Abstract

The objective of this writing is to explore Iqbal’s thought about religion and politics as the basic concepts of religious freedom. This writing is done by doing research in library and running qualitative research based on philosophical approach. The study is analyzed through descriptive analysis to get accurate results from the objective of the study. The results of the research are: 1) Iqbal’s thought of religion is based on creed (belief), which reflects on rational thought. Iqbal’s effort on reconstruction of religion gives harmony between religion and politics which leads to the society too. 2) The religious freedom from Iqbal’s thought is based on the political ethics concept. His idea is started with the integration between Western thoughts and the Qur’an. Iqbal’s perspective of ego promotes self freedom, so every person can avoid his self from getting perfect spiritual (insane kamil). 3) Individual that lives in “reality as self conscious” concerns on the powers, which will create a harmony to society.  ----------Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi pemikiran agama dan politik Muhammad Iqbal sebagai landasan pemikirannya tentang kebebasan beragama. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode library research dengan jenis penelitian kualitatif melalui pendekatan filsafat. Hasil temuan tulisan inin adalah: 1)Pemikiran keagamaan Iqbal didasarkan pada iman kemudian direfleksikan dalam bentuk pemikiran rasional. Upaya Iqbal dalam merekonstruksi pemikiran agama adalah memberikan keharmonisan pada agama dan politik dalam mencapai kehidupan sosial yang harmoni. 2) Pemikiran Iqbal tentang politik sebagai dasar kebebasan beragama adalah didasarkan pada konsep etika politik. Dasar pemikirannya diawalidengan konsep diri dengan memadukan pemikiran Barat dengan Alquran. Ego bagi Iqbal adalah kausalitas pribadi yang bebas, sehingga setiap individu mesti mampu mengendalikan dirinya untuk mencapai kesempurnaan spiritual (InsanKamil). 3) Individu sebagai reality as self conscious adalah suatu kesadaran akan kekuatannya, dan kesadaran akan tujuan hidupnya yang besar bergabung dalam masyarakat untuk mewujudkan tatanan kehidupan yang harmonis.

Abstract

Anger is basically a normal thing and has been experienced by almost everyone. However, if anger is vented incorrectly, it will have a bad impact, especially on teenagers. The purpose of this study was how the effect of murattal al-Qur'an in reducing anger due to stress, anxiety, and depression in Baznas Vocational High School students in South Sulawesi Province in Makassar City. This research is quantitative in the form of quasi-experimental with a before-after design using the one-group pretest-posttest. The research location is at the Baznas Vocational High School (SMK) of South Sulawesi Province in 2020. The population of all students in grades IX and X is 47 people and a sample of 23 students, but at the end of the study, there were 15 students left after they were heard the murattal al-Qur'ān letter ar-Rahman. a questionnaire in the form of the Novaco Anger Scale (NAS) to see the level of anger and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS) scale to see depression, anxiety, and stress. Students who experienced depression experienced a deficit of 8.27 ± 5.89 (pre-test) increased to 9.07 ± 7.12 (post-test). It was found that the mean difference was SD - 0.80 ± 6.30 (p-Value = 0.63). The group that experienced stress on average was 13.60 ± 8.17 (pre-test) to 13.40 ± 9.53 (post-test) with an SD mean difference of 0.20 ± 5.66 (p-Value = 0.13 ). Experienced anxiety a mean of 14.20 ± 7.52 (pre-test) to 9.07 ± 7.72 (post-test) with a mean SD of 5.17 ± 6.64 (p-Value = 0.89). There was no significant difference in reducing anger that causes depression, stress, and anxiety after the murattal al-Qur'an was heard. However, in stress and anxiety, there was an improvement after hearing the murattal al-Qur'an. It is recommended that educators pay special attention to students who are easily angry because they can disrupt the learning process at school.

