Excessive pesticide use and intensive shallot farming to satisfy high market demand can degrade soil quality and harm environmental sustainability. Sustainable agricultural practices, such as biochar and compost are alternatives to ensure long-term soil productivity and fertility. This study aimed to investigate the ability of biochar and compost made from bagasse waste to improve shallot growth, yield, nutrient absorption, and soil quality. The research used a factorial randomized block design in a greenhouse. The first factor was the application of biochar and compost (K1 = compost, K2 = biochar, K3 = biochar-compost (1:4/w:w) and K4 = biochar-compost (1:2/w:w), and the second factor was the dose of NPK fertilizer (0%, 50%, and 100% of the recommended dose). The planting medium used was an Inceptisol from shallot fields in Sukaharjo, Central Java. The variables measured included plant growth, yield components, soil chemical properties, and levels of N, P, and K in plants. The results showed that the combination of compost with 100% NPK fertilizer gave better results in plant growth, fresh and dry weight of plants and tubers, increased organic C, total N, and CEC of the soil, and increased the absorption of N, P, and K by plants.

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) is a form of community service activities carried out by universities. In KKN activities carried out in Gapura Village, Pujut District, the Mataram University KKN student group carried out various activities with the main target being handling problems in the agricultural sector. Gapura Village is a village where the majority of the population are farmers. Most farmers in this village prefer to use chemical fertilizers rather than organic fertilizers. Most of the farmers in this village also work as livestock breeders. However, people are still unable to manage their livestock waste properly. Therefore, the aim of implementing this KKN activity is to overcome several problems related to community difficulties in obtaining chemical fertilizers such as urea, community dependence on the use of chemical fertilizers which can have a negative impact on crop yields and damage the soil, lack of community knowledge about the use of compost fertilizer, and the community's difficulty in dealing with livestock waste, especially goat manure. There are several methods implemented, namely surveys, training in making fertilizer from goat manure, and socializing the results of compost fertilizer products. The results of this activity are the availability of compost fertilizer as a substitute for chemical fertilizer, utilizing existing goat manure waste and increasing the community's knowledge and skills in processing goat manure into compost, as well as providing more in-depth information to the public regarding the benefits of fertilizer, business potential that can be explored, and The positive impact that can result from using livestock manure as raw material for compost fertilizer.

Community Service (KKN) is a form of community service activity carried out by universities. In the KKN activities carried out in Gapura Village, located in Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, various activities were carried out with the main target of mentoring watermelon-based processing as a basis for the creative economy. The purpose of implementing this KKN activity is to maximize the use of local resources through innovation and development of agricultural-based processed products, with the main focus on the management of watermelon agricultural products in Gapura Village, Central Lombok. The results of this activity are the development of watermelon-based processed products in Gapura Village, Central Lombok, aimed at maximizing the use of agricultural products, especially in overcoming the abundant production of watermelon, most of which has not been utilized effectively, especially the skin which is often considered waste. With this background, this study aims to develop watermelon processed products, including watermelon chips innovations from the skin, as an effort to present creative and economical solutions. Through the method of mentoring activities for local residents, especially mothers as KKN activities, continued with the processing process, this study also includes training and mentoring programs for the community regarding effective processing and packaging techniques. As a result, the comprehensive utilization of watermelon has not only succeeded in reducing waste, but also increasing economic value for the people of Gapura Village. In addition, watermelon rind chips products show significant market potential, thanks to their uniqueness and contribution to the principle of sustainability. Therefore, this watermelon-based processed product development initiative offers a sustainable creative economic model that has the potential to improve the welfare of farmers in Gapura Village.

Sumber daya pesisir memiliki peran strategis dalam menopang perekonomian masyarakat, terutama di wilayah pesisir seperti Pantai Cemara, Lembar, Lombok Barat. Namun, potensi ini belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal karena masih lemahnya kapasitas kewirausahaan masyarakat dan minimnya pengelolaan usaha berbasis hasil laut. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pelaku UKM dalam mengelola, mengembangkan, dan memasarkan produk berbasis hasil laut secara profesional dan berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif dan edukatif melalui pelatihan, diskusi interaktif, serta pendampingan teknis. Materi pelatihan mencakup kewirausahaan dasar, manajemen usaha, strategi pemasaran, dan pemanfaatan teknologi sederhana. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kapasitas peserta, yang terlihat dari evaluasi kuantitatif sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan. Meskipun perubahan nilai kategori belum signifikan, namun antusiasme peserta yang tinggi dan keterlibatan aktif menunjukkan bahwa program ini sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat. Kegiatan ini menjadi langkah awal menuju pemberdayaan ekonomi yang berkelanjutan di kawasan pesisir dan dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut melalui pelatihan lanjutan, pendampingan usaha, dan kolaborasi dengan pemangku kepentingan terkait.

