Abstract

Food sector agriculture is one of the important sub-sectors in national food security; one of its commodities is corn. This commodity has been cultivated in various regions, especially in East Java, which has high productivity, including in the Kediri Regency, where members of the Makmur II Farmers Group in Mojoayu Village, Plemahan District, widely cultivated. Various factors, including planting time patterns, influence corn productivity in the region. This is because planting time patterns based on climate change cause temperature, rainfall, etc., changes related to optimal corn productivity. The research method used quantitative description. The research was conducted in Mojoayu Village using total sampling from the entire population of Makmur II Farmers Group members of 200 farmers. The data were analyzed using descriptive tests, and the T and F tests tested the hypothesis. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the productivity of corn plants in the second planting season was 6,818.82 kg/ha. The third planting season was 6,851.51 kg/ha, which means that planting season patterns do not affect theproductivity of corn plants in Mojoayu Village, Plemahan District, Kediri Regency. Pertanian sektor pangan menjadi salah satu subsektor penting dalam ketahanan pangan nasional, salah komoditasnya adalah Jagung. Komoditas ini telah diusahakan diberbagai wilayah khususnya di Jawa Timur yang memiliki produktivitas yang besar, termasuk di Kabupaten Kediri yang banyak dibudidayakan oleh anggota Kelompok Tani Makmur II di Desa Mojoayu Kecamatan Plemahan. Produktivitas jagung di wilayah tersebut diduga dipengaruhi oleh beragam faktor, diantaranya adalah pola waktu tanam. Hal ini dikarenakan pola waktu tanam yang didasarkan pada perubahan iklim menyebabkan perubahan suhu, curah hujan, dll yang berhubungan dengan optimalnya produktivitas jagung. Metode penelitian menggunakan dekskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian akan dilaksanakan di Desa Mojoayu dengan menggunakan sampling total dari seluruh populasi anggota Kelompok Tani Makmur II sebanyak 200 petani. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji deskriptif dan hipotesis diuji menggunakan Uji T dan Uji F. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa produktivitas tanaman jagung pada musim tanam kedua adalah sebesar 6.818,82 kg/ha dan musim tanam ketiga adalah sebesar 6.851,51 kg/ha, yang artinya perubahan pola musim tanam tidak mempengaruhi produktivitas tanaman jagung di Desa Mojoayu Kecamatan Plemahan Kabupaten Kediri.

Abstract

This study analyzes the income and R/C ratio in the Tuna Shredded Fish business, Inti Rasa Bu Peni UMKM, with a wholesale and retail sales system. This research used a case study, and the sample was determined purposively (purposive sampling). The research location was Inti Rasa Bu Peni UMKM, Tegalkamulyan Village, South Cilacap District, Cilacap Regency. The data used were primary and secondary. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and recording. The study results showed that the total costs incurred by the MSME businessman Inti Rasa Bu Peni's shredded tuna in 2022 are IDR115,654,500 with each sales system of IDR56,682,250 for wholesale sales and IDR58,972,250 for retail sales. Revenue obtained in 2022 with a wholesale and retail sales system is IDR118,750,000 and IDR113,750,000, total IDR232,00,000. The income earned by shredded tuna entrepreneurs in 2022 is IDR57,067,750 for wholesale sales, and IDR59,777,750 for retail sales, with a total value of IDR116,845,500. The R/C ratio obtained is 2.00 for wholesale sales and 2.01 for retail sales. With this business analysis, both sales systems are profitable and feasible. Perbedaan sistem penjualan akan mempengaruhi pendapatan suatu usaha. Tujuan riset ini untuk menganalisis pendapatan dan R/C Ratio pada usaha Abon Tuna UMKM Inti Rasa Bu Peni dengan sistem penjualan grosir dan ecer. Riset ini menggunakan studi kasus dan sampel ditentukan secara sengaja. Penelitian berada di UMKM Inti Rasa Bu Peni Kelurahan Tegalkamulyan Kecamatan Cilacap Selatan Kabupaten Cilacap. Data yang digunakan melibatkan penggunaan data primer dan data sekunder. Proses pengumpulan data dilaksanakan melalui metode pengamatan, interview serta pencatatan. Hasil riset mengemukakan bahwa total biaya pengolahan abon ikan pada UMKM Inti Rasa Bu Peni pada tahun 2022 adalah Rp115.654.500 dengan masing-masing sistem penjualan sebesar Rp56.682.250 untuk penjualan grosir dan Rp58.972.250 untuk penjualan ecer. Penerimaan yang diperoleh pada tahun 2022 dengan sistem penjualan grosir dan ecer yaitu sebesar Rp118.750.000 dan 113.750.000 dengan nilai total senilai Rp232.00.000. Pendapatan yang diperoleh oleh pengusaha abon ikan tuna pada tahun 2022 adalah Rp57.067.750 untuk penjualan grosir Rp59.777.750 untuk penjualan ecer dengan nilai total Rp116.845.500. Nilai R/C Ratio yang didapat adalah 2,00 untuk penjualan grosir dan 2,01 untuk penjualan ecer. Sistem penjualan grosir maupun ecer sama-sama menguntungkan serta layak untuk diusahakan.

