Abstract

Rice husk is a type of agricultural waste that generated from rice production activities. The number continues to increase in line with the increasing food needs of the people in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of natural zeolite as a catalyst and to determine the effect of natural zeolite mass percentage variation in the mixture on rice husk waste catalytic combustion by using the thermo gravimetric analysis method. The results of this study show that there is an effect of adding natural zeolite catalysts with the mass percentage of natural zeolite variations on the combustion characteristics and activation energy of each mixture. Increasing the mass percentage of natural zeolite catalysts can affect the reaction process become faster and minimize the effort required, but it was found that if the amount of natural zeolite catalyst is too much, it only adds to the heating load which causes slower reaction. The mixture of rice husks with 10% natural zeolite catalyst is the most optimal mixture because it has the lowest required activation energy value and the combustion reaction phases are achieved at a lower temperature than 5% and 15% mass percentage variations.

Abstract

The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on the decline in the economy and the decline in labor absorption is not fully absorbed, so the government must also provide jobs. If labor absorption is optimally absorbed, it will affect the increase in the economy so that there is community welfare. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the influence of UMK, PDRB and HDI on labor absorption in East Java Province in 2015-2023 with a research model of panel data regression analysis. In other words, panel data is data obtained from cross sections that are repeatedly observed on the same individual unit at different times. Then a description of the behavior of several objects will be obtained over several time periods and see how the influence of the independent variables is partially through the t test and simultaneously through the F test on the dependent variable. And, knowing how much percentage of the independent variables in this study affect the dependent variable. The estimation results show that UMK does not affect labor absorption in East Java Province, PDRB affects labor absorption in East Java Province and HDI does not affect labor absorption in East Java Province

Abstract

One way to implement the Tridharma of Higher Education is through the Community Service Program (KKN) in the form of student community service. KKN activities are carried out with the aim of developing and building the potential of the village or solving problems in the village. The Research Team consisting of Lecturers collaborated with students from the University of Jember in the University's Village Development Community Service (KKN UMD) in Baletbaru Village, Sukowono District, Jember Regency. Based on identification carried out through direct observation, Baletbaru Village has the potential for village development through the utilization of rambutan commodities that grow abundantly in almost all villages. The Community Service Team found the potential to create home products with high selling power. The method used in village development is the Business Model Canvas. The results of the community service produced products in the form of herbal drinks from rambutan skin with the brand "Anyis", cocktails from rambutan flesh with the brand "Legion", and chips from rambutan wedges with the brand "Bobi". The target of the work program is housewives in Baletbaru Village. The work program activities are expected to be an alternative to improving the family economy in Baletbaru Village.
