Abstract

Tulungagung Regency ranks 18th with 2,901 stunting cases, the equivalent of 5.51% in East Java. More specifically, stunting cases in Kauman District, Tulungagung Regency, reached 104 or around 3.6%. One of the causes of stunting is iron (Zn) deficiency. The Tulungagung Regency Agriculture Service conducted an Inpari IR Nutri Zinc Rice cultivation development program for the Ngudi Makmur Farmers Group in Balerejo Village, Kauman District, to support reducing stunting cases. Cultivating Inpari IR Nutri Zinc Rice has been carried out well. However, an analysis of the costs and feasibility of farming has yet to be carried out, so further research needs to be conducted. This research aims to determine the costs and feasibility of cultivating Inpari IR Nutri Zinc Rice. This research was a quantitative descriptive study involving the participation of 30 respondents belonging to the Ngudi Makmur Farmers Group, Balerejo Village, Kauman District, determined by census. Cost analysis calculations included variable and fixed costs so that income and receipts would be known. Feasibility analysis was calculated using the R/C ratio. The study findings showed that the average expenditure figure for Inpari IR Nutri Zinc Rice agricultural activities in the Ngudi Makmur Farmer Group was IDR10,382,373 with an income of IDR19,463,007 per ha in one planting season. The R/C ratio calculation result was 2.88. This shows that the Inpari IR Nutri Zinc Rice cultivation business is profitable and feasible. Kabupaten Tulungagung menempati urutan ke-18 dengan jumlah 2901 kasus stunting atau setara dengan 5,51% di Jawa Timur. Lebih spesifik lagi, kasus stunting di Kecamatan Kauman Kabupaten Tulungagung mencapai 104 atau sekitar 3,6%. Salah satu penyebab stunting yaitu kekurangan zat besi (Zn). Dinas Pertanian Kabupaten Tulungagung melakukan program pembinaan budidaya Padi Inpari IR Nutri Zinc kepada Kelompok Tani Ngudi Makmur Desa Balerejo Kecamatan Kauman untuk mendukung penurunan kasus stunting. Proses budidaya Padi Inpari IR Nutri Zinc telah dilakukan dengan baik, namun belum dilakukan analisis biaya serta kelayakan usahataninya sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui biaya dan kelayakan usaha budidaya Padi Inpari IR Nutri Zinc. Penelitian ini adalah suatu studi deskriptif kuantitatif yang melibatkan partisipasi dari 30 responden anggota Kelompok Tani Ngudi Makmur Desa Balerejo Kecamatan Kauman yang ditentukan secara sensus. Penghitungan analisis biaya meliputi biaya variabel dan biaya tetapsehingga akan diketahui pendapatan dan penerimaan. Analisis kelayakan dihitung menggunakan R/C ratio. Temuan studi menunjukkan angka rata-rata pengeluaran dalam kegiatan pertanian Padi Inpari IR Nutri Zinc pada Kelompok Tani Ngudi Makmur sebesar Rp10.382.373 dengan pendapatan sebesar Rp 19.463.007 per ha dalam satu musim tanam. Hasil perhitungan R/C ratio sebesar 2,88. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa usahatani budidaya Padi Inpari IR Nutri Zinc menguntungkan dan layak untuk dijalankan.

Abstract

This research aims to increase rice production by introducing Liquid Organic fertilizers (POC) as an alternative to chemical fertilizers. Farmers have so far only relied on chemical fertilizers, causing a decrease in soil fertility and an increase in the use of subsidized chemical fertilizers. The research was conducted in the village of Tuliskramat, Ploso District, Jombang Regency, which is a rice production center. The research method used observation, filling in a list of questions, interviews, and direct documentation for 40 respondent farmers (8 POC user farmers and 32 non-user farmers). Primary and secondary data were analyzed using farming costs, revenues, income, and comparative t-tests. The results showed that the average rice production with POC reached 7,000 kg/ha, while 6,489 kg/ha without POC. Rice farming income with POC (IDR21,426,010.00/ha) is higher than without POC (IDR18,228,966.00/ha). Hypothesis testing shows a significant difference between the two, indicating that using POC provides more significant rice farming income than without POC. This research implies the importance of adopting POC to increase farmers' yields and income and reduce dependence on subsidized chemical fertilizers. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produksi padi dengan mengenalkan Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) sebagai alternatif penggunaan pupuk kimia. Petani selama ini hanya mengandalkan pupuk kimia, menyebabkan penurunan kesuburan tanah dan peningkatan penggunaan pupuk kimia yang bersubsidi semakin berkurang. Penelitian dilakukan di desa Tanggungkramat, Kecamatan Ploso, Kabupaten Jombang, yang merupakan sentra produksi padi. Metode penelitian menggunakan observasi, pengisian daftar pertanyaan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi langsung kepada 40 petani responden (8 petani pengguna POC dan 32 petani non-pengguna). Data primer dan sekunder dianalisis dengan metode biaya usahatani, penerimaan usahatani pendapatan usahatani, dan uji t komparatif. Hasil menunjukkan rata-rata produksi padi dengan POC mencapai 7.000 kg/ha, sedangkan tanpa POC sebesar 6.489 kg/ha. Pendapatan usahatani padi dengan POC (Rp21.426.010/ha) lebih tinggi daripada tanpa POC (Rp18.228.966/ha). Uji hipotesis menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara keduanya, mengindikasikan bahwa penggunaan POC memberikan pendapatan usahatani padi yang lebih besar dibandingkan tanpa POC. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya adopsi POC untuk meningkatkan hasil dan pendapatan petani serta mengurangi ketergantungan pada pupuk kimia bersubsidi.

