Abstract

Abstract: Problem solving ability was main objective in this mathematic’s learning. So this research intends to know the students’ achievement of mathematics which was better (1) students were taught by Problem Based Learning (PBL) with Writing Activities (WA), students were taught by Creative Problem Solving (CPS) or students were taught by Direct Learning, (2) students with high creativity, students with medium creativity, or srudents with low creativity, (3) in each category creativities, the students’ achievement of mathematics was better among the students were learnt by PBL with WA, CPS or direct learning models (4) in each model, the students’ achievement of mathematics was better among the students with high creativity, students with medium creativity, students with low creativity. This research used a quasi-experimental research with the population of tenth grade of High Schools in Tegal city in the Academic Year of 2014/2015. The sampling technique used stratified cluster random sampling and three schools were selected namely SMK N 1 Tegal, SMK N 2 Tegal, and SMK N 3 Tegal. Two-way variance’ analysis was used to test the hypothesis, followed by Scheffe’ technique.  The results of analysis  were as follows. (1) The students’ achievement by PBL with WA were better than by CPS and direct learning. The students’ achievement by CPS were better than by direct learning. (2) The students’ achievement with high creativities were better than with medium and low creativity. The students’ achievement with medium creativity were better than with low creativity. (3) In every category of creativities (high, medium and low), the students’ achievement by PBL with writing activities were better than CPS and direct learning. The students’ achievement by CPS were better than direct learning. (4) In every model of learnings (PBL with WA, CPS, and direct learning), the students’ achievement with high creativity were better than medium creativity and low creativity. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran untuk pokok bahasan proses entry jurnal. Media dirancang dengan bantuan program PowerPoint yang digabungkan dengan software Wondershare Quiz Creator dan Windows Movie Maker. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model Borg and Gall (1983) yang dimulai dari analisis kebutuhan, perencanaan, pengembangan produk, validasi ahli, dan revisi.  Untuk mengukur efektifitas penggunaan media pembelajaran digunakan uji lapangan terbatas. Hasil penelitian ini adalah tersedianya media pembelajaran untuk pokok bahasan proses entry jurnal yang telah valid dan teruji efektifitas penggunaannya.

Abstract

Fermentation of whey often faces problems with the product clarity due to the milk solids residue from previous cheese making process. The aim of this research was to determine the clarity and the performance of fermented whey precipitation process in the presence of pectin and chitosan as coagulant. Whey was initially pasteurized and added with pectin and chitosan prior to fermentation with mixed starter culture. Fermented whey was stored in refrigerator for 24 hours. Data were obtained using visual analysis by 15 semi-trained panelists. Qualitative scorings were given by (+) or (-) markings from the specified criteria. The data were compiled in a table, showcasing the observed characteristics at the initial and final states of fermentation. The results showed that the highest clarity (+++) was achieved by the fermented whey with the addition of pectin, as well as most stable sediment performance (+++) was also produced by pectin treatment. However, while fermented whey with the addition of pectin exhibited clarity, the level of clarity achieved by fermented whey with the addition of chitosan was superior.

