Abstract

The punk genre in Indonesia initially imitated music as well as lyrics with the theme of resistance, but the lyrics of this punk music have a different context from the background of problems in Indonesia. In Pekanbaru itself, Pop Punk has entered and developed in 2008 because it was delivered by several communities. The Covid 19 pandemic makes art workers and communities have to survive and also innovate to stay afloat, ways to maintain cohesiveness will change and events that were initially delayed due to the Covid 19 pandemic, before that, how to introduce groups that were initially small to large was influenced With fashion and music, Pop Punk Pekanbaru has grown rapidly in the music community in Pekanbaru. In this way there is a process of communication patterns in the Pekanbaru pop punk community, which consists of the role of communication actors, the messages that are exchanged, the interactions that occur in the group communication process, group norms and cohesiveness. From the phenomenon that is currently happening in the music scene in Pekanbaru, the writer is interested in researching the Pekanbaru Pop Punk Community Communication.                              This research uses qualitative research methods with a qualitative descriptive format model. The research informants consisted of six people, of which six informants were the main informants. Data collection techniques consist of interviews, observation, documentation. While the data analysis technique is to use descriptive analysis techniques. For data validity checking techniques, participation extension and triangulation were used.                Based on the results of the research conducted by the author, the research results obtained. The role of group communication actors is inseparable from the role of the chief advisor and treasurer in the Pekanbaru pop punk community. Message exchange in the Pekanbaru Pop Punk community includes verbal and non-verbal messages, Communication in the Pekanbaru Pop Punk community. is two-way communication, either through face-to-face or through WhatsApp groups. In the Pop Punk Pekanbaru community, the norms used are the norms that develop throughout society and the cohesiveness that is formed in this group is more or less influenced by the existence of communication interactions that occur intensively and also habits.

Abstract

Garbage is an important issue in urban environments are constantly faced in line with the growing of population and an increase in construction activity. The garbage problem in Pekanbaru city, particularly in the area of Car Free Day (CFD) Diponegoro street can’t be solved only with the janitor, but need public awareness for the hygiene environmental. Efforts made by the Earth Hour Pekanbaru Community with persuasive the public through the action of “Rampok Sampah”. This study aims to determine the credibility of a communicator, messages and media used by the Earth Hour Community to establish a friendly environment behaviour in society at Pekanbaru city. This study used a qualitative descriptive study. Informants consisted of four people who are the committees of Earth Hour Pekanbaru Community using purposive technique and five people which is a public in the area of CFD using accidental sampling technique. Data was collected by participant observation, deep interview and documentation. To achieve the validity of the data in this research, researchers used the participation of extension and triangulation. The results showed that the Earth Hour Pekanbaru Community has credibility as a communicator that expertness includes KUMBANG (Belajar Kumpul Bareng) discussion and training from Indonesia Earth Hour, family gathering, experience as an MC (Master of Ceremony) and the educational background of the environment and can be trusted and the members of the Earth Hour Pekanbaru Community implement a friendly environmentally behavior. The persuasive message Earth Hour Pekanbaru Community is using verbal messages include clarity, directness and accuracy as well as nonverbal messages using a tool (use the artifact) as costumes of a plastic bag monster and protected animals for example turtles, eagle, elephant, monkey and a panda. The media used by Earth Hour Pekanbaru are, first offline media, using the quotes, posters and merchandise such as T-shirts, by inserting messages friendly environmentally. Second are, used a social networks Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Third, printed and online media, send press releases to Riau Pos and Tribun Pekanbaru. The last is used a radio in the form of advertising and talk shows on Radio Cendana, Persada, and Green Radio.Keywords : Persuasive Communication, Community, Earth Hour, Friendly Environmentally.

Abstract

The coaching program is one of the programs run by the State DetentionBranch Selatpanjang.. Instructor coaching program at Branch Selatpanjang usinginstructional communication in which there are several methods. One of theclasses in the coaching program at Rutan Selatpanjang branch is a handicraftclass that is able to utilize secondhand goods to be made into works such asminiature, souvenir and selling price. The community around even tourists areinterested to buy the craft. For now, the work of Batan Selatpanjang Branchresidents has come to areas such as Bengkalis, Dumai, Pekanbaru and evenabroad such as Singapore, Malaysia and South Korea. The purpose of thisresearch is to know the method, the media as well as the instructor instructionalcommunication barrier in the craft class guidance program at the Branch ofSelatpanjang Prison.This research uses qualitative research method. The research wasconducted at the Branch of Detention House of State Selatpanjang of TanjungMayat Village, Tebing Tinggi, Meranti Island district, Riau Province. Selection ofinfroman done by purposive technique. Data collection techniques used duringconducting research is by way of observation, interview and documentation.While the validity of data that researchers use is to extend the participation,triangulation and reference adequacy.The results showed that instructional instruction method used byinstructor in handicraft class of Branch Selatpanjang is using command method,practice/practice method, and question and answer method. While theinstructional communication media used by the instructor in the form of visualmedia such as drawings and whiteboard and media aids. Meanwhile, the barrierof instructional communication that occurred in the handicraft class of BranchSelatpanjang is in the form of obstacles to the technical media as well as theobstacle coming from the psychological communicant.Keywords: instructional communication, Coaching program, State detentionbranch of selatpanjang