Abstract

Sari Tani Agricultural Store, strategically located in Kediri City, needs help increasing agricultural product sales despite being surrounded by various vendors. This study aims to explore effective promotional strategies to boost sales at this store. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with respondents consisting of regular buyers, loyal buyers, and resellers. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations to understand how each buyer category became aware of Sari Tani Agricultural Store, particularly about using social media as a promotional tool. The results indicate that promotions via social media, especially Facebook, effectively attract regular and loyal buyers, while resellers, mostly outside Kediri City, learned about the store through online references. The main factors influencing loyalty are product quality and satisfactory service. This study suggests enhancing social media interactions and diversifying promotional platforms to increase sales and market reach further. In conclusion, social media promotional strategies effectively boost sales and customer loyalty at Sari Tani Agricultural Store, providing practical insights for store managers to develop more effective and sustainable marketing strategies. Toko Pertanian Sari Tani, terletak strategis di Kota Kediri, menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan penjualan produk pertanian meskipun posisinya dikelilingi oleh berbagai pedagang. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi strategi promosi efektif untuk meningkatkan penjualan di toko ini. Metode kualitatif deskriptif digunakan dengan responden terdiri dari 25 pembeli biasa, 3 pembeli loyal, dan 2 pembeli reseller. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi untuk memahami cara setiap kategori pembeli mengetahui Toko Pertanian Sari Tani, terutama terkait penggunaan media sosial sebagai alat promosi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa promosi melalui media sosial, khususnya Facebook, efektif menarik pembeli biasa dan loyal, sementara pembeli reseller, yang sebagian besar dari luar Kota Kediri, mengetahui toko melalui referensi online. Faktor utama yang mempengaruhi loyalitas adalah kualitas produk dan pelayanan. Penelitian ini menyarankan peningkatan interaksi di media sosial dan diversifikasi platform promosi untuk lebih meningkatkan penjualan dan jangkauan pasar. Kesimpulannya, strategi promosi media sosial efektif dalam meningkatkan penjualan dan loyalitas pelanggan di Toko Pertanian Sari Tani, memberikan wawasan praktis bagi pengelola toko untuk mengembangkan strategi pemasaran yang lebih efektif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Shallots are used as a spice and spice; they are also used as traditional medicine ingredients and play a role in helping increase people's income in national development, one of which is the shallot plant. This research aims to determine the costs, income, and feasibility of shallot farming using the slash system in Nglinggo Village, Gondang District, Nganjuk Regency. This research was carried out purposively in Nglinggo village, Gondang district, Nganjuk district. This location was chosen because it is one of the centers for developing shallot farming. The sampling method used in this research was census (saturated sampling). Based on the survey results and these criteria, the number of farmers was 30 respondents. The types of data used in this research are primary and secondary. The data analysis methods include farming costs, revenue analysis, income analysis, R/C ratio, and profitability analysis. The results of research on the analysis of shallot farming using the slash marketing system showed that the average total production cost for shallot farming is IDR 88,109,666.7/Ha, the total revenue from shallot farming is IDR 128,313,365/Ha, the average shallot farming income is IDR 40,203,698/Ha. The R/C Ratio is 1.46, and profitability is 15.2%.   Salah satu bumbu yang sering digunakan adalah bawang merah. Bawang merah juga bermanfaat untuk obat tradisional dan berperan dalam peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat. Riset ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui biaya dan pendapatan serta pemasaran bawang merah dengan sistem tebasan di Desa Nglinggo Kecamatan Gondang Kabupaten Nganjuk. Riset ini dilaksanakan secara sengaja di Desa Nglinggo karena daerah tersebut salah satu sentral pengembangan usahatani bawang merah. Metode sensus digunakan untuk pengambilan sampel. Berdasarkan hasil survei dan juga kriteria tersebut, maka jumlah petani adalah 30 responden. Jenis Data utama dan data tambahan diperlukan pada riset ini. Metode analisis data yang dilakukan antara lain biaya usahatani, pendapatan, penerimaan, R/C Ratio serta rentabilitas. Hasil riset tentang analisis usahatani bawang merah dengan sistem pemasaran tebasan ini menunjukkan total biaya produksi usahatani bawang merah Rp.88.109.666,7/Ha, total penerimaan usahatani bawang merah Rp. 128.313.365/Ha, dengan pendapatan senilai Rp. 40.203.698/Ha. R/C Ratio sebesar 1,46 serta rentabilitas 15,2%.

