Abstract

This community service program aims to reduce the spread of the Chikungunya virus in Banget Village through community-based empowerment innovations and the utilization of aromatic plants as natural mosquito repellents. The approach included training and the cultivation of aromatic plants such as basil, lemongrass, and lavender in wetlands and home gardens as a strategy for controlling Aedes aegypti mosquito vectors. This method leverages the potential of wetland agriculture to enhance the community’s capacity for independent and sustainable disease prevention. The results indicate an increase in community knowledge, active application of aromatic plants in the surrounding environment, and the growth of community independence in efforts to prevent Chikungunya virus transmission. This program highlights the importance of community-based innovations focused on environmental health and natural, sustainable vector control. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi penyebaran virus Chikungunya di Desa Banget melalui inovasi berbasis pemberdayaan masyarakat dan pemanfaatan tanaman aromatik sebagai pengusir nyamuk. Pendekatan yang digunakan meliputi pelatihan dan penanaman tanaman aromatik, seperti kemangi, serai, dan lavender, di area lahan basah maupun pekarangan rumah sebagai strategi pengendalian vektor nyamuk Aedes aegypti. Metode ini memanfaatkan potensi pertanian lahan basah untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat dalam melakukan pencegahan penyakit secara mandiri dan berkelanjutan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat, penerapan tanaman aromatik secara aktif di lingkungan sekitar, serta tumbuhnya kemandirian komunitas dalam upaya pencegahan penularan virus Chikungunya. Program ini menegaskan pentingnya inovasi berbasis komunitas yang berorientasi pada kesehatan lingkungan serta pengendalian vektor secara alami dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemanfaatan lahan terbatas melalui budidaya hidroponik bagi siswa SMAN 1 Muara Padang. Hidroponik dipilih karena memiliki berbagai keunggulan, seperti efisiensi penggunaan lahan, pupuk, serta perawatan yang lebih praktis. Program ini dirancang untuk memberikan edukasi berbasis penghijauan dengan metode pembelajaran partisipatif yang melibatkan ceramah, diskusi, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam beberapa tahap, mulai dari persiapan, edukasi teori, pembuatan media tanam, instalasi hidroponik, hingga evaluasi. Hasil angket menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan peserta mencapai 85,26% dalam kategori sangat baik. Siswa menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dan respons positif, serta peningkatan pemahaman terkait hidroponik. Kombinasi teori dan praktik terbukti efektif dalam memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada peserta. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan edukasi hidroponik ini adalah dapat meningkatkan literasi sains dan lingkungan, dapat juga menumbuhkan sikap peduli lingkungan, tanggung jawab, dan kemandirian siswa.

Abstract

The large Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in the Indonesian economy, contributing 61% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), employing approximately 66 million business owners, and absorbing 97% of the workforce. MSMEs face various challenges, including branding, innovation, digital literacy, and licensing. Research on MSMEs is crucial for poverty reduction, especially in developing countries. CV Seleksi Alam Muria is one of the MSMEs in Kudus that produces various processed products from the parijoto plant, known for its health benefits. Utilizing a digital approach, this MSME aims to enhance its marketing performance, refine its strategies, and pinpoint its business strengths and weaknesses. This study analyzes the effectiveness of CV. Seleksi Alam Muria's marketing strategy in developing processed parijoto fruit products as a local flagship product of Kudus Regency. The qualitative descriptive method involves identifying internal and external factors and conducting a SWOT analysis. Using a descriptive approach and marketing mix analysis, as well as SWOT and SOSTAC, the study found that the company has successfully diversified its product line, set varied prices, implemented strategic distribution, and conducted online and offline promotions. The economic value-added reached IDR 64,833/kg, with a profitability of 35.11%, and a distribution network in seven cities. Although the marketing strategy was effective, challenges remained, including price increases and limited public awareness. Recommendations for development include market education, branding enhancement, and digital expansion.