Abstract

This article highlights a community initiative aimed at promoting sustainable household liquid waste management in Kediri City, Indonesia. The problem identified was the insufficient attention given to liquid waste, particularly used cooking oil, which often leads to environmental pollution and infrastructure damage. The objective of the activity was to raise awareness among residents about the proper disposal and recycling of used cooking oil. The proposed approach involved conducting workshops, training sessions, and awareness campaigns to educate community members about the environmental impacts of improper disposal and the benefits of recycling used cooking oil into aromatic candles. Major findings revealed that through collaborative efforts with local officials and community organizations, the initiative successfully engaged community members and fostered a sense of responsibility towards waste management. The training programs empowered participants with practical skills to convert used cooking oil into aromatic candles, promoting the repurposing of waste while creating a pleasant atmosphere. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of community participation and public awareness in ensuring sustainable liquid waste management. The initiative showcased the feasibility of recycling used cooking oil and highlighted the potential for broader adoption of similar practices in other regions. Overall, the activity underscored the significance of individual actions in collectively addressing environmental challenges and encouraged the adoption of responsible waste management practices at the household level.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of transformational leadership and work motivation on the performance of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in government agencies. Data were collected quantitatively by distributing questionnaires to 120 ASN from various divisions. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to see the relationship between variables. The results showed that transformational leadership significantly improved ASN performance, marked by increased initiative, responsibility, and service orientation. Work motivation also had a strong influence on increasing ASN productivity and work quality. The conclusion of this study is that leadership style and internal motivation are two main factors that influence ASN performance. These findings imply that government agencies need to invest in leadership development and motivation enhancement strategies to strengthen the quality of public services.

Abstract

Mango (Mangifera indica L.) is a seasonal tropical fruit and usually harvesting at October until December in Indonesia. In Kediri Regency, one of local variety mango known as ‘Podang Urang’ had been harvested and the production is high. When the harvesting time, the price of ‘Podang Urang’ mango is very cheap around IDR1,600 per kg on wholesale market in Kediri. This condition certainly will adverse the farmers. In order to decrease this risk that faced by farmers, this locally mango could be potential to process as mayonnaise to increase of the price value. This research aimed to process ‘Podang Urang’ mango as mayonnaise, characterize their physicochemical and sensory characteristics, and compare the mayonnaise product as prescribed by the quality requirement criteria of Indonesian National Standard (SNI) No. 01-4473-1998. The mango with 90% maturity was sorted, peelded, and blended. This puree was added with various of full cream milk, citric acid (0.3%), and palm oil (2%) and processed to be mayonnaise. The result showed that the ‘Podang urang’ mango mayonnaise with added with full cream milk (50:50%/B2) had emulsion stability about 99.99%, lightness (L*) of 45.96, protein content of 1.39%, pH of 6.57, vitamin C about 16.43%, and moisture content about 62.67%. This mayonnaise composition (50% of mango puree and 50% of full cream milk) was likely by the panelists in terms of color (7.12), flavor (7.12), taste (7.04), thickness (7.04), and overall acceptable about 7.20. This study provides the utilization of Kediri locally mango (‘Podang Urang’) as a diverse food product, which is acceptable to the panelists and adds value to the raw material.   Keywords: diversity of product, local mango, mayonnaise, ‘Podang Urang’

