Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has plunged the tourism sector. Tourism industries have ceased operations in line with travel restrictions imposed by most countries. With various considerations, the tourism sector must be reopened. Kemenparekraf said ecotourism has the potential to survive in the post-COVID period. East Java with a variety of ecotourism destinations has the potential to become a leading destination. On the other hand, a pandemic caused changes in tourist behavior. Government policies that prioritize ecotourism; the advantages of East Java's ecotourism attractions; as well as a shift in the tourists' behavior who tend to travel to locations close to home, had an impact on changing tourism patterns in East Java. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach case study to reveal tour patterns in East Java, especially in the cities of Surabaya, Tuban, Batu, Malang City, Malang Regency, and Banyuwangi which contributed to 50% of East Java’s domestic tourist visits. This research was conducted in two phases, where the first stage (literature studies) guides the next phase of qualitative data in the form of interviews with tourism stakeholders. Our findings are that the majority of East Java tourists conduct tours in the regency/city where they live, ecotourism has not become the main choice of domestic tourists, local governments need to further develop potential natural attractions as ecotourism attractions, and existing ecotourism travel patterns are not yet optimized.

Abstract

In this research using descriptive qualitative research method, there is a purpose to know how the role of Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) in tourism development of Nagari Tuo Pariangan in Tanah Datar regency. Besides this research also try to know what factors that support Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) Nagari Tuo Pariangan to develop tourism and do its duty as a driver of regional tourism along with know what factors inhibiting Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) in doing development tourism to carry out its function as a community representative who plunged directly into the field. Based on the results of research that has been done there are results that show Group Awareness Tours (POKDARWIS) Nagari Tuo Pariangan still has shortcomings and constraints faced in carrying out activities based on the scope of its activities. Knowledge and insight about tourism is known to be inadequate for some of its members, other than that the group members also still do not have the capital and ability or experience enough to be able to manage the business related to tourism and organizational management, in addition to the factors that support the Conscious Travel Group (POKDARWIS) Nagari Tuo Pariangan to develop tourism.Keywords: Pokdarwis, Scope of activities Pokdarwis, Development Tourism.

Abstract

Tourism Object of Mangrove Rawa Mekar Jaya is one of the Ecotourism which has quite good facilities in Siak Regency. However, Infrastructure towards the Object is less supportive. Therefore, this study aims to determine (1) General Description to Tourism Objects of Mangrove Rawa Mekar Jaya (2) Visitor Responses to Tourism Objects of Mangrove Rawa Mekar Jaya. This research uses quantitative descriptive method. The subject of this research was the Rawa Mekar Jaya Mangrove of Tourism Visitor. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, observation, documentation, and interviews. The results showed that theTourism Object ofMangrove Rawa Mekar Jaya was located in Rawa Mekar Jaya Village, Sei Apit District, Siak Regency. The Tourism Object of Mangrove Rawa Mekar Jaya was established by the Mangrove Natural Home Tourism Awareness Group with an area of 25 hectares. Visitor Responses to Attractions/Tourist Attraction and Facilities on Mangrove Rawa Mekar Jaya Forest Attractions are in good category. However, the visitor's response to the infrastructure towards the Rawa Mekar Jaya Mangrove Forest Tourism Object is still in enough category. To get there there are many roads that are hollow and dusty. Abstract

This research aims to find out how employee motivation at PT. Riau Karsa Pelita and to find out what factors that affect employee motivation at PT. Riau Karsa Pelita.This research uses descriptive quantitative methods to find out how employee motivation at PT. Pelita Pekanbaru Riau Karsa. As for the respondents in use are all employees of PT Riau Karsa Pelita is drawn using census methods. While the data collection technique in this study using observation, interviews, and questionnaires. By using a Likert scale as a gauge to determine the length of the short interval that can be used to generate quantitative data.Based on the research results, PT Riau Karsa Pelita have noticed employee motivation viewed by using the theory of Maslow's hierarchy of needs are: Physiological Needs, Safety Needs, socializing needs, esteem needs and self-actualization needs. According to respondents, the motivation of the employees working at PT Riau Karsa Pelita included in the high category.Keywords : motivation, human and needs

Abstract

This research is about work discipline of housekeeping employee at Hotel KTM Resort Batam. This study aims to (1) be able to know the existing rules in housekeeping department at Hotel KTM Resort Batam. (2) can know the working discipline of hosekeeping department employees at KTM Resort Batam Hotel. The sample in this study amounted to 14 people using census sempling technique. This research uses quantitative descriptive to categorize data and then use interview. And for data collection techniques in this study using observation and interviews. Based on the results obtained on the motivation of employee housekeeping work at Koh Tien Meng (KTM) Resort Batam is quite good. This is evidenced by interviews in accordance with predetermined indicators.Keywords: Discipline, Housekeeping

