Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objective of research was to find out: (1) the participation of Village Community Empowerment Institution in implementing Village Development as the Manifestation of Civic Participatory in Blorong Village, Jumantono Sub District and Karanganyar Regency and (2) the factors affecting the participation of Village Community Empowerment Institution in implementing Village Development as the Manifestation of Civic Participatory in Blorong Village, Jumantono Sub District and Karanganyar Regency. This research employed qualitative method with a single embedded case study approach. The data source was obtained from informant, place and event, and documentation. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Techniques of collecting data used were interview, observation, and document analysis. Data validation was conducted using data and method triangulations. Meanwhile, technique of analyzing data used was an interactive model of analysis encompassing: (1) Data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data display, and (4) conclusion drawing. The procedure of research included: (1) preparation, (2) data collection, (3) data analysis, and (4) research report writing. Considering the result of research, the following conclusion could be drawn. (1) The participation of Village Community Empowerment Institution in implementing Village Development as the Manifestation of Civic Participatory in Blorong Village is not optimal. It could be seen from its participation in each of stages in the development of Blorong Village from planning, implementation, development and utilization of development results. (2) The participation of Village Community Empowerment Institution in implementing development was affected by factors included: first, allowances for members of LPMD. Second,regulation of LPMD. Third, support from society. Fourth, stranded good communication between LPMD and society. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors included: first, gradual fund issuance. Second, low awareness of LPMD. Third, low trust society to village goverment showed with society?s prejudice and dissenting opinion. Abstract

This research aimed to find out (1) the Civic Education teacher?s mastery of Information Technology and Communication (ICT)-based learning media in public junior high schools in Selogiri Sub District; (2) the Civic Education teacher?s awareness of using ICT-based learning media; (3) the attempt taken by headmaster to use the Civic Education teacher?s mastery in using ICT-based learning media; and (4) Civic Education teacher?s pedagogic competency viewed from the mastery of ICT-based learning media in Public Junior High School in Selogiri Sub District.This study employed a qualitative interactive method and qualitative descriptive approach with case study. The data source included informant, place, activity, document with purposive sampling. Techniques of collecting data were interview, observation, and documentation study. To validate the data, data and method triangulations were used. Considering the result of research were: (1) Civic Education teacher?s mastery of ICT-based learning media in public junior high schools in Selogiri Sub District was still low in which Civic Education teacher?s knowledge and ability of using computer, LCD, internet, various information and media, and of dealing with barrier or constraint in using ICT-based learning media were still limited; (2) the Civic Education teacher?s awareness of using ICT-based learning media was still low because the attempt of learning anything related to ICT-based learning media, there had been no personal willingness in using ICT-based learning media, and there had been no willingness and attempt of selecting the ICT-based learning media relevant to Civic Education. (3) The attempts taken by the headmaster to improve the Civic Education teacher?s mastery of ICT-based learning media were moderately and fairly good including providing infrastructure, holding training of ICT, giving moral support /advice/instruction/direction to Civic Education teacher in order to improve the mastery and the utilization of ICT. (4) Civic Education teacher?s pedagogic competency in Public Junior High Schools in Selogiri Sub District was still low viewed from the mastery of ICT-based learning media.

