Abstract

This research examines the interaction of two populations with Holling type II response functions and hunting cooperation in predators. The mathematical model developed is based on natural phenomena, namely the interaction between wolves and deer. Wolves often cooperate to hunt in packs, with most of their prey consisting of physically or health weak individuals, one of which is deer. The dynamics analysis begins with determining the basic assumptions of model construction, equilibrium and stability points, and numerical simulation using PPlane. The results of the dynamics analysis show that there are three equilibrium points with stability types, namely E1(0,0) , which is unstable, E2(k, 0) and E3 which is asymptotically stable under certain conditions. Numerical simulation results show the existence of double stability at equilibrium points E2 and E3 with prey to predator conversion parameter value 2.03 shows a change in stability that only occurs at point E2 . The difference in the value of prey to predator conversion affects in the change in the system solution and has an impact on reducing the predator population.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the representation built by the author of Le Figaro news article in this discourse towards the Asian community in France with structures according to Teun Van Dijk. This descriptive qualitative research was conducted to find out and obtain the structures of critical discourse from the perspective of Teun A van Dijk in the online media Le Figaro with the study of critical discourse analysis. The data sources used are news articles published by Margaux d'Adhémar from Le Figaro online media in January 2020. The objects of this research are words, phrases, clauses, and sentences contained in the article. The data collection technique of this research comes from documentation study research. The data analysis technique used is van Dijk's critical discourse analysis study model which includes three structures, namely the text dimension, social cognition, and social context. If analysed in general, the news writer wants to convey a message about the social problems that befall some Asian communities in France after the emergence of the Covid-19 case in France. These problems are racist acts that occur to the Asian community in France. So that this incident is the background for the emergence of the anti-racism movement "Je Ne Suis Pas Un Virus". Through the discourse strategy model of Teun A van Dijk, this research found that the information in each sentence contained in the text is related to the next information sentence. This study also found that the text of this news article is one of the representations of the social conditions of the Asian community in France who experience racist acts.

Abstract

This article discusses the Holling Tanner prey predator model and Holling type II response function with additional food in the second level predator. The dynamic analysis of the system begins with determining the equilibrium point, analyzing the stability of the equilibrium point, and numerical simulation with python. The results of the dynamic analysis obtain seven equilibrium points, namely E1 extinction in three populations, point E2 extinction in the population of prey and first level predator, point E3 extinction in the first and second level predator populations, point E4 extinction in the second level predator population, point E5 extinction in the first level predator population, and point E6 the three populations are not extinction. The results of the stability analysis around the equilibrium point E1, E2, E3 are shown to be saddle unstable, then E4, E5, E6 are asymptotically stable with certain conditions. Numerical simulation is applied to determine the validity of the analytical results. The simulation results illustrate changes in the system solution in the form of phase portraits. The bifurcation diagram of the numerical continuation of the maximum predation rate parameter of the second-level predator (β) shows the existence of Hopf bifurcation when maximum predation rate parameter of the second-level predator with β = 2.1014232 and Transcritical bifurcation when maximum predation rate parameter of the second-level predator with β = 3.197.

Abstract

The harvesting of population has a dominant influence in balancing the ecosystem. In this manuscript, the impact of harvesting in addition to competition, and memory effect on a prey-predator interaction following the Lotka-Volterra model is studied. The mathematical validation is provided by proofing that all solutions of the model are always exist, non-negative, and bounded. Obeying Matignon condition, Lyapunov function, and generalized LaSalle invariance principle, the local and global stability are investigated. To complete the analytical results, some numerical simulations are given to show the occurrence of forward bifurcation and the impact of the memory index. All results state that three possible circumstances may occur namely the extinction of both populations, the prey-only population, and the co-existence of both populations.

Abstract

This research develops a mathematical model of a natural phenomenon, namely sea snails that can release toxins (allelopathy) so that non-toxic sea snails become afraid. In addition, toxic and non-toxic sea snails share biotic resources. Based on the existing phenomenon, the model of fear effect caused by allelopathy in the competitive interaction model with shared biotic resources will be studied. In this system, three equilibrium points are obtained: extinction point of prey, extinction point of predator, and coexisting point under certain conditions. Analysis of local stability at equilibrium points by linearization shows that all equilibrium points are asymptotically stable with certain conditions. Numerical simulations at the equilibrium point show the same results as the analysis results. Then, numerical continuity was carried out by selecting variation of the fear effect parameter for Numerical continuity results show that changes in these parameters affect the population of toxic and non-toxic species, marked by the emergence of Transcritical bifurcations, Bifurcation occurs at the first Saddle-Node bifurcation at and the second Saddle-Node bifurcation at

Abstract

The prey-predator model in this article reviews the interaction of two populations with a type III Holling -type III functional response and anti-predator behavior. The dynamic analysis starts by determining the basic model construction assumptions, equilibrium and stability points, and numerical simulations using Python. Dynamic analysis results obtained four equilibrium points with types of stability, namely.  which is unstable,   which is asymptotically stable  , and   . Which is stable under certain conditions. The numerical simulation results show double stability at the equilibrium points. and  with the anti-predator behavior parameter value . The anti-predator parameter value  indicates a change in stability that is only the   equilibrium point. Differences in the values of the anti-predator behavior parameters affect changes in system solutions and impact reducing predator populations.
