Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve students' speaking skills in Indonesian language subjects by applying story picture card games (karamba) to fifth grade students of SD Negeri Purwosari 1, Sayung sub-district, Demak district. This type of research is a class action research which was conducted in two cycles.  Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages.  The subject of this research was the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Purwosari 1, totaling 30 students.  The object of this research is students' speaking skills. Data collection in this study was done by observation method. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis technique. The results showed that in cycle I, the average score of speaking skills obtained was 76.41 and the average percentage obtained was 75.68%, which was in the low category. In cycle II, the average speaking skill score obtained was 82 and the average percentage obtained was 90.64% in the high category.  The percentage increase from cycle I to cycle II was 14.21%.  This shows that there has been an increase in the percentage of speaking skills of fifth grade students of SD Negeri Purwosari 1. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of karamba games (story picture cards) can improve students' speaking skills in Indonesian language subjects in grade V SD Negeri Purwosari 1, Sayung sub-district, Demak district in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

Durian is a tropical fruit that has economic value for Nias Island especially in North and South Nias. Anthropogenic activity already occured in Nias and caused disturbance resulting in destruction and extinction of various durian. The aim of the research was to analyzed the genetic diversity of Durian from North and South Nias using SSR primers namely: Dz844, DzGCCG01, DzGCAG01, and DzMTb021. Total DNA was successfully isolated from 20 accessions. The DNA was successfully amplified resulting in DNA alleles sizing from 170-1100 bp. All primers showed 33 alleles with 28 polymorphic bands. The DNA profile were further analyzed with Ntsys which showed that 20 accession has coefficient of similarity 0.66-0.94 and clustered into nine groups at the similarity coefficient of 0.80. The research showed that the ninth accession of durian from North and South Nias has a high genetic diversity.

Abstract

Introduction: Umbilical cord care is an act of care and cleaning of the umbilical cord, and try to keep the umbilical cord in a dry and clean condition to prevent infection. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between attitudes, media counseling, and guidance on independent behavior of postpartum mothers in performing umbilical cord care at the Surade Health Center, Sukabumi Regency in 2021. Methods: The design of this study was descriptive-analytic with a cross-sectional approach. In this study, the population of postpartum mothers on the 7th to 9th day in August 2021 at the Surade Health Center was based on data on delivery plans in August 2021 as many as 72 people. The sample in this study amounted to 72 respondents using a total population sampling technique. Researchers used the Chi-Square test. Results: Based on the results of the statistical test, it is known that the attitude variable has a P-value of 0.000, the media counseling variable has a P value of 0.003 and the guidance variable has a P-value of 0.001. Discussion: There is a relationship between attitudes, counseling, and guidance on the independent behavior of postpartum mothers in umbilical cord care at the Surade Health Center, Sukabumi Regency in 2021. Suggestions for the Public Health Centre to socialize with the community, especially postpartum mothers regarding central care.

Abstract

Di antara masalah Kesehatan yang paming umum di Indonesia adalah demam berdarah dengue (DBD). Indonesia adalah negara dengan kasus DBD tertinggi di Asia Tenggara (lebih dari 70% kasus kematian akibat DBD (WHO 2017). Lebih dari 400 ribu kasus virus Dengue meningkat setiap tahun pada 2019. Dalam penelitian ini, metode kajian literatur digunakan. Dalam metode ini, para peneliti mengumpulkan berbagai informasi dari database elektronik seperti Google Scholar, ensiklopedia, dan sebagainya untuk menemukan berbagai teori dan gagasan. Tujuan dari penelitian inikemudian dirumuskan menjadi kesimpulan. Studi ini menunjukan bahwa virus Dengue adalah penyebab penyakit menular Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD), yang ditularkan oleh nyamuk Aedes aegepty atau Aedes alnopictus. Faktor lingkungan fisik, biologi, sosial,dan fisik adalah beberapa faktor lingkungan yang dapat memengaruhi penyebaran kasus DBD. Pemerintah mengeluarkan kebijakan Pemberantasan Sarang Nyamuk (PSN 3M Plus) untuk menangani kasus DBD. Karena belum ada obat atau vaksin untuk membunuh virus DBD, ini dianggap sebagai metode utama yang efektif, efisien, dan hemat biaya untuk memberantas vektor penular DBD.

