Abstract

Main strength of agribusiness is the fulfillment of demand for agricultural products. However, this demand is often located in cities and industrial centers, whereas the production site of agribusiness is always far away from cities and industrial centers where the demand derives from. Indonesian farmers are lacking of competing ability, and therefore, it is hard to give better quality of supply and more punctuality of procurement. Punctuality is highly required by consumer and therefore, this research attempts to discuss punctuality. The objective of research is to analyze the performance of tomato beef supply chain management and the long-term relationship among the agencies of tomato beef supply chain management. To achieve this objective, research uses analysis methods of SCOR AHP and descriptive statistic. Result of research indicates that the performance of tomato beef supply chain management may be classified already as the good one but it can still be improved by establishing the main priority or the best solution alternative for supply chain management, which respectively is the making of long-term business contract. Therefore, long-term relationship among the agencies of tomato beef supply chain management will be stronger.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the mapping of prol tape value chain and the critical succes factor (CSF) to define effective strategyto improve the prol tape. The sampling methods were census and snowball sampling. The data analysis methods were mapping analysis, CSF, and benchmarking. The findings showed that the agroindustrial actors spent the highest amount of money in one production process, 2,278,999.75 rupiahs, and as the consequence got the least amount of profit, 862,292.25 rupiahs. According to the agroindustry, the most criticalfactors were taste, quality, and price, while those according to the consumers were taste, quality, and expired. The factor that had highest gap score was expired (0.97) followed by innovation (0.6) and supply (0.53). Therefore, the methods of upgrading to do were process upgrading (minimizing defects in raw materials), product upgrading (improving flavors, product diversification, mentioning expiration date and increasing supply), functional upgrading (increasing machine capacity for production) and chain upgrading (shifting the chain and not involving retailers, increasing the number of stores (outlets) in strategic locations, and buying raw materials directly from tape sellers).

Abstract

Supply chains are formed due to the need of farmers, wholesalers, retailers, supermarkets, and consumers. With a large number of agents in the organic lettuce production starting from the farmers up to supermarkets, it turns out that supply chain management has not proceeded well. Each agent has still no-good cooperation and relationship because they only work and focus on their own goals. Information desired by consumers only reaches the retailers, not up to the farmers as suppliers. This research was aimed to identify the structure of organic lettuce supply chain flow, to analyze the performance of organic lettuce supply chain management, and to formulate alternative solutions for the management performance improvement in the organic lettuce supply chain. The results showed that the agents of the supply chain in the flow of information have not flowed perfectly and completely. Improved and better supply chain management performance is highly required at wholesalers and retailers.

Abstract

Small Medium Enterprise SL (SME SL) has a fluctuating volume of demand for ground coffee and to forecast demand for the following month, they only use the owner's intuition, so they cannot ensure the availability of product stocks precisely. Therefore, the use of accurate forecasting methods is necessary for forecasting in the future. The purpose of this research is to describe the demand forecasting for robusta ground coffee in SME SL, analyze the demand forecasting for robusta ground coffee products in SME SL and compare the value of forecasting accuracy to get the best forecasting method. Determination of the sample using judgment sampling is the owner of SME SL. The data used is ground coffee demand data for the period January 2015 to August 2022. The forecasting methods used is Holt-Winters Exponential Smoothing and SARIMA. The results showed that SME SL applies executive opinion for forecasting, and the best model for forecasting product demand is the SARIMA model (0,1,1) (0,1,1)12, because it produces an MSE error value of 1.8868 and a MAPE value of 0.20% with the highest demand in January 2023 of 866.32 kg. Suggestions for SME SL to increase demand for their products by applying the SARIMA method, developing appropriate process and capacity planning strategies and making the best use of existing tourism opportunities.