Abstract

Abstract Pectin is an industrial raw material that can form gels, thickeners, and emulsifiers widely applied in the food and non-food industries. Extracting pectin with citric acid solvent using ultrasonic waves is considered more effective and efficient. This study aimed to obtain an optimization model for the pectin production process to produce maximum pectin yield and obtain the optimized pectin characteristics. This study used the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) as the optimization method with the Central Composite Design (CCD) experimental design with Design Expert 13 software to determine the treatment combination based on time factors and solvent concentration. The treatment combination obtained was 11. The results showed that the maximum pectin yield value was 34.63% at a 7-minute extraction time using the citric acid solvent concentration of 20% and a validation value accuracy of 99.08%. The optimized pectin characteristics were a water content of 7.66%, ash content of 0.33%, equivalent weight of 183.28 mg, methoxyl content of 7.52%, galacturonic acid content of 67.13%, and degree of esterification of 63.56%. The pectin produced followed the pectin quality standards according to the International Pectin Producers Association (IPPA), except for the equivalent weight.Keywords: extraction, lemon albedo, pectin, ultrasonic AbstrakPektin merupakan bahan baku industri yang memiliki kemampuan dalam pembentukan gel, zat pengental, dan sebagai zat pengemulsi yang banyak diaplikasikan pada industri pangan dan non-pangan. Proses ekstraksi pektin dengan pelarut asam sitrat menggunakan bantuan gelombang ultrasonik dianggap lebih efektif dan efisien. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendapatkan model optimasi proses produksi pektin hingga menghasilkan rendemen pektin yang maksimum dan mendapatkan karakteristik pektin hasil optimasi. Metode optimasi dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Response Surface Methodology (RSM) dengan dengan rancangan eksperimen Central Composite Design (CCD) menggunakan software Design Expert 13 untuk menentukan kombinasi perlakuan berdasarkan faktor waktu dan konsentrasi pelarut. Kombinasi perlakuan yang diperoleh adalah 11. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rendemen pektin maksimum adalah 34,63% pada waktu ekstraksi 7 menit dengan konsentrasi pelarut asam sitrat 20% dengan keakuratan nilai validasi adalah 99,08%. Karakteristik pektin hasil optimasi diperoleh nilai kadar air 7,66%, kadar abu 0,33%, berat ekuivalen 183,28 mg, kadar metoksil 7,52%, kadar asam galakturonat 67,13%, dan derajat esterifikasi 63,56%. Pektin yang dihasilkan sudah sesuai dengan standar mutu pektin menurut International Pectin Producers Association (IPPA) kecuali pada berat ekuivalen.Kata kunci: albedo lemon, ekstraksi, pektin, ultrasonik

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sikap konsumen terhadap atribut daging sapi di Pasar tradisional Kota Palangka Raya serta untuk mengetahui proses keputusan pembelian daging sapi pada Pasar Tradisional Kota Palangka Raya. Untuk mengetahui sikap konsumen menggunakan analisis Multiatribut Fishbein dan untuk mengetahui proses keputusan pembelian konsumen menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa sikap konsumen dalam keputusan pembelian daging sapi di Pasar Tradisional Kota Palangka Raya secara keseluruhan adalah positif dengan nilai sikap 137,62. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa secara umum konsumen memiliki pandangan positif terhadap produk daging sapi di Pasar tradisional. Atribut kesegaran mendapat perhatian tinggi dari konsumen dengan kategori sangat positif dimana dengan nilai 20,78. Atribut tekstur (18,44), pelayanan (18,15) dan warna (18,05) masuk dalam kategori yang positif sedangkan atribut lokasi (15,38), harga (15,01) dan atribut kebersihan (14,87) masuk pada kategori netral. Proses pengambilan keputusan pembelian daging sapi di Pasar tradisional dimulai dengan tahap pengenalan kebutuhan mengenai motivasi mengkonsumsi daging sapi, pada tahap ini sebanyak 57% konsumen memilih mengkonsumsi daging sapi dengan alasan sebagai pelengkap menu makanan. Sumber informasi terbanyak yang diperoleh konsumen pada tahap pencarian informasi adalah dari diri sendiri yaitu sebanyak 53 %. Pada tahap evaluasi alternatif, pertimbangan konsumen dalam membeli daging sapi di Pasar tradisional adalah atribut fisik daging sapi yaitu sebanyak 45%. Pada tahap keputusan pembelian sebanyak 77% melakukan pembelian secara terencana. Pada tahap pasca pembelian sebanyak 100% konsumen menyatakan puas terhadap pembelian daging sapi di Pasar tradisional, frekuensi pembelian paling banyak adalah sekali sebulan dengan persentase 33%.

Abstract

This study explores planning strategies for library outreach programs aimed at enhancing access to information for underserved community. By employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the study highlights the key principles of outreach services planning, including needs assessment, stakeholder collaboration, resource allocation, and program evaluation. The result indicate that tailoring library services to community-specific needs and leveraging technology significantly improve program effectiveness and reach. Collaborative partnerships with stakeholders and efficient use of resources further ensure the sustainability and impact of outreach initiatives feedback, are essential for refining strategies and achieving meaningful outcomes. This article emphasizes the importance of an adaptive and inclusive approach in planning library outreach programs to bridge information gaps, promote lifelong learning, and foster community engagement. Libraries must adopt innovative solutions to overcome barriers and address the dynamic needs of diverse population while maintaining a focus on sustainable and inclusivity.

