AbstractBackground of the research is student less comprehen of lesson concept, student less active in learning, and many student only cheat exercise their friendâs. Goals of research to describe studentâs activity by used active learning Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) model and to known what is  students comprehension mathematical conceptâs by used that modelâs better than comprehension mathematical conceptâs by applying conventional teaching students in class XI IPA SMA Adabiah 2 Padang on 2013/2014. Type of research was experimental. Randomized Control Group Only Design. Instrument of the research was observation sheet and final test with indicator of comprehension mathematical concepts in the form of essay got reliability test 0,836. Based on data analysis both of class, one class samples have not normal distributions. data Analysis technique used non parametrik statistik part the help of Minitab, Mann-Whitney test got P-Value = 0,0000 with α =0,05, it means that the hypothesis was accepted.

Kemampuan siswa dapat dikembangkan melalui perkuliahan, salah satunya adalah melalui variabel Kalkulus 2. Agar kuliah menjadi lebih maksimal, diperlukan bahan yang dapat mendukung proses perkuliahan. Di Sumatera Barat, Padang, mahasiswa STKIP PGRI hanya mengandalkan satu buku ketika kuliah. Hal ini mengakibatkan motivasi dan minat mahasiswa dalam belajar menjadi rendah. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan bahan kuliah yang dapat membantu memfasilitasi mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan, yaitu sebuah modul. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan modul yang valid, praktis dan efektif dalam mata kuliah Kalkulus 2 di STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Modul ini dikembangkan dengan menggunakan model 4D (mendefinisikan, mendesain, mengembangkan, dan menyebarluaskan). Tahap menyebarluaskan tidak dilakukan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan validasi dan pengujian modul. Modul divalidasi oleh Dosen dan Ahli Kalkulus 2, serta Dosen Bahasa Indonesia. Pengujian dilakukan pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat untuk mengetahui praktikalitas dan efektivitas dari modul tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul sudah valid (termasuk isi dan validitas konstruksi) dari hasil penilaian validator. Selanjutnya, penggunaan modul di kuliah tidak mengalami hambatan yang berarti. Buku ini adalah kerja praktek yang sesuai dengan mahasiswa dan Dosen dan modul ini sudah efektif. Hal ini terlihat dari aktivitas dan motivasi mahasiswa yang tinggi untuk belajar setelah kuliah.

Algebra structure is a branch of abstract mathematics, which is generally more difficult than the other more concrete branches of mathematics. The on going problems in the subject of Algebra structure is the students do not understand about the concept of algebra structures, so that students have difficulty in using theories or theorems in evidence. In addition, another cause is the algebra structure of the teaching material is too abstract, so that students are less motivated to read supporting books and it causes low student activities. There may be one way to improve the motivation, activity and learning outcomes of students like using the Student Worksheet (MFIs). The purpose of this research was to develop an effective MFI Guided on the subject of Algebraic Structures in STKIP PGRI West Sumatra. This type of research was a developmental research. This research used 4-D models composed of 4 phases: definition phase (define), the design (design), development (develop) and spread (disseminate). In the deployment phase of the trial is limited to classes only. Effectiveness was analyzed through the observation student activity during lectures, student motivation by providing motivation questionnaire after using Guided MFI and student outcomes. Data analysis was analyzed descriptively with the results after using Guided MFIs in the subject of Algebra structure can enhance the activity, motivation and learning outcomes of students. The level of student mastery learning outcomes is more than 68%. It means that MFI Guided is effective in improving the student learning outcomes. The results show that the MFIs Guided on the subject of Algebra Structure developed has been effectively used as a teaching material for students.

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning disertai Teknik Kepala Bernomor lebih baik daripada hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Jenis penelitian adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian random terhadap subjek. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 7 Padang yang terdiri dari 8 kelas pada Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak, yang terpilih sebagai kelas eksperimen adalah kelas VIII1dan sebagai kelas kontrol adalah kelas VIII2. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes akhir. Bentuk tes yang digunakan adalah bentuk essay dengan reliabilitas tes 0,92 dan Berarti soal tes dinyatakan reliabel karena . Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t satu pihak. Berdasarkan analisis data tes akhir dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 7 Padang yang menerapkan model pembelajaran problem based learning disertai teknik kepala bernomor sama dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional.

