Abstract

AbstractThis article aims to describe the activities of self development playing guitar in junior high 30-Country field. This type of research is qualitative research methods a descriptive analysis. The research was carried out at 22 students and coaches as its object, which is involved in the activity of self development playing guitar in junior high the land even semester Pasture 30 years teaching 2016/2017. The collection of data through observation, interview, documentation and library studies. The results showed that the implementation of the activities of the self development playing guitar in junior high 30 Pasture Land has been getting high from appreciative students, although at the time of exercise there are students who do not attend practice. As for the findings of the study showed that the implementation of the activities of the self development of guitar at the school had been done properly. It can be proved by ketercapaian students in material and latihanuntuk able to play guitar, guitar finger exercises, know, play tangganada, fingered and finally being able to play the song delman exceptional individually and groups.Keywords: activities, self development, guitar

Abstract

This article is aimed at analyzing the song Petang Lah Petang based on the song structure and melody composition. This is a qualitative research that uses the conten analysis approach. The theory used to analyze the song is the melodic structure, melodic composition and song structure theory. Data collection was done through recording, library research and laboratory work ( analysis process). The result of the analysis shows that the song Petang Lah Petang  belongs to the category of song which have two musical phrases of AB such as pharases a, a1 (antecedent) and b, b1, b2 (consequents). It was also found that the song has seven types of motives (m, n, o, m1, n1, o1,o2), the chords of the song consists of basic chord such as chords I, IV and V. it also as one type of cadence (perfect authentic cadence). The length of the phrases is different or also khown as contrasting phrase. The melodic formulation of the song consists of both disjunction and conjunction. Looking at the melodies and lyrics of the song, it can be concluded that Petang Lah Petang belongs to the group of songs called logogenic or songs whose lyrics dominate the melodies. In other words, this song is not perfect because it only emphasizes on the use of one type of form or also khow as syllabic song. Having analyzed the lyrics of this song and their link with the direction of melody, it is found that the song is a reflection of the tradition of ‘take and give’ – from the community, to the community. Some of the lyrics of the song contain orders and good advice (a reflection of life in the Lahat community) to be passed down to the next generation in the community.

Abstract Arabian Music Composition was inspired based on (1) harmonic minor note and zygana minor note that has been developed become an Art Project (2) want this composition become an ensamble form, (3) using western instrument which describe the happening of arabian. Abstract

Abstract This research aimed at decribing the non harmonic tones found in 3 children songs composed by A.T. Mahmud. The song were “Bintang Kejora”, Pelangi”, and “Amelia”. The non harmonic tones were were analyzed based on the progression of three main chord (I, IV and V) in the background of the melody. According to Ottman (1961:127),non-harmonic tones may be identified and classified by relationship of dissonance (the non-harmonic tone)to the harmonic tones which precade and follow it. Based on the content analysis approach used in this research, it was found that 19 non harmonic tones (35%) in the song of “Bintang Kejora”, 8 non harmonic tones (17%) in the song of “Pelangi”, and 12 non harmonic tones (22%) in the song of “Amelia”. It was concluded that the amount of non harmonic tones within this 3 song were lower than 30%. As a result, the melody of these songs was dominated by leaping movements which was still included as fair interval for children. Keywords: children songs, A.T. Mahmud,the non harmonic tones

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to determine whether there was a correlation of singing spiritual worship at school services to the results of singing learning in SMP Kristen Kalam Kudus Padang and found out how much the correlation of singing spiritual worship to the results of singing learning. This research used a quantitative research method with a correlation research type. The populations in this research were 22 students of class VII of Christian SMP Kalam Kudus Padang. Determination of the number of sample members in this study was done by taking 100% due to the number of small relatively population, less than 30 people using saturated sampling technique. The validity instruments were done by content validity test and correlation test. Data analysis technique used was product moment correlation statistic. The results of this study indicated that there was a positive correlation that was moderate and significant between singing spiritual worship at school devotion to the results of studying class VII students of SMP Kristen Kalam Kudus Padang academic year 2017-2018, it was proved from the value of the correlation coefficient greater than r table ( 0.563> 0.432) and a significance value of 0.006, which meant less than 0.05 (0.006 <0.05). The result of data analysis also showed the value of r2 equal to 0,317; the value meant that 32% changed in the variable of singing of spiritual worship at school services could be explained by the result of singing learning of the seventh grade of junior high school Christian Kalam Kudus Padang, while the rest 60,8%  influenced by other variable were not examined in this research. Keyword: Singing, Spiritual Worship, Learning Outcomes, Correlation.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the shape and musical structure of Camille Saint-Saens's "Danse Macabre" programa, which looks at the extra elements of musicals and Intra musicals as a whole. This study uses a musical approach and the results are qualitative. The main instruments in this study are the researchers themselves. Data collection techniques are done by means of library studies and observations. The steps to analyze data are to collect data, describe data, analyze and make conclusions. The results showed that Danse Macabre is a free form of music composition in which this form of music is irregular/bound to any form of music seen working on melodies that flow just like that based on the story the composer describes can be seen based on the extramusical and intra musical elements.  The integrity of Danse Macabre's programa music work is formed from the Intro section, part A, part B, part A1, part A2, part B1, part B2, part A3, part C, part C1, part A+B, and the Coda section with the kadens on the last two seasons. Introduction tells the story of the midnight time played by Harp, resulting in the sound of clocks that signify the day at exactly 00:00 or midnight and the Grimp Reaper begins summoning ghosts to party and dance.