Abstract

Pesantren where education is capable of contributing to the birth of Muslim intellectuals , traditional function as an educational institution, a place of learning the teachings of Islam which implements the importance of religious morals. But now people have various perceptions of pesantren, ranging from old-fashioned place, a prison, a nest of terrorists, out of date until the behavior of students who graduate from pesantren have started to no longer reflect the behavior according to teachings derived. Interpersonal communication is a dialogue conducted between individuals or groups with specific goals and ways to get the desired results. This study aims to determine how the pattern of interpersonal communication pengasuh and pengurus against santri Pondok Modern Nurul Hidayah, interpersonal communication effectiveness factor, as well as communication symbols used in the interaction. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method with symbolic interaction approach. Informants in this research are pengasuh, pengurus and santri Pondok Modern Nurul Hidayah using purposive sampling. Technique.data collection techniques using participant observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the pattern of interpersonal communication pengasuh and pengurus against santri based on the theory of symbolic interaction that occurs symbols statements verbally and nonverbally that consists of several kinds of patterns: linear communication pattern, without any feedback from the communicant; interactional patterns that communicators and communications communicant be a mutual exchange of functions in living their functions; transactional patterns of communication that allows all interact between each other. Factor is the effectiveness of interpersonal communication: communication skills, empathy, openness, interpersonal perceptions, beliefs. Symbols used in the interaction, namely the use of verbal symbols that include spoken language and written text in the form of slogans, symbols nonverbal messages include facial, gestural, postural, paralinguistic, and artifactual, the friendly attitude that blends with gentle verbal symbols, and symbols in the form of nonverbal bell or Jaros that is used to manage all the activities of santri Pondok Modern Nurul Hidayah. Abstract

Humans as social beings interact with each other both with different cultural backgrounds and the same, such as the Akit tribe and tribal Javanese immigrants in the village of Suka Maju Bantan District Bengkalis who mingle with each other. In the process of interaction, both tribes have difficulty when adjusting from boat verbal and nonverbal forms to accommodate cultural between the two tribes. The purpose of this research is to know the strategy of convergence, divergence strategy and excessive accommodation strategy at Akit Tribe and Java Tribe in Suka Maju Village Bantan District Bengkalis in communicating.This research uses qualitative method with symbolic interaction approach. The location of this research is in Suka Maju Village Bantan District Bengkalis Regency. Subjects in this study were Akit Tribe and Java Tribe as 17 people obtained by Snowball Sampling technique. Data collection techniques are done through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique using Interactive model of Huberman & Miles.The results of this study indicate that at the time of the communication accommodation between Akit Tribe and Java Tribe in Suka Maju Village Bantan district Bengkalis, there are 3 forms of strategy they are (1) Convergence strategy of verbal form is by using Malay language and language controlled by both tribes when interacting, while for nonverbalnya form is using body movements that are created to provide comfortable when interacting. (2) Sterategi divergensi, for verbal form there is no attempt to use the language of his interlocutor, and the nonverbalnya form is Akit Tribe and Java Tribe doing movements of cultural rejection, there is no effort to reduce the speed and tone of voice. (3) The accommodation strategy of the grotes is that the Java Tribe makes a mistake in using the tone of speech, so the Akit Tribe uses the opposite language at the wrong time, it is part of the verbal form. For its nonverbal form Akit Tribe performs excessive movements when communicating with the Java Tribe.

Abstract

The development of Islamic da'wah in this day and age not only do the teachers da'wah (preachers), many media that can be used in preaching to convey the teachings of Islam, such as television, newspapers, magazines, books, the internet, and even a song. Through the lyrics written by the creator of the song, listeners are invited to interpret the brain through the store experience and knowledge, as well as the process as a basic foundation in digesting the beauty of song lyrics. Capable of causing a lot of the lyrics are strongly influenced by the perception of the level of understanding someone who comes from life experience possessed. This study aims to reveal the meaning of Islamic da'wah messages through a song by the band Guardians titled TOMAT (Tobat Maksiat) through the meanings of denotation, connotation of the lyrics of the song that is associated with the myth.The method used is that of Roland Barthes semiotic analysis assumes that the denotation and connotation of the most powerful at the end. Researchers used a form of qualitative research and interpretive approach. The subjects were the lyrics text TOMAT (Tobat Maksiat). The object of research is the meaning of denotation, connotation and myth in the lyrics TOMAT (Tobat Maksiat). In collecting the data, the researchers used a technique of documentation, library research and interviews. The data analysis techniques to be able to draw conclusions that give an overview over the data.The results of this study indicate that the lyrics of the song TOMAT (Tobat Maksiat) presented the meaning of the message propagation is seen directly from the meaning of denotation, connotation and myth in every lyric. Propaganda messages related to aqidah form values is to remember death, advising fellow, begging forgiveness for all sin, and prepare everything needed for the afterlife. Propaganda messages related to Islamic values which form the whole earth will not be eternal, and propaganda messages relating to the worship that is given the value of sin which we have done.Key words : Propaganda, Representation, Semiotics of Roland Barthes