Abstract

In recent times, local culture has begun to be displaced by modernisation, and environmental awareness has declined. Therefore, efforts are needed to revive love for local culture and the environment. The purpose of this study is to create artwork with themes of local culture and the environment, namely, medallion reliefs and wood waste. Artwork featuring themes of local culture and the reuse of waste is one of the efforts to introduce, preserve, and conserve local culture and the environment through art. The research method employs Arts-Based Research. The artistic practice follows a three-stage experimental sequence: the exploration stage, the design stage, and the realisation stage. The results of this research indicate that wood waste has high potential for being utilised as an alternative medium for creating artworks. The result of this creative process is an environmentally friendly and affordable collage artwork themed around a medallion. _______________________________________________________________________________   Beberapa waktu terakhir budaya lokal mulai tergeser oleh modernisasi, dan kecintaan terhadap lingkungan mengalami kemerosotan. Sehingga dibutuhkan suatu upaya untuk menumbuhkan kembali kecintaan budaya lokal dan lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk menciptakan karya seni dengan tema budaya lokal dan berbasis lingkungan yakni relief medalion dan limbah kayu. Karya seni dengan tema budaya lokal dan pemanfaatan limbah menjadi salah satu upaya untuk mengenalkan, menjaga dan melestarikan budaya lokal dan lingkungan melalui karya seni. Metode penelitian memakai Arts based Research. Praktek artistik menggunakan urutan eksperimen tiga tahap, yaitu: tahap eksplorasi, tahap perancangan, dan tahap perwujudan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa limbah kayu memiliki pontensi tinggi untuk dimanfaatkan menjadi alternatif medium penciptaan karya seni. Hasil proses kreatif ini yaitu karya seni kolase bertema medalion yang ramah lingkungan dan terjangkau.

Abstract

Sastra anak merupakan karya sastra yang ditulis berdasarkan sudut pandang anak sebagai pusat penceritaan yang menggambarkan perasaan dan pengalaman anak. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kontribusi nilai personal dan nilai pendidikan dalam buku cerita Naga Emas Danau Ranau. Jenis pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka dan pencatatan. Data dan sumber data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan penggalan paragraph dalam buku cerita Naga Emas Danau Ranau karya Yulfi Zawarnis yang dipublikasikan oleh Badan Pengembangan dan Pembinaan Bahasa Kemendikbud. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa Pertama, buku cerita ini memuat nilai personal meliputi perkembangan emosional, perkembangan intelektual, perkembangan imajinasi, pertumbuhan rasa sosial, pertumbuhan rasa etis dan religius. Kedua, nilai pendidikan dalam buku ini meliputi nilai rasa ingin tahu, peduli sosial, semangat kebangsaan, menghargai prestasi, kerja keras, dan tanggung jawab.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas mengenai strategi pengembangan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Desa Tanah Rendah, Kecamatan Air Putih,Kabupaten Batu Bara, Provinsi Sumatera Utara untuk meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat desa. Desa ini memiliki potensi UMKM yang signifikan, seperti produk keripik pisang, pepaya, dan singkong. Namun, UMKM di desa ini menghadapi berbagai kendala, termasuk akses pembiayaan yang terbatas, peralatan produksi sederhana, dan strategi pemasaran yang lemah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk menganalisis tantangan dan strategi pengembangan UMKM. Hasil menunjukkan perlunya dukungan pemerintah melalui akses pembiayaan, pelatihan, penyederhanaan regulasi, dan teknologi. Strategi untuk meningkatkan kapasitas UMKM meliputi pelatihan keterampilan, adopsi teknologi, pemasaran efektif, serta pembangunan jaringan bisnis. Penyederhanaan regulasi dan dukungan teknologi diharapkan dapat membantu UMKM di Desa Tanah Rendah berkembang dan memperkuat perekonomian lokal.