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to determine whether there were differences in student learning outcomes both using audio visual media and without using audio visual media in music art learning in SMP Negeri 1 Sungayang. The type of this research was quantitative research with experiment method. The design in this study was Pretest - Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII, amounting to 108 students. The sample in this research was determined by random sampling technique and obtained class VIII.5 as experiment class and class VIII.1 as control class. Moreover, independent variables were the use of audio visual media and the use of conventional media, while the dependent variable was the result of student learning in the subject of art and culture, especially art of music. The research data was obtained from multiple choice test of ensemble music material on pretest and posttest. Validity test and reliability test used Kuder Richardson (KR 20). In this research, t-test was used as technique of data analysis. Data obtained from the results of pretest and posttest then processed using Microsoft Excel 2010 program. The results showed that the results of experimental classroom learning by using audio visual media was better than classroom control classroom learning results using conventional media. There was a significant difference between learning outcomes taught by using audio visual media with learning outcomes using conventional media in art learning. This was evidenced from the calculation of t-test obtained tcount 3.2932> ttable 2.0195. The application of audio-visual media in the learning of music art can improve students’ learning outcomes for the better, this was evidenced from the average increase in experimental class learning outcome was 87.73 and the average control class was 82.86. Thus, it was obtained the difference in the average of experimental class and control class of 4.87. Keywords: Aplication, Audio Visual Media, Music Art Learning

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to find out and describe the implementation of music ensamble learning at class of XI IPS 2 at SMAN 1 Padang Sago. The design of the research was qualitative using descriptive data analysis. The primary instrument was the research himself while the secondary ones were student’ observation sheets and lesson plans. Data were obtained from library study, interview, and documentation. The objects were 24 students of class XI IPS 2 of the school. The research result shows that the learning process runs well and is based on the syllabus as well lessons plans. The students were required to be able perform the song Cinta Untuk Mama* within a group. The lessons plans were design for 4 meetings. Each meeting included materials for the students by applying the lecturing, demonstration, and exercise methods. The students were divided into three groups. One of them was pointed as the conductor. At the final meeting, the students were able to perform the song in a harmonious tempo and dynamics written in the song’s patition.Keywords: Learning Implementation, Music Ensamble

Abstract

This research examines the production process of making Minangkabau wind instrument, Bansi, produced by Hamdan Thawil. This research began by observing the stages of making Bansi, then about production factors that affect the production process. The results of this study include; 1) the selection and processing of raw materials, 2) the use of tools, 3) the manufacturing phase of Bansi and the factors of production; 1) natural resource factor, 2) human resource factor, 3) capital resource factor and 4) expertise/ skill factor. The research was conducted with a case study approach and using qualitative methods. Data collection techniques were carried out using participatory observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation. Organologi Bansi: Alat Musik Tiup Minangkabau Produksi Hamdan Thawil di Padangpanjang. Penelitian ini mengkaji proses produksi pembuatan alat musik tiup Minangkabau, Bansi, produksi Hamdan Thawil. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan mengamati tahapan pembuatan bansi, kemudian tentang faktor-faktor produksi yang mempengaruhi proses produksi. Hasil penelitian ini meliputi; 1) pemilihan dan pengolahan bahan baku, 2) penggunaan alat, 3) tahap pembuatan bansi dan faktor produksi; 1) faktor sumber daya alam, 2) faktor sumber daya manusia, 3) faktor sumber daya permodalan dan 4) faktor keahlian/keterampilan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan studi kasus dan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi partisipatif, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan triangulasi.