Abstract

Inorganic waste is generally difficult to decompose, so that it can pollute the environment. One of the inorganic wastes that can be reused is plastic bottle waste, which can be used as a planting medium. Based on the background of this problem, community service was carried out by involving the community from various representative elements, including LPMD (Empowerment Community Village Institution), PokMas (Group Community), Karang Taruna, PKK (Fostering Family Welfare), and youth from the Joho Village mosque, Semen District, Kediri Regency. The aim of this activity is outreach and education to the public to reduce the production of plastic waste because of its dangers to health and environmental sustainability (reduce principle) and training and direct practice in skills for reusing plastic bottle waste into more valuable goods (reuse principle). The emancipatory participation method was applied to activities so that interaction and dialogue occur with residents through education and training activities with three stages: survey stage, preparation stage, and implementation of education and practical skills training. From this community service activity, it was concluded that education about the dangers of plastic waste for health and environmental sustainability can run well and smoothly. The participants were enthusiastic about participating in the skills training for making plant pots from various waste plastic bottles. Limbah anorganik umumnya sulit terurai sehingga dapat mencemari lingkungan. Salah satu sampah an-organik yang dapat dimanfaatkan kembali (reuse) adalah limbah botol plastik yang dapat digunakan sebagai tempat media tanam. Dari latar belakang permasalahan tersebut, maka pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan masyarakat dari berbagai unsur perwakilan, di antaranya dari LPMD, PokMas, Karang Taruna, PKK, dan remaja masjid Desa Joho, Kecamatan Semen, Kabupaten Kediri. Adapun tujuan kegiatan ini adalah sosialisasi dan edukasi ke masyarakat untuk mengurangi produksi limbah plastik karena bahayanya bagi kesehatan dan kelestarian lingkungan (prinsip reduce) dan pelatihan dan praktek langsung ketrampilan pemanfaatan kembali limbah botol plastik menjadi barang yang lebih bernilai (prinsip reuse). Metode partisipasi emansipatoris diterapkan pada kegiatan sehingga terjadi interaksi dan dialog dengan warga melalui kegiatan edukasi dan pelatihan dengan tiga tahapan, yaitu: tahap survei, tahap persiapan, dan pelaksanaan edukasi dan pelatihan praktek ketrampilan. Dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa edukasi tentang bahayanya limbah plastik bagi kesehatan dan kelestarian lingkungan dapat berjalan dengan baik dan lancar. Para peserta antusias dalam mengikuti pelatihan ketrampilan pembuatan pot tanaman dari berbagai limbah botol plastik.

