Abstract

Manajemen pengetahuan (Knowledge Management) merupakan dasar dari sebuah efektivitas dan efesiensi dalam operasional bisnis suatu perusahaan yang juga menjadi pendukung daya saing perusahaa dalam berkompetisi.  Dalam hal ini, kinerja pegawai Front Desk Agent menjadi kunci dalam memberikan kepuasan kepada setiap tamu yang ada di hotel, dikarenakan pegawai Front Desk Agent merupakan tempat pertama dan terakhir yang dijumpai oleh tamu sehingga kesan pertama dan terakhir dibentuk oleh Front Desk Agent.Penelitian yang dilaksanakan oleh penulis menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode penelitian kualitatif dilakukan secara intensif, dimana penulis juga ikut berpartisipasi dalam mencatat hal-hal yang terjadi di lapangan. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya sebuah pengetahuan (Knowledge) dalam bekerja baik di suatu organisasi maupun perusahaan. Dalam penelitian ini penulis juga mencari tahu tentang penerapan Knowledge Management yang dilaksanakan ketika operasional sedang berlangsung.  Dalam pelaksanaannya Knowledge Management di Vanilla Hotel Batam saat ini dapat dikatakan sudah terlaksana dengan cukup baik, dikarenakan seluruh kinerja karyawan Front Desk Agent telah memahami tentang pehamahan informasi dan Knowledge Management itu sendiri. Hal ini juga di dukung dengan adanya System hotel yang mendukung pelaksanaan operasional hotel  Keywords: Tourism, Industry, Knowledge Management , Front Desk Agent .

Abstract

PT. Bank Sayiah Indonesia is one of the BUMN branch offices, which must implement Good Corporate Governance in accordance with GCG principles set forth by the Minister of SOEs PER-01/MBU/2011. Internal Audit is one of the elements in GCG and has a role in overseeing the implementation of management and supervision of the company all practices undertaken by the company. The implementation of GCG in banks must follow OJK rules and follow GCG guidelines by KNKG. Therefore, this study aims to determine the implementation of GCG in the bank and determine the role of internal audit in realizing GCG implementation. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The method of analysis used in this study is a descriptive method with data collection techniques such as interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study are Islamic banks Indonesia has implemented GCG in accordance with applicable rules is by applying GCG principles. In addition, internal audit works in realizing GCG implementation of Bank Syariah Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi pengaruh Instagram @batamtoursmpolytechnic terhadap keputusan calon mahasiswa untuk mendaftar di Politeknik Pariwisata Batam. Data menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden (82,9%) mengikuti akun ini setiap hari sebelum pendaftaran, mencerminkan keterlibatan tinggi dan ketertarikan terhadap konten yang disediakan. Dengan fokus pada mahasiswa baru angkatan 2024 di Program Studi Manajemen Kuliner, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data menggunakan kuesioner yang terdiri dari pertanyaan terbuka dan tertutup. Kuesioner ini dirancang untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi responden terhadap konten Instagram @batamtoursmpolytechnic dan bagaimana konten tersebut memengaruhi keputusan mereka. Metode yang digunakan adalah desain kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, yang memungkinkan peneliti untuk menggali pemahaman mendalam mengenai fenomena ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden aktif mengikuti akun Instagram @batamtoursmpolytechnic dan merasa konten yang disajikan memengaruhi keputusan mereka untuk mendaftar di BTP. Sebanyak (75,9%) responden menganggap postingan Instagram berpengaruh besar atau sangat besar dalam keputusan pendaftaran, dan 92,3% mengikuti akun tersebut sebelum mendaftar. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa konten Instagram berperan signifikan dalam keputusan pendaftaran dan menawarkan peluang untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan dengan calon mahasiswa melalui strategi konten yang lebih relevan dan informatif. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan berharga tentang peran media sosial dalam keputusan akademik calon mahasiswa.

Abstract

This community service program focuses on improving tourism services at Kamuella Resort through a synergy between academics and industry practitioners, aiming to respond to the need for high-quality services amidst rising tourist expectations, especially after the pandemic. This collaboration blends academic insights on traveler trends and preferences with practical expertise in the daily operations of the industry, resulting in a comprehensive and sustainable service improvement strategy. Implementation methods included intensive training of employees in customer service skills, improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to align with the latest quality standards, and strengthening cross-departmental coordination to ensure service consistency in all aspects of resort operations. In addition, regular evaluations are conducted to monitor the implementation of SOPs and identify opportunities for improvement, so that employees' capabilities continue to improve and are able to meet guest expectations more effectively. The results of this program can be seen in improved employee skills, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction as reflected in positive reviews and increased customer loyalty. In addition to the benefits to the resort, the program also created a model of collaboration that can be replicated in other tourist destinations, ultimately contributing to improved service standards in the local tourism sector. The overall program demonstrates the importance of partnerships between academia and industry to create responsive, high-quality services and build a reputation that supports the competitiveness and sustainability of the tourism sector.