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas dan prestasi belajar mahasiswa yang mengikuti perkuliahan menggunakan strategi reciprocal teaching. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus meliputi perencanaan, implementasi, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Struktur aljabar merupakan salah satu cabang matematika abstrak, yang umumnya lebih sulit dibandingkan dengan cabang matematika lain yang lebih konkret. Permasalahan yang selama ini terjadi pada mata kuliah Struktur Aljabar, bahwa mahasiswa kurang memahami konsep struktur aljabar sehingga mahasiswa kesulitan menggunakan teori-teori atau teorema-teorema dalam pembuktian. Selain itu, penyebab lain adalah bahan ajar struktur aljabar yang ada juga bersifat abstrak, sehingga mahasiswa kurang termotivasi dalam membaca buku-buku penunjang. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa (LKM). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji praktikalitas LKM Struktur Aljabar yang telah divalidasi oleh pakar Matematika, Struktur Aljabar dan Bahasa di STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. LKM Terbimbing menurut mahasiswa sudah sangat praktis digunakan. Waktu yang digunakan sudah mencukupi dan materi yang ada membuat mahasiswa mengerti dalam memahami materi ring.

This research is conducted because of low mathematics learning achievement phenomenon. It is also aimed to know whether Learning Start with a Question (LSQ) learning will give better effect toward students’ learning achievement than conventional learning strategy at grade VIII students of SMPN 25 Padang. Thus, this research is an experimental research. The population of this research is all of grade VIII students of SMPN 25 Padang. The sample is then chosen randomly with the result of grade VIII3 as experimental class and VIII4 as control class. The instrument of this research is a test with 0,845 of reliability. The hypothesis is tested by using one-tailed t test. The result of data analysis shows that both of two classes samples have normal distribution and homogeneous variance. Based on the result of hypothesis analysis, it can be concluded that the result of students'mathematics learning achievement after applying the active learning model of Learning Starts with a Question (LSQ) is almost the same with students' mathematics learning achievement of conventional learning strategyin grade VIII of SMP 25 Padang.

Understanding mathematical concepts is an important ability to be mastered by students. It allows students to understand the essence of teaching and the material being learned. The purpose of the study is to analyze how mathematical concept understanding of students who learn by using constructivism-approach textbooks that have been developed in previous studies. This research was a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The study was conducted by giving 10 item problems of conceptual understanding to participants that consisting of 17 students STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat in Basic Mathematics subject. Furthermore, the students' answers were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study showed that a mastery achievement of the highest mathematical concept understanding was on indicators of using model, diagram, and symbols to represent a concept. While the lowest concept mastery was on indicators of recognizing conditions for determining a concept, students had difficulty in determining a settlement set from an inevitable inequality of absolute value.

This research aims to develop constructivist module and web on circle and sphere material with wingeom software are valid, practice and effective. The type of this research is development research. This research constitute development research utilize Plomp design that comprise of three phases: 1) the preliminary research, 2) prototyping phase, and 3) assessment phase. Pemahaman mahasiswa yang kurang terhadap materi, Buku teks yang tidak memadai, serta bahasa buku yang tidak komunikatif sebagai faktor penyebab rendahnya hasil belajar mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa (LKM) berbasis Project Based Learning. erintegrasi Information and Computer Technology/ICT yang efektif. Model penelitian yang digunakan adalah Model Plomp yaitu preliminary research, prototyping phase dan assessment phase. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Subjek penelitian diambil secara Purposive Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes berbentuk essay yang terdiri dari soal pre-test dan post-test. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Desain penelitian ini adalah One Group Pretest-Postest Design. Teknik análisis dari hasil belajar tentang keefektifan LKM menggunakan uji t tipe dua arah. Hasil analisis tes menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai post-test yang diperoleh mahasiswa lebih baik daripada rata-rata nilai pre-test yang diperolehnya. Disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa berbasis Project Based Learning terintegrasi ICT efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Geometri Ruang sehingga efektif digunakan untuk proses pembelajaran. Diharapkan LKM ini dapat dijadikan salah satu sumber belajar yang mampu mengembangkan potensi kemampuan mahasiswa dan meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa.Lack of students' understanding of the material, inadequate textbooks, and uncommunicative language of books as factors causing low student learning outcomes. The purpose of this research is to produce an effective Project Based Learning Integrated Student Worksheet (LKM) based on Information and Computer Technology. The research model used is the Plomp Model, namely preliminary research, prototyping phase and assessment phase. The population in this study were students of the Mathematics Education Study Program of STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. The research subjects were taken by purposive sampling. The instrument used was an essay test consisting of pre-test and post-test questions. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The design of this research is One Group Pretest-Postest Design. The analysis technique of the learning outcomes about the effectiveness of the worksheet uses a two-way type t test. The results of the test analysis showed that the average post-test score obtained by students was better than the average pre-test score obtained by the students. It was concluded that the use of ICT-integrated Project Based Learning-based Student Worksheets was effective in improving student learning outcomes in the Spatial Geometry course so that it was effectively used for the learning process. It is hoped that this worksheet can be used as a learning resource that is able to develop the potential of students' abilities and improve student learning outcomes.