This study aims to analyze farm labourers' wages in tobacco farming from an Islamic economic perspective in Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency. The research study focuses on implementing work agreements, the amount of wages, and the provision of wages to farm labourers in tobacco farming. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection was carried out through observation and in-depth interviews. Informants were determined using the snowball sampling technique and descriptive data analysis. The study concludes that labour wages in rice farming in Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency, have been implemented following Islamic law, namely the existence of an unwritten work agreement (agreement), work implementation according to the agreement, wages are paid on time according to the agreement, and there is an attitude of mutual assistance (ta'awun), sincerity, mutual consent (antaradin) and mutual consent (willingness) between workers and farm owners. It is recommended that workers in rice farming and tobacco farmers remain trustworthy and honest in implementing wages according to Islamic law as part of carrying out worship

Keberhasilan suatu usahatani selain dipengaruhi oleh faktor alam, juga dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan petani dalam melaksanakan manajemen usahatani. Oleh karena itu dalam menjalankan suatu usahatani sangat diperlukan pengetahuan dalam mengelolanya, karena manajemen mendasari setiap kegiatan yang akan dilakukan dalam usahatani, seiring perkembangan jaman di era digitalisasi ,manajemen mutlak dibutuhkan pada setiap usaha yang akan datang maupun yang sudah dijalankan petani, namun tidak semua petani dapat melaksanakan dengan baik, karena adanya keterbatasan yang dimiliki oleh petani serta faktor alam, hal inilah menjadi kendala dalam pelaksanaannya. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan tentang manajemen usahatani bagi petani/kelompok tani dalam mengelola usahataninya.Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa penyuluhan tentang Manajemen Usahatani pada Petani/Kelompok Tani Binaan Kios Pengecer P3 Pelopor di desa Gannga Kecamatan Gangga kabupaten Lombok Utara berjalan sesuai dengan yang direncanakan. Awal dari kegitan melakukan test pengetahuan tentang pemahaman manajemen dalam bisnis , selanjutnya dilakukan penyampaian materi dari tim pengabdian selama 40 menit kemudian dilanjutkan dengan diskusi . Hasil diskusi peserta berjalan dengan baik sehingga anggota kelompok tani mampu menerima dan melaksanakan kegiatan usahataninya dengan menerapkan prinsip-prinsip manajemen sehingga biaya-biaya usaha tani dapat di tekan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan. Hadir dalam penyuluhan manajemen usahatani ketua kelompok tani dan anggota kelompok tani berjumlah 20 orang peserta dan diahdiri dari perwakilan distributor CV. Sasak Agrotani yaitu direktur dan staf yang turut serta memberikan arahan.

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) merupakan bentuk kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan oleh perguruan tinggi. Dalam kegiatan KKN yang dilaksanakan di Desa Gapura, yang terletak di Kecamatan Pujut, Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat melaksanakan berbagai kegiatan dengan sasaran utama pada Pendampingan pengolahan berbahan dasar semangka sebagai basis ekonomi kreatif. Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan KKN ini adalah untuk memaksimalkan pemanfaatan sumber daya lokal melalui inovasi dan pengembangan produk olahan berbasis pertanian, dengan fokus utama pada pengelolaan hasil pertanian semangka di Desa Gapura, Lombok Tengah. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah Pengembangan produk olahan berbahan dasar semangka di Desa Gapura, Lombok Tengah, ditujukan untuk memaksimalkan pemanfaatan hasil pertanian, terutama dalam mengatasi melimpahnya produksi semangka yang sebagian besarnya belum dimanfaatkan secara efektif, khususnya bagian kulit yang seringkali dianggap sebagai limbah. Dengan latar belakang tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk olahan semangka, termasuk inovasi keripik semangka dari kulitnya, sebagai upaya menghadirkan solusi kreatif dan ekonomis. Melalui metode kegiatan pendampingan pada warga sekitar teutama Ibu-ibu sebagai kegiatan KKN, dilanjutkan dengan proses Pengolahan pembuatan, penelitian ini juga menyertakan program pelatihan dan pendampingan untuk masyarakat mengenai teknik pengolahan, pengemasan yang efektif. Hasilnya, pemanfaatan komprehensif semangka tidak hanya berhasil mengurangi limbah, tetapi juga meningkatkan nilai ekonomi bagi masyarakat Desa Gapura. Di samping itu, produk keripik kulit semangka menunjukkan potensi pasar yang signifikan, berkat keunikannya serta kontribusinya terhadap prinsip keberlanjutan. Oleh karena itu, inisiatif pengembangan produk olahan berbahan dasar semangka ini menawarkan model ekonomi kreatif berkelanjutan yang berpotensi meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani di Desa Gapura.

Pengolahan produksi daun tembakau virginia di Desa Gapura Kecamatan Pujut Kabupaten Lombok Tengah sebagian besar dilakukan dengan cara pengovenan dan hanya sedikit dilakukan dengan cara perajangan. Beberapa tahun terakhir ini terjadi peningkatan permintaan produk tembakau rajangan sehingga banyak petani tembakau yang mengolah produksi daun tembakaunya dengan cara perajangan. Adanya fenomena ini dipandang penting untuk melakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat terkait keputusan pengolahan produksi daun tembakau virginia. Tujuan pengabdian untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada petani dalam mengambil keputusan pengolahan daun tembakau virginia dengan cara pengovenan atau perajangan. Kegiatan Pengabdian dilakukan dengan metode penyuluhan sekaligus FDG (focus discussion group) diantara petani tembakau virginia, mitra serta staf desa gapura. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa petani tembakau memahami dengan baik berbagai aspek yang dipertimbangkan dalam mengambil keputusan mengolah produk daun tembakau dengan cara pengovenan atau perajang serta memahami perbandingan biaya dan pendapatan ekonomis yang diperoleh dari pemilihan keputusan cara pengolahan yang digunakan. Hasil pemantauan diketahui sebagian petani mengolah produksi daun tembakau virginia dengan cara perajangan karena perajangan dipandang lebih peraktis dan sedikit menggunakan tenaga kerja.
