The success of a company is influenced by the performance of its employees, if the employee's performance is good, it will be able to improve the company's performance, while if the performance is bad, it will have an impact on decreasing the company's performance. The decline of employee performance is generally caused by several factors, one of which is due to excessive workloads that cause fatigue on the work done by employees. This study aims to determine the effect of workload on employee performance at the Four Points by Sheraton Bali Ungasan hotel. stratified random sampling technique to 49 respondents. The analysis technique used is validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, simple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination test and t test. The results of this research indicate that there is a significant positive effect between workload variables on employee performance at the Four Points by Sheraton Bali Ungasan Hotel. This is evidenced by the value of t count = 4.675 which is greater than the value of t table = 1.677. The results of the analysis of the coefficient of determination show the effect given is 31.7%.

Abstract

The intense competition in the hospitality industry demands high-quality service, with employee performance being a crucial factor influencing it. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of workload on employee performance in the F&B service department at InterContinental Bali Resort. This research uses quantitative data and includes the entire population of 82 active employees as the sample. The analytical techniques used include validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, simple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination tests, and t-tests. The results show that the workload variable has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a t-value (thitung) greater than the critical t-value (ttabel), specifically 9.721 > 1.664. The workload has a positive beta value of 0.676 on employee performance. Workload contributes to influencing employee performance by 54.2% in the moderate category, while the remaining 45.8% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of training on employee performance in the Housekeeping Department at Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort. Through quantitative methods, this study uses simple linear regression analysis to test the effect of training variables on employee performance. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to Housekeeping employees and analyzed using SPSS 16.0 software. The results showed that there is a significant influence between training and employee performance. This is indicated by the results of the t test, where the calculated t value of 4.992 is greater than the t table of 2.045, which indicates a real relationship between the two variables. In addition, the results of the determination analysis show that training contributes 46.2% to improving employee performance, while the remaining 53.8% is influenced by other variables not mentioned in this study. The conclusion of this study is that training has a significant influence on the performance of Housekeeping employees at Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort, but there are other variables that also play an important role in influencing employee performance. Therefore, hotel management is advised not only to focus on training, but also to pay attention to other factors that can improve overall employee performance.

The sampling technique used in this study was probability sampling with proportionate stratified random sampling due to the heterogeneous nature of the study population. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires using a 5-point Likert scale to measure 24 statement items. The data analysis techniques employed in this study included simple linear analysis, t-tests, and determination coefficients processed using SPSS version 29 for Windows. The results of this study indicated that the work environment has a positive and significant effect of 79,8% on employee performance at Hotel PRL.