Abstract

Pengelolaan troli yang optimal merupakan faktor penting dalam mendukung efisiensi operasional room attendant di industri perhotelan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pacific Palace Hotel Batam untuk mengidentifikasi kendala dalam pengelolaan troli yang memengaruhi produktivitas staf housekeeping, terutama pada tingkat hunian tinggi. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan wawancara dengan tiga informan kunci (Executive Housekeeping, Supervisor Housekeeping, dan Staff Housekeeping), observasi langsung, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterbatasan jumlah troli, kondisi fisik troli yang rusak, penataan barang yang tidak terorganisir, lokasi penyimpanan troli yang tidak strategis, serta kurangnya edukasi staf merupakan kendala utama yang menurunkan efisiensi operasional. Penundaan waktu kerja akibat permasalahan ini tercatat mencapai 30–40 menit per shift. Pembahasan mengungkapkan bahwa perbaikan dalam manajemen troli dapat meningkatkan efisiensi kerja hingga 20%, sesuai dengan penelitian sebelumnya. Rekomendasi yang diusulkan meliputi penambahan jumlah troli, perbaikan kondisi fisik troli melalui pemeliharaan rutin, penerapan standar penataan barang, penempatan strategis lokasi penyimpanan troli, dan pelatihan staf secara berkala. Implementasi rekomendasi ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi waktu kerja yang terbuang, meningkatkan produktivitas room attendant, serta mendukung kualitas pelayanan kepada tamu. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengelolaan troli yang baik tidak hanya meningkatkan efisiensi operasional tetapi juga berkontribusi terhadap kepuasan tamu dan reputasi hotel. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi praktis bagi manajemen hotel dalam merumuskan strategi peningkatan operasional housekeeping.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of green finance and green environmental practices and their impact on the business and sustainable performance of SMEs, specifically among tempeh entrepreneurs in Sanan, Malang. A quantitative research design was adopted to rigorously analyze these relationships. The population comprised 145 tempeh entrepreneurs, from which a representative sample of 106 respondents was selected using Slovin's formula, ensuring a margin of error that balances precision and feasibility. Data collection was conducted through structured questionnaires that captured the extent of green finance implementation, the adoption of green environmental practices, and their perceived impact on business and sustainable performance. The collected data were then analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS), a robust statistical technique that allows for the modeling of complex relationships among the variables. The analysis confirmed that both green finance and green environmental practices significantly and positively influence the business performance and sustainability of SMEs. These findings underscore the critical role of environmentally conscious financial and operational strategies in driving sustainable growth within the SME sector. By integrating these practices, tempeh entrepreneurs can not only enhance their business performance but also contribute to broader environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of implementing a hybrid rate strategy in reaching various guest segments based on room booking affiliation in the hotel industry in Indonesia. Hybrid rates combine static and dynamic rate elements that allow hotels to adjust prices according to the characteristics of booking channels and customer needs. A qualitative approach was used in this study through a guided survey of key informants consisting of hotel managers and leaders in various regions. The study's results indicate that hybrid rates are most effectively applied to the OTA, travel agent, and individual customer segments that are responsive to price changes. Meanwhile, the corporate and government segments still require a more stable rate structure, although it can be adjusted through contract negotiations and seasonal offers. The main obstacles in implementing this strategy include the limitations of the hotel's technology system, differences in customer perceptions of price, and difficulties in communicating rate policies transparently. This study concludes that the success of hybrid rates is largely determined by the hotel's ability to map the characteristics of booking affiliations, manage the price distribution system consistently, and build effective communication with customers

Abstract

This study explores the SWOT analysis of the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) specializing in tempe production in Sanan, Malang. The analysis includes the impacts of environmental violations such as air and water pollution. A detailed rating and graphical analysis are provided to illustrate the findings. The study aims to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats these SMEs face, focusing on their environmental compliance and its effects on their operations and community. The research employs a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative data to offer a comprehensive view of the current situation and suggest actionable recommendations.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of product quality and social media-based e-marketing in shaping consumer purchasing decisions for coffee in Banjaran. Using a quantitative approach, data will be collected from customers of selected Banjaran coffee shops, analyzing how perceived product excellence and social media marketing (e.g., Instagram promotions, influencer collaborations, or online engagement) collectively drive buying behavior. Statistical methods, such as regression analysis, will determine the strength of these factors’ influence. The findings aim to provide actionable insights for Kopi Banjaran businesses to refine their product offerings and leverage social media strategies effectively, thereby enhancing customer attraction and sales performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of theoretical and practical learning during the first six months of the 6+6 program at Batam Tourism Polytechnic on the readiness of Culinary Management Study Program students to undergo internships in the industry. The approach used is a mixed method, with a quantitative method in the form of a pre-test and post-test using multiple-choice questions analyzed using N-Gain, as well as a closed questionnaire. The qualitative method was carried out through an open questionnaire that was analyzed thematically. The results showed that all students experienced a significant increase in scores, with an average N-Gain of 0.72 (high category), which indicates effective learning in forming technical competencies. In addition, students and lecturers assessed that the curriculum, facilities, and integration of theory-practice had run well. However, there are still gaps in soft skills aspects such as professional communication, stress management, and mental readiness. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen simulation-based learning and case studies so that graduates are not only technically ready, but also adaptive to industry challenges. This study contributes to the development of a vocational education curriculum based on work experience and becomes a reference for tourism education institutions in improving industrial internship programs.