Abstract

The decision of the Constitutional Court is a final and binding legal decision that can be used as a source of material for the content of Civics, especially in the scope of the 1945 Constitution material. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used interviews with PPKn SMP Wonogiri teacher informants and experts in the field of law, document analysis of the PPKN SMP textbooks, and the 2013 Civics Education curriculum, supported by Focus Group Discussion. The results showed that teachers had difficulty in developing the material for the 1945 Constitution based on the decisions of the Constitutional Court. The material for the 1945 Constitution of the Junior High School level Civics is still simple and does not require many sources of material and difficult material such as the decision of the Constitutional Court. The development of materials based on the decisions of the Constitutional Court can be carried out by encountering cases or constitutional problems in the administration of the state that is not contained in other sources of material and limiting the decisions of the Constitutional Court related to constitutional issues, elections, political parties. Teachers can start the introduction material and use the decisions of the Constitutional Court as learning materials with high thinking skills. Therefore, the development of material for the 1945 Constitution based on the decision of the Constitutional Court in the Civics Education subject in junior high schools can be developed according to the stages of thinking of the students.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the largest economic supporter in Indonesia. Semarang is one of the vast regions in Indonesia and the capital of Central Java Province in this case also has MSMEs with great growth potential. Intellectual property rights are at the heart of the creative economy. Lack of understanding related to the urgency of Intellectual Property Rights can hinder MSMEs from transforming. IPR can make businesses more developed and avoid harmful disputes. This study aims to describe the understanding of MSME entrepreneurs in Semarang about IPR and how to transform MSMEs in Semarang through the Implementation of Wealth Rights. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The instrument used in this study used primary data, namely interviews and questionnaires which were distributed to SMEs in Semarang and also used literature studies. The results of the study show that the understanding of SMEs in Semarang already understands IPR, for business actors IPR is important as a form of legal protection, but there are still many business actors who do not understand how to obtain IPR. Therefore, it is necessary to reaffirm the understanding of the urgency of Intellectual Property Rights and how to obtain Intellectual Property Rights to make MSMEs transform to be more effective and efficient, and independent and the realization of a state of law that makes its people happy.

Abstract

The aims of the research are to describe: 1) how to internalize democratic values through MPK activities. 2) The results of internalizing democratic values of MPK activities in increasing student participation. The study uses qualitative methods. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, document analysis and questionnaires. Subject taking using purposive sampling technique. Location in MPK SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta. Testing validity of using source triangulation and method triangulation. Data analysis through data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show 1) the method of internalization that is applied is through activities organized by the organization, namely a) the student council supervisory work program; b) aspiration questionnaire work program; c) aspiration forum work program (Smaliska Speaks); d) extracurricular supervisory work program; e) work program for the election of OSIS and MPK chairpersons; f) open recruitment work program for new MPK members; g) work program accountability report. 2) The results of internalization are as follows: a) high attendance indicators; b) the indicator of the position held is a supporting factor, c) the indicator of being involved in organizational aspects is found in the awareness of students in participating; d) indicators of members' willingness to make sacrifices show they are willing to sacrifice their time, thoughts, energy, and materials; e) motivational indicators show that each student has different motivations. The results of the questionnaire show the level of participation of students in participating in MPK activities, which is in the medium category with a percentage of 36%.

Abstract

The concept of citizenship covers 3 (three) statuses: legal status, political agent, and identity. Citizenship as legal status is taken into consideration along with the emergence of concept of legal state. The concept is the form of relationship between state and citizens who act in accordance with law possess rights and obligations, and have the right to claim the law's protection. Legal citizenship status for Indonesian citizens can be identified from regulating legal formulation. The present research seeks to find out characterization or attributes of Indonesian citizenship as legal status. Content analysis of legal documents as legal norm regulating Citizenship of the Republic of Indonesia was applied. The legal documents included the 1945 Constitution and Law as regulation of the implementation concerning Citizenship of the Republic of Indonesia. The research results indicate that according to the legal perspective, Indonesian citizenship contains attributes of identity, acceptance of basic social values, and formal content of citizenship. The research concludes that no formulation of material content in the forms of citizens' rights, obligations, and participation was found.

