carrying out the Poancino Buku ritual. (3) the prohibition of the Poancino Buku ritual, namely that for four days and four nights the people who carry out the ritual may not give goods or objects to other people because for four days and four nights their fortune is still in the diombo stage.