Abstract

The majority of people in Karangan Village work as rice farmers. The majority of farmers use chemical fertilizers, which, in the long term, can reduce soil fertility and rice productivity. In addition, chemical fertilizers are also scarce and prices are increasing. Therefore, the use of organic fertilizers from cow dung waste can be an alternative to reduce dependence on expensive and scarce chemical fertilizers. Organic fertilizers contain organic materials that can increase soil fertility. Community service activities carried out in Karangan Village aim to provide practical solutions to various problems faced by the community, especially in the agricultural sector and community development. The implementation of this program went smoothly, and most of its objectives were achieved. The community gained new knowledge about organic fertilizers and sustainable agricultural techniques. The results of the demonstration in the field showed an increase in crop yields, which encouraged farmers to adopt this technology. In addition, cooperation activities to improve village infrastructure also increased the accessibility of agricultural land, which had a positive impact on the daily productivity of farmers. Masyarakat di Desa Karangan mayoritas bekerja sebagai petani padi. Mayoritas petani menggunakan pupuk kimia yang dalam jangka panjang dapat menurunkan kesuburan tanah dan produktivitas padi. Selain itu, pupuk kimia juga mengalami kelangkaan dan peningkatan harga. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan pupuk organik dari limbah kotoran sapi dapat menjadi alternatif untuk mengurangi ketergantungan pada pupuk kimia yang mahal dan langka. Pupuk organik mengandung bahan organik yang dapat meningkatkan kesuburan tanah. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan di Desa Karangan bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi praktis bagi berbagai masalah yang dihadapi masyarakat, khususnya dalam sektor pertanian dan pengembangan komunitas. Pelaksanaan program ini berjalan lancar dan sebagian besar tujuannya tercapai. Masyarakat memperoleh pengetahuan baru tentang pupuk organik dan teknik pertanian berkelanjutan. Hasil dari demonstrasi di lapangan menunjukkan peningkatan hasil panen, yang mendorong petani untuk mengadopsi teknologi ini. Selain itu, kegiatan gotong royong untuk memperbaiki infrastruktur desa juga meningkatkan aksesibilitas lahan pertanian, yang berdampak positif pada produktivitas harian para petani.

Abstract

Public health is essential for the resilience of Indonesian society, especially for future generations, and meeting nutritional needs. Rice (paddy), a staple food for Indonesians, plays a crucial role in human health. Ensuring its safety and nutritional value requires attention to the entire production process, from seed selection, cultivation, and plant maintenance to harvest and post-harvest handling. Given the high prevalence of malnutrition and stunting, the government has initiated programs to address these issues. In 2019, the Ministry of Agriculture introduced Inpari IR Nutri Zinc, a new rice variety rich in iron and zinc, to combat these problems. The research aimed to (1) determine the feasibility of farming this variety and (2) assess the efficiency of production factor usage in Nutrizinc Inpari 48 rice farming. This quantitative study, with a descriptive approach, was conducted through a survey, intentionally selecting the "NGUDI MAKMUR" farmer group in Balerejo Village, Kauman District, Tulungagung Regency, which implements the Nutrizinc Inpari 48 rice planting program. A census method was used to sample 30 farmers. Data analysis involved (1) Feasibility Analysis: R/C Ratio and (2) Hypothesis Testing. The results concluded that Nutrizinc Inpari 48 rice farming is feasible in using production factors such as fertilizers, pesticides, and labor. This study highlights the importance of targeted agricultural interventions in improving public health through enhanced nutritional intake.

Abstract

Food sector agriculture is one of the important sub-sectors in national food security; one of its commodities is corn. This commodity has been cultivated in various regions, especially in East Java, which has high productivity, including in the Kediri Regency, where members of the Makmur II Farmers Group in Mojoayu Village, Plemahan District, widely cultivated. Various factors, including planting time patterns, influence corn productivity in the region. This is because planting time patterns based on climate change cause temperature, rainfall, etc., changes related to optimal corn productivity. The research method used quantitative description. The research was conducted in Mojoayu Village using total sampling from the entire population of Makmur II Farmers Group members of 200 farmers. The data were analyzed using descriptive tests, and the T and F tests tested the hypothesis. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the productivity of corn plants in the second planting season was 6,818.82 kg/ha. The third planting season was 6,851.51 kg/ha, which means that planting season patterns do not affect theproductivity of corn plants in Mojoayu Village, Plemahan District, Kediri Regency. Pertanian sektor pangan menjadi salah satu subsektor penting dalam ketahanan pangan nasional, salah komoditasnya adalah Jagung. Komoditas ini telah diusahakan diberbagai wilayah khususnya di Jawa Timur yang memiliki produktivitas yang besar, termasuk di Kabupaten Kediri yang banyak dibudidayakan oleh anggota Kelompok Tani Makmur II di Desa Mojoayu Kecamatan Plemahan. Produktivitas jagung di wilayah tersebut diduga dipengaruhi oleh beragam faktor, diantaranya adalah pola waktu tanam. Hal ini dikarenakan pola waktu tanam yang didasarkan pada perubahan iklim menyebabkan perubahan suhu, curah hujan, dll yang berhubungan dengan optimalnya produktivitas jagung. Metode penelitian menggunakan dekskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian akan dilaksanakan di Desa Mojoayu dengan menggunakan sampling total dari seluruh populasi anggota Kelompok Tani Makmur II sebanyak 200 petani. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji deskriptif dan hipotesis diuji menggunakan Uji T dan Uji F. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa produktivitas tanaman jagung pada musim tanam kedua adalah sebesar 6.818,82 kg/ha dan musim tanam ketiga adalah sebesar 6.851,51 kg/ha, yang artinya perubahan pola musim tanam tidak mempengaruhi produktivitas tanaman jagung di Desa Mojoayu Kecamatan Plemahan Kabupaten Kediri.