Abstract

West Kalimantan Province is one of the locations where ethnic and religious disputes frequently occur, as the rise of the SARA issue in recent elections has exacerbated the situation. The goal of this research is to determine the role of political education, the phenomenon of political education in West Kalimantan Province, strategies for anticipating the SARA issue in West Kalimantan Province elections, and the implications for harmony among differences in West Kalimantan Province. Literature was used as the qualitative strategy and research type. Data gathering strategies include documentation studies, as well as data analysis via content analysis.Assume the people of West Kalimantan have political literacy. In that situation, they should expect ethnic and religious disputes to have an impact on national and state peace. They will increase the quality of West Kalimantan's secret, open, honest, and fair elections. The inhabitants of West Kalimantan aspire to a pleasant and harmonious living free of SARA concerns and background distinctions. Keywords: Racial Politics; Elections; Political Education

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: 1) What is the strategy for handling victims of sexual violence against women by the Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning, Karanganyar Regency. 2) What are the problems encountered in handling victims of sexual violence against women and the solutions. In this study using qualitative research methods. In this study the results were found: 1) strategies for handling victims of sexual violence against women by the Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning in Karanganyar Regency, namely (1) receiving reports, (2) outreach to victims, (3) case processing, ( 4) mediation, (5) medical, psychological, legal assistance, (6) psychological and trauma recovery. 2) The problems encountered in handling victims of sexual violence against women and their solutions are (1) lack of companion staff, namely by engaging other institutions that have the same goals, (2) victims who are not open, overcome with refreshing minds, (3) families who lack cooperative given an understanding, (4) the lack of understanding of the community about the agency that handles cases of sexual violence, overcome by conducting socialization.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) optimization of industry and labor services in an effort to fulfill the right to job training as a form of job skills development in Klaten Regency, (2) analyzing the inhibiting factors of the Klaten District Office of Industry and Labor in fulfilling the right to job training as a form of developing work skills. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. With data sourcess obtained using observations at the Industry and Labor Office of Klaten Regency and the Sewing Work Training Participants’, food processing and welding Homes, interviews with the Training and Work Placement Section and four sewing job training participant, two new entrepreneurial participants in food processing and welding and documentation that suports the research program. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews and documentation. Data validity was tested using data triangulation amd method triangulation. While the data analysis technique according to Muhadjir with (1) data reduction (2) data presentation (3) conclusions. The results of this research are (1) optimization of industry and labor services in an effort to fulfill the right to job training as a form of job skills development in Klaten Regency, there are several things that are not yet optimal, including a) Not yet having a Job Training Center b) There are still problems with selection process and lack of job training program. Step taken by the Klaten Regency Industry and Labor Service to optimize job training by a) Utilizing Job Training Institutions b) Screening selection participation c) Increasing the number of training according to needs d) Providing other alternatives (2) Inhibiting factors for the industry and labor services in an effort to fulfill the right to job training as a form of job skills development in Klaten Regency, there are two things, including for the poor a) There are some teaching staff who do not have competent certificates and b) The training participant factor. And for people who are not in the poor category, a) There are no Job Training Centers, b) Inadequate infrastructure c) Training participant factors, and d) Programs for job placement are still limited.

Abstract

Work is self-actualization by channeling and developing abilities to be more productive to achieve a prosperous life. Work is one of the rights that every person, including people with disabilities, is born with, and must be fulfilled and respected. However, in its implementation, there is a lack of attention from the authorities related to employment issues and legal guarantees. This research analyzes the civic engagement of people with disabilities through Induk Disabilitas Purworejo, in which the majority of members are people with physical disabilities fighting for their right to work. This research also analyzes the supporting and inhibiting factors for the success of civic engagement. The research method is qualitative with purposive sampling. Research data were gathered through observation, interviews, and document studies. The result of the discussion is that the civic engagement of people with disabilities through Induk Disabilitas Purworejo in fighting for the right to work is actualized through activity programmes such as advocacy, working with local agencies and opening small trainings at regular meetings in accordance with the components and indicators of civic engagement. In addition, there are supporting factors that are analyzed such as motivation and a sense of responsibility and skills from people with disabilities supported by the role of family, Induk Disabilitas Purworejo assistants, wheelchair aids, and civic cohesion. There are inhibiting factors that affect civic engagement, namely the lack of attention from the Regent regarding the guarantee of legal rights for people with disabilities and lack of accessibility during the implementation of activity programmes.
