Abstract

Supply is one of the most important factors for the company, but there are still so many companies who don’t understand about how to monitoring their supplies so there will be not too much or too little supplies for them to manage. Some of the important things are to know how many supplies that a company should prepare to fulfill the needs of supply for the next period. This essay is aimed to investigate whether there was a shift/moving towards the supplies and the factor, which trigger the moving, how many supplies that the company should have and the cost that they have to pay to fulfill the supplies. The result shows that there was a moving of supplies, which has been cause by some factors. The kind of research that being used is a descriptive research, with a quantitative data. And the methods that being used is the case study, The point of this research is because of the moving of supplies that has been caused by the age of the supplies, the company have to calculate how many supplies that they should have to fulfill the needs of the next period.

Abstract

Knowledge management is an emerging discipline and professionalism, creativity, innovation, organization and teams need to be thought about in this new context. This paper creates a framework in which to discuss these concepts with literature research. It goes on to explore how our professionalisms, creativity and innovations is blocked in variety ways, including deep-seated beliefs about the world. The need for professional skills today in workplace faces a number of challenges, especially in unfamiliar and unpredictable situations. Finally this paper takes a brief look at two tools to support knowledge management, professionalisms, creativity and innovations - one in the human domain and the other in the technology domain. We are also needs to boost its capacity for continuous professionalism, creativity and innovation for both technology, social, economic, and organization reasons.

Abstract

PT Damai Sejahtera Utama is a manufacturing company engaged in timber production. The company is processing wood sticks (logs) into plywood. The purpose of this research is to find the most efficient production patterns with the pattern approach 3 (three) of production, namely: Wavy production patterns, production patterns Constant, and Moderate production patterns. With this method is expected to determine the most appropriate production pattern with the condition of the company, so as to minimize Incremental costs that will occur. The results of this study indicate that by using corrugated production patterns can cause incremental cost of 3,330,267,500 IDR. For Constant production patterns can lead to costs amounting to 3,696,317,500 IDR whereas if the company uses pattern Moderate production costs to be incurred amounted to 3,289,417,500 IDR. From the results of this study showed that moderate production patterns have the smallest Incremental costs compared to the wavy or constant patterns of production.

Abstract

This study aims to determine prediction number of modern private Vocational High School (SMK) students in a province in Borneo with the approach of six forecasting methods: Linear Regression, Exponential Smoothing with Trend, Exponential Smoothing, Weighted Moving Average, Moving Average, and the Naive Method, besides using Manual calculation, the approach of QM for windows is used as a comparison. The result will be determined by the six forecasting methods which is used as a proper basis for the next calculating based on the smallest MAD (Mean Absolute Deviation) and MSE (Mean Squared Error) approach. The data in this study were made by the writer alone.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is determining direction of the correct business strategy to be applied by PT CTL, a garment company producing cloth for men. Research method used by the author is descriptive analysis with a case study research method. Research is conducted by collecting data obtained through survey by interview and giving questionnaire to all staff and head and also observation by evaluating directly the research object and also through literature study. Data analysis is conducted through input phase by using IFAS and EFAS matrix, adaptation phase with TOWS diagram, TOWS matrix and Internal-External matrix, and also uses SPACE matrix and also BCG matrix to analyse companys finance situation. Based on the conducted analysist the recommended corporation level strategy to be used by the company is diversification strategy direct to growth and stability.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to measure the student response in comparison between Management Department and Accounting Department at the Faculty of Economics, University of Bunda Mulia, against a system of learning in the e-learning system based. The samples are taken by using non-probability sampling method that is very much purposive. The amount of data to be collected as many as 300 students (respondents) conducted in a proportion as of for the Accounting Department samples of 150 respondents were taken and from the Department of Management also 150 respondents were taken, with a standard error in around 1%. The amount of data is adjusted to the time of data collection conducted during the months of March to May 2008, this was also during the lectures take place in the second semester of 2007/2008. For the idea of applying the e-learning system based, the result in the major of accounting, which are 76%, said that the idea seems to be right if e-Learning is applied but for the Department of Management students, only 32% of students who was responded quite well.

Abstract

Goods distribution has a firm connection with transportation cost. Transportation method used by a company will cause great impact on company’s profit. If company’s profit can be maximal, the company will be able to develop its business even greater. Some problem solution steps proposed were: determining optimum criteria, developing alternative solution, developing optimum model, and  practicing chosen implicative planning solution. These steps were implemented to obtain optimum goods distribution cost to gain maximum profit.  This research resulted in that the distribution cost for goods implemented by current method in the company has been already optimum. Then for the following development, Decision Tree Method was used, where the results are: shipping to Yogyakarta using Sinar Aji transportation service with minimum EMV Rp.2.993.342; shipping to Salatiga using own car with EMV Rp.2.659.388; shipping to Purwokerto using Sinar Aji transportation service with EMV Rp.2.563.859; shipping to Cirebon using Sinar Aji transportaion service with EMV Rp.2.443.792; shipping to Semarang using Sinar Aji transportation service with EMV Rp.4.203.489. As the conclusion, goods shipping method which has been implemented by the company until now is optimum so it still can be used for any following business development as well as provides an iluustrative plan for the company.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the the achievement in terms of the company finance, on whether it adds value or not to shareholders and investors) in generating profit on top of used capital or normally mentioned as the method of EVA. This research was carried out against 10 retail trade companies that registered in BEJ during the finance year of 2005 by using the documentary or secondary data obtained from the Centre of the Pasar Modal Reference (PRPM) in the Building of Bursa Efek Jakarta (BEJ). Evaluation results suggested 6 companies for future investment.

Abstract

Objective of this research is to find model which measure productivity. That measuring uses a ratio between effectivity of goal achievement as the certain quality level (output) and efficiency application of available source (input). It is concluded that (1) to increase productivity input and output are variable which must be controlled; (2) Increasing productivity can increase competitive power of a company and also can a help a company to have a new investment.