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the promotion mix of tourism object and visitor's responds about the promotion mix which had performed by Taman Margasatwa Kasang Kulim's management. The samples on this research are 100 people, who were taken by using accidental sampling. Based on the both of goals to be achieved, this research used descriptive qualitative technique with triangulation method as the testing of the data validity and descriptive quantitative technique with percentage method as the result statements of visitors‟s respond. The results of this research are Taman Margasatwa Kasang Kulim's management has performed the promotional mix in the form of advertising through newspapers and billboard, personal selling, sales promotion, and public relations. Based on the visitors's respond, the ability of the newspaper as a media promotion through advertising has been accomplished amounting to 67,4%, the billboard amounting to 69,3%, sales promotion amounting to 71,5%, and public relations amounting to 80,1%. Overall, the promotion implementation of Taman Margasatwa Kasang Kulim, Kampar regency, Riau province has been accomplished amounting to 71,2%.Keywords: Advertising, Personal Selling, Sales Promotion, Public Relation

Abstract

This research aims to find out the motives and motivators that affect tourists visiting the Tesso Nilo National Park Pelalawan district of Riau province.This research uses descriptive quantitative methods to examine the the problems raised. The sample in this study as many as 100 people were taken using accidential sampling. While data collection techniques in this research use observations, questionnaires and interviews. By using a Likert scale as a measure to determine the length of the short interval.Based on this research is the effect of motivating motivator more tourists to visit the Tesso Nilo National Park of motives. Abstract

The design of this study using qualitative method with explorative approaches. That is research of excavation. Dig to find an image of an object. Tourism has an important rule in the growth of regional progress. In this study aims to find out how the role of an organization that is Asosiasi pelaku pariwisata Indonesia ( ASPPI ) DPD Riau,in developing tourism and knowing wheter efforts through the organization’s programs have an impact to Riau Tourism. Based on the results of research conducted, there are results to show the efforts of bussiness actors in Riau especially Pekanbaru, through this association (ASPPI) already have an impact or influence for tourism development in Riau province. The program activities of this association are active in supporting the implementation of tourism development. Such as the implementation of promotional efforts in the agenda Riau Travel Mart and other tourism discussion activities. Key Word : Role, Program Effort, Tourism Development

Abstract

The image is very important for a tourist attraction, that is to know exactly what is in each individual mind on an object, how they understand and what they like or dislike of the object. So as to increase tourist arrivals in tourist attraction. This research aims to know the visitor's perception about image of King Admiral trusted in the Sea Bengkalis Regency Riau Province. This research used a qualitative method with descriptive approach to examine the problems. For first aims use the interview, and for the second aims use Cross Tabulation techniques. The sample in this research were 60 respondents, taken by using accidental sampling. While data collection techniques in this research use observation, questionnaire, documentation and interviews. By using a Likert Scale as a measure to determine the length of the short interval. With sub-variables that are components of the main image (Kennedy 1977) is divided into Values History, Hygiene, Sanitation, Heritage Collection, Conditions Object, Spatial, amenities, Consistency, Accessibility, Security,, hospitality, and comfort. From the results of research conducted in the field of research on Citra attraction King Admiral trusted in the Sea Bengkalis Regency Riau Province was included in the average category.Keywords: Image Tourism Attractions, The heritage, King Admiral at Sea.

Abstract

The facility is a component that can support the course of activities in a tourist destination. This research was conducted at the Tomb of Syekh Abdurrahman Siddiq located in Teluk Dalam Parit Hidayat Village, Sapat, Kuala Indragiri, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The tomb of Syekh Abdurrahman Siddiq was the Tomb of the first Mufti of the Indragiri Kingdom during the reign of Sultan Mahmud Syah based in Rengat. This tomb is one of the pilgrimage attractions that have been established by the Indragiri Hilir Regency Government. The facilities contained in the Tomb of Syekh Abdurrahman Siddiq consist of the main facilities, supporting facilities and complement facilities where all three must be fulfilled in order to create a good tourist destination. This study aims to find out how to manage the facilities at the Tomb of Syekh Abdurrahman Siddiq. Data of this rearch was obatained from observation, interviews, and documentation, with data collection techniques using key informant purposive sampling. This study describes the general description of Syekh Abdurrahman Siddiq's Tomb Pilgrimage Tourism Area and how to manage the facilities at the Tomb of Syekh Abdurrahman Siddiq starting from the main facilities, supporting facilities to complement facilities.Keywords: Management, Facilities, Pilgrimage, Tomb