Abstract

Traditional food is an important part of Indonesia's cultural heritage that has great potential to be developed in the modern culinary industry. One example is Sosis Solo, a typical snack from Surakarta that has a distinctive flavor and cultural appeal. However, amidst the onslaught of fast food and instant consumption trends, the existence of traditional foods such as Sosis Solo faces challenges in reaching today's consumers, especially the younger generation. Based on the previous literature review, it is known that the consumption patterns and behaviors of Indonesian consumers show an interest in foods that have cultural value but are still practical and modern. This research uses a qualitative approach to examine Sosis Solo marketing development strategy through STP (Segmenting, Targeting, Positioning) analysis, SWOT, 4P marketing mix (Product, Price, Place, Promotion), and customer insight. The results of the discussion show that the adaptation of modern packaging, digital-based distribution, local value-based promotion, and cultural storytelling approach can increase public buying interest in this product. These findings are expected to be a reference for MSME players to design marketing strategies that are relevant, sustainable, and based on local wisdom.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the meaning of traffic colors as nonverbal communication for motorcyclists in Bone Regency. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with a semiotic method, namely studying signs and how these signs produce meaning in the communication process. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with two motorcyclists in Bone Regency. The results of the study indicate that the meaning of traffic light colors for each motorcyclist in Bone Regency with the aim of the study to reveal the level of understanding, attitudes, and behavior of drivers in responding to nonverbal messages conveyed by traffic lights, this study emphasizes that traffic lights are not just physical devices, but a sign system whose meaning must be understood and interpreted correctly by the community. Non-compliance with this sign indicates a shift or difference in interpretation in society, which can endanger mutual safety.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: WHO memprediksi kejadian DM akan selalu mengalami peningkatan. Penderita DM sering mengalami kecemasan, yang salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh tingkat spiritualitas. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui hubungan spiritualitas dengan kecemasan penderita diabetes mellitus tipe II.Metode: Jenis penelitian ialah korelasional melalui pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi adalah seluruh penderita diabetes melitus tipe 2 di Kelurahan Karamat Wilayah Kerja UPTD Puskesmas Karangtengah Kota Sukabumi dengan sampel 135 responden melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis statistika menggunakan uji chi-square.Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar memiliki spiritualitas tinggi dan sebagian besar memiliki kecemasan ringan. Analisis chi-square diperoleh nilai p-value 0,000 (p<0,05) sehingga terdapat hubungan spiritualitas dengan kecemasan pasien diabetes mellitus tipe II.Kesimpulan: Adanya hubungan spiritualitas dengan kecemasan pasien diabetes mellitus tipe II di Kelurahan Karamat Wilayah Kerja UPTD Puskesmas Karangtengah Kota Sukabumi. Diharapkan pihak puskesmas dapat meningkatkan edukasi mengenai pentingnya spiritualitas terhadap kecemasan. Diharapkan UPTD Puskesmas Karangtengah Kota Sukabumi dapat memberikan informasi tentang pentingnya melibatkan spiritual di segala aspek khususnya dalam menjalani penyakitnya.

Abstract

Education is a crucial matter in shaping a nation’s future by fostering professional human resources equipped with knowledge and technology. This research explores the contributions of edupreneurship activities to children's development, focusing on fine motor skills, understanding basic economic concepts, and enhancing cognitive and social skills. Using a qualitative and participatory approach, this study involved 15 children at SD Negeri Purwosari 1 in hands-on activities related to the production of "BRAYO CRISPY CHIPS". The findings demonstrate significant improvements in fine motor coordination, as children engaged in tasks like measuring, pouring, and packaging, promoting essential motor skills. Additionally, the initiative fostered an understanding of fundamental economic principles through simulated financial transactions, cultivating economic literacy. Socially, the collaborative nature of the project enhanced teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and confidence among participants. This edupreneurship model not only supports the development of entrepreneurial attitudes in early childhood but also promotes holistic growth across cognitive, social, and physical domains. The study recommends integrating similar edupreneurship activities into early childhood curricula to further enhance independence, creativity, and problem-solving skills, while also suggesting avenues for future research to assess the long-term impacts of such educational interventions.

Abstract

The cycle time is the integral factors of the production process. The higher the cycle time, the longer the time for the production process so as to reduce the efficiency and effectiveness of the production process. Plastic cap production uses an injection molding machine. The time required to produce a plastic cap is relatively high is about 33 seconds. This study aims to reduce the cycle time of plastic caps production during the injection molding process through simulation using Autodesk Moldflow software. Simulation was conducted to determine the optimal temperature parameter where other parameters are kept constant. The design of this simulation experiment used the Taguchi method with an orthogonal array as the simulation matrix. The simulation results was analyzed using the Minitab 19 software to determine the response value of the S/N ratio in the smaller is better category. Based on the value of the S/N ratio, the optimal combination of process temperature parameters is 180°C for melt temperature and 32°C for mold temperature to be able to reduce cycle time by 9.34 seconds. The simulation results show that the cycle time required for plastic cap production is 23.66 seconds.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of directive speech acts in Serial Nussa Season 2. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The research data, namely the character dialogues in the Nussa Season 2 Serial. The data source is on the Nussa Official Youtube Channel. Data collection was carried out by listening, noting, and classifying methods. The research instrument is an observation instrument by directly observing the research object, in this case the researcher uses all five senses, namely sight, hearing, smell, touch, and taste to obtain data. This instrument can be in the form of data cards, video recordings. Data analysis is carried out using the matching technique. Presenting the results of the analysis in a formal and informal manner. The results of the study show that there are 6 types of directive speech acts, namely requests, advice, orders, questions, prohibitions, and agreements. The category of direct literal questions dominates and from each category of directive speech acts in this case the speech acts of direct literal agreement are the least and only one data is found in the Nussa Season 2 series.
