Abstract

This study aims to find sirompak music as a traditional Minangkabau music performance that uses gasian tangkorak as inspiration for making works. characteristic and gives rise to cobs/sirompak as the inspiration for saluang music. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive method. The research instrument is the researcher himself and is assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery and cameras. Data collection techniques were carried out by literature study, observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out by collecting data, describing data and concluding data. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the traditional sirompak art which contained magical elements was still displayed in public places and with the same intent and purpose during the Animist era, it would cause disunity against families or neighbors, because of their intentions. and sirompak's aim was not good at that time. . After turning into a traditional art, there are elements of lyrical music and dance in this sirompak art, and the role of gasiang skulls in sirompak music is very influential in it because the hallmark of sirompak music itself is a top made of a human head skeleton. , but now the top has been replaced with the top made of coconut shells which are shaped in such a way as to be similar to the original.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of presentation of Dikia Rabano at the Wedding Party in Kenagarian Inderapura, Pancung Soal District, South Coast Regency. This type of research is qualitative using descriptive analytical data processing methods. The research instrument is the researcher himself and is assisted by stationery and cameras. Data were collected through literature studies, observations, interviews and documentation. The steps of analyzing data are classifying data, clarifying data, analyzing data, describing data and concluding data. The results of the study show that the procession of presenting Dikia Rabano has 3 forms, namely: the implementation of the Mamak thanksgiving, in the Mamak thanksgiving, the presentation of Dikia Rabano is only performed seated by the Alim Ulama using verses of assalamualaika (barzanji). And in the implementation of Maarak Nasi Sapek from Induak Bako and Maarak Anak Daro jo Marapulai, this is shown standing while walking in a procession using the recitation of wasyahadu verses. Dikia Rabano music player is a person who is from 40 to 70 years old. The songs performed were 2 songs, namely Assalamualaika and Wasyahadu

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of Concept Mapping and the application of concept maps in improving students' mastery of dance learning at SMA N 2 Padang Panjang. The type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) concept mapping method which is carried out in 2 cycles. This research instrument is in the form of observation sheets and practice tests. Data were collected through literature studies, observations, interviews, standardized tests and documentation. The data was analyzed using the percentage formula. The results of the study show that the use of the concept mapping method can improve students' thinking skills in learning cultural arts (dance), namely the concept and variety of Minangkabau traditional dances at SMA N 2 Padang Panjang. Students' abilities increase because they are given actions and are given repeated exercises in the learning process. The use of the concept map method in learning dance art is able to trigger students' enthusiasm and activeness in learning process activities. This can be seen from the increase in student learning activities from each meeting and from the test results of each cycle. The results obtained in the first cycle the average class obtained was 58.8% with poor criteria, at the end of the second cycle, the average class also increased where the results obtained were 70.3%, with good criteria. The increase from cycle I to cycle II was 11.5%.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and describe the form of presentation of Dikia Rabano by the "Tukang Dikiu" group in the Jopuik Antau Marapulai event in Lubuak Alai, Kapur IX District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The research instrument is the researcher himself and is assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery and cameras. Data were collected through literature studies, observations, interviews and documentation. The steps of analyzing data are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the existence of Dikia Rabano art in Nagari Lubuak Alai is still appreciated and continues to this day. Dikia Rabano's art is able to influence society and become a symbol of a community such as the niniak mamak procession on Islamic holidays and bridal processions. The form of Dikia Rabano's presentation in Nagari Lubuak Alai is played by standing while walking along the procession of niniak mamak and bridal rows. The song sung in Dikia Rabano is a verse with Islamic nuances, in ancient times this song was believed to be a song of a mother in putting her child to sleep.

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan metode pembelajaran violin yang lebih fleksibel dan interaktif di era digital, menjadi akar permasalahan dalam penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menelaah literatur terkait dampak penggunaan video tutorial terhadap keterampilan musik siswa serta mengidentifikasi tantangan dan kelebihan yang terkait. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan pendekatan kualitatif, di mana peneliti mengumpulkan dan menganalisis sumber-sumber literatur yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa video tutorial secara signifikan meningkatkan keterampilan teknis siswa, memberikan aksesibilitas yang lebih baik, dan memungkinkan pembelajaran mandiri. Video tutorial juga membantu siswa memahami teknik dengan lebih baik melalui demonstrasi visual. Namun, tantangan terkait kualitas dan kredibilitas sumber video teridentifikasi, yang dapat memengaruhi efektivitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya integrasi video tutorial dalam kurikulum pendidikan musik dan perlunya pelatihan bagi pengajar untuk memaksimalkan potensi video tutorial sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran yang efektif, menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang menarik dan bermanfaat bagi siswa.

