Abstract

AbstractThe mining safety management system is an important aspect that needs to be considered in mining companies, because the success of the company's production is also determined by worker safety. In Indonesia, the Mining Safety Management System (SMKP) must be implemented by mining companies and mining service companies, in accordance with Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation No. 26 of 2018. This regulation aims to evaluate the effectiveness of planned, measurable, structured and integrated mining safety management. This research aims to evaluate the implementation of the Mining Safety Management System at PT Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara in 2022 using primary data and secondary data. Primary data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The informants in this research were 2 SHES Managers and SHS Superintendents, 3 Operation Division managers, 3 field personnel from each business activity area of PT Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara. Secondary data was collected from various sources such as academic literature, government regulations related to mining safety, accident or inspection reports, company policies, and internal documents of PT Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara. The results of the research show that the implementation of the Mining Safety Management System at PT Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara has not yet been completed in accordance with the Decree of the Director General of Mineral and Coal of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 185.K/37.04/DJB/2019, there are still several elements that have not been implemented or are even still in process and are not yet running properly. planning that is not yet in accordance with the conditions and programs set, organizational and personnel elements that have not been socialized optimally, implementation elements that have not all been implemented, monitoring, evaluation and follow-up elements that still have deficiencies, documentation elements that have not all been socialized, and management review elements the implementation of which does not yet involve the company's highest leadership and has not been carried out in a planned manner.Keywords: Evaluation, Mining safety, Mining safety management system

Abstract

Penggunaan pupuk organik kini menjadi perhatian utama dalam usaha meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini meneliti pemanfaatan sumber daya alam oleh Kelompok Tani "Sukomulyo" di Desa Sukorejo, Kecamatan Sukorejo, Kabupaten Ponorogo, dalam pembuatan pupuk organik. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok tani ini menggunakan limbah pertanian dan limbah organik lainnya sebagai bahan baku pupuk organik. Proses pembuatan dilakukan secara tradisional dengan memanfaatkan kompos, pupuk kandang, serta mikroorganisme pengurai tanah. Selain itu, kelompok tani ini juga menerapkan praktik pertanian organik yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mengenai strategi pemanfaatan sumber daya alam dalam produksi pupuk organik di pedesaan, serta menekankan pentingnya praktik pertanian yang berkelanjutan. Kesimpulannya, pendekatan ini berpotensi meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian secara berkelanjutan dengan tetap menjaga keseimbangan ekologi dan sumber daya alam.

Abstract

Introduction: In Indonesia, it is estimated that more than 20 million cases of food poisoning occur each year, with a considerable portion linked to hospital kitchens. This alarming statistic underscores the critical need for strict adherence to hygiene and sanitation standards, as well as occupational safety protocols in food processing. Despite the presence of regulations, including the Indonesian Ministry of Health's guidelines on food hygiene and sanitation, challenges persist. Method: This study employed a qualitative case study approach to provide an in-depth exploration of the phenomena associated with hygiene, sanitation, and occupational safety practices, emphasizing the perspectives and experiences of those involved. Result: Food handlers demonstrated adequate knowledge; however, implementation of hygiene, sanitation, and occupational safety was inconsistent, particularly in PPE use and SOP adherence. Long working hours and kitchen conditions affected compliance. Food receiving procedures complied with Minister of Health Regulation No. 2 of 2023. Conclution: The study concludes that although employees in RS X's nutrition department are aware of hygiene, sanitation, and occupational safety, there are notable gaps in their implementation. This includes inconsistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE), incomplete adherence to standard operating procedures, and insufficient training on workplace safety.

Abstract

Diabetes Melitus  (DM) adalah penyakit metabolik kronis yang ditandai dengan kadar glukosa darah tinggi dan menjadi masalah kesehatan global dengan prevalensi meningkat. Perlu strategi yang lebih efektif dalam upaya mencegah dan mengelola penyakit DM. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis keberhasilan atau kegagalan pasien Diabetes Mellitus  dalam mengadopsi gaya hidup sehat di Puskesmas Telagasari, Kabupaten Karawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Informan terdiri dari 10 pasien DM tipe 2 yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling dengan kriteria telah terdiagnosis minimal satu tahun dan menjalani perawatan rutin di Puskesmas Telagasari. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dan observasi langsung. Wawancara menggali pengalaman pasien dalam menerapkan gaya hidup sehat, sedangkan observasi menganalisis interaksi pasien dengan tenaga kesehatan serta kondisi sosial dan fisik di puskesmas. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis tematik dengan menggunakan aplikasi Nvivo ver.15 untuk mengidentifikasi pola, tantangan utama, serta faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan pasien dalam mengelola DM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan dan emosional terhadap keberhasilan atau kegagalan pasien dalam mengelola penyakit DM menyebutkan bahwa keluarga baik itu istri, suami dan anak atau lingkungan sosial seperti teman, rekan kerja dan lingkungan luar di sekitar sangat berpengaruh dalam pengelolaan penyakit DM. Semua informan menyatakan tantangan terbesar dalam menghadapi penyakit DM adalah pola makan dan gaya hidup seperti kebiasaan yang tidak bisa dirubah sebelum seseorang terjangkit DM, konsumsi makanan tinggi gula dan lemak, kurang serat, serta jadwal makan yang tidak teratur dapat menyebabkan lonjakan kadar gula darah dan meningkatkan risiko diabetes.