Abstract

Suatu usahatani pembibitan tanaman sayuran berlokasi di Desa Tegalan Kecamatan Kandat Kabupaten Kediri yang bernama Jamaah Tani Nursery termasuk ke dalam usahatani perintis yang sukses dan menjadi pelopor usaha sejenis di lokasi tersebut. Usahatani ini bahkan memperluas usahataninya hingga ke Kabupaten Blitar dan Tulungagung. Tanaman sayuran yang diproduksi pada usahatani pembibitan ini terdiri dari bibit cabai, bibit sawi, dan bibit terong. Penelitian dilakukan pada usahatani ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui usaha pembibitan tanaman sayuran manakah yang memberikan keuntungan paling tinggi. Tujuan kedua penelitian adalah untuk menghitung break event point (BEP) masing-masing bibit sayuran tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode obervasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap performa usahatani dan petani (pelakunya), selaku pemilik usaha pembibitan tanaman sayuran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitan, diketahui bahwa secara keseluruhan pendapatan yang paling tinggi diperoleh petani di tanaman sayuran bibit cabai. Sementara itu, BEP produksi di Kabupaten Kediri untuk bibit sawi adalah 1,442 polibag, bibit cabai 1.106 polibag, dan bibit terong 1,447 dengan BEP harga bibit sawi Rp96,15, bibit cabai Rp96,70, dan bibit terong Rp144,73. Sedangkan untuk BEP produksi di Kabupaten Blitar untuk bibit sawi adalah 1,710 polibag, bibit cabai 1,150 polibag, dan terong sebanyak 1,297 polibag dengan BEP harga bibit sawi Rp128,23, bibit cabai Rp172,48, dan bibit terong Rp129,73. BEP produksi bibit sawi di Kabupaten Tulungagung adalah 1,643 polibag, bibit cabai 1,117 polibag, dan bibit terong 1,247 polibag dengan BEP harga untuk bibit sawi, cabai, dan terong masing-masing Rp123,23, Rp167,48, dan Rp124,73.

Abstract

Increasing rice production is an absolute thing to support national food security. This is inseparable from the inputs used by farmers in farming activities, one of which is the use of fertilizers. Fertilization is an important factor for nutrient supply during the plant growth cycle. There are two types of fertilizers used in the community, namely chemical fertilizers and organic fertilizers. The development of the two types of fertilizers is like two sides of a coin. Chemical fertilizers do have the advantage of speeding up the harvest process more than organic fertilizers. Some of the effects of chemical fertilizers are starting from an unbalanced ecosystem. The price of chemical fertilizers is getting more and more expensive amid the farmers' need to accelerate and increase the amount of production. This can be avoided by starting to use organic fertilizers. A study was conducted on the efficiency of rice farming with additional liquid organic fertilizer (POC). Using quantitative research methods, its approach was descriptive and associative analysis. The sample used was 50 farmers in Sawuh Village, Siman District, Ponorogo Regency. The sample was taken from 94 rice farmers who used additional POC fertilizer. Rice farming with additional POC fertilizer can be considered efficient and affects rice production. The average production per hectare was 7,296 Kg of harvested dry grain. The average cost incurred for rice farming using additional POC fertilizer was IDR18,263,319 per hectare. The income of rice farming using additional POC fertilizer per hectare was IDR14,932,207 in one growing season.Peningkatan produksi padi adalah suatu hal yang mutlak demi menunjang ketahanan pangan nasional. Hal ini tidak terlepas dari input yang digunakan oleh petani dalam aktifitas bercocok tanam, salah satunya adalah penggunaan pupuk. Pemupukan sebagai faktor penting untuk persediaan unsur hara selama siklus pertumbuhan tanaman. Penggunaan pupuk di masyarakat ada dua jenis, yaitu pupuk kimia dan pupuk organik. Perkembangan kedua jenis pupuk tersebut seakan seperti dua sisi koin. Pupuk kimia memang memiliki keunggulan untuk mempercepat proses panen daripada pupuk organik. Beberapa dampak pupuk kimia ialah mulai dari ekosistem yang menjadi tidak seimbang. Harga pupuk kimia yang semakin hari semakin mahal di tengah kebutuhan petani untuk mempercepat dan memperbanyak jumlah produksinya. Hal tersebut bisa dihindari dengan mulai penggunaan pupuk organik. Artikel ini melakukan peneltian yang berfokus pada efisiensi usahatani padi dengan pupuk tambahan Pupuk Organik Cair (POC). Menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan analisis asosiatif. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 50 petani di Desa Sawuh Kecamatan Siman Kabupaten Ponorogo. Sampel tersebut diambil dari 94 petani padi yang menggunakan pupuk tambahan POC. usahatani padi dengan pupuk tambahan POC bisa dinilai efisien beserta memiliki pengaruh terhadap produksi padi. Rata-rata produksi per Hektar adalah 7.296 Kg gabah kering panen. Rata-rata biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk usahatani padi yang menggunakan pupuk tambahan POC adalah sebesar Rp18.263.319 per hektar. Pendapatan usahatani padi yang menggunakan pupuk tambahan POC per Hektarnya sebesar Rp14.932.207 dalam satu musim tanam.