Abstract

This study analyzes the income and R/C ratio in the Tuna Shredded Fish business, Inti Rasa Bu Peni UMKM, with a wholesale and retail sales system. This research used a case study, and the sample was determined purposively (purposive sampling). The research location was Inti Rasa Bu Peni UMKM, Tegalkamulyan Village, South Cilacap District, Cilacap Regency. The data used were primary and secondary. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and recording. The study results showed that the total costs incurred by the MSME businessman Inti Rasa Bu Peni's shredded tuna in 2022 are IDR115,654,500 with each sales system of IDR56,682,250 for wholesale sales and IDR58,972,250 for retail sales. Revenue obtained in 2022 with a wholesale and retail sales system is IDR118,750,000 and IDR113,750,000, total IDR232,00,000. The income earned by shredded tuna entrepreneurs in 2022 is IDR57,067,750 for wholesale sales, and IDR59,777,750 for retail sales, with a total value of IDR116,845,500. The R/C ratio obtained is 2.00 for wholesale sales and 2.01 for retail sales. With this business analysis, both sales systems are profitable and feasible. Perbedaan sistem penjualan akan mempengaruhi pendapatan suatu usaha. Tujuan riset ini untuk menganalisis pendapatan dan R/C Ratio pada usaha Abon Tuna UMKM Inti Rasa Bu Peni dengan sistem penjualan grosir dan ecer. Riset ini menggunakan studi kasus dan sampel ditentukan secara sengaja. Penelitian berada di UMKM Inti Rasa Bu Peni Kelurahan Tegalkamulyan Kecamatan Cilacap Selatan Kabupaten Cilacap. Data yang digunakan melibatkan penggunaan data primer dan data sekunder. Proses pengumpulan data dilaksanakan melalui metode pengamatan, interview serta pencatatan. Hasil riset mengemukakan bahwa total biaya pengolahan abon ikan pada UMKM Inti Rasa Bu Peni pada tahun 2022 adalah Rp115.654.500 dengan masing-masing sistem penjualan sebesar Rp56.682.250 untuk penjualan grosir dan Rp58.972.250 untuk penjualan ecer. Penerimaan yang diperoleh pada tahun 2022 dengan sistem penjualan grosir dan ecer yaitu sebesar Rp118.750.000 dan 113.750.000 dengan nilai total senilai Rp232.00.000. Pendapatan yang diperoleh oleh pengusaha abon ikan tuna pada tahun 2022 adalah Rp57.067.750 untuk penjualan grosir Rp59.777.750 untuk penjualan ecer dengan nilai total Rp116.845.500. Nilai R/C Ratio yang didapat adalah 2,00 untuk penjualan grosir dan 2,01 untuk penjualan ecer. Sistem penjualan grosir maupun ecer sama-sama menguntungkan serta layak untuk diusahakan.

Abstract

This article highlights a community initiative aimed at promoting sustainable household liquid waste management in Kediri City, Indonesia. The problem identified was the insufficient attention given to liquid waste, particularly used cooking oil, which often leads to environmental pollution and infrastructure damage. The objective of the activity was to raise awareness among residents about the proper disposal and recycling of used cooking oil. The proposed approach involved conducting workshops, training sessions, and awareness campaigns to educate community members about the environmental impacts of improper disposal and the benefits of recycling used cooking oil into aromatic candles. Major findings revealed that through collaborative efforts with local officials and community organizations, the initiative successfully engaged community members and fostered a sense of responsibility towards waste management. The training programs empowered participants with practical skills to convert used cooking oil into aromatic candles, promoting the repurposing of waste while creating a pleasant atmosphere. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of community participation and public awareness in ensuring sustainable liquid waste management. The initiative showcased the feasibility of recycling used cooking oil and highlighted the potential for broader adoption of similar practices in other regions. Overall, the activity underscored the significance of individual actions in collectively addressing environmental challenges and encouraged the adoption of responsible waste management practices at the household level.
