Abstract

In contemporary Christian ministry, the issue of inclusivity toward marginalized groups is often neglected. The Parable of the Wedding Banquet in Matthew 22:1–14 offers a profound theological insight into the divine invitation that transcends social boundaries. This study aims to explore the theological meaning of this parable as a foundation for inclusive discipleship and ministry to the marginalized. This research employs a qualitative approach using a literature study and narrative theological analysis. The text of Matthew 22:1–14 is examined exegetically, considering its historical, social, and canonical context, and interpreted in the light of public theology and contemporary discipleship praxis. The findings reveal that the invitation in the parable is not only universal but also explicitly embraces those who are socially excluded. The act of “inviting everyone found on the streets” affirms inclusivity as a characteristic of the Kingdom of God. Discipleship emerging from this invitation is transformative, requiring acceptance, repentance, and faithfulness. These findings affirm that the Church is called to be a community of embrace rather than exclusion. Inclusive ministry is not merely a social approach but a prophetic act rooted in a theological understanding of grace. The practical implication is the need to reposition discipleship strategies to actively reach out to the marginalized, rather than passively waiting for their participation.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of financial mathematics and artificial intelligence (AI), focusing on credit risk analysis within the financial industry. Traditionally, financial mathematics has played a central role in modeling and assessing credit risk. However, recent technological advancements have enabled a more synergistic relationship between financial mathematics and AI, particularly through the use of machine learning. This integration enhances risk assessment by leveraging classification algorithms to uncover complex patterns in historical data patterns that are often difficult to detect using conventional methods. Through a case study in the financial sector, this research explores the application of classification algorithms to better understand customer behavior, evaluate credit history, and predict the likelihood of future loan repayment. In the realm of machine learning, classification techniques are essential for processing large volumes of data and generating accurate risk predictions. By combining the analytical rigor of financial mathematics with the predictive power of machine learning, this study aims to develop a robust and adaptive model for credit risk analysis one capable of responding to dynamic market and economic conditions, and improving the overall decision-making process in credit assessment.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of Electronic Supply Chain Management (e-SCM) implementation on operational performance and customer satisfaction in Indonesian e-commerce companies. As digital commerce continues to grow rapidly, primarily through platforms such as Shopee and Tokopedia, understanding the effectiveness of supply chain digitization becomes increasingly crucial. The study aims to identify which e-SCM factors contribute most significantly to enhancing company performance and meeting evolving consumer expectations. Using a quantitative approach with 252 respondents, factor analysis identified six critical success factors: market adaptation, inventory control, revenue improvement, remote product monitoring, product quality, and technology utilization. The results demonstrate that effective e-SCM implementation significantly improves process efficiency, cost accuracy, service responsiveness, and product availability, all of which are strongly correlated with customer satisfaction. Furthermore, this research highlights the practical implications for e-commerce companies to overcome challenges such as integration complexity and cybersecurity risks. The findings provide a strategic foundation for firms seeking to enhance their digital supply chains and maintain competitiveness in a rapidly evolving market landscape.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of aggregate planning methods in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) operating in the aluminum industry within the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) region. It addresses the lack of structured aggregate planning practices in these enterprises and introduces an illustrative framework for evaluating labor control strategies. A heuristic approach is applied to compare cost estimations under three different aggregate planning methods: Permanent Workforce Control, Subcontract Control, and Hiring and Layoffs Control. Four MSMEs were selected as case study subjects, and cost-based simulations were conducted to demonstrate the potential impact of each method. The analysis reveals comparative outcomes of each method across the four case studies. While specific results are not detailed here, the study provides a practical view of cost variations associated with each planning strategy. The study is limited to illustrative simulation based on four MSMEs in a single industrial sector and region. Further empirical validation is recommended. The study serves as a preliminary reference for MSMEs to assess the suitability of different workforce planning approaches in response to fluctuating production demands.

Abstract

The Israel-Palestine conflict has had a significant impact on multinational companies like Starbucks, with boycotts being conducted as a form of protest against alleged support for Israel by Starbucks. The boycott has greatly affected the company's finances, as well as its reputation and overall business expansion. This study aims to assess the financial condition of Starbucks following the boycott phenomenon. The method used in this research is literature review. The collected data shows the extent of Starbucks' financial decline, including not only global sales but also the drop in Starbucks' stock price. Additionally, the study provides information on the reasons behind the boycott and Starbucks' clarifications. Based on the data obtained, Starbucks experienced the longest and steepest stock decline since its IPO, with an 11-day consecutive drop from $107.21 to $93.8906, amounting to approximately $12 billion. This decline reflects investor concerns about the company's sales trends. Starbucks also faced a sales drop of $862.3 million in Q1 2024. Furthermore, the boycott's effects caused Starbucks to delay its expansion and only realize new store openings in Q1 2024. This is because Starbucks focused more on the welfare of its employees and improving sales performance. To mitigate the impact of the boycott, Starbucks can diversify its services, invest in digital technology, and maintain transparent communication to avoid misunderstandings. By taking appropriate and responsive actions, Starbucks can restore sales and consumer trust.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low scores on midterm and final exams in the Citylight GBI Rayon 8 youth worship programme, where some children scored below the minimum standard of 70. This raised questions about the effectiveness of the methods used to teach the Word of God, particularly the use of PowerPoint teaching media and the level of creativity of Sunday School teachers/facilitators in delivering the material. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a significant relationship between the use of PowerPoint teaching media and facilitator creativity with children's understanding of the Word of God, as measured by mid-term and final exam scores. This study employs a quantitative method with a correlational approach. Data was collected through a 15-item questionnaire using a Likert scale distributed to 64 respondents, who were a sample of the total 175 children. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS software to test validity, significance, and correlations between variables. The results of the study indicate a significant relationship between facilitator creativity in using PowerPoint teaching media and improved children's absorption of the Word of God. Children who participated in worship using engaging and creative teaching media tended to have better understanding and achieved scores above 70. The conclusion of this study emphasises the importance of creative facilitators in supporting the effectiveness of learning God's Word, as well as the need for collaboration between the church and parents in strengthening children's understanding outside the context of Sunday worship.