Pepper plants in Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan Province, are included in the type of plantation crops ranked the sixth largest crop yield. Some obstacles pepper farmers face are the significant investment required, the long waiting period for the harvest, climate change, fluctuating selling prices, hard-to-find labour, and restrictions on subsidized fertilizers. Those obstacles affect pepper farmers to switch to other commodities recently. Financially, this study aimed to determine farming feasibility and production factors influencing pepper farming. Thirty farmers in the area were given equal opportunities to be selected as research respondents. Data were collected in two ways: interviews and questionnaires distributed to respondents. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively by calculating total costs, revenue, income, business feasibility, and statistical tests. The analysis showed that the total production cost of IDR52,285,255 was gained from 1,457 kg per hectare production. The price per kg was IDR68,000, which resulted in an income of IDR46,790,745 per hectare. R/C analysis of 1.89 indicated farming feasibility and profitability. Based on the results of multiple regression analysis, the independent variables (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, labour, and land area) determined the amount of pepper production for 64.7%. Simultaneously, those independent variables significantly affected pepper production. Production factors significantly influenced production were fertilizers, pesticides, and land area. Tanaman lada di Kabupaten Sambas Provinsi Kalimantan Bagian Barat yang masuk dalam jenis tanaman perkebunan dengan hasil tanaman terbesar nomor 6 setelah tanaman perkebunan lainnya. Beberapa kendala yang dihadapi oleh petani lada diantaranya investasi yang diperlukan besar, masa tunggu panen yang lama, iklim, harga jual fluktuatif, tenaga kerja sulit didapat, serta pembatasan pupuk subsidi Hal ini dapat menyebabkan petani lada akan beralih ke komoditas lain jika tidak dilakukan penghitungan analisis finansialnya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui usahatani, kelayakan usahatani serta faktor produksi yang berpengaruh terhadap usahatani lada putih. Responden yang digunakan sebanyak 30 petani yang ditentukan dengan memberikan kesempatan yang sama untuk dipilih sebagai responden. Data dikumpulkan dengan dua cara yakni wawancara dan juga kuisioner yang di sebar kepada responden. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dengan menghitung biaya total, penerimaan, dan pendapatan, kelayakan usaha, serta uji statistik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dari total biaya produksi Rp52.285.255 pada produksi sebanyak 1.457 per ha yang harga per kg di harga Rp68.000, maka di peroleh pendapatan dengan besaran nilainya Rp46.790.745 per ha. Hasil perhitungan R/C ratio pada angka 1,89>1 menunjukkan hasil usaha tani pada Desa Nibung tergolong menguntungkan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi berganda, variabel independen (benih, pupuk, obat-obatan, tenaga kerja, dan luas lahan) menentukan jumlah produksi lada putih sebesar 64,7%. Secara simultan variabel independen berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produksi lada putih karena F hitung (8,781) lebih besar daripada F tabel (2,56) dengan signifikansi 0,05.