Abstract

Pembelajaran ansambel rekorder di kelas X TJKT SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang masih menghadapi tantangan dalam penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Kurikulum ini menekankan pembelajaran yang lebih fleksibel dan berpusat pada siswa; namun, dalam praktiknya, guru masih menggunakan metode konvensional yang terstruktur dan berpusat pada pengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis metode pembelajaran ansambel rekorder yang diterapkan guru serta kesesuaiannya dengan prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui studi pustaka, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menggunakan tiga metode dalam pembelajaran, yaitu ceramah, demonstrasi, dan kerja kelompok. Meskipun metode ini membantu siswa dalam memahami materi dan meningkatkan keterampilan bermain rekorder, penerapannya masih kurang sesuai dengan esensi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar karena guru tetap menjadi pusat perhatian dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kesenjangan antara konsep kurikulum dan implementasi di lapangan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan penerapan metode pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif agar selaras dengan prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar, sehingga siswa dapat lebih mandiri dan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Learning Methods for Recorder Ensemble in Class X Vocational High School The recorder ensemble learning in class X of the Muhammadiyah 1 Padang Vocational School still faces challenges in the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum. This curriculum emphasizes more flexible and student-centered learning; however, in practice, teachers still use structured conventional methods that are teacher-centered. This study aims to analyze the recorder ensemble learning methods applied by teachers and their alignment with the principles of the Independent Learning Curriculum. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, where data is collected through literature studies, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results show that teachers use three methods in teaching: lectures, demonstrations, and group work. Although these methods help students understand the material and improve their recorder playing skills, their implementation is still less aligned with the essence of the Independent Learning Curriculum because teachers remain the focal point in the learning process. This indicates a gap between the curriculum concept and its implementation in the field. Therefore, efforts are needed to enhance the understanding and application of more innovative teaching methods to align with the principles of the Independent Learning Curriculum, enabling students to be more independent and active in the learning process. Abstract

Cultural arts learning is one of the compulsory subjects taught at the Junior High School (SMP) level. Through cultural arts at school, students are able to express themselves and channel their creativity. In learning, student motivation is an important factor in determining student success in achieving understanding. Because motivation will influence a person's desire to do something. This study was conducted to describe student motivation towards learning cultural arts (music) in class VIII C at SMPN 2 Batang Gasan District. In conducting this study, the researchers employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The study focused on grade VIII students of SMPN 1 Batang Gasang, with the sample group being determined using the cluster random sampling technique. The selected sample consisted of students from class VIII C. To gather data, a questionnaire was distributed to the students, which was designed based on indicators of intrinsic and extrinsic learning motivation. The collected data was then analyzed using the average equation and subjected to descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the research obtained, it can be concluded that student motivation towards learning cultural arts (music) in class VIII C at SMPN 2 Batang Gasan District is obtained for internal motivation with an average value of 75.7% in the high category. As for extrinsic motivation, the average value is 65.32% in the high category. Overall, student motivation obtained an average value of 70.51% in the high category. Therefore, student motivation at SMPN 1 Batang Gasan can be categorised as high towards learning cultural arts, especially in music.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran awal praktek instrumen biola pada mata kuliah Praktek Instrumen Mayor I di Prodi Pendidikan Musik Jurusan Sendratasik Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Padang. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif pendekatan studi pustaka, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggambarkan kegiatan pembelajaran biola meliputi pengenalan instrumen, pengenalan penggesek, pengenalan senar biola persiapan peserta didik dalam mempelajari biola terkait sikap atau posisi tubuh dalam memainkan instrumen biola, penggunaan penggesek memainkan nada dalam posisi open string, penggunaan penjarian dengan teknik gesekan Whole bow, Legato dan Staccato. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan posisi tubuh dan penggunaan bowing Whole Bow (W.B) dengan penjarian dan posisi yang tepat berguna untuk menguatkan teknik dasar dalam bermain biola yang bertujuan memantapkan bunyi nada yang berkualitas sesuai dengan teknik yang tepat untuk mendapatkan hasil belajar yang maksimal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan kegiatan ekstrakurkuler music modern di SMA 1 Pertiwi Padang. Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Instrumen penelitian adalah peneliti sendiri. Objek penelitian adalah kegiatan ektrakurikuler music modern SMA 1 Pertiwi Padang. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mengidentifikasi, mengklarifikasi, dan menarik kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapati bahwa kegiatan ekstrakurikuler musik modern dimulai dengan menyeleksi peserta yang akan ikut kegiatan, menentukan jadwal kegiatan, menentukan pelatih atau pembina, menentukan materi yang akan dilatih dan menentukan ruangan yang akan digunakan. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dilaksanakan dengan jumlah 21 orang peserta dan dilaksanakan satu kali dalam seminggu pada hari Sabtu selama 2 jam. Materi yang diajarkan adalah lagu “Dan” ciptaan grup Band Shella on 7. Alat musik modern diajarkan secara individu. Siswa dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok dengan instrumen musik yang terdiri dari Drum Set, Gitar Elektrik, Gitar Bass dan Keyboard dan satu orang penyanyi. Latihan dilakukan sebanyak 4 kali pertemuan. Hasil yang didapati dari penampilan perkelompok dua kelompok dapat memainkan lagu Dan dengan baik sesuai dengan tempo dan dinamik lagu sementara dua kelompok lagi masih belum sempurna memainkannya.