Abstract

In effort to preservation and develop of local art culture, government of Siak Regency through The Tourism Department of Youth and Sport did Siak Praise EventFestival as annual event that had purpose to preservation local art culture, which is held for 14 times, this event can not be denied because management roles and promotion strategy that had rousing in every year that make society and art activists interest to participated in this event.Research methodology that used in this research was kualitative research with a phenomenological approach. There were 2 informants in this research, they were directly handle this activity by using purposive technique. The technique of data collection of this research were interview, observation and documentation. The technique of data analysis were data reduction, data presentation and conclusion and also verification.The result of this research indicate that The Tourism Department of Youth and Sports of Siak Regency in promoting art and malay culture that used structural of goverment function in socialization, that this event was an event of local cultural preservation which its scope was very limited, for Siak Regency only, so that the demand envoy delivered to districts and coaching did the cooperation with the school through the study of art extracurricular, thus breeding envoy takes place on an ongoing basis to the future generations, in used of media is not too published, because this event is only for Siak Regency, so very little or even can be said media not appear in use to publicize the event, in addition to interest of enthusiasts can also be seen from the festive event, the prize for the winners and invited abroad guests to enliven the event, as well as artists of capital to enliven the opening and closing ceremonies.Keywords : Promotion Strategy, Motive, Communication Experience, Art and Culture

Abstract

One catering competent in Pekanbaru the WOW Catering. Catering is a company engaged in the field of catering services, which stood since 15 March 2008. Catering is experienced in the fields of food, beverages, as well as the manner of presentation and trusted to handle the companies which is quite famous in this Pekanbaru. With the cooperation already established relationships result in satisfaction for both in terms of food, beverage, which is rich in variations, full of flavor and most importantly meet health standards. In the past, many people hesitate to wear catering because of the lack of health standards of ISO (International Organization for Standardization). As with the now consumers have trusted catering because of the health standards that have been owned by a business engaged in catering ini.Tujuan this study was to menetahui strtategi marketing communications in building brand image through advertising, sales promotion, publicity and public relations , personal selling and direct marketing. This study used qualitative methods .Penelitian is done in the company Wow Catering pekanbaru housed in the Mangga 15 Pekanbaru. This study used a technique purposive.Tekhnik data collection by interview, observation, dokumentasi.Informan on this research that there is one person Marketing Executive, Customer 8 Wow Catering, 2 prospective customers and 1 Relation Wow Wow Catering Catering Pekanbaru. These results indicate that marketing communications strategies Wow Catering pekanbaru in building brand image through activities Advertising using social media Facebook, brochures and flyers. Sales promotion activities for promo menus and discounts. Personal selling activities do live presentations, invited presentations and go make a presentation. Direct marketing activities carried out by using a tool that is E mail and also Telepone.Terakhir, activities carried out on the publicity by publishing the logo Wow Wow Catering Catering through the cars scattered in Pekanbaru city areas while the public relations activities to socialize directly with customers, prospective customers and relationships Wow Catering Pekanbaru.Key words: Marketing Communications Strategy, Brand Image, Promotion Mix

Abstract

Selatpanjang Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti has a unique tradition during the Lunar New Year celebration of Water War (cian cui). This tradition is one of the traditions that originated from the moment children play water during Idul Fitri and the celebration of Chinese New Year. By this tradition society continues to be developed so that become a mixed tradition, create harmony between ethnic and have uniqueness that can attract the interest of domestic and foreign tourists. The implementation is carried out 6 (six) days in a row. So it gets the attention of the government by making a festival in Selatpanjang. The purpose of this research is to know the process of externalization, the process of objectification, and the process of internalization of the society of Selatpanjang about meaning the tradition of Water War (Cian Cui).This research uses qualitative method, the subjects of informants selected using purposive technique, which become informant in this research are 11 people that is 4 ethnic Chinese, 4 ethnic Malay, 2 community figure that is ethnic Chinese and Malay, and 1 person from party Department of Tourism Youth and Sports District of Meranti Islands. The data collection techniques used in this study are interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques by reducing data, collecting data, presenting data, drawing conclusions, and evaluation by using techniques of validity checking data that is the extension of participation and triangulation.The result of this research is the externalization process of ethnic Chinese and Malay society which mean Water War tradition (cian cui) subjectively as a moment of fun, joy together and is a blessing. The objectification process of the community agreement on the ownership of the water war tradition (cian cui) belongs to the community in Selatpanjang which is illustrated by the good interaction of the inter-ethnic group, while the internalization process that takes place is the whole society mingling in the familiar atmosphere and creating inter-ethnic harmony. By the Government of Kepulauan Meranti District make the water war (cian cui) as annual event in the form of Festival every year since 2017 and has entered as one of the event Calendar Of Event Riau 2017.Keyword : Social reality, Water war (cian cui), society