Abstract

This writing discusses the thought and Political Movements of an Islamic organization, Wahdah Islamiyah (WI), in South Sulawesi. Research type applied is qualitative, and data collection techniques implemented is open interviews. In addition, secondary data collection is carried out by tracking down information through books, internet, journals and other documents. Research findings show that WI comprises a notion of political thought relating to contemporary issues, such as political concepts, tarbiyah, and Islamic law. WI organization has different agendas in its efforts to develop human resources in South Sulawesi. First of all is formal education, and secondly is Islamic sermon. WI organization provides a department dealing specifically with socio political activities and programs. Moreover, the political strategy of WI organization is to collaborate with the government in efforts of enhancing human resources in South Sulawesi.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas tentang ragam konflik di Indonesia, khususnya terkait dengan isu non pribumi, isu agama dan isu kesukuan. Tujuan tulisan ini adalah untuk mengetahui berbagai sebab terjadinya berbagai konflik dalam konteks sejarah politik di Indonesia. Dalam kenyataannya, ada berbagai sebab terjadinya konflik di Indonesia, seperti keberadaan non-pribumi versus pribumi, konflik agama, khususnya antara agama Islam dan agama Keristen, dan isu kesukuan, khususnya dominasi suku Jawa dalam sejarah panggung politik di Indonesia.Terjadinya konflik atas dasar isu-isu tersebut bermuara pada kesenjangan ekonomi politik yang terjadi seperti kekayaan non-pribumi atas pribumi, kekaayaan minoritas Keristen atas mayoritas umat Islam, dan dominasi suku Jawa atas non Jawa dalam pentas politik. Begitu juga konflik Ambon dan Sambas sebagai konsekuensi logis dominasi ekonomi Bugis Makassar dan dominasi Suku Madura atas penduduk setempat.

Abstract

The idea of civil society is still debated. Some Indonesian Muslim intellectuals state that civil society is connected with the situation at the history of Prophet Muhammad in Madinah. As Nurcholis Madjid and Dawam interpret civil society as synonymous with the Indonesian term masyarakat madani, which refers to the Islamic society in Madinah which was constructed by the prophet Mohammed. Conversely, Wahid disagrees with Madjid and Dawam's idea of Islamic civil society. Wahid’s concept of civil society is linked to his belief that the Pancasila is a more suitable ideology for the development of civil society as it is more accommodating of the ethnic and cultural diversity of Indonesia.

Abstract

This writing discusses about Ibn khaldun’s theory of civil society and its relation with Indonesian civil society. The main purpose of the writing is to seek the connection between Ibn Khaldun concept of civil socity and the historical condition of civil society in Indonesia. The writing is qualitative method through library research. Historical and sociological aproaches are using in this writing to look at the concept and the history of civil society in Indonesia. Ibn Khaldun’s theory of asabiyya contains five levels of civilization cycle in a country, viz. success or consolidation, tyranny, prosperity, satisfied, and enjoy. Ibn Khaldun Analysis of Civil Society in Indonesia seems to have some similarities with the situation of Indonesia. The first level is success or consolidation. In the end of the Dutch colonialism, all Indonesian society was unity and work together faced the Dutch. The second level of Ibn Khaldun’s theory is tyranny. During the Old Order Era and the particular of New Order Era depicted the tyranny of the government. The third level is prosperity. It is hoped that in post-Reformation Era, civil society in Indonesia will get prosperity.

Abstract

This writing explains ICMI (Ikatan Cendekiawan Muslim Indonesia) organization agenda to improve the quality Muslims intellectuals in Indonesia, particularly in educational aspect. This writing is using lybrary research to explore the role of ICMI in educational aspect in Indonesia. It is realize that there are many educational problems in Indonesia, such as teacher-oriented education, passive, less interested to get information from libraries, and not objectively oriented. The main agenda of ICMI organization in developing of Islamic education in Indonesia is that education has to be oriented to help the students to become better Muslims. Introducing modern education is very important in the improvement of the quality of human resources and people's ability to meaningfully participate in an evolving civil society in Indonesia. Moreover, education can be oriented to prepare students to have good behaviour, values, and norms, which in turn plays an important role in the improvement of the quality of civil society in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang hubungan kekuasaan antara lembaga adat dan pemerintah desa dengan maksud untuk mempercepat terwujudnya kesejahteraan masyarakat dan tujuan mengoptimalkan pelayanan, pengelolaan, pembangunan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan menggunakan teori kekuasaan,teori relasi sosial dan teori peran sosial untuk melihat relasi kekuasaan kedua entitas tersebut. Secara umum, penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa terdapat dua bentuk hubungan kekuasaan lembaga adat dan pemerintah di Desa Tubo yaitu; Pertama, hubungan simbiosis komensalisme yaitu dalam hal pembangunan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Kedua,hubungan konflik yaitu menginginkan adanya bantuan pemerintah dalam hal identitas adat (berupa baju adat).
